AbstractProcess of ready mixed concrete (RMC) delivery is an example of multi-objective optimization due to the conflicting objectives of the parties involved. In order to face this problem, discrete event simulation model of the delivery process is created with input parameters based on the surveyed data of real processes. The model is simulated with different vehicle dispatching policies and the results are analysed focusing on performance indicators. Further, both cloud computing and desktop grids are meant to optimize limited resources and at the same time to decrease the expected latency for users.
