The diploma thesis is focused to an adaptive re-use of buildings for cultural purposes, especially for cultural centres. The thesis depicts in short the benefits of conversion, the influence of heritage protection, offers a brief insight into the management, basic sources of funding and programming of adapted cultural spaces. There are also listed examples of good practice of various types of re-used buidings in different countries and under various conditions. The thesis mentions broad range of cultural centres located in industrial factories to churches or stone-pits. The selected examples illustrates the process as well as map the current challlenge opening in the field. A general idea of this work was to create a practical handbook for the journey of building?s adaptive re-use.

The theses discuss the issue of photographing a specific place which is closely related to the spaces of all kinds and to architecture. It is limited to the so called ?no name architecture? that does not have a known author ? mainly common houses and utility buildings but also specific places in the countryside or in a city such as gardens or parking lots. The emphasis is on the connection between the space and its photographic representation. It is demonstrated in the work of particular authors. It explores the questions of making a photographic picture of a space, author´s choice and their influence on the result as well as the impression the particular photographs leave in their viewers. The main idea of this paper is to offer an overview of basic approaches to photographing places that have been used since the 60s of 20th century till present.

RECREATION POTENTIAL OF PUBLIC SPACES OF PANEL DISTRICT IN SLOVAKIA This task discuss about relation between natural place potential and how place influence regeneration of public spaces to create live and usefull spaces for dwellers. In literary overview this task disscus about different kinds of recreation, which every dveller can do in public spaces of our panel districts, than about regeneration of publick spaces and types of living spaces, which exist in panel districts. The important element of this task was evaluate contemporary conditions of publick spaces in Slovak nanel districkts, if it possible to use them and what is their activity range, because natural givennes of panel districts markedly enfluent oportunities and ways how to regenerate spaces for recreation. I made two evaluations, which are aimed at of panel districts recreation atraction for dwellers. The second evaluation searched public spaces of panel districts in detail, their conditions and use range of dwellers. On base of these evaluations I created four recreation potential categhories of panels districts and we tried to find the infuence of this recreation potential to creating of public spaces. On the base of our results from choosed panel districts we found out, that panel districts, which care about their natural givennes are more often used by dwellers, than panel districts which created new artificial public spaces. Based on this results I confirmed my hypothesis. Use of this task is in many ways, in theoretical way as base for next searching of panel districts regeneration. In practical way it can be used as regeneration tool

The work contains a brief overview of some modern unmanned aerial systems and later their capabilities of integration into controlled airspace in Europe. It discusses the current legislation dealing with different areas of integration of UAS and the update and developing process of legislation. Another section deals with the exploration of the possibilities of using unmanned aircraft in the commercial sector and their impact on the existing air transportation. The last section is devoted to the technical aspects associated with the integration of UAS into controlled areas. It describes the current systems of the CNS and their possible development in conjunction with UAVs and also a significant part of the work is devoted to the technology of the S&A (Sense and Avoid). During the entire work is gradually evaluate the current situation of the operation of UAS and are designed and recommended necessary changes that will need to be perform to their successful integration into the controlled airspace.

