Abstract:
National arts and crafts are not only the skills of an individual nation but an ethnic phenomenon that has unique features and serves as a source of information on national history and culture. Decorative and applied art in Ukraine combines the traditions and techniques of manufacturing and decoration, which have been developed and passed down from generation to generation. It has a clear national identity and numerous regional differ¬ences in ornamental motifs, compositions and favourite colours. Therefore, the Ukrainian folk art has a significant potential and is a source of ideas in creating modern clothing as well as interior items. Embroidery as a way of creating ornamental motifs on a textile material using various techniques is a common process for decorating clothes and interiors for the Ukrainians. Today, ornamental compositions of embroidered folk textiles could be transmitted into modern clothes using various technologies. However, the use of a knitting machine allows creating a pattern during the item production. The ornament transformation into a pattern for knitting can be carried out with graphic software by creating a grid with a cell size similar to the loop size of a knitted structure for corresponding interlooping. A number of clothing and interior items with ethnic motifs was created using the capabilities of flat knitting machines within the masters programme “Knitting Technology and Design” at the Textile Technology and Design Department of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

Abstract:
Stage design is the design of decor, costumes, accessories, lights, effects and all other audio-visual environments for the enactment of a theatrical play on the stage. Stage design is the general name of the design of all counted areas. This art branch, which started in the Middle Ages in accordance with today's understanding as stage painting and stage decoration in the West, lived its brightest and most glorious period in the 19th century. The stage mechanics created by applying it to scenes that could be created in the 20th century, by inserting the visual illusion on purpose, cause the audience to see these false worlds with surprising and astonished glances. Stage decoration is a branch of art that incorporates all branches of plastic art, especially painting and architecture, but its function is to create spaces that will provide the necessary action on the stage, in accordance with the drama text written by the author. However, today, it continues to function with a new structuring like other developing and changing art branches. Now the stage designer must have a very good art background as well as being a good İnterior Architect. Their current and social cultural background, which is sensitive to the problems of the country and world societies he lives in, is an important factor in the emergence of a good stage design. It is no longer a stage decoration that is suitable for the dramatic text and it’s visually is in the foreground, but a stage design enriched and meaningful with the artistic interpretation of the artist and the expression of his feelings. In this article, the applicability of the interior architecture process and stage design process in the field of theater plays has been tried to be revealed.

Abstract:
An important artistic element or symbolic text of ancient Jewish cemeteries are the tombstones - matsevi. The most commonly used motifs in decorative decoration of Galician matsevahs are zoomorphic, ornithological and vegetative motifs, which are often used in all other forms of Jewish art. The image of subject motifs and larger objects is just as original as the decorative adornment of facades of matsevahs of Eastern Galicia XVI - the first third of the XX century. and deserves a separate thorough study. The presentation of these motifs on the matsevahs' facades gives the viewer enough visual information about a particular person, even without translating and deciphering the very text of the epitaph, which, in the vast majority of cases, correlates and significantly supplements, interprets, informs, extends and clarifies the symbols of the carving of the upper part of the matsevahs. Sometimes the symbolic image was unrelated to the text, it was only decorative and contained traditional Jewish characters or symbols. One should note the desire of the authors, stone-cutters, for originality, artistic individuality, recognition of a particular object as a characteristic feature, of the use of substantive motifs for the decoration of the matsevahs, as well as the significant impact of family traditions with the provision of a peculiar author's decision to build a composition or property of the client with appropriate simplification or the complication of the carved decoration and the refinement of the composition. Very few monuments of stone-making art of the 16th-17th centuries have remained intact until now, which makes it impossible to give a full description of the artistic peculiarities of the memorial plastics; and, the vast majority of the preserved monuments were erected over burials at the end of the 18th and 19th centuries. and preserved until the first third of the XX century. The article is based on materials of field studies by the author of ancient Jewish cemeteries within Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, in particular: Belza, Brody, Bolechova, Burshtyn, Busk, Dobromil, Drohobych, Zabolotova, Kosova, Kremenets, Kutov, Nikolaev, Leshnava, Stary Razdol, Skole, Snyatin, Solotvyn, Stanislavchik, Old Sambir, Ternopil, Turks, Shchyrets, Yabluniv, Yazlivets and others. In the article, individual examples of carved decor are studied, the features of compositional techniques and the specifics of their artistic and plastic expression on the facades of ancient matsevahs of the studied region are analyzed and described. Subject motifs like zoomorphic, ornithomorphic, and vegetative, formed on the basis of the texts of the Torah and the Talmud, biblical metaphors and allegories, which became the symbols of the Twelve tribes of Israel, the people and the land of Israel in the traditional Jewish art of Eastern Galicia from the XVIII - the first third of the XX century. are the dominant motives in stone carving and the matsevah's memorial plastics. The article deals with the most common substantive motifs found on preserved matsevahs of Eastern Galicia of the period under consideration. To systematize and describe the subject motifs are presented in alphabetical order in the following sequence: Building. Vase. Zban (jug) and tray (bowl) for washing hands of levites. Tools, objects and technical equipment. Interior. Chalice. Klepsidra. Book. Ship. Crown. Well. Lamp. Menorah. Subjects and objects of the second plan: Candle holder, candle, platform for Tora, Decalogue tablets. Treasure chest. Arrow. Urn. Cabinet. Poison. Further field investigations and thorough scientific research in accordance with the methodology of scientific study of Jewish cemeteries, which includes: architectural measurements, photo fixation, graphic documentation, writing, reading, decoding and elaboration of texts of epitaphs and documentation of information will help to discover, understand and popularize the traditional art of numerous Jewish communities, which were an integral part of the polyethnic Galician city of the studied period. After all, most of the monuments of stone masonry art are in an extremely poor condition, some of them are on the verge of extinction and require a number of urgent professional measures for their further preservation and research

