Abstract:

Současné české pohřební obřady výrazným způsobem navazují na dobu vlády komunistického režimu, během kterého se celkem úspěšně podařilo nahradit velkou část náboženských pohřbů pohřby sekulárními. Na pozadí tohoto postupu studie popisuje a analyzuje současnou pohřební praxi, přičemž vychází ze dvou výzkumů, které se vzájemně doplňují. V menneferské nekropoli byly v minulosti nalezeny čtyři zajímavé vápencové pohřební deskové stély, dosud neuveřejněné a tudíž neznámé. Dvě z nich objevil v roce 1966 v oblasti západně od Neferovy hrobky, poblíž Venisovy vzestupné cesty v Sakkáře, Ahmad Músá (reg. č. 16 204 a, 16 204 b: obr. 1–4). Třetí nalezl v roce 1994 na západním okraji současného muslimského hřbitova v Abúsíru Muhammad M. Júsuf se svými kolegy (reg. č. 19156: obr. 5, 6). Abstract:

Od počátku 20. století převládá v západní společnosti spíše rezervovaný přístup ke smrti a posledním věcem člověka obecně, někteří autoři mluví přímo o tabuizaci smrti. K tomuto stavu přispívají jak medikalizace smrti, individualizace a sekularizace společnosti, tak i konzervativnost oblasti pohřebnictví. Pohřební obřad již není vnímán jako důležitý přechodový a odlučovací rituál a často bývá zcela eliminován. Publikace vešebtu (20,4x5,3x3,5 cm) staroegyptského kresliče Parahotepa (obr. 1), známého a váženého člena privilegované komunity kvalifikovaných řemeslníků a umělců v Dér el-Medíně, kteří tesali a zdobili skalní hrobky faraonů a členů jejich rodin v Údolí králů a Údolí královen v období Nové říše (cca 1545-1081 př.n.l.). Parahotepův vešebt z malované pálené hlíny, který byl součástí jeho pohřební výbavy, umožňuje identifikovat zaznamenaný titul a jméno.