The thesis discusses the transformation of southern European countries, Italy and Spain, from traditionally countries of emigration into countries of immigration. It starts from historical migration flows which result in so-called Mediterranean model of immigration characteristic for the region in the last two decades. The paper analyses the composition of immigrants in both countries, focusing on the ethnic composition, the motives of residence and employment status compared with overall employment in the EU context. Since the south European countries concerned are significantly affected by inflows of migrants by sea in recent years, the thesis also focuses on problematic areas of the Mediterranean, detention centers and cooperation with source countries. The main aim of this work is to analyze how these two countries handle the phenomenon of immigration and what recourse did they choose in creating their own immigration policies towards both legal and illegal immigration. The second objective is then to bring some comparison of the two countries in the approaches to integration of immigrants.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to draw attention to possibilities of presentation of arts in the public space and its benefit for Arts and cultural organisations marketing. The thesis concentrates on the area of Statutory city of Brno and provides both evaluation of benefits of selected implemented events and results of my own marketing research. In the introductory part of the thesis, there are some important theoretical expresions and contexts explained. Furtheremore, there are described possibilities of elimination of barriers of both the access and approach of the public to arts through their presentation in the public space. An important part of the thesis deals with presentation of arts in the space of shopping centre Galerie Vaňkovka Brno and provides particular examples which demonstrate benefits of cooperation of a shopping centre with individual artists or cultural institutions. The most significant point of the thesis is the marketing research conducted among visitors to Galerie Vaňkovka. On the sample of 200 respondents I examined how the visitors to Galerie Vaňkovka perceive presentation of arts in the space of shopping centre. The conclusion which I reached is that presentation of arts in such spaces can support significantly the marketing of arts and cultural institutions.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to review the position of the Russian Federation in the post-Soviet area by means of the analysis of the Russian foreign policy in this region after the year 2000. The first chapter identifies the theoretical and methodological basis applied in the diploma thesis. The second chapter deals with the formulation of the Russian foreign policy after the dissolution of the USSR and its development in the 1990s. Subsequently, the third chapter contains the analysis of the Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet area after the year 2000 based on four levels of analysis -- the international system level, the state level, the domestic influences level and the individual level. The forth chapter focuses on the analysis of the bilateral relations between Russia and post-Soviet republics on the other hand. With the aim to illustrate different approaches used in the Russian foreign policy in relation to various post-Soviet republics, the examples of Georgia and Armenia have been chosen. The last chapter provides the features of the Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet area after the year 2008 in the light of the Foreign policy concept of the Russian Federation published in 2008.

The area of sport policy is in the political science a marginal issue, although the Czech public considers this as an important policy. The paper deals with the mutual relationships among sport, politics and civil society. The primary goal of this thesis is the analysis of the current sport policy and its stakeholders in the Czech Republic. The main text is divided into three chapters. The first one consists of theoretical part and deals with the theory of civil society, public policy and the issues of interest intermediation. The second chapter draws attention to the basic attributes of sport such as emergence, division and in particular the importance of sport for social relations. The last third chapter focuses mainly on the analysis of interests, priorities and goals of political parties and interest groups -- sports and physical education civil associations in the area of sports and physical activities. The end of the third chapter outlines the current problems and perspectives of sport and sport policy in the Czech Republic.

The diploma thesis deals with multicriterial analysis in geographic information systems. Multricriterial decision making is applied in locality of Nový Lískovec and deals with problems connected with housing in panel block of flats located in this locality. The main aim of the thesis is use right method for multicriterial evaluation of this locality by the most important criteria for housing, graphical expression of these factors by GIS and assessment and evaluation the best variants resulting from specific values of criteria. In the thesis is subsequently addressed issue of GIS, multicriterial decision making, locality of Nový Lískovec, collection of input documents and process of spatial analysis. The thesis points out at the application GIS for estate agencies or others organizations providing housing offers and graphical displaying the best variants based on a many search-housing criteria.

In the area with a strong past where river Flon was covered with 3 horizontal platforms and changed into industrial area there is now a new cultural center of the city growing. Our diploma thesis is a proposal to transform one of the blocks into a municipal library of Lausanne. The library is conceived as two objects turned towards each other with even and silk double glass facade as if it was one object sliced into two. It creates an exterior space in the system of whole platform. Interior is a system of bigger spaces, where you can go to light, and smaller spaces, where you can go for silent and concentration.

This thesis examines the topic of determining spatial relations between crane tracks and the processing of measured data. Before the measurements were made, the precision of the measuring equipment being used was determined in order to increase the accuracy of the results in ascertaining spatial relations. The cyclic error, additive constant, and difference between the reflecting target and prism were all determined in measuring distances. In the context of this thesis we observed the spatial parameters of crane tracks in the hall of Mostarna, which is a part of the business KRALOVOPOLSKA a.s..

