Nové zdroje inovací - výzvy pro českou ekonomiku a její postavení v globální ekonomiceGlobalizace v současné době, zčásti i v důsledku ekonomické krize, přechází do druhé fáze a mezi odborníky se začíná hovořit o tzv. globalizaci 2.0. Ta znamená nejen další silnější propojení světové ekonomiky, ale zejména posilování pozice rozvíjejících se zemí nejen z pohledu výroby, ale především z pohledu spotřeby. Hlavní centra nabídky a poptávky se proměňujía výroba a spotřeba se opět začínají více organizovat ve stejné lokalitě. Rychle se rozvíjející ekonomiky a jejich velmi početná populace se tak podle odborníků i manažerů některých velkých korporací stanou hlavním motorem budoucí poptávky (spotřeby). A tedy i zdrojem pro nové inovace (inovace totiž začíná i končí u zákazníka), které budou díky své jednoduchosti, snadnému použití i nižším nákladům pronikat i na vyspělé trhy. Cílem tohoto článku je jednoduše zhodnotit, jak si v tomto kontextu stojí Česko a také jaké má tato proměna důsledky pro podporu inovací a konkurenceschopnosti.

Článek se zabývá problémem balancování rodinného života a pracovní kariéry v zemích Evropské unie a v České republice, přičemž speciální pozornost věnuje pozici žen na trhu práce. Naše analýza postupuje ve dvou krocích. V prvním kroku srovnáváme zkoumané země s ohledem na faktory poptávky a nabídky práce (indikátory participace/nonparticipace na trhu práce, diskriminace žen na trhu práce, lidského kapitálu a břemene domácí práce). Ve druhém kroku se pak snažíme identifikovat (s využitím clusterové analýzy) různé skupiny/shluky zemí, jež ve vztahu k daným faktorům vykazují podobné rysy. Díky tomu můžeme vymezit tři hlavní režimy ženské pozice na trhu práce (jihoevropský, skandinávský a smíšený) a umístit Českou republiku tohoto triangulárního rámce.

his thesis deals with the supply and demand and the impact of advertising on these two microeconomic variables. The work is focused on describing the operation of supply and demand from marketing point of view and not from a microeconomic perspective. In the theoretical part of this work to explain the essence of marketing and advertising, that can well influence the need and demand for goods and services. I'm also concerned with marketing mix and communication mix, which is the theoretical basis for the establishment of marketing activities to promote services and products. The theoretical outline the development of communication campaigns, as each campaign must be properly planned so as to be successful. The aim of this thesis is to examine the functioning of supply and demand, and assess the impact of advertising on supply and demand. This issue in a practical example of the real estate agents Dachi,Ltd., based in Olomouc. Practically make a quantitative marketing research methods and hypotheses are tested using a test of goodness of fit chi-square.

Abstract:
This Master's Thesis deals with the demand for golf in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to identify the main determinants of the demand for golf and their influence on the golf boom in the Czech Republic. First chapters are devoted to the theory of demand and its determinants. This is followed by a general introduction to golf, namely its brief history in the Czech Republic and the basic specification of the play. The middle part is devoted to the other side of the market, the supply. There are analyzed the status and development of golf infrastructure in terms of different types of golf courses, but also their price. The status and development of the membership of the Czech Golf Federation is analyzed after the supply. A final chapter deals with determinants of demand, whose significance is assessed on the basis of data obtained from the survey.

The main aim is to describe and analyze a key determinants of the demand for services of ski schools in Krkonoše mountains. At the beginning I focus on a segment of ski schools itself. After, the hypotesis are set up, based on the defined determinants, and verified by a survey. The survey was held in a winter season 2008/ 2009 in Dolní Dvůr, Ski school SKi Baron. In addition the survey focusing on visit rate of Krkonoše mountains is mentioned. Next point is to compare two ski schools according to a different clients (SKOL MAX in Špindlerův Mlýn and Ski Baron in Dolní Dvůr).

Abstract:
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the determinants of behavior of demand for multiplexes in Prague. The main building material is the dataset of attendance and revenues evolution for individual movies distributed between years 2002 and 2011, always for the first four weeks from the premiere, provided by the Union of Film Distributors. The paper investigates consumer behavior on the movie market. The demand for movies is the dependent variable measured by the number of visitors in the corresponding weeks. The subject of analysis -- explanatory variable - is price, film rating (critics), genre, country of origin, character of time frame, frequency of screenings in a given week, format (2D/3D), length of movie, popularity of the actor/director, impact of movie series etc. The data are exposed to the regression according to which the significance of different variables is tested. The hypothesis about strong negative correlation of the price and quantity demanded is investigated based on the results, (Dewenter R., Westermann M., 2005) versus the hypothesis of weak sensitivity those two variables (Sangho Kim, 2009) against a more significant relationship of demand and other determinants. The influence of price on attendance has shown to be insignificant on the Prague movie market in the short term. A significant determinant impacting the attendance for a movie in the entire monitored period is the film rating, actor, length of movie, and number of screenings.

