Abstract:
The following article presents an approach for a novel positioning stage as basic component of a small machine tool. It is a parallelkinematic machine (BiGlide mechanism), which converts the linear motion of two linear axes into a planar motion. The novel features, which were identified to be crucial for the transition from conventional machine tools to small ones, are: compact and precise feed axes, backlash free motion transmission, and direct measurement of the tool-center-point position and the ability of additional fine positioning. The proposed implementations are: hydraulic feed units, dry slide bearings as rotational joints, highly precise radar sensors and active variable-length struts of the parallelkinematic machine. Some of the simulation results are presented along with measurements of a currently designed prototype.

Abstract:
With many different studies showing a growing demand for the development of indoor positioning systems, numerous positioning and tracking methods and tools are available for which can be used for mobile devices. Therefore, an interest is more on development of indoor positioning and tracking systems that are accurate and effective. Presented and proposed in this work, is an indoor positioning system. As opposed to an Ad-hoc Positioning System (APS), it uses a Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). The system makes use of an already existing Wi-Fi infrastructure technology. Moreover, the approach tests the positioning of a node with its neighbours in a mesh network using multi-hopping functionality. The positioning measurements used were the ICMP echos, RSSI and RTS/CTS requests and responses. The positioning method used was the trilateral technique, in combination with the idea of the fingerprinting method. Through research and experimentation, this study developed a system which shows potential as a positioning system with an error of about 2 m to 3 m. The hybridisation of the method proves an enhancement in the system though improvements are still required.

Abstract:
In order to solve the problems of low positioning accuracy and poor stability of indoor electric power tools positioning technology in practical applications, this paper proposes a spatial positioning algorithm based on active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The algorithm first uses the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) ranging model to convert the signal strength of the target position to the distance from the target position to the locator, then obtains more accurate position information through the multilateral positioning model, and finally reduces the positioning error through the least squares estimation algorithm. In addition, a localization software system is designed for the algorithm, which displays the target's position and detailed coordinate information on top of the system interface, providing an intuitive display for indoor localization. The experimental results show that the algorithm can meet the basic needs of indoor positioning of electric apparatus, and the designed positioning software system can accurately display the position coordinates of electric apparatus.

Abstract:
The positioning error of ultra-precision machine tools is the primary factor directly affecting the machining accuracy. It mainly depends on the machine tools guide. And its variation trend contains the same inertia as that of the machine tools movement. The variation trend of the positioning error is the derivative of a function fitted with the positioning errors of three adjacent testing points. The variation trends function is fitted with the variation trend of many points. The model of positioning error is the integral of the variation trends function. Because the variation trend of positioning error has certain inertia, the model of positioning error which is obtained in this way is more precise and more reliable than error function model which is directly fitted with limited discrete data.

Abstract:
During the COVID-19 pandemic which is a non-natural disaster, the ARDS cases (Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome) rocketed. Despite the advantages of prone positioning for ARDS care, ICU staff seldom use it due to the unavailability of positioning tools, making it a challenging task for nurses. This study aims to investigate nurses' experiences with manual prone positioning and propose ICU-friendly prone position tools. This research method used a qualitative phenomenology theory study to 15 ICU nurses who were experienced in prone positioning at least 10 times to intubated patients and had complaints about the intervention. The experience was gathered using structured questions and recorded. The data was analyzed following Colaizzi’s thematic method, and all the emerged themes were collected and reported. The research results show that fifteen interviewed nurses noted that prone positioning is physically demanding and requires a coordinated team with a minimum of three staffs, 2 handles patient positioning, 1 leader securing the intubation tube. Before starting, the team assesses the difficulty level. Recommended tools include a slide sheet with handles, a modified Vollman prone positioner, and a crane-like prone harness. The conclusion is nurses find tools highly beneficial for prone positioning but will improvise with available resources like underpads as a ring-shaped pillow if tools are unavailable.