The thesis is based on monitoring how one represents, creating an environment, how one completes it, or how the human environment is created. When we ask ourselves what our home means for us, we knew we could give it the shape of space. We could describe it as a place where we like to be. Some questions arise. If there is any idea of living at home, if it is as personal, how does each of us perceive home in his intimacy as well? How did it become the architecture itself? The goal of the work is to translate the understanding of the home through a specific situation. I choose a village in Slovakia, Čechynce, which has more than 1000 inhabitants. The architectural design itself does not adapt to the creation of a home as a house. He wants to point out that the home is not in an isolated system of walls, but in an ability of distence and in a chance to return again.

This diploma thesis is dedicated to design of the sports center and its integration into the urban structure of the city. In previous analyzes, the Sokol architecture and its typology have been examined in detail. One of the aims of the diploma thesis is to verify final hypotheses resulting from the analysis and apply them to the context of today. The project proposal takes into consideration existing built-up area around the plot, its potential, topography and also the complex traffic situation in the area. The solution is to divide the area by a mitigative traffic artery into two segments. In the northern segment there are functions of administration, accommodation and public greenery, in the southern segment there is a sport center linked to existing sports halls.

The topic of my thesis is living in the old Brno in the cadastral area of Old Brno . Currently selected area on the map of brownfiedlu of Brno and the question of his fate has become a hot topic. For the design of a successful revitalization area is necessary to think not only the local context , but also over the issue of sustainable development across the board , in the context of the current situation in the company and its vision of the future . Therefore, in my thesis I try to answer the upcoming questions . 1 / What today is sustainability ? 2 / As , influenced by the ideas of sustainability , access to urban planning ? 3 / Which new role and function should be proposed territory ? 4 / As a suggestion area involved in the existing urban structure ? 5 / How to turn onset territory in a sustainable , vibrant and healthy urban structure ? In spatial planning , I emphasized in terms of sustainable development into two functions . On the one hand, promote the development and direction needed to remove the obstacles . On the other hand, to protect the natural and cultural values of the area , which are irreplaceable and non-renewable . Both tasks I tried to balance because of slipping into one extreme, could block the necessary economic and social development or, conversely, to promote development without hindrance , while I was forced to sacrifice irreplaceable natural and cultural assets . There are more models of sustainable urban forms , but some feature are common . I decided in its proposal to create a compact urban structure with multiple functions and interconnection network of streets with the support of the public transport system , quality control environment and a high level of local government and the incorporation of green with the use of passive solar gains .

Area of interest is located next to the ring road of Brno and between Koliště, Cejl, Vlhká and Křenová streets. Main prerequisites for the design were moving of the railway station to the „Južné centrum“ and at the same time keeping the original path of the viaduct running through the area. This allows to change the function and create a pedestrian and cycling path . It was necessary to create a new profile of the ring road, 30 m wide, and keep the character of the street by using adequate scale to the buildings. According to these conditions, office buildings from 6 to 8 storeys high with comercial use in the ground floor were designed to increase the atractivness of the promenade. The block of office buildings is integrated with a Visual arts centre, which is located at the connection of viaduct and the ring road and closes the block structure. Mass of the object decreases from the ring road to create a system of terraces available from interior, and public spaces available from the ground level and viaduct. Creating a public space on viaduct allowes us to connect the building with it. Decreasing of the mass and two level public spaces divides the object to two wings. The first wing includes the Visual arts center itself, with its exhibiton spaces, library and management and the other wing hosts offices and studios for young artists.

