Part 1-The Literature Review explores the topic of attentional bias which is thought to be a component of many anxiety disorders. A review of the literature on dot-probe studies of anxious individuals which used faces as stimuli found 24 studies. Studies of both socially anxious and generally anxious individuals suggest attentional bias in the initial, orienting stage of attention, which is increased by conditions of social threat. The review concludes that attentional vigilance for threat is a consistent feature of anxiety disorders including both social anxiety and GAD. There is little or no

Abstract:
Positive sequential dependencies occur when the response on the current trial n is positively correlated with the response on trial n-1. This was recently observed in a Judgment of Frequency (JOF) task (Malmberg and Annis, 2011). A model of positive sequential dependencies was developed in the REM framework (Shiffrin & Steyvers, 1997) by assuming that features that represent the current test item in a retrieval cue carry over from the previous retrieval cue. To assess the model, we sought a set of data that allows us to distinguish between frequency similarity and item similarity. Therefore,

Due to the large number of foreign antigens that might be encountered by any given host a diverse repertoire of TCRs must be available for immune recognition. The main source o

Abstract:
In this qualitative study, the researcher intended to establish factors that could create a positive culture of teaching and learning at school. Findings revealed that a culture of teaching and learning can be created by factors that relate to the learners, the educators and the school setting. Findings established that learners are motivated if they participate in sports, educational trips and competitions. Learners who receive incentives for outstanding achievements and participate in the management of the school are also motivated. Motivational talks and learner's exchange programmes enhan

Many apps utilize user contexts to provide innovative services, e.g., hTC blinkfeed and Yahoo Aviate windows. Two of the most important user contexts are mobility patterns (still and walk) and device wearing positions (hand, arm, chest, waist and thigh). We call these two user contexts “wearing behavior”.

碩士
國立臺灣科技大學
機械工程系
87
The purpose of this thesis is to develop a position/scaling-invariant pattern recognition system. Two basic methods are proposed based on global features and local features. Both methods are embedded in the traditional Hamming network where pattern recognition activities are performed. For the first method, the global feature of the pattern is input into a feature extraction network to calculate its exact position. An associate memory network is employed to perform static mapping of the input feature position and the weighting matrix of the Hamming n

碩士
國立高雄師範大學
工業設計學系
100
Serial position effect is often used to as evidence in dual store memory. The research focuses on visual patterns; this study investigates (1) Whether or not the serial position effects can be observed in visual patterns? (2) Are that differences between visual complexity (simple and complex) in serial position? This study designed meaningless picture of 240 simple concave polygons and 240 complex concave polygons, to form the recognition test. Thirty participants the included, male:11, female:19, the mean age was 31.43 years which ranges from 19 to 60 years
