The aim of the article. The article is devoted to the problems of bread boarding of hot manufactures (pottery, metallurgy, glass making and others) in historical museums. The role of the layout in the creation of museum communication is not sufficiently appreciated. Much of the museum communication depends on the attractiveness of the exposition itself. The layout greatly increases the attractiveness of the exposition. However, mock-ups are very rare in museum expositions. Models of archaeological sites are even less common. Mostly such models are one of the central stands in the expositi

This project studied both historical as well as metallurgical aspect of metal working. It compared the ancient metallurgical technology of Katsina state with modern ones; its development and collapse of the industry. Some metallurgical examinations and tests were carried out on some of the blacksmiths to asses the level of development attained by these practices. Based on the study carried out, ways of improvement were suggested.

Zalamea la Real is close to the biggest Mediterranean mines known in ancient times: Riotinto Mines (Huelva, Spain). Zalamea is within the South Iberia Pyrite Belt, which goes from Alcácer do Sal (Portugal) to Seville (Las Cruces Mines, at Gerena/Aznalcollar villages). It is a territory containing a high density of megaliths and neglected rocks/stones on the surrounding area which are rests of them. Zalamea district could be considered a megalithic region and also a megalithic context altogether, which is linked to mines of metal extractions since 3000 years ago. Probably, the main mines furnac

The building sector contributes approximately half of all carbon emissions. The heating stage accounts for the largest proportion of building carbon emissions. The focus on carbon-reduction strategies in rural areas could not be copied from urban buildings due to different heating modes limited by economic factors. The Gannan region in Gansu province was selected to carry out an on-site survey on heating conditions, including the heating modes, the energy used for heating, heating fees, residents’ satisfaction with heating, and the thermal environment of the typical building. Two crowns enable H. buttsi n. sp. to be reconstructed. The animal lived about 70 cm above the seafloor and was attached to a strophomenid brachiopod with a lichenocrinid holdfast. Its endotomous arms formed an efficient filtration net that covered much of the water within its planar filtration fan. The application of filtration theory ind

The date palm fruit (Phoenix dactylifera) is considered one of the primitive crops to be harvested in the Middle East. Nowadays, several varieties of dates are frequently available and being marketed at different price ranges, especially in the local markets of Bangladesh. However, there is no standardized data available to recognize the differences in the quality (nutritional quality) of Bangladeshi dates and Saudi Arabian dates. The current study aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of the nutrient contents of dates cultivated in Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. Date samples were collected fr

The paper considers the features of structural transformations during annealing of the high-entropy alloy Al0.3CoCrFeNi. The ingots obtained by argon arc melting were subjected to cold rolling with a compression ratio of 50 %. The produced worpieces were annealed in the furnace for 4 hours at temperatures of 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000 °C. The samples obtained by the described technique were examined using the methods of synchrotron X-ray diffraction in the lumen mode and diffraction of backscattered electrons. The oldest medieval domus in Ravello date back to the twelfth century, as an evolution of the original house with barrel vaults, a primitive stone construction with walls of dry masonry of limestone and almost always connected to an olive grove or a vineyard, widespread on the Campania coasts between the island of Capri, the coast of Sorrento and that of Amalfi. Vertical and horizontal aggregations of this module have constituted, over time, the evolution of the building typology, while retaining some of the pre-existing architectural elements and the peculiar construction characteristics, inc

Abstract This work reports numerical results for the case of incompressible laminar heated flow with a swirl in a vertical cylindrical chamber. Computations are obtained with a point-wise block-implicit scheme. Flow governing equations are written in terms of the so-called primitive variables and are recast into a general form. The discretized momentum equations are applied to each cell face and then, together with the mass-continuity, tangential velocity and energy equations, are solved directly in each computational node.