The waterfronts of major rivers play an important role in the development of settlements. On the territory of Slovakia, however, there are many more small flows whose potential remains unused. It also includes the river Domanižanka, which forms one of the main urban axes of Považská Bystrica and is a significant element of the whole region. At present, it is designed for a flood flow with a trough recessed into supporting stone - concrete walls. In the built-up area of the city, this river flows through a diverse territory. In my diploma thesis I focus on six spaces with their own atmosphere and varying degrees of intimacy. These spaces lie along the flow on the busy line of the main city center with its local center at the SNP. To these spaces I assign a certain character, or, on the contrary, I support the existing one. I respect the existing values of places and I try to integrate their interventions into parts. The basis of the proposal is to create an adequate pedestrian and cycling link between these sites with regard to the quality of the individual stories of these places. Where water still represents the primary element of shared viability between nature and its inhabitants, humans. Water as a basic condition for the existence of life. Water as one of the elements, used to regenerate the body and the soul. To cleanse the city and the place.

The thesis is focused on geographic information systems and geographic data analyses tools. Examples of spatial analyses and tools for their creation are presented in ArcGIS at work. The main goal was to create a simulation camera system in the 3D urban model and to create spatial analyzes resulting in the camera's field of vision being intersected with the 3D model of the city. The result is 3D visualization, which shows the range of camera shooting areas. The results obtained were evaluated at the end.

The topic of this master thesis is the elaboration of the project documentation of the new construction of a multifunctional building of the registered office of the company. New building is situated on the land in Ružomberok in the area intended for production and warehouse function. The proposed facility represents the background for a company that is a leading supplier of spare car parts. The building consists of a three floors with a partial basement. 1.PP and the part of 1.NP are storage areas. The rest of the first overhead floor is the shop. The second floor represents the administrative part of the business. The last, third floor, has 3 corporate apartments of various inclinations. The object is based on the concrete strip foundations. The structural system uses the ceramic blocks of type Therm. The walls of the basement are made of a concrete structural system. The ceilings of the building are designed as cast-in-place reinforced slabs. Screed to fall of the flat roof is thermal insulation and the finish is made of pea gravel.

The main goal of this master's thesis is to research different approaches of rendering geometries and spaces in virtual reality. Learn more about the terms, non-Euclidean geometry and non-Euclidean spaces, their origin and different principles used in video game industry to simulate such geometries or spaces. Based on the research, a selection of an optimal API is needed for the implementation of such application. Application is designed to run on desktop computers with Microsoft Windows operating system. Application, in it's core, is a video game and the main goal of the player is to successfully complete each and every level of the game. These levels are designed in a specific way so that they each individually represent some form of non-Euclidean geometry or space.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a city block on brownfield areas in the Trnitá district of Brno. The aim was to make the most out of the land, minimize motor traffic and create objects with different functions (housing, administration, amenities, services) will be mixed. The main part of the whole area will be the Ponávka river, which will take advantage of the great potential of the watercourse, thus creating a quality public space for recreation. The principles of multiplicity and porosity have been used to design - from the maximum land abandonment, the mass was gradually taken away to create apartment houses, administrative areas, a common parcel with civic amenities and a walkable green roofs.

The subject of this thesis is to work out the project documentation for a residential building with commercial spaces in cadastral area of Trenčianske Stankovce, part Malé Stankovce. Residential building with commercial spaces is divided into two architecturally connected units. Residential building consists of one underground and three floors. Commercial spaces are designed as a fitness center with the underground floor. The floor plan of this complex is designed in the shape of a letter V. Construction system is longitudinal, wall made. Vertical supporting structures of the house are mainly made by the system POROTHERM. Other vertical and horizontal structures are made of reinforced concrete. In the commercial part of the project there are horizontal structures designed from prestressed ceiling panels SPIROLL. The roof of the residential building is designed as a single-shell flat roof. The topic of diploma thesis is to design a "city house", in a form of the intensive urban structure, using the area with the greatest efficiency in terms of housing, services and jobs on a relatively small area. The main function of the new complex is housing supplemented by services, as well as, leisure and education facilities. The art school, the gallery, the office space and other facilities serve not only the residents of the "intensive house", but also the rest of the public, with the possibility of getting new jobs at an accessible distance, which is the main task of an intensive structure. The aim is to create a multifunctional urban building that revitalizes the inefficiently used area and at the same time brings green spaces designed for relaxation that are missing in this area.

