Mitosis and meiosis of five Plantago species were analyzed. Plantago argyrea, P. patagonica and P. wrightiana contain 2n = 20 chromosomes and P. rhodosperma and P. virginica 2n = 24 chromosomes. Abstract Hitachi and Hitachi Metals have developed low thermal expansion Ni-base superalloy, Ni-20Cr-10Mo-1.2Al-1.6Ti alloy (USC141) for use as A-USC steam turbine material. The approximate 105 h creep rupture strength at 740° C is 100MPa, so USC141 can be expected to apply for blades and bolts. Now we have been studying to get better creep properties by microstructure controlling such as grain size or grain boundary morphology. Pueraria mirifica airy shaw and suvatabandhu, know locally as Kwao Keur, is a plant in family Leguminosae. In this study, effects of P.mirifica on hepatic cytochrome P450 (CYP), serum lipid profile and subchronic toxicity were investigated in male Wistar rats. Rats were randomly divided into four treatment groups as following: normal diet-fed group; normal diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group; high cholesterol diet-fed group; high cholesterol diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group. Highly asymmetric somatic hybrid plants were obtained by PEG/DMSO fusion of gamma irradiated (100, 250, 7500 and 1000 Gy) protoplasts of a (KmR-) interspecific hybrid Lycopersicon esculentum x L. pennellii (EP) with protoplasts of eggplant (E). Somatic hybrid calli were selected based on kanamycin resistance and verified by PCR of the NptII gene, RAPD's and Southern's using potato rDNA pTHG2 probes. Flow cytometry indicated all hybrid calli that did not regenerate shoots were 5-9n. Three asymmetric plants regenerated only from callus close to 4n and such calli oly occurred when EP received 100
