Abstract:
Precision multiple roller power transmissions are investigated in this work. These chains transfer significant power and move with very high velocity. They are subjected to variable loading with strong vibration and impact components, and require forced stream lubrication. Because of these severe working conditions, chain life is limited by the fatigue, and the chain plates are the weakest elements in many cases. It is shown that fatigue life is significantly decreased by fretting action, high stress concentration in the plates, and the impossibility of maintaining a uniform force distribution

Background: Within highly complex supply chain networks, driven by the trend of digitalization, supply chain relationship management becomes one of the central enablers in increasing supply chain performance. While the influences of globalization and digitalization on the supply chains are increasing, the power allocation within several markets is centralized to a small number of companies. The objective of this paper is to investigate the research gap concerning the impact of power asymmetries on the supply chain, in addition to the trend of digitalization. Contamination poses a significant threat to food supply chains, leading to public health crises, costly recalls, food waste and damage to brand reputation. Traceability technology offers a potential solution by allowing companies to identify the source of contamination and respond effectively, thus minimising financial losses. However, its success hinges on widespread adoption across the entire food supply network. A study by Lingxiu Dong and team highlights the challenge posed by opportunistic behaviours among supply chain members, which can undermine the advantages of traceability.1 For inst

Abstract The conformations and dynamic behaviors of wormlike chains confined by a slit in a pressure-driven flow were investigated using dissipative particle dynamics method. The wormlike chains exhibit varying conformations due to the varying shear stresses across the slit. The wormlike chain solution can be well described by the power-law fluid, and the power-law index decreases with the increase in chain rigidity. We also presented that the wormlike chain undergoes tumbling motion in the vicinity of the wall in the presence of pressure-driven flow. We also found that the wormlike chains can

Managing supply chain relations has evolved over a decade and many companies have given importance to regulate their relations in supply chain relations to stay competitive in the market. In this context of adjusting relations among supply chain members, central point of discussion is the role of power. Power can be a component that persuades one member of supply chain to do certain things that he/she wouldn’t agree on doing it voluntarily. The implication of that power among supply chain members is called as power relations. These power relations between the supply chain members need to be su

To achieve this, first the supply chain configuration of a power plant is presented and a nonlinear model is developed and solved to maximize its overall value.
