Abstract:
Le travail de recherche au cours des trois années de doctorat en cotutelle entre l'Université de Reims-Champagne Ardenne et l'Université de Florence m'a permis de comprendre et d'encadrer les principales problématiques soulevées par l'Onomasticon de Julius Pollux (IIème siècle apr. J.-C.) et d'entreprendre l'étude des aspects qui n'ont jamais été spécifiquement abordés jusqu'à aujourd'hui.La thèse est structurée en quatre chapitres et complétée par deux appendices.La première traduction en langue moderne et le commentaire des articles juridiques contenus dans le VIIIème livre constituent la section principale de la thèse: ils sont insérés dans le IVème chapitre. La recherche s'est concentrée également sur les problèmes relatifs à la figure de l'auteur et le contexte historique dans lequel il a travaillé (Ier chapitre), ainsi qu'à la transmission du texte dans une version interpolée et abrégée (IIème chapitre), à sa structure et à sa constitution (IIIème chapitre). J'ai ensuite examiné une scholie qui semble témoigner l'existence d'un épitomé de l'épitomé lié à une branche particulière de la tradition manuscrite (Ier appendice) et, enfin, j'ai réalisé une traduction en italien, la première en langue moderne, des lettres dédicatoires à l'empereur Commode qui ouvrent chacun des dix livres du lexique (IIème appendice).Le Ier chapitre porte sur une présentation des toutes les attestations relatives à l'auteur et sur une discussion de la datation de son activité et de son ouvrage par rapport aux sources postérieures et aux références offertes par le lexique lui-même: il porte aussi sur le contexte historique dans lequel est né l'Onomasticon.Dans le IIème chapitre, je présente la question de l'épitomé de l'Onomasticon et je décris les traces d'abrégé qu'on peut relever dans la tradition manuscrite et dans la transmission du VIIIème livre. La deuxième partie du chapitre est consacrée à la question de l'épitomé du VIIIème livre, c'est-à-dire à la description des manuscrits qui transmettent cette partie de l'Onomasticon qui, comme les autres, a été l'objet d'abréviations.Dans le IIIème chapitre, je propose une description schématique des dix livres de l'Onomasticon et de ses structures, qui dérive de la lecture complète du lexique que j'ai menée à bien afin de comprendre la méthode de travail de Pollux, ses intérêts et sa culture historique, c'est-à-dire les sources qu'il a utilisées et comment il s'en est servi. Il s'agit d'une brève analyse de chaque livre, avec une attention particulière portée aux sujets principaux et au nombre des sources classiques citées dans le texte, car les premières sections susceptibles d'être éliminées par un épitomateur sont de façon récurrente les répertoires de sources. Au cours de l'analyse des dix livres, je mets donc en évidence les confusions et les incohérences qui font souvent partie du texte.En ce qui concerne l'étude des articles juridiques contenus dans le VIIIème livre, j'ai réalisé la traduction en italien, ainsi qu'un commentaire historique et philologique, de la moitié des 157 paragraphes du livre environ.J'ai choisi de traduire et de commenter les entrées qui semblent contribuer à améliorer les connaissances qui viennent d'autres sources et qui concernent le procès, mais aussi l'organisation constitutionnelle et politique de l'Athènes de l'époque classique. Je commente aussi les articles qui apportent des éléments en contraste avec les témoignages en notre possession et qui sont motif de discussion entre les historiens qui s'occupent de droit attique. De toute façon, il y a aussi, dans le commentaire, des traductions, des références et des notes qui concernent d'autres entrées du livre et les articles juridiques qu'on trouve dans des sections différentes du lexique (comme dans le VIème livre). En revanche, je me limite à énumérer les sources bibliographiques les plus pertinentes des problèmes déjà connus et largement discutés par les modernes<br>The research work during a three-year PhD jointly supervised by the University of Reims-Champagne-Ardenne and the University of Florence has allowed me to understand and frame the main issues raised by the Onomasticon by Julius Pollux (2nd century A.D.) and to undertake the study of aspects that have not been specifically addressed until now.The thesis is structured in four chapters and supplemented by two appendices.The first modern language translation and commentary of legal terms contained in the eighth book is the main section of the thesis: they are part of the fourth chapter. My research also focused on issues related to the figure of the author and the historical context in which he worked (first chapter), the transmission of the text in an interpolated version and abridged (second chapter), its structure and its constitution (third chapter). Finally, I considered a scholium which seems to prove the existence of an epitome of the epitome tied to a particular branch of the manuscript tradition (appendix I) and I made an Italian translation (the first modern language translation) of the letters to the Emperor Commodus which open each of the ten books of the lexicon (appendix II).In particular, the first chapter focuses on the sources relating to the author and on the dating of its activity: the chapter concerns also the historical context in which the Onomasticon was written.In the second chapter, I present the question of the epitome of Onomasticon and I describe its traces in the manuscript tradition and in the transmission of the eighth book. The second part of the chapter is devoted to the question of the epitome of the eighth book, that, like the others, has been the subject of abbreviations.In the third chapter, I propose a schematic description of the ten books' structure, which derives from a thorough reading of the lexicon. The aim is to understand the working method of Pollux, its interests and its historic culture.In the fourth chapter, I realized the Italian translation and an historical and philological commentary of half of the 157 paragraphs of the book. I chose to translate and comment the lemmata that appear to contribute to improve the knowledge about the Athenian constitutional and political system of the classical period. I also commented terms that provide elements in contrast with our sources and which are grounds for discussion among modern scholars. There are also translations, references and notes about legal terms found in different books (as in the sixth book). I limit myself to list the most relevant bibliographic sources about questions that are widely discussed by modern scholars

