This master's thesis deals with a topic of determination of the most suitable ratio of cathode materials for the lithium-sulfur systems. The first two chapters provide a general introduction to the topic of electrochemical energy sources and present the commonly used primary and secondary battery systems with emphasis on their characteristics and applications. The core of the theoretical part is dedicated to lithium-ion and lithium-sulfur batteries, their working principles along with the benefits or drawbacks related to the particular systems, and widely used materials. The experimental part briefly comments on determining the suitable electrode paste preparation method, the subsequent main part is focused on evaluation of electrochemical performance of cells using different ratios of cathode materials. Five samples of cathode materials were prepared, where the sulfur ratio is in range from 64 to 88 wt. %. Finally, the comparison of all prepared ratios in terms of their electrochemical properties is provided.

The thesis informs a reader about problems of establishing new/small political parties and their activities in Czech Parliament during the period of 2002 -- 2010. The surprising and unexpected results of Chamber of Desputies election that took place in May 2010 and brought considerable transformation of contemporary political establishment in Czech republic, represented the main impulse for writing this thesis. The aim of the thesis was to find out the size of political market openness for new/small political parties during the period of 2002-2010 and simultaneously evaluate what kind of position and substance these new/small political subjects in the political market have. A content of thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is focused on theoretical theme and includes four chapters. There are mentioned mainly the issues of new/small political parties' definitions, the role of relevant parties in proportional representation systems and also some of the most important attempts of electoral reforms. The second part includes the final chapter that is focused on analysis of the factors that had influence on increase or decrease in chances of new/small parties to be successful in Chamber of Desputies elections from 2002 and thus become the part of political establishment. The fundamental questions were: How have the new/small political parties built up in that period of 2002-2010 and under what circumstances have they become the part of political establishment.

This doctoral thesis presents the results of the development of two software programs for the design of progressive distributors and progressive lubrication systems. One of these programs implements a genetic algorithm and the other, which is used to design progressive lubrication systems, implements a parallel genetic algorithm of the island model. The program for the design of progressive distributors was implemented in Java using the NetBeans development environment and the other program was created in Matlab. The thesis further focuses on analytical and computational solutions of the flow of compressible greases seen as viscoplastic fluids. Equations for the numerical solution of the non-steady flow of compressible viscoplastic Bingham fluids were derived and solved by the Lax-Wendroff method in Matlab. As several constants had to be set in the equations, experiments were conducted with the ecological grease Plantogel 2S in the laboratory of the Kaplan Department of Hydraulic Machines, mainly to determine the sound velocity in this grease. The sound velocity was calculated based on the experimental results by applying Fourier transformation and the transition matrix method. In addition to this, the rheological measurements of greases were used. As seen from the results, the ecological greases are actually thixotropic viscoplastic fluids with a significant elastic element. Since a Newton fluid was assumed when calculating the sound velocity, the possibilities of using the transition matrix method for viscoplastic fluids were then considered. No analytical solution of the flow of viscoplastic fluids in a frequency spectrum has been published so far. Because it emerged that greases had a significant elastic stress factor, the problem of the non-steady flow of elastic-viscoplastic fluids was solved numerically between two infinite parallel plates by applying the finite difference method (FDM). The computation was done in Matlab. This doctoral thesis makes a contribution to solving problems related to the design of progressive distributors and progressive lubrication systems used to distribute compressible greases. Considering the complex approach to this field and the achieved results, the thesis also represents a significant contribution to design work.

This document aims on aplication of sophisticated software programs to accomplish hydraulic analysis of real water supply, design and optimization measures for improvement of pressure conditions in water network. In this work is stated a list and description of software enabling to accomplish static or longterm hydraulic analysis of water supply when the most world used program EPANET 2.0 is described more deeply. There is described working of a EPANET and his algorithm also there are explain principles on which EPANET is based. During the hydraulic analysis of real system was used sophisticated software EPANET 2.0. With this program was processed hydraulic analysis of chosen water supply system of small consumption area. Based on the results of analysis pressure conditions has been designed and optimized measure to improve pressure conditions in the water network.

