DNA barcoding has become a useful tool for identifying and confirming of species within a known taxonomic framework. A large-scale effort is underway to barcode all amphibian species using the universally sequenced DNA region, a partial fragment of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI). This study aimed to determine the diversity of amphibian species in the area of Sulap Hill and Watervang Dam Lubuklinggau City. This research was conducted from June to August 2018. Data collection was an exploration method-combined visual encounter survey (VES). The samples obtained were identified at the Biology Education Laboratory, STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau. Data analysis included species composition, diversity index, and Evennes

The conversion of forests to agricultural farmland modifies lands into small patches, making amphibians more susceptible to external environmental changes. It is important to restore the forest ecosystem so that fauna species, especially anurans, could gradually recover and help create a balanced ecosystem in the restoration process. The aims of this study are to determine diversity, richness, and evenness of the anuran species, and to investigate the relationship of the anuran species with environmental variables of restoration areas and adjacent forests of Terla Forest Reserve (FR), Cameron

Abstract Amphibians are essential in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems, contributing to multiple ecological functions. The presence of amphibians in a particular area usually signifies a healthy ecosystem as it indicates that the habitat meets the requirements of their life cycles. However, the amphibian population have been declining due to human activities including pollution and habitat destruction. Researchers are using new methods to monitor amphibian diversity to address this decline. Conventional sampling methods were compared with new DNA metabarcoding techniques using advanced seq