Abstract:
The exposed location of Ireland has always rendered it vulnerable to weather and climate extremes. Awareness that future climate change will pose a complex mix of impacts necessitates strategic thinking on how best adaptation to future conditions can be achieved for Ireland. This extended introduction to seven papers examines how different perspectives and tools can be brought to bear on the problem. First, a historical context is needed to learn from past mistakes and inform future strategy. Current uncertainties are then addressed with reference to hydrological modelling where the need to act in advance of scientific certainty is emphasised. Analytical techniques involving satellite remote sensing and climate envelope modelling are then shown to have considerable utility for managing valuable habitats and biodiversity change. Weaknesses in governance systems are highlighted with reference to the Cork floods of November 2009, and at a local government level, where an urgent need for leadership at a central government level to drive the climate change agenda is identified. The interdisciplinary position of geography is seen to offer many advantages to contribute to progress in the climate change arena.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to explore positioning and rebranding as tools for state security in global space, using the methodology of constructivism in international relations. The author hypothesizes that positioning the country as safe will be attractive only if there is a unifying factor based on the principles of consocial democracy. To achieve this purpose, the authors used several scientific approaches and methods: constructivism as a scientific paradigm; dialectical method; content analysis, and comparison. The article covers the following issues: Positioning and rebranding in modern conditions; Level of branding effectiveness in Ukraine; National identity as the basis for rebranding and state security; Rebranding states in the face of new challenges and threats. The essence of the conclusions is as follows: States will choose a partner for economic cooperation under difficult conditions in terms of political risks, benefits, and costs. This trend is about renewed positioning and rebranding to facilitate decisions on cooperation. The effectiveness of the existing state brand depends not only on creating an attractive external picture of the country’s positioning. Without a genuine alignment of the declared brand with the internal situation of the state, the political system as a whole, the congruent of the mental construct of the main political structures and the social environment, the brand will not be attractive to investors and the country will remain in an unstable environment.

Abstract:
Abstract The CNC machine tools are present at a large extent worldwide, for machining by cutting all kinds of work pieces. Their machining accuracy and quality are crucial to obtaining very accurate and intricate work pieces. The accuracy of a CNC machine tool is given by the quality of each and every kinematic linkage/coupling in its structure. This work aims at researching the influence of several constructive and functional factors on the positioning accuracy of a kinematic coupling in the structure of a CNC machine tool. The influence caused by noncompliance with the Abbé principle on the positioning accuracy of a feed kinematical linkage is analysed into detail, both at idle and load running. Out of this research useful conclusions are resulting for the CNC machine tool designers and builders, with respect to optimising several constructive factors, such as the location of the position encoder, location of the ball screw, stiffness of the directional guideways etc., in order to improve the accuracy of the CNC machine tool. The results of the theoretical research have been validated through experimental trials, confirming the impossibility of full compliance with the Abbé on the CNC machine tools.

Abstract:
With the development of market economic relations and the intensification of competition in Ukraine, the problem of adequate positioning of enterprises among competitors, as well as in the consumers` minds becomes relevant. The author summarizes scientific approaches of foreign and domestic scientists to the interpretation of the concept of "positioning", which are reflected in the following: F. Kotler (positioning as a way of identifying goods), J. Trout, E. Reiss (as a certain position of the enterprise among competing goods), Belyaeva N.S. (as an element of the enterprise strategic management system). Three basic components to understanding the essence of positioning are generalized and allocated: positioning as a concept that defines the ideological aspect in its definition (ideas and views), which are the basis of the enterprise product proposal; positioning as a strategy that involves the development of a competitive position of the enterprise product and the relevant marketing complex; positioning as a set of actions that characterizes a set of measures, specific ways to convey the position to the target segment in the implementation of marketing programs; so it is a set of tools to help forming a brand image that should strongly differ from competitors. Due to the fact that the agricultural component is important to the Ukrainian economy development, it is necessary to ensure the effective positioning of agricultural enterprises in foreign markets, which is the source of their sustainable competitive advantage. The opinions of Ukrainian scientists on the agricultural enterprises products positioning were summarized: Kozak L.V., who proposes strategies for the agricultural enterprises development; Kosharna P.S., who offers strategic tools for the agricultural enterprises; Artyukhova K.V. and Bondarenko V.V., who substantiate the necessary market position of agricultural enterprises. Approaches and factors for positioning of agricultural products that should be taken into account in the foreign economic activity of enterprises such as planning, staff, practice, partners that can strengthen opportunities, positioning, protection are analyzed. Peculiarities of agricultural enterprises products positioning were determined: production seasonality, high level of natural and climatic conditions dependence, role and value of products, variety of management organizational forms, time discrepancy in finished products growing and manufacturing, level of state participation in agro-industrial complex development. The author has formed a structural and logistical scheme of agricultural enterprises product positioning, which has the following main elements: purpose, means, conditions of activity, support (including the development of enterprise products positioning strategy) and marketing tools. The main marketing tools that must be used in positioning the products of agricultural enterprises include: the type of product, its quality, functional properties, type of packaging, guarantees; price formation conditions; logistics sales channels used in the delivery of products to the customer; products promotion; qualification of the personnel carrying out marketing support of agricultural enterprises production.