The object of my diploma is focused in the pension system of The Czech Republic and the perspective of it in the future. At present there is still no problem in the financial balance of the pay-as-you-go pillar but due to the ageing of population the Czech dominant pillar will certain face to serious problems in case of no modifications. This conclusion arises from the first part of the analysis which also consists of the possible parameter modifications that could keep the system in balanced in long term. The next part is the analysis of the savings in the pension funds as the main alternative to the PAYGs. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages which are main objects of both analyses in this diploma. Beside of the ability to keep the system stabled in financial terms I examine also the equivalence of contributions to the level of pensions that is important for the motivation of people to be responsible for their financial security in their old-age. The last part deals with the experiences of the pension systems in Chile, Slovak Republic and Sweden from where we could gain the real results of the reformed systems in different way in each country. From the results of these analyses I also give some possible recommendations for the elementary modifications in Czech system in the final part.

This master´s thesis deals with the problem of measuring flow, especially using the method of Q/H characteristics. It describes the thin-plate weir and mentions specific channels. The master´s thesis suggests options of monitoring flow capacity in fixed proffiles with free surface. The master´s thesis also includes an experiment, which is focused on simulation of substandard tributary flowing proportions before weirs for determining their effect on Q/H characteristcs. The experiment is carried out on a thin-plate weir with a rectangular notch at the Department of Water Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engeneering in Brno. Another part of the master´s thesis is data processing to get an idea about the impact of the phenomenon in real applications. Finally, options are recommended for follow-up research.

This thesis can be divided into five main parts. The first part deals with theoretical analysis of power flow calculation in power network during steady state condition. Load flow calculation is presented here as a linear and nonlinear problem. Newton iteration method is proposed for solving power flow as nonlinear problem. The second part of this thesis deals with the analysis of short-circuit calculation in accordance with valid International Standard IEC 60909. The equivalent voltage source method is adopted in case of the short-circuit calculation. For the calculation of unbalanced short-circuit currents, the symmetrical components method is also presented. The last three parts of this paper are focused on calculations of power flow and short-circuit conditions in power grid Sokolnice. So in the third part is the description of nodal area Sokolnice with its substations and the calculation of load flow and short-circuit conditions for two different power supply options. For each supply option is also considered an abnormal (fault) grid condition. (overall there are solved four different options) The fourth part of this thesis deals with the result analysis and also the results of different power supply options are compared. In the last part there are presented necessary technical improvements for fault-free operation of power grid Sokolnice based on the result of power flow and short-circuit conditions in that grid.

This thesis deals with steady running and short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network, E. ON, fed from 110 kV Otrokovice. Substation Otrokovice ensures system transformation from 400 kV to 110 kV system through three transformers. In order to increase reliability of power supply and improved economy is considered to bridge the transition from the operation of two transformers in bridge operations of the three transformers. However, this brings with it significant worsening of short-circuit conditions in the 110 kV network. The task of this work is to evaluate and compare the two variants of operation in terms of steady running and short-circuit conditions in the network at 110 kV and then implement operational and technical measures. The introduction describes the electricity system and its parts. The theoretical part of the paper discusses ways of dealing with steady running and short circuit conditions of long lines. Practical part will deal with applications of knowledge on the network. The conclusion summarizes the most relevant information and the results assessed both variants.

The theoretical part is devoted to the calculation of steady state high-voltage systems using Newton's iterative method, transient phenomena that may occur in the power system short-circuit calculations and theories. The practical part deals with the actual calculations of steady state and short-circuit conditions in a separate and parallel operation of nodal areas Sokolnice-Otrokovice, which were calculated using the dispatching program. These calculations are then evaluated for possible use of involvement in actual operation. At the end there are suggestions on operational measures in the network 110 kV.

