Abstract:
Aim: To analyze whether instructions for authors of biomedical conference abstracts mention guidelines for writing randomized controlled trial and systematic review abstracts and to evaluate reasons for their absence from instructions. Materials & methods: We analyzed instructions for authors of biomedical conferences advertized in 2019 and assessed whether they mentioned Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Abstracts and Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials for Abstracts guidelines. We surveyed contact persons from abstract/publication committees of selected conferences to analyze why relevant guidelines were missing. Results: Instructions for abstracts were available for 819 conferences. Only two (0.2%) had reporting instructions for randomized controlled trial/systematic review authors. Almost half of the contacted conference organizers whose response we received were not aware of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Abstracts and Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials for Abstracts guidelines. Conclusion: Conference organizers do not require and are not familiar enough with reporting guidelines.

Abstract:
This review of reviews aimed to evaluate the reporting quality of published systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the field of sports physical therapy using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. This review of reviews included a literature search; in total, 2047 studies published between January 2015 and December 2020 in the top three journals related to sports physical therapy were screened. Among the 125 identified articles, 47 studies on sports physical therapy were included in the analysis (2 systematic reviews and 45 meta-analyses). There were several problems areas, including a lack of reporting for key components of the structured summary (10/47, 21.3%), protocol and registration (18/47, 38.3%), risk of bias in individual studies (28/47, 59.6%), risk of bias across studies (24/47, 51.1%), effect size and variance calculations (5/47, 10.6%), additional analyses (25/47, 53.2%), and funding (10/47, 21.3%). The quality of the reporting of systematic reviews and meta-analyses of studies on sports physical therapy was low to moderate. For better evidence-based practice in sports physical therapy, both authors and readers should examine assumptions in more detail, and report valid and adequate results. The PRISMA guideline should be used more extensively to improve reporting practices in sports physical therapy.

Abstract:
Construction Progress Monitoring (CPM) is a significant aspect of project management aimed to align planned design with the actual construction on site, the process ensures that the project is well within the control of the stakeholders involved and ensures the project is completed complying with the construction documents, on time, and within budget. Despite how central progress monitoring is to attaining project success and advances in technology, the progress monitoring is majorly implemented manually, which requires manual retrieving and processing of site data to compare with the planned design. This manual process is both time-consuming and prone to errors. Automating the task of progress monitoring involving real-time data acquisition and timely information retrieval can assist the project managers for effective decision making to the successful delivery of the project. Thus, the objective of this research was to assess the impact of computer vision (CV) – based progress monitoring as a driver for effective decision-making in project management. A qualitative methodology was implemented for this research using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) to review and analyze studies on the application of computer vision (CV). The study reviews studies of CV based CPM process, highlighting its benefits against the traditional method of progress and the limitation to its adoption. Research findings from this paper provide an increased understanding and have a broader scope on the application of computer vision-based progress monitoring

Abstract:
AbstractArm support is a typical assistive technology device to assist shoulder and elbow movements in those with reduced upper extremity muscle strength due to neurological lesions. Recently, the assisting method, range, and manipulation method of arm support are also changing with the development of technology. Accordingly, an assessment system is required for appropriate matching and measuring the effectiveness in the clinical field. This study examines the direction of the assessment process by analyzing studies that measured the effectiveness of arm support through a systematic literature review. The databases were collected using Embase, CINAHL Plus with Full text, Web of Science, and Scopus. 19 studies were selected according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) flow chart. Most studies have been conducted on people with neuromuscular disorders. Assessment area included performance, function, usability, satisfaction, and psychosocial impact. And more than half of the studies measured performance and function. There were various assessment methods to measure the effectiveness including assessment tools, kinematics, physical examination, questionnaire, observation, and EMG, with assessment tools accounting for more than half of the studies. Most studies have set up assessment environments based on tasks related to ADLs and IADLs to measure the effectiveness. Currently, various methods such as assessment tools and kinematics were applied to measure the effectiveness of arm support. The assessment tool was used the most among them. However, assistive technology-based assessment tools are extremely limited. Therefore, it is required to develop an assessment tool centered on assistive technology based on performance related to ADL and IADL in the future.

In Agricultural Economics and Climate Change. Nobel Tip Kitabevleri, 2024. http://dx.doi.org/10.69860/nobel.9786053359432.11.