Šiame darbe buvo palygintos tarpusavyje įvairių spektrinių ir šviesio klasių žvaigždžių energijos kreivės, suskaičiuotos iš žvaigždžių atmosferų modelių (Pollux žvaigždžių spektrų duomenų bazė), su stebėtomis žvaigždžių energijos kreivėmis (Straižys (1996), Straižys ir Sviderskienė (1972) ). Buvo patikrintas modelių energijos kreivių atitikimas realių žvaigždžių energijos pasiskirstymui spektre. Atlikti stebėjimai ir skaičiavimai UBVRI ir 2MASS fotometrinėse sistemose. Atidėtos spalvos rodiklių U-B, B-V, V- I ir V- R priklausomybės nuo efektinių temperatūrų, kurios paimtos iš 14 -15, 22- 24 lentelių (Straižys, 1992, 248-249 psl., 310-312 psl.) Atlikus darbo analizę galima padaryti tokias išvadas: 1.Energijos kreivių palyginimai parodė, kad atmosferų modeliai atitinka realių žvaigždžių energijos pasiskirstymą spektre ne visų spektrinių ir šviesio klasių žvaigždėms. Iš modeliuotų ir stebėtų energijos kreivių palyginimų matyti, kad nykštukių teorinės energijos kreivės geriau sutampa su stebėtomis energijos kreivėmis negu milžinių, submilžinių ir supermilžinių. 2. Spalvos rodiklių skirtumai yra didesni III, IV ir I šviesio klasės žvaigždėms. Galimos skirtumų priežastys yra: (a) Pollux bazės kreivių astrofizikiniai parametrai Tef ir log g yra artimi realių žvaigždžių Tef ir log g, bet tiksliai nesutampa su realių žvaigždžių astrofizikiniais parametrais. [toliau žr. visą tekstą]<br>The flux distribution curves of synthetic spectra for the Pollux Database of Stellar Spectra are compared with observed flux distribution curves of stars of various spectral and luminosity classes and solar metallicities. The observed flux distributions were taken from Straižys and Sviderskienė (1972) modified by Straižys (1996). The Pollux spectra were binned into 5nm intervals. Only the wavelength range from 300 nm to 900nm was considered. Using the spectral analysis tool VOSpec, the synthetic color indices for the UBVRI and 2MASS photometric systems were calculated. The Pollux flux distribution curves and the response curves of the appropriate photometric systems were used. The synthetic color indices were compared with the observed mean intrinsic color indices. The analysis of information shows that the synthetic spectra from the Pollux database give quite good approximation to investigated real stars of luminosity class V. The stars of luminosity classes III, IV and I show larger differences between the Pollux and the observed flux distribution curves. The differences between the synthetic color indices, calculated from Pollux flux distribution curves using the VoSpec tool, and the mean observed color indices are smaller for stars of luminosity class V. The larger differences were found for the investigated stars of luminosity classes III, IV and I. Abstract:
<p>We present the noncommutative version of the Polly Cracker cryptosystem, which is more promising than the commutative version. This is partly because many of the ideals in a free (noncommutative) algebra have an infinite Gröbner basis, which can be used as the public key in the cryptosystem. We start with a short brief of the commutative case which ends with the conclusion that the existence of "intelligent" linear algebra attacks ensures that such cryptosystems are left insecure. Further, we see that it is hard to prove that noncommutative ideals have an infinite reduced Gröbner basis for all admissible orders. Nevertheless, in chapter 4 we consider some ideals for which it seems infeasible to realize a finite Gröbner basis. These are considered further in a cryptographic setting, and there will be shown that one class of ideals seems more promising than the others with respect to encountering attacks on the cryptosystem. In fact, at the end of this thesis we are proposing a way of constructing a cryptosystem based on this class of ideals, such that any linear algebra attack will not be successful. However, many of the results are on experimental level, so there remains a serious amount of research in order to conclude that we have found a secure cryptosystem.</p>

Abstract:
We develop a public key cryptosystem whose security is based on the intractability of the ideal membership problem for a noncommutative algebra over a finite field. We show that this system, which is the noncommutative analogue of the Polly Cracker cryptosystem, is more secure than the commutative version. This is due to the fact that there are a number of ideals of noncommutative algebras (over finite fields) that have infinite reduced Groebner bases, and can be used to generate a public key. We present classes of such ideals and prove that they do not have a finite Groebner basis under any admissible order. We also examine various techniques to realize finite Groebner bases, in order to determine whether these ideals can be used effectively in the design of a public key cryptosystem. </p> We then show how some of these classes of ideals, which have infinite reduced Groebner bases, can be used to design a public key cryptosystem. We also study various techniques of encryption. Finally, we study techniques of cryptanalysis that may be used to attack the cryptosystems that we present. We show how poorly constructed public keys can in fact, reveal the private key, and discuss techniques to design public keys that adequately conceal the private key. We also show how linear algebra can be used in ciphertext attacks and present a technique to overcome such attacks. This is different from the commutative version of the Polly Cracker cryptosystem, which is believed to be susceptible to "intelligent" linear algebra attacks.<br>Ph. D.