Distribution network 110 kV owned by E. ON in the area Otrokovice; powered by 110 kV and two variants of involvement contained.The first option is basic involvement, without the use of the bridge. The second option includes involvement with the bridge. The aim of this study is to compare; by calculating the steady-state network operation and short circuit conditions of the network, the involvement of these two options. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of a description of the steady operation of networks of high-voltage and short circuit ratio calculations. Load flow calculations are described by the Gauss-Seidel and Newton iterative method. In the case of short-circuit conditions, the effects of their characteristic values, processes and various methods of calculation are described.In the second part, this theoretical knowledge is applied to input data and dispatching programme with the appropriate calculations of network operation and short circuit conditions. The calculated values are listed in the thesis, on the basis of which an evaluation of the two possible connections is made.

The master’s thesis deals with a calculation of steady state and short-circuit conditions in a 110 kV system during a bridge operation of transformers in a Sokolnice substation. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a calculation of steady state of a system using Newton’s iterative method, it investigates short-circuits – their timing, distinctive values and a method of their calculation. In the practical part the 100 kV grid supplied from Sokolnice substation is described. The main goal of the thesis is a comparation of two basic wirings: bridge operation of T202 and T203 transformers (contemporarily in service) and bridge operation of T402 and T403 (in service after 2017). These two wirings were controlled even during one state of emergency during which the Sokolnice substation will be affected by an outage of one busbar. Voltage conditions, loading of power line and transformers and overall power balance were controlled. Short-circuit conditions were also calculated and short-circuit resistance of particular substations was inspected. In the conclusion technical measures needed to ensure smooth bridge operation of convertors T402 and T403.

In the distribution network 110 kV of E.ON Company there are the nodal areas of Čebin substation and Sokolnice substation which are operated separately at the present time. There is one 400/110 kV transformer for each nodal area. In case of fault on one of these transformers or on busbar in which the set transformer is working, it comes to an outage of electric supply in the set nodal area. This problem has to be solved with help of the parallel operation of nodal areas of Čebín substation and Sokolnice substation. The main and also the practical task of this work is to design the bridge connection appropriate for parallel operation of nodal areas (supply transformers 400/110 kV). With help of a computing program there were made calculations of steady state and short-circuit conditions in distribution network 110 kV for separated and parallel operation of nodal areas. Voltage conditions, load of transformers (400/110 kV and 110/vn kV) and conditions on 110 kV lines are evaluated and controlled as the result of steady state calculations. Based on short-circuit conditions there is controlled the short-circuit resistance of the substations. Finally there are compared advantages and disadvantages of separated and parallel operations of nodal areas. If necessary, technical arrangements required for introduction of parallel operation of nodal areas of Čebín substation and Sokolnice substation will be designed. The theoretical part of the work deals with calculation of steady state with help of iterative methods, namely Newton´s and Gauss-Seidel methods. There are further described the method of calculating short-circuit currents, characteristic values and time behaviours of short-circuit current.

This diploma thesis is focused on the properties of unsuitable and conditionally unsuitable fine-grained soils after a one-stage or two-stage treatment by using a binder. The theoretical part occupies with problematical properties of the fine grained soils in a subgrade and a possible technology of the change of these properties. The laboratory testing of treated soils is described and a practical technology of the one stage and two-stage stabilization. In the practical part the fine grained soils are treated by one-stage or two-stage stabilization. For the one stage stabilization the cement is used, for the two-stage stabilization the properties of the soil are improved by lime and then the soil is stabilized by cement. The treated soils are laboratory tested, the initial bearing index IBI, California bearing ratio CBR, unconfined compressive strength and frost susceptibility is tested. Based on the results of the laboratory tests the benefit of the two-stage stabilization is measured.