PhD dissertation: "Demand in the wellness market for services in the Czech Republic and abroad" deals with an emerging sphere in the market for services. The service sector contributes not only to the GDP but participates in improving living standards in developed countries. Wellness market for services could influence the way how to spend free time, increase the whole quality individual lives and contribute to reduce spending on health care in the future. In the introductory part there is analyzed the current situation on the wellness market in the Czech Republic. The view of some Czech businessmen on the wellness market for services is often considered (for the purpose) as a way of earnings regardless the broader content of the sphere connected with the healthy lifestyle. The term "wellness" often includes activities which do not concern this sphere, only use this term for marketing purpose. The dissertation is based on the own definition as a term. This term is defined as a permanent feeling of higher quality of life achieved through performing physical and mental activities and internal acceptance of the healthy lifestyle. The goal of this dissertation is a demand survey for these services, it specifically concerns the research of public awareness in this sphere, finding the attitude to activities, which are connected with wellness and acquiring next information which is principal for development in successful business activities, particularly for the strategic decision in pricing policy, the equipment in wellness premises and the quality provided services. In the dissertation were assumed three basic hypotheses: 1. On the basis of research there will be possible to put a qualified customer group and to determine chosen activities. They are suitable as a content of offered programmes for clients who are informed of this sphere or seek to achieve outlined goals. 2. Customers with interest and knowledge of the sphere will be interested in the healthy nutrition, the consumption of dietary supplements and in next activities concerning wellness. 3. Next assumption is a fact that the level of knowledge and understanding the whole conception will be at a lower level in the public. The theoretical part of the dissertation is based on the classical microeconomic theory. The attention is mainly paid to the theory of consumer optimum. Subsequently the dissertation focuses on the issue of marketing research, particularly on the analysis of appropriate quantitative methods which could and should be used in the application part. Great emphasis is placed on the communication policy which is a very important tool for the marketing mix. The application part of the dissertation focuses on its own demand research within that over nineteen thousand data from more than three hundred respondents were obtained. The results were presented after analyzing the obtained data. They showed that all age groups of respondents included in the population survey have within their categories very different features. Thanks to that fact popular sports have been identified, it was possible to determine a client's price concept about services suitable for this sphere and to describe an opinion on the quality and the equipment of wellness premises. Next, for purposes of comparison, two researches from abroad were used and these have become a valuable source of information and serve as a basis for comparative research i.e. comparison of foreign experience with the situation on the Czech market. Both differences and facts generally applicable in the Czech Republic and abroad were found. The result of the investigation was not only the recommendation for following research directions, particularly the need to do research in specialized wellness premises among informed customers with regard to data which were not possible to find out during the overall market research. Another task resulted from the finding that the respondents have very little awareness of the sphere and it will be necessary to establish the wellness programme conception and to introduce this concept to the public particularly by focusing on high schools oriented on physical education and sport and other public institutions. There is a fact that the Czech institutions in the health sector do not consider the prevention in the field of diseases of civilization important enough. It will be necessary to carry out next education of the public in order to achieve savings in the treatment of diseases of civilization in the Czech health care in the future. At the end of the dissertation it is stated that the goals and tasks were fulfilled despite difficulties in obtaining foreign materials and information suitable for comparison with the market in the Czech Republic. In the introduction the presented hypotheses were mostly confirmed, excluding the customer's price concept. It could not be determine intended consumer optimum because of significant heterogeneity of statistical results. In any case the dissertation showed the low level of public awareness of the concept wellness (as expected), the necessity of more distinctive defining of mental activities suitable for this field and the need to unite different opinions on the whole sphere of these services.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis explores the demand for Croatia as destination among Czech tourists. Its theoretical part, using literature, explains the concepts that are mentioned in the paper, and provides basic information about Croatia. The research work consists predominantly of the questionnaire analysis, enabling the author to identify and describe the main reasons why Czech tourists choose the Croatian coastline as favourite destination for their summer holidays. The paper also indicates, among others, whether Czechs prefer going to Croatia individually or jointly with others, and with how many, how do they travel, which income groups are mostly involved, what is the typical purpose of their trips, how much do they typically spend per person, and many other findings. The questionnaire survey is then compared with various articles and studies exploring the topic of the presence of Czech tourists in Croatia. The paper concludes with the summary of ascertained findings and trends observed, as well as the future development prediction as to the level of preference of this destination among Czech tourists.

Abstract:
The per capita consumption of beer in the Czech Republic is one of the biggest in the world. However, in recent years the consumption has started to decrease. This thesis analyzes determinants of demand of beer and possible causes of decreasing of beer consumption. The whole market is analyzed using the time series models. In the next step, the market was separated into on-trade and off-trade part. No previous researches have dealt with this division. It was proved, that wine is a substitute of the on-trade beer, but a complement of the off-trade beer. On-trade beer is an ordinary good and if the price increases by one Czech crown, the consumption will decrease by 5 %. Spirits are complements of on-trade beer. No impact caused by price on the consumption of off-trade beer was proved. During the analysis of off-trade beer was found out, that the beer is the gross substitute of wine and that the good weather makes its consumption to increase. The future prediction for 2014 suggests that average person will consume 57,5 liters of on-trade beer.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to assess the absorption capacity of sui generis innovations of the Czech regions, as well as to estimate their demand capacity for the JAWA electric motorcycle. The starting point is data capturing the reactions of regions to the innovative product line of JAWA motorcycles in the years 2017-2020. Variability analysis was used during the processing, and in the creation of the model for estimating the capacity of regional demand for electric motorcycles also correlation analysis. The real variability of regional sales of the innovative JAWA motorcycle line was high in the monitored period, moreover with a growing trend. Regions also differ in the different speed of acceptance of product innovation. The model for estimating the capacity of regional demand for the JAWA electric motorcycle takes into account both the parameters relevant for the sale of motorcycles in general, and the parameters associated with the elimination of the negative impact of internal combustion engine emissions on the environment. Just they cause a decrease in the variability of the capacity of regional demand for the JAWA electric motorcycle in the Czech regions.