The recent political and fiscal crises in Kyrgyzstan offer a good opportunity to rethink the objectives and the direction of tax reform. The tax system of the Kyrgyz Republic has changed substantially since 1991 including a shift of the tax structure towards indirect taxation, reduction in a number of taxes, and drastic decrease in tax rates. The thesis aims to identify and describe the main factors influencing tax reform in Kyrgyzstan during the first decades of transition to a market economy using important theoretical model of public management reform. So, it will critically review the applicability of a Pollitt-Bouckaert’s model in this context and implications for how the model could be adapted to fit the tax reform process in post-Soviet transition countries. Accomplishment of these goals would require a multiple methods approach based on the assumption that collecting diverse types of data sequentially in the embedded single-case study will provide more complete understanding of research questions than either quantitative or qualitative data alone. For the study of tax reform, the quantitative data are subjected to time-series analysis of the embedded units while the qualitative interviews remain critical in explaining the main proposition central to the entire case study. The study starts with the theoretical assumption that the factors identified in the model have significant effect on tax reform process. This basic proposition – the impact of socio-economic forces, political changes, administrative system, elite’s decisions, and chance events on the reform process – will be traced for each factor in ‘within-country’ explanatory case study. The fundamental part of this thesis is the Pollitt and Bouckaert’s model of public management reform, which will provide a framework for discussion of the main forces influencing the reform process. As a diagram of main factors of the public sector reform, this model will be further adapted and modified for tax reform purposes. However, the direction of tax reform in the Kyrgyz Republic cannot be understood completely without a good knowledge of the main legacies of the Soviet Union, the cultural and institutional features of centralized planning system, which have left a long-lasting impact on trajectory of the economic and political development in the country. Therefore, the model proposed by Pollitt and Bouckaert does not include other forces, which have substantial impact on reform. In particular, it needs to take more account of significant importance of the development partners in tax reform process.

Abstract:
I performed the role of Brick Pollitt at Lake Mirror Theatre in Lakeland, Florida from April 20- April 30 2006. The role of Brick Pollitt provided me with several acting challenges as well as multiple subjects to research. The most challenging aspects of portraying the character of Brick Pollitt are his alcoholism, issues of sexuality, and tormented familial relationships. Brick Pollitt journeys in the period of one day through major challenges in two key relationships. He moves from dominance in his relationship with Maggie to capitulation and from isolation in his relationship with Big Daddy to mutual understanding. Brick's relationships are further complicated by questions surrounding his recently deceased best friend Skipper and drives (alcoholism) that may be perceived as self destructive. My preliminary work has led me to believe Brick is in search of peace ('the click') in a tormented life (Williams, Cat 2.47). The nature of the torment needs further research for definition. Some critics argue Brick's sexuality is ambivalent, and he is repressing homosexual drives. Equally possible is arguing the homosexuality was restricted to Skipper. Making a decision about the definition of this relationship is key to making choices within the play because the friendship was so important to Brick's perception of himself. Brick believed his relationship was the "one true and pure thing" in a life filled with "mendacity" (Williams, Cat 2.50). 'Mendacity' is Bricks reference to his disgust with "lyin' an' liars' (Williams, Cat 2.50-51). He is lost without this anchor for his life and it has impacted his ability to interact with the world around him. Determining Brick s sexuality in my portrayal will be central to my process while I also embrace research into related areas of behavior. To supplement my research of alcoholism and Brick's sexuality, the following topics: -A Psycho-Analytical study of the character Brick Pollitt and his "archetypal" relationships with Maggie, Big Daddy, Skipper, Gooper, and his place in society. -The evolution of the character Brick Pollitt through various scripts and screenplays. From Williams's first script through to dealing with the Hays Code. A study of Tennessee Williams life history and the influence on the play. -The history of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof from its Morosco Theatre Broadway debut in New York City on March 24, 1955, followed by its film release in 1955 starring Paul Newman, Burl Ives, and Elizabeth Taylor. Any successful portrayal of Brick Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof demands intense focus to individual relationships within the ensemble. The central theme of the play is 'mendacity' (deceit) (Williams, Cat 2.50). Brick uses this word to describe his disgust, but the 'mendacity' of his human relations in the aging and decaying Southern society is what troubles him (Williams, Cat 2.50). Discovering the ties between family, 'mendacity', and society are relevant to the execution of the play (Williams, Cat 2.50). I believe depiction of Brick Pollitt in this Pulitzer Prize winning American Classic will best present my abilities achieved in the Master of Fine Arts Program<br>M.F.A.<br>Department of Theatre<br>Arts and Humanities<br>Theatre MFA