The work deals with the problematics of receiving very weak radio signals and it is focused especially on systems for low rate telemetry with carrier-subcarrier modulation. The part of this work is dedicated to calculation the link budget of typicall telemetry data transmission system between the Mars and the Earth in respect of the receiving equipment, which could be developed in the Experimental sattelites laboratory on the Institute of radio electronics BUT. The main part of this work is dedicated to developing and testing the low rate telemetry data transmission system model. The model is developed for the purpose of study the effects of AWGN and phase noise on the whole system and also on its component parts. The model has been developed and described in the way of easy parameters modification. The design for each parameter of the model is described carefully. With the developed model, the study of the effects of AWGN and phase noise on the whole system and also on its component parts has been performed.

Dissertation thesis falls within the area of indoor climate and deals with a hydraulics of heating systems, mainly with the hydraulic separator. This earlier widely used element of the heating system, which hydraulically separates heat source and heat appliance, is nowadays in the heating systems based on condensation technologies inappropriate, as the results obtained from experimental measurements show. This findings also well correlate with own theoretical solution based on the calorimetric equation. Conclusion of the dissertation thesis shows fact that in case of imbalance flow rate between heat source and heat appliance adverse warming of return pipe water in the heating system with hydraulics separátor is caused. This effect in practice reduces the efficiency of heat production and expected condensation process of flue gas is discontinued.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe localization and calculation load identification of dynamic systems using piezoelectric sensors. Finding methods, which would allow us to evaluate loads on simple systems is the key to their application in the structural health monitoring of more complex systems. A theory necessary for understanding and application in aerospace, civil engineering, automobile industry, and train traffic of presented methods is given in the first part of the thesis. In these applications, the methods of wave propagation and different types of neural network methods are used to evaluate load identification. It is possible to evaluate loads by using a time reverse method, a method based on signal deconvolution, and a method based on a voltage amplitude ratio of the piezoelectric sensor. In the next part, the methods are described, the suitable place for gluing of a sensor, and the number of sensors for using method is given. These methods were verified and compared to a simple experimental system. In the following part, the model of the piezoelectric sensor is presented. It is possible to use the model for calculating voltage output from the strain. For methods verification, the problem of train passage in a specific place of the railway is chosen. The speed of the train and its load on the railway was calculated by using these methods.

System of proportional representation in the Czech Republic and its critique Abstract The diploma thesis "System of proportional representation in the Czech Republic and its critique" deals with the proportional representation in the Czech Republic, particularly its most criticized aspects. The purpose of this paper is to analyse this system, its characteristics, forms and reforms under the Czech conditions. The first chapter defines proportional representation and describes its constituent elements - a legal threshold, electoral formulas (quotas and divisors), electoral districts and tiers and preference votes. Chapter Two is concerned with four specific forms of this system applied in the Czech Republic. It describes elections to the Chamber of Deputies, local elections, elections to the regional assemblies and European elections. The third chapter outlines the problems of Czech electoral reforms - specifically the big reform of elections to the Chamber of Deputies from 2000 and the case of Prague elections in 2010 which both had to be brought to the Constitutional Court. This final thesis deals with electoral system to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Its genesis, evolution and future are presented in 3 chapters and in the Conclusion. Work is designed as a case-study and it employs two methods - from general to particular, and from earlier to later. These methods are used in whole work as well as in particular chapters and subchapters. The first chapter introduces readers to the issue of electoral system in general. There are described two main voting systems - proportional and majority vote. Stress is put to the proportional system which has used for elections to the Chamber of Deputies. Also the question "which electoral system is the best" is mentioned. Following chapter surveys history of the electoral system and evolution from its establishment to the present. Main part of this chapter deals with a reform introduced in the year 2000 which was declared by the Constitutional Court as unconstitutional. New law, instead of blank spaces after the decision of the Constitutional Court, was adopted in the year 2002 and since that it has been valid till the present. Thesis is in its effort focusing on segments of electoral system and trying to identify its problematic points and to introduce alternative electoral system proposed to the electors in referenda. The thesis is using the electoral studies methods, especially quantitative measuring of attributes of electoral system and party structure within the House of Representatives.

