Sediment in rivers is linked with qualitative and quantitative water problems throughout Europe. Sediment supply and transfer are part of a natural process of minimising gradients in the landscape. However, since human activities have started to affect the equilibrium, sediment supply is often out of balance with the river system. Cases of either low or high concentration often mean an instability which may cause severe problems. Therefore it is highly important to gain knowledge about sediment patterns in catchments as a part of catchment management. This study was undertaken in order to imp

Abstract:
<p>Secondary atomization is very important in applications like IC engine and aircraft engine performance, agricultural sprays, and inkjet printing to name a few. In case of IC engines and aircraft engines, a good understanding of the modes of secondary atomization and the resultant drop size can contribute to improving the fuel injection and hence the efficiency of the engine. Similarly, with the help of appropriate secondary atomization desired agro-spray quality, ink usage and print quality can be achieved which would optimize the usage of chemicals and ink respectively and avoid any harmfu

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
This Dissertation builds a routine to extract inflation expectations from options through the risk-neutral distribution methodology, based on the Black-Scholes pricing model. The data includes cap and floor options, equivalents of call and put options with inflation as the underlying, with some technical differences. The methodology includes extracting implied volatilities from observed prices of caps and floors, then use a cubic interpolation on implied volatilities, to be able to fit to the volatility smile. Further, taking advantage of Breeden and Litzenberger (1976), the initial density fu
