Change in natural conditions are caused by several things, one of which is the increase in amount of CO2 in atmosphere. The cause of increase in CO2 is due pollution so trees and forests begin to decrease in area. Plants are able to absorb carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis to reduce carbon dioxide from atmosphere. The way to reduce this impact is by planting plants and maintaining land use change. Vegetation absorbs CO2 is stored in plant body in the form of biomass in the plant body. Rapid expansion of grapevine plantings in many parts of the world has led to increased demand for desirable planting stocks. In countries that rely on importing new varieties and have strict quarantine rules, such as Australia, vines need to stay under quarantine for ≈2 years before they are released, at which time there is very limited wood available. Hence, rapid expansion of propagating stock after release is the key to multiplying up new varieties. A novel method, referred to as Semi-sterilized Tissue Culture (SSTC) using immature single-node cuttings, was established and evaluated as a wa

The author has carried out a comparative analysis of spruce stands productivity for different planting schemes based on imitation modeling. He shows that the process of the stand self-thinning depends both on the initial density of planting and on the trees relative position on the site, which ultimately determines the amount of a given diameter wood stock. It is determined the optimal forest planting schemes for spruce stands providing the maximum stock of small, medium and large wood.

Abstract Summer-sprouting in Easter lily (Lilium longiflorum) occurred more frequently in scale-propagated plantlets than in yearling planting stock. Cultivars without summer-sprouting in scale-propagated plantlets had no summer-sprouting in yearling planting stock. Cultivars having high percentages of summer-sprouting in scale-propagated plantlets also had high percentages of summer-sprouting in yearling planting stock.

Abstract Most economically important bananas and plantains are large triploid seedless herbs that must be propagated vegetatively by removing small side shoots or “suckers” from the parent plant or by planting seed pieces of larger corms. Consequently, multiplication of stock material is time consuming. Recently, the rapid production of young banana plantlets suitable for use as “seed” material has been described (1, 3). Vegetative shoot apices were isolated and multiplied using aseptic tissue culture techniques. Although these multiplication systems, once established, can produce thousands of

Longer shoot (6 cm and above the collar) and unpruned root portion should be retained to afforest the degraded hill lands.
