The distribution of the vast majority of web browsers is actively encouraged by their free use. This is a common practice of web browser developers, as it provides them with great opportunities for their distribution. The flip side of this process is the collection of personal data by web browser developers that the user does not control. The collected data is automatically transferred to leading IT companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Cloudflare, which collect, accumulate, process, and monetize the users’ data in an automated manner. This leads to the fact that any web browser user is pro

Browser fingerprint is often linked to privacy as it is a method to gather data about the browser's configuration to identify the user. The browser’s configurations, which are also known as attributes, are the keys to make the user to be identified. Web browsers explicitly disclose information about the host system to websites by making it available to them, such as attributes like the screen resolution, local time, or operating system (OS) version. Since each of the browsers has different attributes that make each unique, it is essential to understand the attributes well. This research paper

Visual analytics is a multidisciplinary field that involves using visual interfaces to facilitate analytical reasoning. Interactive visualization, a specific approach within visual analytics, refers to computational tools that store, process, and visually represent data, enabling users to explore the data interactively. This interactive nature of visualization enhances the potential for utilizing collected healthcare data and involves users in activities such as sense-making, knowledge discovery, and hypothesis generation, making them an active part of the process. Abstract In the project IoT for Supervision and Control of Water Systems (IoT.H2O) the potential of the Internet of Things concept for operating pump systems is investigated. As a result of the project, a pump test rig which can be controlled by an open source IoT platform was developed. Because of COVID 19 students are currently not able to access the test rig in their laboratory class. In the paper, a virtual pump test rig is presented. The model of the test rig is based on the physical IoT pump test rig and consists of models for pump, control valve, piping system and electric motor. By mod

The phenomenon of news games on the topic of the Russian-Ukrainian war of 2022-2023 has been explored in the article. During the research, a number of gaming projects from this period were analyzed, their genre and thematic specificity were determined, examples of gaming products were provided, and our own concept of a news game on the topical subject of wartime was presented. In 2022-2023, many game projects on the theme of the war in Ukraine appeared, which can be fully or partially classified as news games, conditionally dividing them into “civilian” ones, where the game character is a volu

Trees and shrubs are potentially important sources of food for livestock in many parts of the world, but their use is limited by tannins. Tannins reduce food intake by decreasing digestibility or by causing illness. Supplementing cattle, sheep, and goats with polyethylene glycol (PEG), which has a high affinity for binding tannins and thus attenuating their aversive effects, increases intake of high-tannin foods and improves weight gains and wool growth. The objectives of this proposal were: Objective 1: To further delineate the conditions under which PEG affects intake of high-tannin foods. O

From 16 years (2005–2020) of monitoring trends in white-tailed deer within a defined survey area of Arkansas Post National Memorial, we have been able to demonstrate both population declines and recoveries. The adjusted count of deer had a seven-fold increase between 2007 and 2011 following a two-year decline and a three-fold increase between 2017 and 2019 following a six-year decline. Overall, the deer population has declined slightly, averaging a 0.5% reduction in herd size annually. The number of deer in the survey area ranged from 16.77 ± 21.26 (mean + 95% CI) individuals/km2 in 2007 to 11

The Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network has monitored white-tailed deer over an 18-year period (2005–2022) within a defined survey area of Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, documenting both a rapid decline and recovery in the population. The rapid die-off was the result of a region-wide hemorrhagic disease outbreak reported by the Missouri Department of Conservation that started in the fall of 2005, six months after we initiated deer monitoring. Although declines occurred 2005 to 2007, 2016 to 2017, and 2019 to 2022, the deer population still increased on average by 7.2% annually. Th

This report presents baseline (2016–2019) results from Ungulate Management Plan (UMP) monitoring of sensitive and important wetlands at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve (GRSA) by the Rocky Mountain Network. At GRSA’s request we also include several management recommendations in the Discussion. Wetlands harbor disproportionately high levels of biodiversity and support iconic species like elk (Cervus canadensis) and bison (Bison bison). We develop Ungulate Use Indices (UUIs) from dung, collar, and camera trap data to quantify elk and bison use of wetlands. We estimate Wetland Conditio