Abstract:
In an environmentally polluted environment, woven curtain fabrics that collect dust and pollen play an important health-protective role in interior decoration. However, devices or evaluation factors for measuring the dust adsorption ability of interior products have not been developed. To resolve this deficiency, we developed an apparatus that directly measures the dust adsorption and devised two test parameters (dust interrupting capability and fine dust adsorption capacity) for quantifying the dust adsorption. We also investigated the physical properties affecting the dust adsorption ability of fabrics with different denier weaves of air-textured yarns and draw-textured yarns, which adsorb dust in their fluffs and crimps, respectively. The air permeability and weight of the fabrics were strongly correlated with fine dust interrupting capability. The air permeability, dust adsorption, and interruption capability of the air-textured yarns largely depended on the loops formed by the overfeed rate in the weft direction. The strong sound-absorbing performance of the samples (especially at higher frequencies) was also obtained by loops, fluffs, and crimps of air-textured yarns and draw-textured yarns of fabrics. The best sound-absorbing performance was exhibited by S20, made from 760 D with many loops on the yarn surface.

Abstract:
The article highlights the results of the first round of conservation works to return the lost image of the assembly hall (meeting hall of the great senate) – the main building of the oldest building of the university. The purpose of the works is to create the methodology basis to restore the wall painting and sculpture decoration of the hall, to return it to its original authentic appearance from 1880-1884. The decoration of the hall was realized in 1884 by the artist and architect Ivan Dolynskyi, according to the idea of the first rector, architect Julian Zahariewicz. However, the original artistic decoration of the assembly hall was lost in the subsequent periods after the First World War. The walls of the hall and decorative plastic were covered with new paint layers of a nondecorative nature. The first test studies in 2015 showed the possibility of removing layers and opening the original wall painting decoration. They also testified to the need for conservation and restoration works of the authentic wall painting decoration, which in some places had cracks, local losses, and unsatisfactory technical conditions (flaking from plaster). Complex scientific architectural and conservation studies of the interior of the assembly hall were carried out, including the performance of all necessary types of research – from archival searches to soundings in paint coatings and stucco, and laboratory analyzes of materials. Research has revealed the nature of layering and the different states of preservation of the authentic painting layer in all parts of the hall, at different levels of the walls and decor. As a result of research, it was established the possibility of cleaning all walls, decorative stucco, and sculptures by mechanical means. Due to the large volume, it was recommended to divide the cleaning and conservation works into several stages. According to the concept of the discussed and approved project, the following were recommended as the main methods and stages of restoration works: – mechanical cleaning of the entire wall plane; removal of paint coatings to the layer of authentic marbling; also removing putty from cracks and gaps in the plaster; – delicate wiping of the wall surface with distilled water to remove surface contamination; – injection of deep cracks with liquid restorative putty mass; – “bringing” plaster in places of losses, falls and chips, followed by its alignment in the plane of the wall and its priming; – strengthening of the places of the base where there are losses, shedding of the wall painting by the method of its structural strengthening with the help of impregnation with a special priming solution; – restoration reproduction and toning of the wall painting (exclusively within the limits of losses); – after the completion of the reproduction of the wall painting-marbling (when the toning has completely dried), applying a restoration wax-resin mastic to the entire surface of the wall; giving a gloss after the mastic has completely dried; if necessary, mastic can be re-applied on new layers of wall painting. In the article, we reveal the main results of the research work, as well as highlight the key positions of the conservation task and the conceptual project of conservation, and recommendations for planning executive works. We also reveal the process of implementation of conservation works at their first stage - in 2015-2016. The works were carried out by the restoration group of the Department of Architecture and Conservation with the involvement of students.