La présente étude s’intéresse non seulement à l’idée d’un cinéma qui pense et participe à la pensée poétique, c’est-à-dire à l’idée de « la coulée du film qui s’apparenterait à celle de la pensée » pour parler comme Norman McLaren ; elle défend également l’idée d’un cinéma poétique et d’une poétique du cinéma axés sur une esthétique nouvelle de médiation et de création qui explore l’univers poétique. En plus de s’engager dans la définition d’un cinéma de poésie et d’une poétique du cinéma, cette étude entend contribuer à la compréhension de certains mécanismes esthétiques et artistiques qui affectent poétiquement l’attention des percept’acteurs (attention poétique) lorsqu’ils sont face aux effets et aux procédés filmiques qui ne jouent plus sur des effets immersifs et déterminants comme on peut le voir dans les cinémas populaires, de divertissement, de narration, et dans les films documentaires, mais sur des indéterminations perceptives, sur « la promenade esthétique » pour parler comme Jean-Marie Schaeffer et sur la « poétique du désœuvrement ».Les films-essais Méditerranée de Jean-Daniel Pollet, Sans soleil de Chris Marker et Asientos de François L. Woukoache, font naviguer les percept’acteurs – néologisme que nous employons à la place de spectateur, puisqu’il ne s’agit plus de spectacle dans ces films – dans une sphère atemporelle et les amènent à l’extérieur du temps, afin de briser la relation qu’ils entretiennent avec les films classiques et de proposer un regard nouveau de l’œuvre. Pour ces cinéastes de la poésie et de la mémoire, il s’agit de façon ambivalente de déraciner et d’ensevelir le mot, de bousculer les conventions et de rompre avec l’accoutumance à travers une vision poétique et « politique » au sens large (politico-historique) du monde, une esthétique nouvelle, un bricolage et braconnage artistique, engendrant une sorte de réinvention du langage.Mots-clés : Films-essais, modernité cinématographique, cinéma de poésie, attention esthétique, attention poétique, percept’acteurs, création artistique<br>The present study does not only examine the idea of a cinema that thinks and participates in the poetic thought, as stated by Norman McLaren as: ‟the flowing movement of the film that echoes that of the thought”, but it also argues for the idea of a poetic cinema and a poetics of cinema focused on a new aesthetic of mediation and creation that explores the poetic universe. In addition to engaging in the definition of a cinema of poetry and a poetics of cinema, this study intends to offer a deeper insight into the understanding of certain aesthetic and artistic mechanisms that poetically affect the attention of percept’acteurs (poetic attention) when they are faced with filmic effects/texts and processes that no longer rely on immersion and determining factors such as observed in popular cinemas, entertainment, storytelling, and documentary films. The attention of the percept’acteurs is rather drawn to the visual/perceptual indeterminacy, of the ‟aesthetic walk”, to sound like Jean-Marie Schaeffer and on the ‟poetics of idleness”.The essay-films Méditerranée by Jean-Daniel Pollet, Sans soleil by Chris Marker and Asientos by François L. Woukoache, make the percept’acteurs – a neologism that we use instead of spectator, since these films no longer deal with spectacle – to navigate in a timeless sphere and export them beyond the time, in order to break the relationship they maintain with classic films and to encourage a new look towards the artwork. La taxa de mortalitat durant la primera setmana de vida és un dels indicadors més utilitzats per avaluar el benestar de les aus de producció. L’objectiu general de la present tesi doctoral va ser estudiar els principals factors que contribueixen a augmentar la mortalitat dels pollets d’engreix durant la primera setmana de vida (MPSV). A la planta d’incubació la MPSV va estar relacionada amb la temperatura cloacal dels pollets (P = 0,0132), de manera que la MSPV pot augmentar fins a 3 vegades quan la temperatura cloacal està per sota del rang òptim (<39,7ºC). L’edat de les reproductores, el sexe dels pollets, el procés d’incubació, el temps d’espera a la planta d’incubació i el sistema de ventilació de la sala d’expedició van tenir un efecte significatiu sobre la temperatura cloacal (P < 0,05). Tanmateix, aquests factors no van tenir un efecte directe sobre la MSPV. Durant el transport es va trobar una correlació significativa entre la MSPV, per una banda, i el sexe dels pollets i la quantitat de pollets carregats per l’altre (P = 0,0082 i P = 0,0087; respectivament). Els pollets mascle van tenir una MSPV major que els pollets femella i com mes gran va ser la carrega de pollets per viatge major va ser la MSPV. La humitat relativa (HR) al vehicle de transport i la duració del viatge van tenir un efecte significatiu sobre la pèrdua de pes dels pollets (P = 0,0006 i P = 0,0188; respectivament). Finalment, els factors propis de la granja que van tenir un efecte significatiu sobre la MSPV van ser l’edat de les reproductores, el sexe i l’estirp dels pollets, el tipus de nau, la presencia o no de recuperador de l’abeurador, els dies d’emmagatzematge dels ous, l’any d’estudi i l’estació (P < 0,05). Es conclou que la MSPV té un marcat caràcter multifactorial. Se concluye que la MPSV tiene un marcado carácter multifactorial. Por lo que, es necesario identificar los factores que tienen un efecto sobre la MPSV para implementar medidas correctoras y mejorar el bienestar de los pollitos.