The objects of research were the groves of the Central Chernozem and plus trees selected in them. Oakwood in the re-gion has long been intensively exploited, their area reduced by 2-3 times, and the gene pool is severely malnourished. Restor-ing oak occurs very difficult with large omissions and economic costs. The main reason is the lack or total absence of acorns high quality selection. Moreover, permanent forest seed plots which were planted by the plus stand offspring, produce seeds of the required breeding category. Trees with a good framework of branches can support heavy crops without limb breakage and will help to bring the young tree into production at an early age. Selection and arrangement of these branches determines the type of development and growth in later years. The goal of pruning and training is to balance vegetative and fruiting wood growth.

Abstract:
Since 1990s, as a result of unprecedented drought and warm winters, mountain pine beetles have devastated mature pine trees in the forests of western North America from Mexico to Canada. Especially, in the State of Wyoming, there are more than 1 million acres of dead forest now. These beetle killed trees are a source of wildfire and if left unharvested will decay and release carbon back to the atmosphere. Fast pyrolysis is a promising method to transfer the beetle killed pine trees into bio-oils. In the present study, an unsteady state mathematical model is developed to simulate the fast pyrol

Hydrogen is a clean fuel that can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as its oxidation does not emit carbon dioxide (a primary greenhouse gas). Generation of hydrogen has attracted much recent worldwide attention. A promising method to generate hydrogen is to use heat from nuclear power plants. The advantages of using nuclear heat are capabilities of large-scale generation of hydrogen and zero greenhouse gas emissions. Nuclear energy is expected to have an important role for hydrogen generation in the future. In this paper, reliability and probabilistic safety assessments of a conceptual

The article is devoted to the consideration of the issue of studying the peculiarities of growth, productivity of pine plantations of Khrenovsky forest, and the evaluation of artificial pine plantations. Khrenovskoy Forest is a well-known forestry and biological monument of nature, which is located in the Bobrovsky district of the Voronezh region. Here, in the form of an island massif with an area of about 40 thousand hectares, artificial and natural stands of scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) grow compactly on the sands and sandy loams on the territory of three local forestry districts (Khreno

The article considers the issues of variability of the leaf plate of semi-siberian offspring of plus-sized oak trees in the conditions of the Kirsanovsky forestry of the Tambov region. As part of the research, 18 indicators were selected that allow a comprehensive assessment of the relationship both within and between populations. The assessment of the level of variability showed that the populations are quite close in terms of intrapopulation variability, however, a comprehensive assessment of the studied signs showed an increased level of variability in family No. 4. It was noted that the wi

Modern climate changes are exacerbating drought, seriously threatening plants and their productivity. Plants can activate defense mechanisms, including gene regulation, to counteract this stress. The aim of the study was to study the expression of the DREB gene in oak seedlings during drought to identify the molecular mechanisms of plant adaptation to stressful conditions. To evaluate the expression among the F2 families of the progeny of plus-sized oak trees, the following stages were carried out: setting up a greenhouse experiment, collecting biomaterials, isolating RNA, conducting reverse t
