Full textIn spanish fiction and particularly in the kind of written fiction by women-novelists after the civil war, teenagers are often drawn. We feel we are confronted with real, genuine portraits while, before readers had to be content with mere tentative sketches ; indeed in the fiction published, at that time, the very young girls and also the young ladies they often had grown into, take up stances which are surprisingly new. Infact their creators thus achieve a kind of perfection in that respect, insisting, as they do, on the adolescent period of their fictitions feminine characters. Spanish women-writers often insists on the particular period of time of adolescence for their heroins, often imparted their own most intimate hidden, convictions, and are naturally nourished with foreign models but it was also fraught with their own knowledge of death, and love, acquired during the various wars they had gone through. The consequence is the portraying of adolescent characters as drawn by spanish fiction writers ans the reader feels that many personal memories break through the bedrock of the tales that are told. For instance, rosa chacel during all that period does draw such a character in teresa and memorias de leticia valle. In nada and la isla y los demonios carmen laforet renews the genre making conveying to them the shock it was for most people. Ana maria matute writes short stories and in luciernagas tells the memories of a teenager of that time. Carmen martin gaite writes short stories about meregirls and young ladies while reflecting

Full textSCOPE The scope of this research work is to show a post-war literary magazine that was distributed for three years. It exposed traditional pathway of Don Quixote de la Mancha based on Miguel de Cervantes work. It was born in the 1940s and once closed in 1949; it remained concealed. METHODOLOGY Methodology used has been diverse. Other studies about literary magazine and a comparison among Spanish literature and a historical and cultural background in Spain have been taken into account. Aditionally, his director’s testimony: Francisco Adrados Fernández and his personal archive about Albores bequeathed until his death. CONCLUSIONS “Albores de Espíritu, una revista literaria de la posguerra en estado latente” ("Dawn of the Spirit, a dormant post-war literary magazine ") is a research work on a magazine born late in 1945 in Tomelloso when a lot of literary magazines flourished. It was published monthly and encompassed the intellectual work that survived after the Civil War. From September 1946 until May 1949 it designed the now traditional pathway of Don Quixote de la Mancha in its integrative purpose. It had dissemination and it reported the birth anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes which was held in 1947. After its closure, it lasted although forgotten and banished because another compelling modality achieved its identity in the province of Ciudad Real. Literary and artistic, especially pictorial, activity was split into a before and an after with the belligerency. The 40s was a dark period. In the magazine, the work instructed by Cervantes among writers, painters and poets coexists with journalists both followers and ideologically confronted to Franco’s regime. From Albores, the best known magazine of these years, in 1951 it was organized the second time of postismo in Ciudad Real. The project, funded by the company Bodegas Santa Rita, was defended until his death by Francisco Adrados Fernández, the director and creator.

Full textThis thesis aims to rediscover the figure of Juan Ramón Masoliver as the central axis of Barcelona's post-war cultural panorama through his most ambitious and significant project, the anthology collection Poesía en la mano. This collection published in the early 1940s, represented the consecration of Masoliver as anthologist, translator, editor and critic and the modernization and Europeanization of the cultural scene according to the lesson of excellence and cosmopolitanism apprehended during his intimate collaboration and friendship with Ezra Pound in the Rapallo of the 1930s.