<br>The mortality rate during the first week of life is one of the most widely used indicators to assess the welfare of poultry production. The general objective of this thesis was to study the main factors contributing to the increase of mortality in broilers during the first week of life (FWM). In the hatchery the FWM was related to the cloacal temperature of the chicks (P = 0.0132), so FWM can increase up to 3 times when the cloacal temperature is below the optimum range (<39.7°C). The age of the breeders, the sex of the chicks, the incubation process, the waiting time in the hatchery and the ventilation system in the expedition room all had a significant effect on the cloacal temperature (P < 0.05). However, these factors did not have a direct effect on FWM. During transport, a significant correlation was found between FWM on the one hand and the gender of the chicks and the number of chicks loaded on the other (P = 0.0082 and P = 0.0087; respectively). Male chicks had a higher FWM than female chicks and the greater the quantity of chicks loaded per journey the higher the FWM. The relative humidity (RH) in the transport vehicle and the duration of the journey had a significant effect on chick weight loss (P = 0.0006 and P = 0.0188; respectively). Finally, farm-specific factors that had a significant effect on FWM were breeder age, chick gender, breed, type of house, presence or absence of drinker drip cup, days of egg storage, year of study and season (P < 0.05). It is concluded that FWM has a strong multifactorial character. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the factors that have an effect on FWM in order to implement corrective measures and improve the welfare of the chickens.<br>Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. En els darrers anys s'ha produït un gran avenç en l'enteniment dels mecanismes implicats en la inducció de la placoda òtica. Tanmateix, poc es coneix encara de com s'estableix un domini amb competència neural i un altre no-neural i aquest ha estat l'objectiu d'aquesta tesi doctoral. Hem analitzat els mecanismes moleculars rellevants per la regionalització primarenca de la placoda òtica i hem explorat el paper de Sox3 i Lmx1b en l'establiment i manteniment d'un territori competent neural, emprant l'embrió de pollet com organisme model. Els resultats mostren que el gen Sox3, inicialment expressat en un territori extens, es regionalitza en un domini òtic i epibranquial proneural. La sobreexpressió de Sox3 a estadis preòtics, indueix la generació de precursors neuronals que expressen Sox2 i Delta1, però aquests no aconsegueixen progressar a estadis de major diferenciació. A la vegada, Sox3 és capaç de inhibir la expression de Lmx1b, un gen expressat en el domini no-neural, suggerint que el seu patró final depèn de l'activitat neurogènica de la oïda interna. Finalment, presento evidències que la senyalització mitjançada per BMP té un paper primerenc en l'establiment de l'expressió de Lmx1b en el territory òtic, però que ni l'activitat de BMP ni l'expressió de Lmx1b influencien el procés de determinació neural. <br/>En conclusió, els nostres resultats posen de relleu nova informacióour dels mecanismes moleculars que governen els primers passos de la competencia neural i regionalizació de la placoda òtica en un territori neural i un no-neural.<br>During the last years, a great progress has been made in understanding the mechanisms involved in otic induction but the mechanism behind otic patterning into neural and non-neural domains is still an open question and the major aim of this work was to address this question. We have analyzed the molecular mechanisms underling the early regionalization of the otic placode, and explored the role of Sox3 and Lmx1b in the establishment and maintenance of a neural competent domain in the otic placode by using the chick as a model system. The results show that Sox3 expression initially expressed in a broad domain gets regionalized in otic/epibranchial proneural domain. Overexpression of Sox3 at preotic stages can induce ectopic neuronal precursor cells expressing Sox2 and Delta1 but does not allow the ectopically developed neuronal precursor cells for further differentiation. Sox3, besides providing neural competence to the proneural domain, regulates the posterior non-neural gene Lmx1b suggesting that its final expression pattern depends on the neural activity. Finally, I present evidence that BMP signaling has an early role in inducing Lmx1b expression in the otic field but that neither BMP activity nor Lmx1b expression influence neural commitment. Taken together, our results provide new information and shed light on the molecular mechanisms that underlie the first steps of the neural competence and otic patterning in proneural and non-neural domain.