Abstract:
Corduroy fabrics have been widely used in interior decoration currently. This work mainly investigated the acoustical properties of corduroy fabrics in relation to air permeability and airflow resistance. Five specimens with similar surface density and different wale width are used. The results indicated that corduroy fabrics with thicker wale width exhibited higher air permeability and lower airflow resistance. Furthermore, the increased width of wale is beneficial to improve the acoustic absorption of corduroy fabric. Two models based on air permeability and airflow resistance are taken to characterize the acoustical behavior. It has been indicated that Pieren model could well predict the acoustic absorption coefficient of corduroy fabric, and the difference of acoustic absorption is due to the varied air permeability and airflow resistance resulting from the different wale width.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on two stages in the development of post-war production interior porcelain. The first stage is the completion of the development in the decorative and industrial arts of the grand style. The second stage is the development of modern style, which is reflected in the works of mass porcelain. The research refers to the Leningrad Factory of Porcelain and the production of the enterprise from 1956–1966. The products of the plant have not been studied sufficiently so far. However, the factory was one of the many Soviet porcelain enterprises that was involved in the creation of a new living environment. Two stages in the development of industrial art related to the organisation of the residential interior were reflected in the company’s products, i.e. works of small porcelain plastics, utilitarian porcelain, i.e. vases, boxes, bottles, night lamps, etc. The first stage is filled with works of small plastic arts (second half of the 1950s). The second stage is associated with the interior, in which porcelain goods played the role of accents in the interior, emphasising empty space (first half of the 1960s). The author of the article carries out analysis of caskets and vials of the enterprise (40 Years of October caskets, casket with a lion, Matryoshka casket, Summer Garden, a series of bottles and caskets), vases and pots (Lines planters, decorative vases, damask, and stacks), lamps (Chinese Pagoda night light, Golden Cockerel night light). Based on the interpretation of the value of the enterprise in the formation of the interior, the value of products in the processes of transition from the grand style to the modern style, a conclusion is drawn about the importance of the plant in the formation of the living environment. The massive nature of the works of the plant influenced the fact that the current stylistic trends were available to a vast number of Soviet citizens, who perceived new aesthetic norms.

Abstract:
In the two decades since the establishment of the people’s Republic of China, the challenges facing porcelain production have changed significantly. Porcelain production is one of the most important and oldest traditions in China. In the 1950s, porcelain craftsmen became involved in the creation of new forms of interior plastics. Many of the pieces they created are now part of museum collections and represent the history of the development of Chinese interior porcelain. Using the example of three museums and three reference monuments, the article examines the key trends in the development of porcelain art and stylistic changes that occurred during this period. The following museums have been selected as examples to showcase the specifics of Chinese porcelain art from this period: the China Ceramic and Porcelain Museum located in Jingdezhen City, which is the country’s first major art museum specializing in ceramics; the Chinese Fine Arts Museum in Beijing, which specializes in collecting, researching and displaying works of Chinese artists of modern and contemporary eras; and the Guangdong Folk Art Museum, which specializes in collecting, researching and displaying Chinese folk art. All of these museums are engaged in collecting porcelain, including interior porcelain plastics from the mid-20th century. In the collections of the aforementioned museums, three works were selected for analysis. These are three paired compositions created in the second half of the 1950s: the sculpture “An Old Man and a Child with a Peach” by Zeng Longsheng, “Good Aunt from the Commune” by Zhou Guozhen and “Fifteen coins. The rat case” by Lin Hongxi. These porcelain compositions reveal close relations with Chinese national culture and not only reflect various scenes, but are also aimed at expanding the role of porcelain in decorating residential interiors.

