Plate marking as currently practiced limits plasma arc cutting machine duty cycle. This, in turn, constrains plate fabrication process lane throughput. A separate automatic plate marking station which will significantly increase plasma arc cutting capacities is defined. A 60 to 100 percent increase in plate fabrication process lane throughput is anticipated while simultaneously reducing unit direct labor.