In the next part there is a brief guide to create simulation algorithms in LabVIEW environment and to create the model of a motor with EMI functions in language C. The assignment of my diploma thesis was to design a polyfunctional building. Function of the building is based on the requirements of the Land Use Plan Brno, cadastral zone Židenice. The aim of the design was to improve the quality of public space in the area by creating parks, urban parterre with services, parking and by bringing missing features to the area. The building is located in the centre of the plot. The main facade is oriented to the main street. Design creates new parking on the ground and in the underground garage. On the first floor are rentable spaces for commerce and services. At 2nd and 3rd floor are open space offices with the possibility of spatial variability solutions. Architectural expression of the building is simple, consisting as a compact mass with parterre subsided, useful in terms of energetical sustainability. The facade of the building is made as a combination of a transparent double skin facade and opaque ventilated facade with fibre cement panels. Structural system is a precast concrete frame with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete shear core. Foundation is made as a reinforced concrete pads and strips. Ceiling is made of a precast prestressed hollow core slabs.

The main subject of this thesis is a modern multifunctional arena with a capacity of 9 800, which is a part of the complex. The multifunctional arena is located alongside the main composition axis, which stretches from West to East through the Rybníček street to the football stadium. The arena contains dressing rooms for the ice hockey home team and visiting team as well as the youth ice hockey teams. The arena can serve multiple purposes and can be used for other sport and cultural events and as a result it also contains backstage areas and large storage rooms.

This theses is regarding a proposal of adaptation and extension of an object of an infant school in Pravenec. The object was built in 1963 and it was originally built to serve as a local infant school and creche. It served its original purpose until year 2000 and afterwards was used as a workshop of a textile factory. Since 2010 this object has not been utilised. Adaptation of object includes the alternation of its purpose. Object will be partially re-built and modified in order to be able to serve as a domestic building. There should be three separate housing units created, each with its own entrance. On first level there will be two individual accommodation units. On second level there will be a single apartment designed with an entrance through staircase. Adaptation also includes an overall isolation of the building, exchange of aperture blockage and a new flat roof as current condition of the object does not meet the quality standards.

This thesis deals with artificial simulation of acoustic spaces by using reverberators. Output of this document consists of four reverberation algorithms and function that evaluates objective parameters of acoustic space from impulse responses. Reverberators and script were implemented using Matlab. Graphical user interface is used to present all of the algorithms for easier usability. First chapter deals with objective parameters of acoustic spaces and the ways they are computed from impulse response. Second chapter describes various structures which are used to build reverberators. Those structures are used in third chapter in implementations of reverberators. Third chapter also compares all implemented reverberators . In last chapter experiment was made. Impulse responses of three spaces were measured and subsequently aproximated by algorithms implemented in this thesis.

This master thesis is exploring a possibility of densifying traditional block structure of a city by the design of a multifunctional building. It is located in Brno exactly in Brno centrum city part. The building site is defined by Veveří, Kounicova and Pekárenská streets. On the forth side there is existing block of flats on the Sokolská Street. The design itself is based on the form of a traditional enclosed block of flats, but masses are oriented differently. The basic principle is layering when first two floors are commercially oriented and therefore accessible by public. Living areas are separated by position above. The roof, connecting all of the buildings, is taking role of a traditional courtyard. In this case, it stays visually connected with surrounding street life and newly formed commercial parts. Masses of the complex are reflecting different city structures on each side. It encloses on the side of the Veveří Street which creates undisturbed street corridor. New structure opens more to Kounicova Street and reflects free city pattern of this part.