Climate change is becoming one of the biggest environmental challenges in the 21st century. New-energy vehicle produce less greenhouse gases as compared to the traditional vehicles with internal combustion engines. New energy vehicles have great potential to successfully address the issue of climate change. Additionally, new energy materials can also be used in automotive lightweight technology. This paper discussed the currently lightweight materials including high-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA), carbon fiber composite material, and modified plastics. According to the discussion in this paper, high-strength low-alloy steel can be used in automotive safety parts, chassis, and body. Carbon fiber composite materials can be used in car bodies, chassis, roofs, doors, head covers, hoods, rear wings, center consoles, trim strips, drive shafts, leaf springs, frames, brake pads, interior and exterior accessories. Modified plastics can be mainly used in exterior decorative parts, interior decorative parts, functional parts, and structural parts. However, three are still many drawbacks of application of new energy materials in new-energy vehicle. The current new energy materials used in automotive lightweight technology are usually costly and time-consuming. Moreover, the characteristics of the new energy materials are still not clear. It could have a negative impact on the environment. Before this technology can be widely used in new-energy vehicles, more research is needed regarding the new energy materials.

Abstract:
During twentieth century monumental painting has undergone numerous changes in iconography, stylistics and figurative-plastic language itself. An important milestone was the turn of the '50–'60s. When the artists resorted to active decorative searches and the ways of plane expression. In the 1930–50's, socialist realism became the main pointer for the monumental artist, which was the dominant artistic method at that time. For the most effective use of this method, the artists have been oriented on the realistic and academic principles, filling classical forms with Soviet meaning. Panels become burdensome and suffocated by architectural decoration, the expressiveness of the monumental painting was lost. However, at the end of the '50s monumental painting began to move away from realistic tendencies. A search of new ways of expressions have been proceeded. A search of new ways of expressions proceeded. The impetus for rethinking styling was widely known resolution of November 4, 1955 "About the elimination of redundancies in design and construction. "The document became the peculiar starting point in Soviet architecture as well as monumental painting.According to this resolution aesthetical side had to be solved by organically linking the architectural form to the purpose of the building and established proportion. The task of architects was to work on the creation of standard buildings in simple economic forms. Thus, new opportunities for development in the monumental painting appear. With the formation of new architecture, murals and mosaics are gaining ground for experiments both with materials and figurative-plastic solutions. At the turn of the 60's significant projects were created in Kyiv, among them Kiev River Station (1961), Kiev Bus Station (1961), Shulyavska Subway Station (1963), Metro Restaurant (1963), interior design at The Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine (1962), exteriors of the Institute of Plant Protection of the UAAS (1962).

Abstract:
Abstract. Organophosphate esters (OPEs) are contaminants of emerging concern, and studies have concluded that urban areas are a significant source of OPEs. Samples were collected from six ground-based sites located in Chengdu, a typical rapidly developing metropolitan area in Southwest China, and were analyzed for seven OPEs in atmospheric PM2.5 (Σ7 OPEs). The concentrations of Σ7 OPEs in PM2.5 ranged from 5.83 to 6.91 ng m−3, with a mean of 6.6 ± 3.3 ng m−3, and the primary pollutants were tris-(2-butoxyethyl) phosphate (TBEP), tri-n-butyl phosphate (TnBP), tris-(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) and tris-(2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate (TCPP), which together made up more than 80 % of the Σ7 OPEs. The concentrations of Σ7 OPEs were higher in autumn and winter than in summer. Nonparametric tests showed that there was no significant difference in Σ7 OPE concentrations among the six sampling sites, but the occurrence of unexpectedly high levels of individual OPEs at different sites in autumn might indicate noteworthy emissions. A very strong correlation (R2 = 0.98, p < 0.01) between the OPEs in soil and in PM2.5 was observed. Backward trajectory analysis indicated that the OPEs in PM2.5 were mainly affected by local sources. Principal component analysis (PCA) revealed that the OPEs in PM2.5 were largely sourced from the plastics industry, interior decoration and traffic emission (34.5 %) and the chemical, mechanical and electrical industries (27.8 %), while the positive matrix factorization (PMF) model revealed that the main sources were the plastics industry and indoor source emissions, the food and cosmetics industry and industrial emissions. In contrast to coastal cities, sustained and stable high local emissions in the studied inland city were identified, which is particularly noteworthy. Chlorinated phosphates, especially TCPP and TCEP, had a high content, and their usage and source emissions should be controlled.

