Abstract:
Field-effect transistors with conjugated organic active layers are an attractive possibility for cheap, low-end, high volume electronics. Possible applications include identity tags or smart cards, however for this to become commercial reality the field-effect mobility of the charge carriers must be comparable to those in α:Si, around 0.1-1cm2/Vs. Short chain oligomers deposited by vacuum sublimation have been shown to satisfy this requirement, however this deposition technique is expensive and is therefore less attractive to industry. Conjugated polymers may be fabricated so that t

De fysikaliska och kemiska egenskaperna av limmet är de viktigaste faktorerna för att bilda en bra limbindning. I stort sett alla syntetiska lim består idag av polymerer, varav de flesta är petroleumbaserade. Abstract:
This thesis describes the fabrication and electrical characterization of Schottky diodes based on the polymer semiconductor poly(3-hexylthiophene). Printed electronics may not be able to benefit from high vacuum processing, either for economic or technical reasons. The aim was to observe the effects on performance when Schottky diodes were built at atmospheric pressure. 200 nm thick films of poly(3-hexylthiophene) were formed on glass substrates by spinning a 1 wt% polymer solution in chloroform. Vacuum deposited aluminum and gold where used for the Schottky and ohmic contacts respectively. Tw

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to develop a new conductive thermoplastic material with superior electrical properties. Currently, conductive polymers are typically filled with carbon or metallic particles [1]. However, these filled thermoplastics exhibit drawbacks such as high rigidity, toxicity, and high viscosity [2]. An alternative approach investigated in this work is to substitute these fillers with intrinsically conductive polymers like Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT). PEDOT can achieve exceptional electrical conductivities (over 1000 S.cm-1) when combined with polymeric dopants
