The occurrence of spontaneous nonspecific pneumothorax is associated with degenerative fibrous changes in the interstitial tissue, mainly in the cortical parts of the lung, leading to a violation of the elasticity of the lung tissue with the formation of blisters. The rupture of such a bubble is the cause of spontaneous pneumothorax. The basis for the development of fibrous changes is a violation of the blood supply to the cortical parts of the lung.