The aim of this Master’s thesis is to analyse formal and thematic layers of the artistic films produced by the pharmaceutic company Sandoz and to put them in the relation to the specific history of the company. Sandoz laboratories produced mainly in the 60’s and 70’s several artistic films (e.g. La Femme 100 Têtes which was the adaptation of Max Ernst’s collages or Images du monde visionnaire with the presence of artist Henri Michaux). The thesis explores some of the films and, at the same time, describes the production background and cinematographic context in the relation to the history of Sandoz laboratories.

Abstract:
Cette recherche porte sur la réalisation, la caractérisation et l’optimisation de surfaces nanostructurées comme substrats pour la spectroscopie Raman exaltée et la résonance de plasmons de surface. Plusieurs voies sont proposées et comparées. La première s’intéresse au greffage de nanoparticules d’or et d’argent sur des supports préalablement fonctionnalisés. Cette approche de type « top-down » nous permet de mettre en évidence les conditions optimales pour obtenir une monocouche homogène et dense de nanoparticules. Les courbes d’extinction et les facteurs d’exaltation sont quantifiés et modélisés avec des temps de fabrication minimisés. La seconde voie étudiée, de type « bottom-up » consiste à synthétiser des nanostructures par dissolution-déposition de films minces d’or ou d’argent, ces derniers étant réalisés par dépôt physique en phase vapeur. Ce procédé s’appuie sur l’optimisation de cycles d’oxydation-réduction qui permet de concevoir successivement des films rugueux et des nanostructures métalliques. La présence de ces nanostructures et de nano cavités sur les substrats est appréciée et mesurée par microscopies à force atomique et à balayage. La limite de détection de molécules par spectrométrie Raman est ainsi évaluée et comparée aux valeurs rapportées dans la littérature. Les conditions optimales déterminées à partir des courbes d’extinction et de diffusion Raman permettent de converger vers un protocole de fabrication fiable et reproductible. Pour finir, le greffage de nanoparticules a été réalisé sur fibres optiques et la sensibilité de la résonance des plasmons de surface localisés (LSPR) est évaluée<br>The objectives of this work are the realization, characterization and optimization of nanostructured surfaces, e. G. Substrates for the surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and the surface plasmon resonance. Several main contributions were performed. The first one is based on the grafting of silver and gold nanoparticles on functionalized supports. Our bottomup approach enabled us to highlight the optimal conditions to obtain a mono-layer of nanoparticles, with homogeneous distribution and an important density. The curves of extinction and factors of exaltation were quantified and modeled. Also, the manufacturing time was optimized. The second contribution, which is based on a top-down approach, consists of making nanostructures by electro erosion of a thin film of silver or gold, carried out by physical deposit in vapor phase. This procedure, which relies on the optimization of oxidation-reduction cycle (ORC), was employed to realize rough films and metal nanostructures. The presence of nanostructures and the nano cavities on the substrates were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) atomic force microscopy (AFM). The limit of detection by Raman spectrometry was evaluated at 1nM. The optimal conditions obtained from the curves of extinction and Raman scattering made it possible to converge towards a reliable and reproducible manufacturing protocol. The third contribution is the deposit of nanoparticles on optical fibers in order to evaluate the sensitivity of the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)

L’utilisation en électrotechnique et en électronique des matériaux en poudres de fer est en plein essor. Ces matériaux sont formésde particules de fer isolées entre elles par une couche diélectrique mince. La performance de ce type de matériaux dépend d’uneutilisation optimale de ces constituants. Cette optimisation nécessite une bonne compréhension de leur comportement à l’échellemacroscopique mais également à l’échelle des particules elles-mêmes. Le rapport important entre les dimensions à l’échelle des poudres et à l’échelle macroscopique ne permet pas une étude globale tout en considérant les phénomènes locaux au niveau des poudres. A cet effet, il est impératif de simplifier la géométrie du dispositif et par conséquent appliquer des méthodes d’homogénéisation. Dans notre travail, une nouvelle approche d’homogénéisation est développée pour l’étude des matériaux en poudres de fer. La démarche consiste en la génération de cellules élémentaires qui tiennent compte de la densité du matériau et de la nature aléatoire de la distribution des particules dans le volume. Cette géométrie tient également compte de la forme irrégulière des poudres et de la variation de leurs tailles. La géométrie sert par la suite à calculer la perméabilité équivalente du matériau et à,estimer ses pertes. La résolution des équations électromagnétiques a été effectuée par une modélisation 3D basée sur les éléments de Withney développée sous l’environnement Matlab. Le modèle et la méthode de travail proposés contribuent à une bonne compréhension du comportement des matériaux en poudres de fer<br>The use of the iron powders material in electrical and electronic devices is growing rapidly. These materials are composed by iron particles coated by a thin dielectric layer. The performance of this type of material depends on an optimal use of its components. This optimization requires a good understanding of their behaviour at the macroscopic scale as well as at the particle scale. The important ratio between the global material dimensions and the size of the particles does not allow a global study considering, at the same time, the local phenomena at the powders level. For that purpose, it is imperative to simplify the geometry of the device and therefore apply the homogenization methods. In our work, a new non linear homogenization approach is developed for the study of iron powder materials. This approach consists of new generations of elementary cells which take into account the density of the material and the randomized distribution nature of the particles in a volume. This new geometry reflects the irregular shape of the powders and the variation of their sizes. This elementary geometry serves to calculate the equivalent permeability of the material and to evaluate its losses. Solving the electromagnetic equations has been done by a 3D model based on Whitney elements developed under the Matlab environment. The proposed work contributes to a good comprehension of the soft magnetic composite behaviour

