Transcription factor binding sites are essential components of the machinery that controls gene expression. In the absence of experimental data, computational approaches are used to predict binding sites based on promoter DNA sequence. However transcription factor binding depends not just on sequence but also the packaging of the DNA molecule. Nucleosomes, as the smallest unit of DNA packaging, affect transcription factor binding by obstructing protein-DNA interactions.<br>We use an empirically-derived relationship between binding sites and nucleosome positioning to augment an existing computa

Surveillance is an important application for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The sensed information often has high priority and it must be made available to human operators as quickly as possible. In this case, other UAVs can form a relay chain between the surveillance UAV and the base station. Precision of measuring distance between mobile and base transceiver station is a key element of positioning base transceiver station. More precision for measuring distance, more precision for positioning base transceiver station. The error of measuring distance is 555 meters base on timing advance(TA) technique. It is very difficult to get the reasonable and acceptable results in GSM 2G network. This paper is inspired by the “divide and conquer” algorithm. Prior to the introduction of GPS enable

Abstract:
In this thesis, we consider the problem of finding the geographic position of a transmitter device (e.g. mobile phone), denoted as user equipment (UE), based on signal parameter estimates such as angle-of-arrival or time-of-arrival that are provided by surrounded sensors or base stations. If line-of-sight (LOS) channels between the UE and the base stations exists, high positioning accuracy can be obtained using trilateration or triangulation techniques. However, this assumption is ideal and not often encountered in practice. Especially in urban areas and hilly terrain, reflections at obstacles

This research work presents of study of ultra-wide band (UWB) indoor positioning considering different type of obstacles that can affect the localization accuracy. In the actual warehouse, a variety of obstacles including metal, board, worker and other obstacles will have NLOS (non-line-of-sight) impact on the positioning of the logistics package, which influence the measurement of the distance between the logistics package and the anchor , thereby affecting positioning accuracy. A new developed method attempts to improve the accuracy of UWB indoor positioning, through and improved posi

Numbers of interesting applications for WSNs have been investigated, e.g., surveillance, target positioning, tracing, and health care. Sensor networks have been forecasted to apply variously, both the civilian and military domains. There are two important issues usually are concerned on WSNs design. One is to construct a qualified WSN for applications to guarantee desired quality of service (QoS). The other challenge is to prolong the n
