Abstract:
Welding is a widely used method of connecting components because of its efficiency, great value and almost endless possibilities of join types. A great variability of geometrical configurations of welds is problematic due to the assessment of the weld joint. Depending on this topic this thesis was focused on the assessment of weld joints statically and cyclically. Work in the first part deals with the search of methods for evaluation of welds and depending on identified options is subsequently selected American standard AISC assessment of welded joints. The method is applied into FEA analysis and simple welded joints are evaluated. Using FEM are computed three examples on which a comparative analysis was performed. Comparisons were made with the analytical solution based on changes in the parameters of the computational model. The change is primarily related to material properties, mesh size and division of the weld on segments. On the basis of knowledge from analysis of simple joints, method was extended to more general welded joints with the possibility of determining the maximum loading force.

Abstract:
The project was developed within the engineering degree in engineering technology, and is focused in welding together of two different materials. Welds will be done on a high strength steel Domex 420 MC and deep drawing steel DC01 using laser welding, and will be compared with the method of electron beam welding. Part of this project is a scientific research describing the basic physical principles of both methods, different types of lasers, welding material properties and inspection of welds. In the experimental part was carried tensile test, macroscopic and microscopic examination. Finally, work is to evaluate the individual tests.

Diploma thesis is developed the design and static assessment supporting steel structure Exhibition Hall of the overall ground dimensions 47x66m with a maximum height of 15.4 meters. Layout is designed in accordance with architectural requirements. The design is considered for Brno´s area. The proposal of roof system is designed in two versions whose dimensions are identical. The first option consists of a two-aisle hall object, parabolic truss girder, pin supported on fixed columns. The second variant also two-aisle building with truss frame structure assessed in static calculation. At the end of the thesis, comparison of both variants is elaborated. Design documentation, which consist layout drawing, drawing of truss for manufacturing, drawing indicative details and plan of anchorage, is a part od thesis

Abstract:
The topic of the thesis is a project of roof of a multifunctional sport object with a ground-plan covering area 35x48m, and maximum height of 16m. This construction is projected for Brno and its surroundings. The project of roofing is evolved in two different variants. First one is formed by double-jointed arched latticed truss. Supporting components such as purlins, lateral and longitudal bracings, frontal column and anchorage are designed and assessed in static calculation. At the end of the thesis, comparison of both variants is elaborated. Design documentation, which consists of dispositional drawing, drawing of truss for manufacturing, drawing of indicative details and plan of anchorage, is a part of the thesis.

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a metalworking shed with its adjacent administrative center. Both objects are statically independent. The buildings are located in the town of Bučovice. The dimensions of the shed are 54,78x72,58 m. There is an overhead crane situated in the middle wing. The shed‘s height is +11,62 m. The administrative building has L-shaped plan. Its dimensions are 27,62x8,13 m (the wider part is 15,63 m). The design of the administrative object has two variants. Both variants have composite steel-concrete ceiling structure. The heights of the objects are +11,20 m (A variant) and +18,20 m (B variant). For the A variant, drawings were also drawn up with the design and assessment of structural details and anchoring.