The goal of this thesis is to show the life and functioning of the Senate of the National Assembly of Czechoslovakia. The upper house of the Czechoslovak Parliament functioned between 1920 and 1939 after which it was officially dissolved during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. In the concerned period, the chamber was gradually saw 444 lawmakers of seven different nationalities. The biggest number consisted of Czechs and Germans. The functioning of the Senate is analyzed from multiple angles. First the debate accompanying the establishment of a second chamber before the adoption of the new Constitution in 1920 is analyzed. Attention is also paid to the period debates and unrealized proposals for a Senate reform at the end the 1920's, linked to the proposed creation of the Economic Parliament. Also shown is the proportional representation electoral system used for elections to the Senate. The results were reflected in a large number of political parties with low electoral gains, which in turn hindered the creation of a stable political environment. The thesis considers the party, ethnic, social, intellectual and oratory activities of individual senators. The diploma thesis is focused on the importance of biocorridors in the landscape. Introduction describes the general characterics of biocorridors and their establishment. Practical work was done in the selected biocorridor in Uhřice u Kroměříže. Monitoring was carried out from 2014 to 2016. Soil properties were compared on arable soil, and after its conversion into forest soil and permanent grassland. Following soil properties were observed: texture, soil reaction, conductivity, humus content and quality, nutrient content, hydrophysical properties, and penetrometric soil resistance. Obtained results showed differences in all studied properties after conversion into forest soil and permanent grassland. Conversion into forest soil suggested the highest differences.

The objective of the thesis is a detailed analysis of overhang seats, the peculiarity of the German electoral system. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on research of the electoral systems and their political consequences. The second chapter devoted to the German electoral system explains his mechanical functioning and discuses his influence on the degree of proportionality and the party system. The analytical part tries to clear the phenomenon of overhang seats, his origins by means of testing presented variables using the electoral results data from 1990 - 2009. The current electoral reform is also discussed.

The purpose of this thesis is to process a research material obtained from a fieldwork in the region around Zálesí in Sumava, Czech Republic, in order to elaborate bases for a global countryside improvement of the area. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the explanation of the concepts that define the forms and goals of the countryside and land improvement. It is followed by an introduction of the relations among the land improvement and a stability of the ecology system, landscape and common devices planning. The theoretical part is concluded with a short description of the natural conditions and, according to the methodology, an analysis of the current situation in the field. The applied part of the thesis follows the methodology of Dumbrovsky at al., 2004. In the first part, there is a general characterization of the field, spatial analysis and an analysis of the differentiation of the area around Zálesí. It is followed by an identification of its concrete characteristics and values. The outcome of the thesis is a detailed and global research of the countryside, which could be used during the planning of the improvements of the global stability of the region.

The practical part of my dissertation is focused on a few esential issues, one of them is the choice of the area of the interest which has to meet some standards : 1) the existence of territorial plan 2) the corresponding area 3) the possibility of meaningful municipality growth with the connections to its surroundings. At the given municipality and its surroundings, the area and municipality characteristics was made. Also local research was conducted, and after that, the landscape character and SWOT analysis followed. The environment, public utilities, conditions for economy development, socio-demographic and water supply and distribution were studied and analysed. Next, studying of the methodology of the country area growth was also neccessary. During preparation, consultations with the purchaser (chairman of the council) were held, where the progress of work was set and mutual standpoints on partial problems conception were discussed. Next step was the territorial-economic rules procedure and discussion and making own concept of the proposal of territorial plan change. Program GIS was used for this plan {--} the output was a map with the current situation and suggested changes.