The main theme of this master thesis is the design of technological process measurement and processing of measured data entered crane tracks to determine the geometric parameters of these crane tracks. Diploma thesis further describes the procedure for testing and possible rectification surveying equipment and instrumentation. The thesis is divided of 7 parts, contains 31 images, 4 graphs, 44 tables and 13 attachments. The theoretical part of this thesis contains information about several types of cranes, methods of measurement and processing, as well information on legal and technical regulations related to this topic of the thesis. The fourth and fifth parts of this thesis provides information on selected crane tracks on which the measurements were taken, the choice of methods of measurement, processing technique and the results obtained. The final part of the thesis includes evaluation of the results obtained, comparing methods of measurement, processing, evaluation and design of a technique of determining the geometric parameters of crane tracks.

Architectural composition is temperate and rational with regard on functional use of building and considerates demnads of the investor. Building is created mainly for administration purposes.First storey conists form more parts, there is administrative part, space for shops,stores, relax zones,and the part for stores and utility room. Second and third storey is also for administration , relax zones and social background.Undergorund is the space for garage compound, utility rooms, the spare source for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC)and store.Load-bearing structure is system S1.2 - reinforced concret skeleton system. The foundation construction is developed from foundation pad, foundation strips and foundation slab. The single- shell roof of this buildng is proposed as the flat roof above the first and second storey and as the roof with growing layer and mound of river stones above the third storey. Our aim was to propose the commercial space for offices with variation usage and also the space for shops, work out compact bulding with spacy and functional disposition.We worked out design documentation in accordance to valid legislation, laws,and technical norms. Drawings are made in AutCAD and visualisations in SketchUp program.

But public spaces in these localities often do not fulfill their own potential and stay as average free space inbetween buildings. Thesis suggests a detailed system for categorisation of squares and streets in the inner city of Brno and examines the reasons for potential non-fulfillment on these typologies, it tries to find out the problems of public spaces and how they can be solved.

The subject of the diploma thesis was focused on possibilities of application of landscape- architectural means on the selected urban space in the center of Banská Bystrica. The thesis is divided into the literary and design part. The first part presents a general overview of the theme of public urban spaces. In the introduction, it defines the basic concepts, and then discusses the brief history of the development of urban spaces. It generally deals with contemporary issues, opinions and trends in the creation of public urban spaces. The second, design part presents good reference examples of the contemporary creation of public spaces in the home country as well as from abroad. It also handles complete analysis along with broader relationships. From the literary part, referenc examples and the subsequent analyzes of the territory, the findings and the bases that influenced the final form of the proposal emerged. Architectural studies process two interconnected parts of the city. The Liberty Square and the residential area, the SNP class treats as a whole. For better understanding and detailed processing of the territory, it divides it into 5 logical parts. The aim of the study was to create a quality, pleasant, safe and attractive urban space that is sensitively suited to the wider environment in the long run.

For purpose of this thesis were chosen three places of public spaces: square, street and riverbank - Kamenné námestie, Štúrova ulica and Fajnorovo nábrežie. Although of their central location, the places are functionless and visually unsightly. The diploma thesis is devided in three parts. Theoretical part is specialized on literary research about system of public spaces. The part of analyzing and designeing is accompanied by graphical outputs of topviews, schemes, sections and vizualizations. This diploma thesis provide visual and architectonic study focused on new image and reconnecting mentioned places. Tense public places, clutching the city center, are brisk up down to Dunaj riverbank with useing new materials and features of landscape archirecture.

This thesis deals with a roof garden as an element that shapes an urban public space. The roof garden provides a unique space in ecosystem of the city and offers new forms and advantages as compared to existing roof structures. Theoretical part of this thesis discusses the development of roof gardens and defines their role in cities. It offers unique and innovative examples of the use of roof gardens in the world as well as in Czech Republic. The design study presents a roof garden on top of a new multifunctional building on St. Anna's Square in Trenčín. Roof garden at the level of parterre connects with the entire square and the entire ecosystem of the city.
