Cement pavement block are worldwide used to cover streets as an alternative to petroleum-base asphalt. These blocks are required to be not only strong but also dense and impact resistant. Packing of the precursor materials is an important factor in the final properties. In principal, this could be improved by the incorporation of another stable powder material like a local cost mineral residue or waste. The objective of this work is to investigate the effect of addition of a powder waste on the composition of a cement pavement block by means of an experimental planning. This planning was assoc

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify the latent constructs of various barriers affecting Six Sigma implementation in Indian industries. Design/methodology/approach Literature review resulted in 15 frequently reported barriers in Six Sigma implementation. An empirical survey of 168 Six Sigma practitioners including green belts, black belts (BB), and master BB from 40 Indian companies was conducted with the help of a structured questionnaire. The responses were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis which resulted into five constructs. Findings The study proposes five constructs,

Implementing complex and yet sound and effective accounting information systems known as enterprise resource planning systems, is an enormous project for the firms that want to streamline their information flow and increase their value. As the effects of these systems on the performance of the entities are both financial and non-financial, their success is of crucial importance. This study is an exploratory factorial analysis to identify the factors of successful implementation of ERP systems in the medium and big companies in Albania. We use in depth surveys and interviews with firms that hav

This research aims at studying the integration of ICT in mathematics teaching at the junior and high school levels. An experiment was conducted with a sample of 120 Moroccan teachers from Marrakech-Safi, Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and Fes-Meknes regions. The teachers responded to a questionnaire of 31 modalities, which deal with the knowledge of the institutional aspects of ICT integration in teaching, educational planning, as well as some didactic aspects in the context of ICT integration. The analysis of the answers was conducted following a multidimensional approach. Thus, thanks

The article presents the results of studies of the process of electrostatic fumigation of seeds of leguminous crops with an ionized fumigating agent in a drum-type installation by methods of mathematical planning. A complete factorial experiment of type 23 is implemented. An equation is obtained that adequately describes this process, and its graphic interpretation is given. Practical recommendations are given for the development of regimes for industrial fumigation of seeds of leguminous crops, allowing to predict the conditions of the process.

Justice and fairness are increasingly popular concepts in energy research and comprise several justice dimensions, including distributive and procedural justice, related to energy production and consumption. In this paper, we used factorial survey experiments—a method employed in sociological justice research—for energy transition research. In a factorial survey, respondents evaluated one or more situations described by several attributes, which varied in their levels. The experimental setup of factorial surveys is one of its advantages over simple survey items, as based on this, the relative

It will be an important issue due to individual financial decisions which accumulate as a whole country's economic performance. This research introduces the idea to combine personal biases stated in behavioral economic theory with individual financial decision models using a system dynamics approach. The research uses vignette a fractional factorial studies method to calculate the score of personal bias factors. The mai