Abstract:
Maintaining minimal levels of geometric error in the finished workpiece is of increasing importance in the modern production environment; there is considerable research on the identification, verification and calibration of machine tool kinematic error, and the development of Postprocessor implementations to generate NC-code optimised for machining accuracy. The choice of multi-axis positioning function at the controller, however, is an often-overlooked potential source of kinematic error which can be responsible for costly mistakes in the production environment. This paper presents an investigation into how mis-management of the positional error parameters that define the rotary-axes’ pivot point can lead to unintended variations in multi-axis positioning. Four approaches for kinematic positioning on a Fanuc-based controller are considered, which reference two separate parameter locations to define the pivot point – managing the kinematics within the Postprocessor itself, full five-axis positioning with a fixture offset, full five-axis with rotation tool centre point control and 3+2-axis with a tilted workplane. Error vectors across four sets of rotary-axis indexations are simulated based on the theoretical kinematic model, to highlight the expected differences in geometric error attributable to mismatched pivot point parameters. Finally, the simulation results are verified experimentally, demonstrating the importance of maintaining a consistent approach in both programming and operation environments.

Abstract:
Due to the errors of the servo system and the errors of the ball screw drive system, the positioning errors inevitably occur in the process of CNC machine tools. The measurement of traditional equipment is limited by a fixed measurement radius and a single degree of freedom, which can only be measured within a fixed plane. In this paper, four different positioning errors of CNC machine tools are first measured at full scale by using J-DBB (a modified double ball bar with one spherical joint connecting two bars) method. The J-DBB device uses a three-degree-of-freedom spherical joint as a connecting part, which realizes that the measurement radius can be continuously changed, and the measurement space is a spatial sphere. First, the principle of the J-DBB method is briefly introduced. Next, four typical positioning errors of CNC machine tools are analyzed and examined, which contain the uniform contraction error of ball screw and linear grating, periodic error of the ball screw and linear grating, interference of measurement devices error, and opposite clearance error. In the end, the trajectories of the CNC machine tool spindle with a single positioning error are simulated by using the J-DBB method. The results reveal that this method can be used for the positioning error of machine tools, which helps to better understand the spatial distribution of CNC machine tool errors and provides guidance for the reasonable selection of working areas to improve the machining accuracy of parts.

Abstract:
The article studies the development of new methodological support for marketing activities in the context of globalization for innovative enterprises with a wide range of products. Today, manufacturers are winning over consumers in conditions of high competition and decreasing response time to market needs. It is necessary to structure the needs of the target audience according to purchase decision-making patterns. Based on the analysis of approaches to ensuring competitiveness, it was revealed that it is necessary to study consumer behavior and motivation for purchasing goods. The theories of purchasing decisions and motivation for choosing a product are analyzed. It is noted that globalization has transformed the consumer environment and consumer behavior, and the motives for self-positioning in society and joining new social groups are highlighted. The article proposes a “needs - interests - values” systematization, which highlights the special properties of a product. The proposed systematization is included in the algorithm for choosing a positioning strategy based on a ranking pyramid, taking into account: price, quality, functionality, design, exclusivity, brand status and brand spirit, which allow influencing the choice of the target audience. The developed seven-level ranking pyramid is a tool for making decisions on choosing a product positioning strategy. The proposed methodological approach to positioning of goods will ensure the competitiveness of the organization.

