Abstract:
AbstractWith the development of digital technologies, big urban data is now readily available online. This opens the opportunity to utilize new data and create new relationships within multiple urban features for cities. Moreover, new computational design techniques open a new portal for architects and designers to reinterpret this urban data and provide much better-informed design decisions. The “AI Urban Voids'' project is defined as a data-driven approach to analyze and predict the strategic location for urban uses in the addition of amenities within the city. The location of these urban amenities is evaluated based on predictions and scores followed by a series of urban analyses and simulations using K-Means clustering. Furthermore, these results are then visualized in a web-based platform; likewise, the aim is to create a tool that will work on a feedback loop system that constantly updates the information. This paper explains the use of different datasets from Five cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Berlin, Warsaw, and Sao Paulo. Python, Osmx libraries and K-means clustering open the way to manipulate large data sets by introducing a collection of computational processes that can override traditional urban analysis.

Abstract:
This paper presents a totally generic client - server model for accessing legacy and new databases according to the three tier architecture principles It is based on an integrated environment that eases the dynamic creation and instantiation of secure web applications that access multiple database management systems. Emphasis is placed on the ability to query almost any type of relational database and queries can simultaneously address a multitude of data sources. The information is collected, assembled and presented to users depending on a possible set of user profiles. These profiles originate from work on securing the conduct of clinical studies. This has been achieved in the context of the E U funded project HARP (Harmonisation for the Security of Web Technologies and Applications). The generic character of the model is exploited through an accompanying set of development tools. This permits efficient and effective creation and maintenance of applications in several domains of health telematics and beyond. Main merit is the lightweight character of the resulting platform, whereby all necessary instantiations are accomplished through a set of related XML documents.

Abstract:
There is a significant demand by physicians and clinical researchers for remote access to continuously acquired physiological patient data. Until recently such access was technically unfeasible. However, with the recent development of Internet-based World Wide Web (WWW) client/server applications and underlying communication protocols, there is now a real possibility for the development of costeffective, platform independent solutions to this problem. We have devised a way using existing WWW tools and minimal startup costs to provide access to current as well as previously acquired physiological patient data. Physicians and clinical researchers can obtain access to these data through personal computers located in the office, at home or even through portable computers while traveling to conferences or while on vacation.

Abstract:
Embedded systems within home appliances are not usually manufactured to operate in a networked environment; connecting supplementary hardware/software systems through a wireless, PC-controlled medium is necessary to enable full, efficient control of their functions from a remote location. Access to the home’s central PC may be gained via a local web server, giving Internet-based control from almost anywhere in the world. The proposed system constitutes a significant improvement over those discussed in the literature to date, and reviewed here. It enables complex-appliance control in a secure and reliable portable-wireless environment, and was developed using ASP.Net. The system was assessed for Received Signal Strength (RSS) in an environment more radio-hostile than that found in a typical household. The minimum RF level found at a transfer rate of 9.6 kbps was 8 dB above the receiver’s quoted sensitivity of -103 dBm; this fading margin will increase in a normal household environment.

Web robots are autonomous software agents used for crawling websites in a mechanized way for non-malicious and malicious reasons. With the popularity of Web 2.0 services, web robots are also proliferating and growing in sophistication. The web servers are flooded with access requests from web robots. The web access requests are recorded in the form of web server logs, which contains significant knowledge about web access patterns of visitors. The presence of web robot access requests in log repositories distorts the actual access patterns of human visitors. The human visitors' actual web access patterns are potentially useful for enhancement of services for more satisfaction or optimization of server resources. In this chapter, the correlative access patterns of human visitors and web robots are discussed using the web server access logs of a portal.

More than a decade has passed since the launch of the first e-Government one-stop web portals, which concern central points for digital access by citizens, enterprises and government. Due to the broad audience that these portals serve, various analyses have been performed concerning their effectiveness with regard to service delivery; trustworthiness with regard to service availability; usability; accessibility; and user satisfaction etc. The results from these analyses have extreme interest for governments, since they reflect government strategic planning, internal efficiency and effectiveness, while they have been utilized for their upgrades. E-Government portal upgrade appears to be something usual and various updates have been observed in most portals during this timeframe. This paper addresses and important issue: “do e-Government portal updates enhance user satisfaction?” To this end, a comparative qualitative evaluation of some major e-Government portals is performed, with the use of the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) during 2009 and 2012.

In SOA framework, Portal applications aggregate and render information from multiple sources in easily consumable format to the end users. Web services seem to dominate the integration efforts in SOA. Traditional data-oriented web services require portlet applications to provide specific presentation logic and the communication interface for each web service. This approach is not well suited to dynamic SOA based integration of business processes and content. WSRP 2.0 aim at solving the problem and providing the framework for easy aggregation of presentation services. Is not practical to publish portlets locally if the organisation wishes to publish their portlets as web services to allow their business partners using these services in their portals. UDDI extension for WSRP enables the discovery and access to user facing web services while eliminating the need to design local user facing portlets. Most importantly, the remote portlets can be updated by the web service providers from their own servers.

Abstract:
Data virtualization is the procedure of combining data from different sources of information to develop a solo, logical and virtual view of facts so that it can be accessed by front-end resolutions such as applications, dashboards and portals without having to know the data's exact storingsite. Several organizations ride multiple types of database management systems, such as Oracle and SQL servers, which do not work fine with one another. Therefore, enterprises face new challenges in data integration and storage of huge amounts of data. With data virtualization, commercial handlers are able to get real time and consistent information speedily, which supports them to take foremost corporate decisions. The process of data virtualization involves abstracting, transforming, federating and delivering data from unequal sources. The key objective of data virtualization technology is to deliver a single point of access to the data by aggregating it from a wide range of data sources.

Abstract:
The open-source Jupyter project has fostered a robust ecosystem around notebook-based computing, resulting in diverse Jupyter-compatible platforms (e.g., JupyterLab, Google Colab, VS Code). Jupyter Widgets extend these environments with custom visualizations and interactive elements that communicate directly with user code and data. While this bidirectional communication makes the widget system powerful, its architecture is currently tightly coupled to platforms. As a result, widgets are complex and error-prone to author and distribute, limiting the potential of the wider widget ecosystem. Her

Subsea pipelines and flow lines are periodically subjected to damaging events such as anchor impacts that result in massive pipeline movements, dropped object damage, internal/external corrosion damage, etc. Knowing how to assess these damage events is often challenging, especially considering the potential for product release. The cost of production shut-ins can be significant and avoiding un-necessary shut-ins is desirable. While most pipeline operators have company-level procedures and programs in place for responding to pipeline emergencies, at the current time there is no single resource