La complexité grandissante des pièces fabriquées et les exigences croissantes en terme de sûreté de fonctionnement conduisent à mettre en place de nouveaux procédés de CND. Dans ce travail, une nouvelle méthode appelée technique thermo-inductive a été développée et étudiée. C'est une combinaison et alternative intéressante du CND par courant de Foucault et de la thermographie infrarouge. Cette méthode est basée sur l'utilisation conjointe des phénomènes électromagnétique et thermique pour avoir une bonne sélectivité des défauts. La pièce inspectée est chauffée par induction et la présence du défaut est révélée par la perturbation des courants induits et du champ de température qui se propage à la surface et peut être ainsi détecté par une caméra infrarouge. L'étude porte sur la conception, la caractérisation et l'optimisation de cette nouvelle méthode. Dans cet objectif, un logiciel de simulation numérique 3D basé sur la méthode des éléments finis décrit dans l’espace des éléments de Whitney a été développé dans un environnement Matlab®. Le comportement non linéaire et la nature anisotropique des matériaux sont pris en compte par le code développé. Cet outil est bien adapté à la modélisation des défauts grâce aux éléments coques implémentés. Une estimation fiable des caractéristiques géométriques de défauts est obtenue par l’analyse des résultats à l’aide de deux paramètres de discrimination complémentaires que sont les contrastes d'amplitude et de phase. Ces analyses complétées par des essais expérimentaux montrent que la qualité de la détection des défauts est fortement influencée par la forme de l’inducteur, les caractéristiques physiques de la pièce et des défauts, la fréquence électromagnétique et le temps de chauffage et d’acquisition. Une comparaison de la technique thermoinductive avec la thermographie infrarouge classique montre que cette nouvelle technique est plus efficace en terme de détection de défauts. Des applications industrielles typiques du CND dans les secteurs automobile et aéronautique ont été étudiées et mises en oeuvre. Les résultats ont montré la capacité d'adaptation et la pertinence de la technique pour une potentielle intégration dans un processus industriel<br>The growing complexity of manufactured pieces and the increasing need of reliability lead to development of new processes of NDT. In this work, a new method called the thermo-inductive technique has been developed and studied. It is an interesting alternative of eddy current NDT and infrared thermography. This method is based on the use of both electromagnetic and thermal phenomena in order to obtain a good selectivity of defects. The piece is heated by induction and the presence of default is detected by the perturbation of eddy currents and temperature field which propagates at the piece surface and can be observed by an infra red camera. The study focuses on the design, characterization and optimization of the new method. In this perspective, a 3D numerical coupled software using Whitney’s elements has been developed under Matlab environment. The non linear behaviour and the anisotropy of the different physical properties of materials are taken into account. This tool is well suited for modeling defects thanks to the shell elements implemented in it. A reliable estimation of defect characteristics is obtained by analysing the results using two complementary discrimination parameters which are the temperature and phase contrast. Theses analyses completed by experimental results show that the quality of detection depend largely on the inductor form, the physical properties of the piece, the electromagnetic frequency and the heating and sampling time. A comparison of the thermo-inductive technique with the conventional infrared thermography method showed that the new technique is more efficient in terms of defect detection. Some typical industrial applications of NDT in the aeronautic and automotive sectors have been studied and implemented. The results have demonstrated the relevance of the thermo-inductive technique and its adaptability to a possible integration into an industrial process

L’un des challenges de l’optimisation de la maintenance est la production de modèles décisionnels conjuguant performance au niveau stratégique et au niveau opérationnel. Une hypothèse classique est de considérer que le niveau de dégradation du système peut être modélisé par un processus stochastique particulier caractérisé en régime stationnaire sans tenir compte des effets de l’environnement d’exploitation du système. Cette hypothèse peut être vue comme un des facteurs entraînant des écarts entre les performances attendues et celles mesurées. Par contre, de nombreux travaux sont développés dans le cadre de la fiabilité pour l’intégration de l’impact de l’environnement. L’objectif de ce manuscrit est de développer des outils d’aide à la décision de maintenance pour des systèmes à dégradation graduelle évoluant dans un environnement aléatoire stressant. Nous proposons différentes modélisations de l’environnement et de son impact sachant qu’il peut influencer soit la défaillance du système, soit le processus de dégradation. Nous explicitons les relations mutuelles entre