Abstract:
ABSTRACT Observational estimates of the lifetimes and inferred accretion rates from debris discs around polluted white dwarfs are often inconsistent with the predictions of models of shielded Poynting–Robertson drag on the dust particles in the discs. Moreover, many cool polluted white dwarfs do not show any observational evidence of accompanying discs. This may be explained, in part, if the debris discs had shorter lifetimes and higher accretion rates than predicted by Poynting–Robertson drag alone. We consider the role of a magnetic field on tidally disrupted diamagnetic debris and its subse

Abstract:
Let us consider the orbital problem in which a particle is subject to the force (per unit mass)The force consists of the Newtonian two body attraction term and a drag part which is linear in both components of velocity (radial vr and transverse vt). Depending on a physical interpretation of the parameters μ and α, as well as on the particular choice of the dimensionless constant γ, the model (1) can match various two body problems with dissipation. They include the classical Poynting-Robertson effect (Robertson, 1936) with γ = 1, Poynting’s (1903) version with γ = ½ and the two body drag cases

Abstract:
The work performed in this research proposes to develop a dynamical evolution model of dust particles smaller than 0.1 mm, coming from the Main Belt, until they reach Mercury in order to obtain the micrometeoroid flux directly without any extrapolation. The results obtained by means of this model take issue with those given by Cintala in his article, that is the reference author in this field. In particular, the main results are that the Cintala flux, expressed in terms of mass is 407.8 times lower. This comparison yields that our model estimates a number of impacts smaller than Cintala, but