:.In our work we wanted to confirm our clinical experience with therapy of biliary and pancreatic duct injuries from the endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) which was done in 267. Children and infants with a variety of biliary tract disorders and traumatic injuries in the area of biliary and pancreatic duct.. Pressure of the bile plays the key role in the therapy of biliary tract injuries Therefore we have measured the pressure in biliary tract and duodenum before and after the sphincterotomy of Oddi sphincter. Thea aim of our study was to confirm the insertion of drainage into the biliary and pancreatic duct in children with injury in this area. Our results showed significant differences between biliary duct pressure and duodenal pressure in the patients before and after sphincterotomy of Oddi sphincter. This results on theoretical basis confirmed, that it is necessary in children after traumatic rupture of biliary duct to provide ERCP and insert a biliary drainage after sphincterotomy. With this procedure the biliary tract injury is healed ad integrum without surgical liver resection. To provide only papilosphincterotomy without biliary drainage is not sufficient. This new miniinvasive procedure plays a fundamental role in the therapy of blunt abdominal injuries in a children and infants...

The aim of this dissertation is to evaluate and compare the chosen integrated transport systems in the Czech Republic and based on findings submit a proposal to improvement. For this purpose are chosen the largest and the smarter transport sysstems in the Czech Republic, which are: - Integrated transport system of the Hradec Kralove region (IREDO) - Prague integrated transport system (PID) - Integrated transport system of the South Moravia (IDS JMK) Within the analysis is used the evaluation of the qulitative indicators, for example the number of the carriers, the number of tthe stations etc. This shows that these indicators haven?t got sufficient predictive value for the analysis and final evaluation, because some differences among the transport system. Therefore are the ratios included the analysis, which arw designed on the basis of the quantitative criterions recalculated for factors causing the significant differences of the transport systems. From the analysiss came out best the Integrated transport system in Prague (PID), because of the high freguency of the transport links, large fleet, reliable continuity of the transport links, and the positive evaluation of the range of distribution network, the number of vending machines, types of tickets and existence of the car lots P+R. The worst rated is Integrated transport system of Hradec Kralove region (IREDO), which was recomended to concenterate for the information sources and to attractive the system by these sources. Generally speaking the successful integrated transport systems are these which comply with conditions of the uniformity, intelligibility and clarity. Another important factor is the high frequency of the transport links, the continuity, availability of the bus stops and of course the quality passenger information.

The master's thesis focuses on one aspect of labour law in the Czech Republic. Specifically, it provides a thorough interpretation of the Czech legal regulation of dependent labour, including the issue of the so-called švarcsystem. In order to achieve such purpose, the thesis uses information from the Act No. 262/2006 Coll., the Labour Code, as amended, the Act No. 435/2004 Coll., The Employment Act, as amended, available doctrinal literature and case law of Czech courts and the European Court of Justice. The interpretation is performed by a comparision of the past and present Czech regulation, as well as the theoretical background and practical implications, which is the core of the focus of the master's thesis.

This is due to their mostly "negative'' specifics of the service for a democratic political system, it manifests in the areas of human rights and freedoms, political rights, social work and criminal justice. Therefore, the special rules of the social security system, which is also characterized by the ethical dimension, are related to these groups. Specifically, in the Czech Republic this is the attitude to the service in the former totalitarian regime. There is also monitored the merit of the systematized places in the service employment.

vi Abstract Title: Evaluation of postural stability among deaf adults Objectives: The purpose of this diploma thesis was to compare the postural stability between the deaf and the normal hearing adults, and to find out if the statistically significant difference in measured parameters does exist. Methods: 102 subjects at the age of 20-45 years participated in this study. The experimental group consisted of 35 deaf adult subjects with congenital or early childhood deafness. The control group has been made by 67 normal hearing adult subjects. The postural stability was objectively evaluated by Footscan, the pressure measuring plate. Nine tests were passed, duration of each test was 30 seconds. The total travelled way (TTW) expressing the total path the centre of acting pressure travelled during the test and the Romberg ratio, which is the ratio of TTW values under the condition of closed and open eyes, were selected as indicators of postural stability. T-test was used to assess the statistical significance of the differences between the group of deaf adults and normal hearing group. To estimate the influence of individual characteristics of the subjects (evaluating the data from the questionnaires) to their postural stability, the ordinary least squares estimator was used.