Abstract:
Objective. The objective of the article is to research the current provisions of the development strategies of the amalgamated territorial communities in the context of using the positioning tools of Luhansk and Donetsk regions in order to form a positive image of the territories and increase their competitiveness. Methods. To achieve the objective an abstract logical method is used (when substantiating the use of a marketing approach for the development of local territories); the method of structural and logical analysis (when determining the prerequisites for positioning the communities of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions) and the method of logical generalization (when revealing the value of the positioning process for the amalgamated territorial communities of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions) are applied. Results. The use of a marketing approach to the development of local territories is justified, the use of a territorial-sectoral concept as a classic for positioning the administrative-territorial units of Ukraine is noted. The provisions of the development strategies of the amalgamated territorial communities of Ukraine in the context of using positioning tools are investigated, and regional results have been clustered. Using the mapping method, the presence of deep asymmetries in the process of positioning the amalgamated territorial communities of Ukraine is proved, and the presence of only two marketing tools in their strategic documents (SWOT-analysis and assessment of the competitiveness of the territory) is ascertained. The main prerequisites for positioning the amalgamated territorial communities of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, which have difficult conditions for the formation of a positive image of their territories in connection with the continuation of hostilities in the east of the country, are identified and analysed. It is argued that the issues of increasing the image of the communities of Luhansk and Donetsk regions require attention to the unique available characteristics of the area, which makes us think about the modern redistribution of resources in favour of high-tech industries, the development of small and medium-sized businesses, and tourism.

Abstract:
Many researches from the international literature and also those of the specialised companies from the machine tools domain, have focused in the past years on increasing the positioning precision and implicitly, the manufacturing precision of the numerically controlled machine tools. The results of these efforts have led to the elimination or compensation of different factors which affect the positioning precision of the kinematic feed chains. Nevertheless, the effects of some factors still find themselves in the positioning error of the kinematic feed chains, an important component of this error being represented by the cutting and friction force induced error (resistant errors). This paper presents a new method of experimental analysis for establishing the influence of resistant forces on the positioning precision of the kinematic feed axis. Due to the fact that measuring the positioning precision during the cutting process is difficult to achieve, the experiments were carried out using a simulated force. In order to simulate an axial force, a hydraulic system was adopted, composed of a hydraulic cylinder, a distributor valve and a check valve.

Abstract:
Abstract This work is researching the ball screw stiffness influence on the positioning accuracy of the feed kinematic linkage of a CNC machine tool fitted with an indirect type measuring system for positioning the moving element. Because the machine tool is equipped with an indirect measuring system, backlashes and elastic deformations in the kinematic linkage cannot be offset by the position loop, consequently these are directly affecting the positioning accuracy. In this context, methods are used for diminishing their influence as well as compensation methods with a view to improve the positioning accuracy. Ways to preloading the ball screws and bearings of the ball screw are presented as well, by focussing on the optimisation, through calculations, of the preloading force value. An important component, analysed in this work, consists of the research of the ball screw–nut stiffness that depends on the strategy being used on the axial bearing of the two ends of the ball screw. The experimental tests have been performed at idle running on the CNC milling machine (CPFH 500), fitted with three controlled axes (X, Y and Z). Based on the experimental results, it may be noticed that, once increased the ball screw stiffness, within the limits stated by the ball screw supplier, the positioning accuracy will increase as well.

Abstract:
At the present stage of agricultural production development, Smart farming is widely used as a systematic transition from managing a separate technological operation to managing processes that ensure the achievement of the required level of overall profitability of production through the use of new decision-making tools and automated management technologies. This approach involves expanding the scope of machines, equipment and software, including the widespread use of robotic tools in horticultural production and processing technologies, in order to increase production efficiency, eliminate the “human factor” in the production of products, replace human participation in production processes with a large proportion of heavy manual labor and minimize harmful effects chemical protection products for humans and the environment. Another reason for the intensification of the development and implementation of robotic tools with intelligent control systems in agriculture is the shortage of technologists and engineers in farms, due to the unattractiveness of labor in the agro-industrial complex. The article discusses the issues of increasing the efficiency of industrial gardening, through the development and implementation of robotic systems and electric drive transformer modules in various technological processes. The features of the designs and practical application of robots with intelligent motion control systems on garden plantations are analyzed. The application of the block-modular principle of the layout of robotic machines is justified to increase the efficiency and productivity of their work in industrial gardening in various technological operations: plant care (spraying, milling of aisles) and harvesting.

Domestic CNC machine tool and NC machine tools abroad's main gap is accuracy stabilization rather than accuracy. Accuracy stabilization test is done on some three-axis vertical machining center aiming at the status. Laser interferometer is used to test X, Y, Z axis's positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy and reverse gap. The test is done taking 80 days as the period. The accuracy test results is analyzed. From the positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy and reverse gap curves we can see that, because of the factors of machine's use and temperature's change, X, Y, Z axis's positioning accuracy changes violently, repeat positioning accuracy and reverse gap change a little.

