Department of Chemistry, University of Jodhpur, Jodhpur-342 003 Complexation of FeIII-<em>N,N&#39;</em>-dihydroxyethylglyeine has been studied employing the techniques of de polarography, cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse polarography. The method involved the conversion of total iron into ferric form and subsequent com&shy;plexation with <em>N,N&#39;</em>-dihydroxyethylglycine in alkaline medium. Conditions were standardised in which ferric iron gave a distinct d.p. polarographic peak. Estimation of iron in low concentration has been made possible by the dpp technique.

These results show that the tin compounds give characteristic differential pulse polarographic peaks in walpole buffer and exist in stannous form. The colorimetric studies were also performed for the estimation of solubility of tin In walpole buffer.

Abstract A method is described which uses the direct current (dc) polarographic behavior of cimetidine in a strong acid solution to determine this compound. The diffusional characteristics of the reduction wave of cimetidine in 1M HC1 (about —0.8 V vs SCE) are shown, and their analytical usefulness was studied. This polarographic method was used to determine cimetidine in standard solutions ranging from 4 to 80 |xg/ mL with a coefficient of variation of 1.3%, and was further applied to the determination of cimetidine in tablets. The results obtained by the dc polarographic method agree with th

Polymethyl methacrylate is the most commonly used contact lens material due to its excellent optical properties. However the presence of residual monomer in the structure alters its transparency as well as its biocompatibility, thus, there is a need to detect any remaining methyl methacrylate. Raman spectroscopy is a rapid, sensitive, and non destructive method as compared to other spectroscopic, chromatographic or polarographic methods. In this study, the spectra of some lens materials (prepared from methyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate, hexamethyl disiloxane and polypropylene gl

Abstract:
The inverse method, based on a numerical sequential estimation, has been applied for the determination of the wall shear stress of a liquid single phase flow in a sliding rheometer using multi-segment probe. This method requires the inversion of the convection diffusion equation in order to apply it to instantaneous mass transfer measurements. Polarography technique, known as the limiting diffusion current method, has been used. This requires the use of Electro-Diffusion ED probe which allows the determination of the local mass transfer rate for known flow kinematics. In addition, two-segment
