Abstract:
5 TITLE: A priori analysis as a part of teacher's lesson planning AUTHOR: Mgr. Hana Nováková DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: Prof. RNDr. Jarmila Novotná, CSc. This thesis focuses on a priori analysis as a part of teacher's lesson planning. The theoretical background consists of the Theory of didactical situations in Mathematics (TDSM). In TDSM, the a priori analysis is seen as one of the teacher's tools that he/she has when planning a lesson. The goal of the thesis is to analyse differences between a priori analysis as described in TDSM and the reality in teacher's practice, to compare lesson plans of experienced teachers with those of students and demonstrate the significance and application of a priori analysis in teacher's and researcher's practice. The thesis consists of three parts, theoretical, experimental and applicational. In the theoretical part, the main concepts of TDSM linked with a priori analysis are explained and the issue of teacher's lesson planning is presented. The experimental part starts with a pre-experiment. Its results contributed to precise the structure of a priori analysis for further use. During the main experiment, the lesson plans of experienced teachers were compared with those of pre-service teachers. The differences and the...

Small-class school is a kind of school where two or more classes are taught together. This type of organization is demanding for teachers, their lesson planning and the whole learning process. Important part of small-class teacher's activity is indirect pedagogical work. It means organization of regular or irregular activities which are necessary for socio-cultural function of those schools in a village. It is possible to label small-class schools as alternative schools where unconventional teaching methods are used. Main goal of this thesis was to find out which types of teaching methods and didactic tools are used most frequently in small-class schools. Other goals of this thesis were to describe a range of indirect pedagogical work and co-operation of small-class schools with special pedagogues.

Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to give account of experimental teaching of a CLIL, namely in combination with blended learning at the second level of elementary school. The starting point was a reflection on how to relieve the overloaded of schedule of lessons devoted to non-linguistic subjects, in which many teachers now struggle with time to manage to teach all that is needed. To answer the question as to how pupils of an eighth grade of primary school, would respond to a new type of lessons in an unusual form, I tried to perform a teaching experiment in which the pupils went through a hard CLIL programme driven by blended learning. The available resources on this issue have been elaborated in the form of the theoretical part, which forms the first part of this work. It deals with CLIL, e- lerarning and blended learning. The second part consists of the preparation of the research and the third part is devoted to its implementation. The research consisted of three hours of full-time teaching enriched by blocks of e-learning support. During the preparation and implementation of the project, I tried to find sources of motivation that would encourage pupils to spend their extra-maths learning time. I collected the data for the subsequent analysis by participating and mediated observation, using...

This thesis focuses on the topic of teaching practicum in training teachers of EFL. The practicum is regarded as a complex didactic tool realized for a specific purpose with a specific aim. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the concept of practicum and the role of its participants. Furthermore, it presents the practicum models used in Finland, Germany and Belgium. Based on secondary literature and on the description of the practicum models used in the selected countries, the theoretical part proposes recommendations for enhancing the efficiency of practical training within the lifelong learning programme. The aim of the empirical part of this thesis is to find out how novice teachers evaluate their practical training and the beginning of their teaching career. The research is based on five case studies of teachers educated at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University and one case study of a teacher educated at the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia. Semi- structured interviews were conducted to find out whether the novice teachers felt sufficiently prepared for their career and whether they consider the practicum model efficient. Abstract:
This thesis directly continues my bachelor thesis titled "What and Why do we laugh with Jára Cimrman at". The first, theoretical part, sums up the observation of the poetics of the plays of Jára Cimrman Theatre and subsequently proves them through interpretation of the last play of Smoljak & Svěrák called "České nebe". The first two chapters provide the theoretical base of knowledge for the four-hour-long lesson based on "České nebe" itself. Both these chapters mainly focus on the used humour and the character of Jára Cimrman, the Czech national genius, but also on related topics such as mystification, space-time, Czechness and composition. The second part of the thesis is then the main one which brings the theory into practice. "České nebe" as a play offers an enormous didactic potential which can be used to verify and deepen one's literacy. The didactic part includes a complex preparation for four lessons, for which it provides a basic introduction of Jára Cimrman Theatre and a summary of comedy techniques used by this theatre, which have a strong emphasis on parody. Mainly, though, it provides a brief insight into the opinions, values and the culturally-historical knowledge of a today's adolescent. Abstract:
A b s t r a c t: CLIL is an innovative approach how to improve foreign language teaching. Thanks to the globalization, language education became one of the main priorities in most of the states, European countries, especially. However, foreign language education has been intensively discussed over the past two decades, there are still some important questions to answer. What is the best time to start with foreign language teaching? Which methods shall we use? When shall we start with the intensive foreign language teaching? Third grade, second grade or even earlier? I suggest CLIL and, particularly, language showers, could be a suitable solution how to prepare children for the future foreign language teaching. The main goal of my thesis is to find what kind of CLIL activities are suitable for the second grade where I actually teach. More specifically, I will carry out action research which will be based on videorecordings of three CLIL lessons. I will also try to analyse my linguistic and didactic mistakes. The analysis should help me to find solutions which will improve my CLIL teaching. Within the thesis, I will also try to diagnosticate my own pedagogical type which will help me to recognize the characteristics which will play important role during the reflective process of my CLIL teaching.