Abstract:
Carbon pricing is a broad phrase for strategies that price CO2 emissions to modify behavior and reduce emissions. Also, it is an economic strategy that utilizes a market system to trade emission allowances. The methods have the potential to effectively reduce emissions in different sectors. The agriculture sector poses distinct problems and opportunities for mitigation. Agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions mostly comprise non-CO2 gases, particularly methane and nitrous oxide, which originate from crop cultivation and livestock operations. The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the hypothetical introduction of a carbon tax on agricultural product markets, specifically examining the environmental advantages and economic consequences. The study used a bibliometric analysis methodology that utilized the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework to aid in the identification of relevant papers. The findings indicate that the carbon tax is likely to lead to significant changes in the agricultural sector. It is important to note that the carbon tax will lead to an increase in agricultural production costs, which will then be reflected in the prices of products. As a consequence, A carbon tax can help protect the environment by encouraging organic farming and other low-emission ways of making things. However, it may exacerbate serious economic and social issues, particularly in low-income countries. It is important to consider developing policy recommendations and solutions that are tailored to different regions to effectively manage and mitigate the effects of carbon taxes in the agricultural sector.

Abstract:
This systematic literature review examines the relationship between Connectedness to Nature (CN) and Pro-Environmental Behaviors (PEB). Considering the worsening climate change and the current climate emergency, pro-environmental behavior has gained significant attention in the literature. PEBs aim to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive impacts on the environment. Researchers have focused on connectedness to nature as a potential driver of pro-environmental behavior. However, there is no universally agreed definition of this construct, which can be understood as a profound connection with nature. The review of the literature was carried out by the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis). To access the literature we consulted Google Scholar, PubMed, Sociological Abstracts, PsycArticles, PsycInfo, Science Direct, and Academic Search Complete databases, inserting as keywords: "connectedness to nature" and "pro-environmental behavior". The search returned 2,280 results after duplicate removal. Of these 2,280 total results only 29 articles were selected based on the following inclusion criteria: (1) indexed articles on the selected databases (2) publication date until July 2022, (3) empirical study, (4) published in journals, conference proceedings, or as a Master’s degree or Doctoral thesis, (5) written in English or Italian, (6) Two keywords had to be present in the abstract: "connectedness to nature" and "pro-environmental behavior", (7) the studies had to evaluate the relationship between connectedness to nature and pro-environmental behavior. The reported results have clearly shown the presence of a significant and positive relationship between CN and PEB, however with great variability. On average, individual PEBs were more strongly associated with CN than activism PEBs.

Abstract:
Abstract Most African countries rely on food imports and cannot feed their populations. The most vulnerable region to chronic food insecurity is sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) where agriculture is mainly rainfed and therefore threatened by climate change and variability. Irrigation is one of the main solutions for stabilizing yields and reinforcing food security, yet it is underdeveloped in most parts of Africa. However, irrigation consumes the largest amount of water than the other sectors; thus, exploring and implementing ways of producing more yield per unit volume of water is necessary. To counter food insecurity and improve agricultural water management, the African Union (AU) developed a framework for irrigation development and agricultural water management (IDAWM) to be adopted in all the member states in the continent. This framework is premised on four development pathways, namely, improved water control and watershed management in rainfed farming, farmer-led irrigation development (FLID), irrigation scheme development and modernization and the use of unconventional water for irrigation. Therefore, this review sought to assess the status, challenges, and opportunities of IDAWM in Rwanda. The systematic review adopted the PRISMA-P (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols). The results indicated that Rwanda has adopted various strategies such as terraces, contour bunds, and water harvesting to address soil erosion and improve water storage. Irrigation is practised in three ways: marshland, hillside, and small-scale irrigation technologies, which are faced with several challenges, such as land use policy and inadequate participation, which hinder progress in FLID. Inadequate private sector involvement hinders investment in the modernization of irrigation schemes in Rwanda. Inadequate sewerage and wastewater treatment infrastructure limits wastewater reuse in irrigation. The bright spots are anchored in sound and progressive agricultural policy, abundant water resources, favourable climatic and ecological conditions and a ready regional market.

