Full textExploiting a field enquiry (observation of lessons of the 8th and 10th grade - interviews of students of the 9th and 11th grade), this work is focused on the modes of teaching and learning the ancien regime society and the XIXth century society in France. It is based upon the didactical approaches asserting the autonomy of school knowledge ("discipline scolaire" by A. Chervel, "modèle disciplinaire" by F. Audigier). The social representations underlying the lessons and the teenagers' understanding are studied in their elements and their didactical part : component of social memory, they make easier the exchanges between teachers and students. The values, the relation to historical time, the links between past and present, are considered. The analysis of the language used by teachers and students, and particularly the place devoted to concepts, set out the main part of common sense. At last, the analysis of the lessons show that the standard of a quick and fluent dialogue, always directed by the teacher, answers to the constraints of school teaching but conducts to a closed and heterogeneous text. Didactical interaction so imposes to create a knowledge text irreducible to scholar knowledge, even dressed to be taught. Taken for realistic and true, the school text is an authoritative one, and induces the teenagers' adherence both to school history and to a certain understanding of social facts

Full textThis theisis aims at renewing the didactics of malagasy grammar, a subject that disappeared from the curriculum around ten years ago. This situation invites consideration to be taken of the selection of contents to be taught and to strategies to get this over. We have set ourselves two aims : to contribute to the development of malagasy grammar and to adapt it to the teaching situation. We strive to forge a link between linguistic research and practical teaching. The first part deals with the linguistic functioning of malagasy, focussing on those elements that play a direct role in teaching grammar. This leads on to clarifying the levels of analysis necessary to enable someone to handle the language correctly. Detailed studies of linguistic phenomena allow the pupil to widen his verbal repertoire, enabling him to express himself in a variety of situations. Teachers can draw from our description of malagasy and select those linguistic materials which they can use for their teaching. These tools make it possible to work out a curriculum based on both the learners' age and the functioning of the language. The second part concerns the content, reuse and summary evaluation of knowledge in order to consolidate pupils' language skills. The method used is inductive, and invites the pupils to manipulate the language in different ways

Full textThis research consists in an attempt to diagnose pedagogical training and to suggest an active process whereby initial pedagogical training can be planned and systematically monitored. Based on a criticism of the mis-adapted and infantile aspects of the present state of the art, this research suggests the method for a new type of training setting itself in contrast with the traditional conception. This implies an analysis of needs and means and a definition of the objectives and contents linked to a set of conditions necessary to enhance autonomy and independence. Accordingly, it becomes imperious to modify the structures within the pedagogical spaces and the curricula. This aim at rational processing will meet with resistance to innovation, which requires the parallel preparation of continuous training and dialogue, both being based upon an organised and tested research-action. The inquiries have undergone statistical treatment with mathematical verification. An adequate bibliography comes together with the 2 volumes of text and adjoined documents