The main goal of this study is to investigate the formability of AA3105/LDPE/AA3105 sandwich composite in detail, which would exhibit a higher formability compared to AA3105 due to its higher strain rate sensitivity and strain hardening exponent. This is of decisive importance for the manufacturing process. The Nakajima tests are performed to experimentally determine the forming limit curves (FLCs) using in situ optical technique digital image correlation. Furthermore, numerical simulations of Nakajima tests are conducted using a modified Gurson–Tvergaard–Needleman damage model to compare the numerically and experimentally determined FLCs. The results show that the sandwich composite underwent inhomogeneous deformation during the Nakajima test, and that the FLC has no typical patterns exhibited by metal sheets. The FLCs predicted by the numerical model used in this study exhibit a very good correlation with the FLCs determined experimentally. The results of the present study provide new insights into the analysis and understanding of the deformation behavior of the sandwich composite sheet that may undergo complex stress and strain states.

Abstract:
Statement of the problem. The article examines the problem of cold pressing, which is the most important technological component in the production of sheet composite, which is widely studied in the repair and construction works in the interior decoration of residential and industrial premises. The solution to this problem is carried out on the basis of a physical and mathematical model under the assumption that the rheological properties of the deformable medium correspond to the principles of ideal plasticity and a flat deformable state. Within the framework of the problem, in two dimensions of quasistatic compression between absolutely rigid parallel-approaching plates of a thin ideally plastic layer, the stress-strain state of a composite medium is studied. It is believed that in the absence of volumetric loads, the condition of incompressibility of the medium and the associated flow law is fulfilled. Based on the hypothesis of the linear distribution of tangential stresses over the thickness of the deformable layer, analytical expressions for the statistical and kinematic characteristics of the deformation are obtained, and the condition at the edges of the rough plates makes it possible to determine the coefficient of slip thorns, which makes it possible to control the pressing process. Results and conclusions. It was established that the components of the strain rate are directly proportional to the plate approach speed, and the normal stresses acting in the pressing direction are independent of the loading speed, decreasing in magnitude from the center to the periphery. Keywords: yield strength, pressing, plasticity condition, mathematical model.

Abstract:
The use of ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and expanded graphite (EG) as a flame retardant for polymer generally requires a relatively high amount of addition to achieve a flame-retardant effect, and is liable to cause a decrease in strength of the material. Therefore, in this study waste diatomite was used as an eco-friendly flame-retardant for high density polyethylene (HDPE) to reduce the amount of APP and EG and can reach the flame-retardant level. Moreover, the waste diatomite was heat treatment and surface modified by silane coupling agent to improve its compatibility with HDPE. The results show that the tensile strength of the HDPE drops sharply after the addition of the APP and EG. However, replace some of the APP and EG by the modified diatomite can slow down the decline and maintain the basic physical properties of the material. The impact strength of HDPE was also decreased by the addition of APP, EG and untreated diatomite. However, the impact strength of HDPE was increased after adding the surface modified diatomite. It can be seen from the experimental results that the addition of the waste diatomite modified by the silane coupling agent can reduce the usage of the flame retardant such as APP and EG, and increase the strength by increasing the compatibility between the plastic and the inorganic material. Moreover, this eco-friendly formulation can reach the UL-94 HB level, and it can be applied to interior decoration or as building materials in the future. Thus, it can not only recycle the wastes, but also reduce the threat caused by fire.