Abstract:
Objective: To synthesize the findings presented in systematic reviews and meta-analyses as well as to update the evidence using a meta-analysis in evaluating the efficacy and safety of CQ and HCQ with or without Azithromycin for the treatment of COVID-19 infection. Methods: The design of this meta-review followed the preferred reporting items for overviews of systematic reviews including harms checklist (PRIO-harms). A comprehensive search included several electronic databases in identifying all systematic reviews and meta-analyses as well as experimental studies which investigated the efficacy and safety of CQ, HCQ with or without antibiotics as COVID-19 treatment. Findings from the systematic reviews and metaanalyses were reported using a structured summary including tables and forest plots. The updated metaanalyses of experimental studies was carried out using the distributional assumption-free quality effects model. Risk of bias was assessed using the assessing the methodological quality of systematic reviews (AMSTAR) tool for reviews and the methodological standard for epidemiological research (MASTER) scale for the experimental studies. The main outcome for both the meta-review and the updated metaanalyses was mortality. Secondary outcomes included transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU) or mechanical ventilation, worsening of illness, viral clearance and the occurrence of adverse events. Results: A total of 13 reviews with 40 primary studies comprising 113,000 participants were included. Most of the primary studies were observational (n=27) and the rest were experimental studies. Two meta-analyses reported a high risk of mortality with similar ORs of 2.5 for HCQ with Azithromycin. However, four other metaanalyses reported contradictory results with two reporting a high risk of mortality and the other two reporting no significant association between HCQ with mortality. Most reviews reported that HCQ with or without Azithromycin had no significant effect on virological cure, disease exacerbation or the risk of transfer to the ICU, need for intubation or mechanical ventilation. After exclusion of studies that did not meet the eligibility criteria, the updated meta-analysis contained eight experimental studies (7 RCTs and 1 quasiexperimental trial), with a total of 5279 participants of whom 1856 were on either CQ/HCQ or combined with Azithromycin. CQ/HCQ with or without Azithromycin was significantly associated with a higher risk of adverse events. HCQ was not effective in reducing mortality transfer to the ICU, intubation or need for mechanical ventilation virological cure (RR 1.0, 95%CI 0.9-1.2, I2 =55%, n=5 studies) nor disease exacerbation (RR 1.2, 95%CI 0.3-5.0, I2 =29%, n=3 studies). Conclusion: There is conclusive evidence that CQ and HCQ, with or without Azithromycin are not effective in treating COVID-19 or its exacerbation.

Abstract:
A circular economy (CE) model provides an opportunity for the construction industry (CI) to keep the end-of-life materials in a closed loop with their maximum value while advocating the reduction of significant waste generation and natural resource extraction for the built environment. While previous studies in different geographical regions have been individually carried out on investigating the government engagement in the CE, no solitary study exists that holistically focus upon the role of government that steers the CI towards a CE. With this concern, the objectives of the current study are twofold. First, to investigate the roles through which the government contributes to implementing CE in the CI. Second, it outlines the potential research directions for future researchers to expand the domain under study. To achieve these objectives, a systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted based on the review protocol, Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). A total of 125 articles available in four search engines from 2002 to 2020 were incorporated for both descriptive and content analysis. Most articles (19) were published in the year 2019, and China is the dominant country for publishing most of the articles in the area under study. The study found that the government influences the CE in the CI by playing four significant roles: regulating, subsidizing, encouraging and informing. Herein, the government should play these four roles jointly with the amalgamation of government agencies, research institutions and nongovernment associations. The article concludes by outlining the future research priorities to advance the understanding in the domain under study. The value of the study is that it explores an overlooked area in the existing literature while providing a direction for the CI practitioners to understand the government role in paving the path to a CE. Keywords: Built environment, Circular economy (CE), Construction industry (CI), Government, Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), Systematic literature review (SLR)

Abstract:
This study examines Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) tools and their application for learning English speaking skills. The research method was reviewed through Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) by identifying, screening, and including related studies. It spans the studies from the years 2019 to 2024 that used IPAs as keywords. The findings show that Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri are IPAs being used. They provide a platform for practicing, motivating, and encouraging others to speak English. However, the studies are limited in Japan and Taiwan since English is identified as a foreign language there. Moreover, teachers and students should be familiar with and ensure possible technical problems while using IPAs in the classroom. Then, it is important to conduct further research on this topic due to limited relevant resources.

Abstract:
Human emotions are within-person factors that function as a stimulus of an individual’s attitude and behaviour, either positively or negatively. From the organisational behaviour spectrum, concern over negative behaviour like Counterproductive Work Behaviour (CWB) is more prevalent due to tremendous negative effects on both employees and organisations. Although the impact of the affective states on CWB was empirically evident, there was an insufficient study that systematically reviewed the literature on such association. Hence, the present article adopts the PRISMA guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses) by integrating multiple research designs to investigate the emotional experiences-CWB phenomenon. The relevant literature review was selected from two established databases, Scopus and Web of Science. Based on the thematic analysis, two main themes (i.e., negative and positive affect) emerged as predictors of CWB at work. Subsequently, the sub-themes of discrete emotions were discussed as part of the study findings. In addition, this study comprehensively explained the significance of affective states on CWB. As a result, the study offers valuable insight into the body of knowledge and practical implementation for future strategies. The key takeaway is that creating more positive events and eliminating negative events are expected to be beneficial in elevating employees’ emotional well-being, hence reducing CWB occurrence.