l’environnement et le processus de dégradation et nous construisons différentes politiques de maintenance adaptatives qui se basent sur l’état de dégradation du système mais également sur l’évolution de l’environnement. De plus, les politiques proposées permettent de se baser soit uniquement sur une connaissance a priori du système, soit d’intégrer l’information disponible en ligne concernant l’environnement. Nous chercherons dans ce manuscrit à proposer de nouvelles approches de maintenance combinant performances théoriques attendues d’un côté et réalité et pragmatisme opérationnels d’un autre<br>One of the challenges of maintenance optimisation is the development of decision-making models combining performance at the strategic level and at the operational level. A classic hypothesis is to consider that the degradation level of the system can be modelled by a stochastic process characterized in stationary state without taking into account the effects of the operating environment on the system. This hypothesis can be seen as one of the factors leading to gaps between expected performance and measured performance of maintenance policies. However, many works have been developed in the reliability field for the integration of the impact of these environmental conditions. The main objective of this manuscript is to develop maintenance decision tools for gradually deteriorating systems evolving in a stressful environment. First, we propose different ways to model the environment and its impact since it can directly influence the system failure or the degradation process. We express mutual relationships between environment and the degradation processes. Next, we propose and compare different adaptive maintenance policies which are based not only on the degradation level, but also on the stressful environment level. In addition, the proposed policies can be based either on an a priori knowledge of the system, or integrate the available online information on the environment. We will try throughout this manuscript to propose new maintenance approaches which combine theoretical expected performance on one side and operational reality and pragmatism on the other

Le Mémorandum d’entente d’Abuja pour le contrôle des navires par l’Etat du port dans la région de l’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre » a été signé le 22 octobre 1999 à la 3ème réunion sur la coopération en matière de contrôle des navires par l’Etat du port. Sur 19 Administrations maritimes ayant participé aux deux réunions préparatoires, 16 représentants des Administrations maritimes ont signé ce qu’il convient d’appeler désormais l’acte de naissance de la grande concertation de la sous-région en matière de contrôle des navires par l’Etat du port. La naissance du MOU d’Abuja consacre en Afrique les compétences de l’Etat du port en matière de contrôle des navires étrangers. C’est le développement du droit international qui a favorisé cette évolution qui tempère le principe séculaire de la loi du pavillon auquel le navire obéissait depuis lors et qui n’a pas toujours bien fonctionné. Le MOU d’Abuja institue donc clairement le « port state control » qui consiste à en une visite à bord du navire en vue de vérifier la validité des certificats et autres documents appropriés aux fins du Mémorandum, ainsi que l’état du navire, de son équipement et son équipage et les conditions de vie et de travail de l’équipage. Il vise également la protection de l’environnement par le respect des Conventions internationales. Ayant encore la nature juridique de « soft law », le MOU d’Abuja rencontre de nombreux obstacles pour sa mise en œuvre afin de réduire et d’éliminer les navires sous normes qui fréquentent les ports africains. Même s’il est un accord pertinent par sa référence aux Conventions internationales en matière de sécurité et aussi un instrument de communautarisation du droit de la sécurité maritime en Afrique, il reste néanmoins faiblement appliqué. Ne gagnerait-il pas à être communautarisé comme l’a été celui de Paris dans une politique commune africaine de la sécurité des transports maritimes pour son efficacité ?<br>The Memorandum of understanding on Port State control for the West and Central African region has been signed on October, 22nd 1999 during the 3rd meeting on the co-operation as regards control of the ships by the Port state. On 19 maritime Administrations having taken part in the two preparatory meetings, 16 representatives of the maritime Administrations signed what it is advisable to call from now on the birth certificate of the great dialogue of the under-area as regards control of the ships by the Port state. The birth of the Memorandum of Understanding of Abuja devotes in Africa competences of the Port state as regards control of the foreign ships. It is the development of the international law which supported this evolution which moderates the secular principle of the law of the house which the ship since then obeyed and which did not function always well. The MOU of Abuja thus institutes clearly the “port state control” which consists with of a visit on board a ship in order to check the validity of the certificates and other documents relevant to the purpose of the Memorandum, as well as the condition of the ship, its equipment and crew, as well as the living and working conditions of the crew. It also aims environmental protection by the respect of International conventions. Having still the legal nature of “soft law”, the MOU of Abuja meets many obstacles for its implementation in order to reduce and to eliminate the ships under standards which attend the African ports. Even if it is a relevant agreement by its reference to International conventions as regards safety and also an instrument of communautarization of the right of the maritime safety in Africa, there slightly remains nevertheless applied. Wouldn't it gain with being communautarized like was to it that of Paris in a African common policy of the safety of the maritime transport for its effectiveness?