Abstract:
In the context of competition for limited resources for the development of territorial communities in Ukraine, the use of marketing tools in managing local development is becoming increasingly important. One of these tools is positioning. In the case of territorial communities, it is a communicative expression of their identity. This study aims to determine the positioning characteristics of small territorial communities in Ukraine (low-urbanized territories – communities with a predominantly rural population) in formulating their positioning criteria. The subject of the analysis was the strategic visions formulated in the long-term planning documents of low-urbanized territories. Descriptive information was evaluated and grouped using expert methods. It was determined that low-urbanized territories in Ukraine use a multi-criteria approach in the positioning process: the number of applied criteria reached 26 (an average of 6 criteria). Each of them is focused on specific target audiences – residents, investors/local businesses, and tourists/visitors (48% for each of the target audiences). At the same time, less than half of the surveyed communities (44%) position themselves as “territories of developed agriculture”. Since little research has been done on the positioning of territorial communities in the Ukrainian context, this study has contributed new knowledge in this field.

Based on an analysis of five English-speaking students’ written narratives on Quebec’s history, this article proposes a pedagogical tool for better integrating and vitalizing these students’ language community in Quebec. Despite tendencies of reliance and opposition emerging from their historical consciousness, these students do not employ clearly articulated and coherent English-speaking storylines for positioning themselves as a minority group. To this end, I suggest the creation of schematic narrative templates of English-speaking Quebec’s collective historical experiences for offering students workable springboards to develop personal narratives of belonging, while taking Francophone concerns of linguistic and cultural fragility into account.

Abstract:
Machine tools with a hybrid kinematic structure represent an unconventional type of machine tools whose characteristics depend on the kinematic configuration. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a separate accuracy analysis for each machine configuration. The analysis of the characteristic values obtained by examining the accuracy of positioning is the starting point for further improvement and calibration of this type of machine. In the case of conventional machine tools with a serial kinematic structure, appropriate standards and recommendations are used to evaluate the state of the machine through testing the positioning accuracy. The paper describes the preliminary measurement of the condition of the machine tool with the hybrid kinematic structure "O-X glide" according to the ISO 230-2 standard, carried out in order to adjust the mechanical subassemblies of the machine, which precedes the process of calibrating the machine's control system.

Abstract:
The main goal of the kinematic feed chains used on numerically controlled machine tools is to ensure the relative position between the manufactured part and the cutting tool tip with a high accuracy. Therefore, the positioning precision is a major performance criterion for CNC machine tools. The guidance system of the machine table, together with the actuation system and the closed-loop control system, represents a key factor in manufacturing high precision machine tools. Mounting and alignment errors of guideways, both in vertical and horizontal directions, directly affect the table positioning precision and implicitly, the manufacturing precision of the machine tool. Guideways misalignment also generates stresses, plays and excessive run-out. The present paper contains a method of experimental analysis regarding the influence of guideways alignment errors on the positioning precision of the kinematic feed chains, which takes into account the alignment of the two guide rails, both in vertical and horizontal plans. The feed axis used in the experimental setup is closed-loop controlled, making use of an indirect position measurement system.

Abstract:
Our objective in the interactive formulation of the "formal description schema - fds" model is the modeling of the prototypical, i.e. the subjective, perceptual ability of a human "expert", the ultimate human or robotic decision maker. In this paper, we present our fds-approach and methodology for solving the problem of modeling and exercising perceptual recognition [3–6]. We limit our discussion to one-dimensional variational profiles. We view the fds-model as a two-stage procedural model. Concerning the "early" (pre-attentive) recognition stage, we define the "structural identity of a k-norm class, k∈K" — SkID — as a tool for quick shadowing of sensory data and positioning instantiations of sufficient resemblance to interactively pre-defined spatio–temporal norm classes. Attentive recognition tools follow for assessing conformity of SkID-pointed occurrences.

Micro/nano positioning is one of important techniques to operate bio-cell and micro assembly. For realizing the precise positioning, the various piezo-driven stages have been already proposed and micro/nano scale resolution has been achieved. However, it is pointed out that the existing precision positioning tools are too large compared to operating area. Their devices are too difficult to combine other devices and use in tight environment like under microscope. In this paper, a precise positioning method with wire connected mechanism under microscope is proposed. The proposed positioning system is simply composed actuators including piezoelectric element and super extra-fine wires. By applying wire connected mechanism, the saving of larger work environment compared to traditional devices is hoped.