Abstract:
With the further development of the social economy, people pay more attention to spiritual and cultural needs. As the main place of people’s daily life, the family is very important to the creation of its cultural atmosphere. In fact, China has fully entered the era of interior decoration, and people are paying more and more attention to decorative effects and the comfort and individual characteristics of decoration. Therefore, it is of practical significance to develop the application of decorative art in interior space design. However, the transfer effect of current interior decoration art design tends to be artistic, which leads to image distortion, and image content transfer errors are easy to occur in the process of transfer. The application of image style transfer in interior decoration art can effectively solve such problems. This paper analyzes the basic theory of image style transfer through image style transfer technology, Gram matrix, and Poisson image editing technology and designs images from several aspects such as image segmentation, content loss, enhanced style loss, and Poisson image editing constrained image spatial gradient. The application process of style transfer in interior decoration art realizes the application of image style transfer in interior decoration art. The experimental results show that the application of image style transmission in interior decoration art design can effectively avoid the contents of the interior decoration errors and distortions and has a good style transfer effect.

Decoration elements are the most calculated elements in interior design to provide aesthetic value to a space. While the reality is that there are still many interior interior designers who have not been able to choose and quarter the right decoration elements based on the concept of space and the function of space. For this reason, it is necessary to study the decoration elements in interior design in accordance with the concept, function, and character of the desired space. Kamasan puppet painting is one of the traditional arts that has a strong and unique philosophy. The Kamasan puppet painting that symbolizes Dewi Semara Ratih pelambang beauty of true love is very suitable to be implemented in the interior of the master bedroom. Kamasan's puppet painting that tells the story of Prabu Kresna as Arjuna's coachman, during the Kurusetra Mahabharat war, is very suitable to be implemented in the interiors of schools, campuses, offices, libraries, and study rooms in residential buildings. Kamasan Dewi Saraswati's puppet painting is very suitable to be implemented in the interior of schools, campuses, offices, libraries and spaces used for work that are related to education. It is recommended for interior designers to make Kamasan puppet painting as an alternative as an element of decoration in the designed interior. In addition to giving a unique feel to the interior that is designed, it is also able to serve as a stakeholder to preserve traditional Balinese art.

Abstract:
With the rapid development of economic and social productivity, the living standards of our people have been continuously improved. As human society enters industrialization and urbanization, in order to meet the increasing needs of life, people have higher and higher requirements for the environmental quality of their lives. People spend nearly 90% of their time indoors. Therefore, the environmental quality of indoor spaces has become an issue that cannot be ignored. The interior space environment of the building is closely related to everyone’s life. However, when people decorate their rooms luxuriously and warmly, the subsequent interior decoration sequelae are also seriously affecting people’s health. The pollution caused by indoor decoration is serious, whether it is the use of decoration materials or improper indoor design that will cause indoor air pollution. Based on building materials and interior design, this paper systematically analyzes the pollutants in the fully decorated interior space and proposes that from the perspective of low-carbon economy, interior space design should be based on the ecological environment, and the focus of the design is on the rational use of nature. Resources and decoration methods should start from the application of natural colors and natural materials and organically combine green materials and green decoration designs to create a more comfortable, healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly indoor space environment.

Abstract:
Color is an integral part of our life, as much as this colorful world of ours is beautiful, as much as it is a world of these colors. In childhood, we are taught only the names of three primary colors: yellow, blue and red, but the truth is, we cannot limit colors to any number. There is no count of colors, because there are innumerable colors in this world. The reason for this is that by combining any two colors, we can create a third color and by altering the amount of those two colors we can create many light and dark colors. In this way, we can create innumerable colors from different cohesion (Buipdanjapavade). Color is the peak of beauty, and beauty is directly related to the heart. These colors are used in different forms of art and are used in different forms of art on an ornamental, artistic and symbolic basis. Like "Baiga women tattoo on their body, which itself is a modified structure consisting of many signs". 2 It is mainly found in the use of green color, which does not just enhance the beauty of the body, but it has all kinds of colors in it. There is also a belief in Baigao that the ability to resist from enemies also increases, as they increase the power of hands and feet. Tattooing is considered to be the jewel of the tribals, especially women, in their body, embellishes a variety of shapes. These figures have their own religious, spiritual, cultural and social importance.