Abstract:
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are crucial in global economic growth, job creation, and innovation. However, many SMEs, particularly in developing regions, continue to face challenges that hinder their growth, and the contribution of social resource orchestration to SME growth has not been adequately investigated. This systematic review synthesises the research stream to clarify the impact of social resource orchestration on SME growth and its mechanisms. The studies were evaluated using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. Results indicate that most studies were conducted in the Global South, particularly in Africa and Asia. The studies consistently highlight the importance of social resource orchestration in shaping SME growth. Social networks, including relationships with customers, partners, and financial institutions, positively influence various SME outcomes, such as business growth, innovation, and economic performance, with effect sizes showing moderate to strong positive associations. However, direct links to SME growth were implied rather than explicitly stated. This analysis signals that while social networks are valued for improving performance metrics, the pathway to sustained growth through social resource orchestration requires further research. Addressing this gap could clarify how specific orchestration strategies support SMEs' growth.

Abstract:
Background: Emotional processing involves the ability of the individual to infer emotional information. There is no consensus about how Alzheimer’s disease (AD) affects emotional processing. Objective: We aim to systematically review the impact of AD on emotion processing Method: We conducted a search based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The literature search was performed using the electronic databases MEDLINE (Pubmed) and Science Citation Index (ISI). The following descriptors were used in the review process: emotion or emotional processing, cognition or cognitive functions and Alzheimer disease or Alzheimer’s disease. This systematic review was recorded in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) under the number CRD42018115891. Results: We identified 425 articles, 19 of which met our criteria. Visual emotional stimuli were the most used among studies. Most studies used tasks of emotional naming, discrimination, identification and correspondence. The results were contradictory. Many studies reported that individuals with AD were impaired on emotional perception tasks, while others results reported preserved skills. The relationship between emotional processing and cognition is also unclear. Some studies suggested that general cognitive performance affects performance in emotional perception tasks among people with AD, but other studies have shown deficits in recognizing emotion, regardless cognitive performance. Conclusions: Studies are scarce, present contradictory results, and report impairment in emotional processing in relation to cognition. Moreover, analyzes of correlation between emotion processing and cognitive functioning failed to reveal clear relationships.

Abstract:
The rapid development of automated vehicles offers the promising development of driver-vehicle interaction and cooperation. Trust is an important concept to consider for the future implementation of autonomous driving. An inappropriate level of trust can lead drivers to under-trust and reject the system's potential benefits or allow drivers to over-trust and abuse it. Therefore, autonomous vehicles need an appropriate level of trust for drivers to experience the full benefits of autonomous driving. This paper reports a systematic review of the literature to analyse the critical role of trust and also discusses various methods of evaluating the trust between drivers and automated vehicles to promote the use of autonomous driving on the ground. The review surveyed the trust in automated vehicles and followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. First, the importance of trust in increasing the acceptance of autonomous driving is investigated. Second, the factors influencing drivers' trust in autonomous driving are grouped and presented. The analysis focuses on individual driver characteristics, automated vehicles and the driving environment, such as driver preference, driving automation system and driving scenarios. Finally, the methodologies to measure trust in autonomous driving are reviewed and analysed. The key measurement indicators include questionnaires, physiological signals such as eye gaze, head and body postures, etc. and psychological signals such as electroencephalogram (EEG).This study is expected to summarise the factors that influence trust and to find reliable and replicable methods to measure trust. The results show that the influence of different factors on trust varies considerably. Currently, questionnaires are the most commonly used subjective measurement method, while psychophysiological measures are a promising objective complement and attract increasing investigations.

Abstract:
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate options for tissue expander and permanent implant and know the main indications, complications, effects on adjuvant treatment, impact on quality of life, and cost-effectiveness of each one. Methods: A systematic review was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses (PRISMA) statement. For the identification of articles on the topic, PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane databases were searched from 2000 to 2021, and only English terms were used. The inclusion criteria were as follows: meta-analyses, systematic reviews, randomized or nonrandomized clinical trials, and observational studies. The analysis of the studies was descriptive. Results: The initial search in the databases identified 65 articles, and after reviewing the inclusion criteria, 32 studies were available. According to relevance, 20 studies were excluded due to unavailability of the full text or irrelevance for the study purpose. Twelve articles were included with an average of 1068 patients per study. The studies were heterogeneous with results mostly favorable for reconstruction at a stage with permanent implant. Conclusion: Singlestage breast reconstruction is a promising strategy with acceptable complication rates and the described advantages. Post-mastectomy radiotherapy increases complications. Finally, studies are still heterogeneous, both in terms of methodologies and results, so it is not possible to extrapolate information without bias.
