Abstract:
Pollution of environment and the irreversible destruction of nature has become the way of life of the modern world. The consequences of that are obviously tragic for human life and for the survival of the entire planet Earth. This article has an aim to answer the question: what can the Orthodox Church do to stop this problem, if it cannot regain what has already been lost? To answer this question, the author first analyzes the causes of the ecological catastrophe, and then offers a theological answer to the posed problem.

The epigraphs indicate the main problem of the novel – the shallowing of the Aral Sea, the loss of water – the greatest wealth in the world. The problem of morality is also considered as the most important philosophical problem of the survival of man and nature, their co-existence on earth. The main philosophical and i

This paper will discuss the problem of environmental pollution and waste management. Everything that surrounds us is directly or indirectly connected to the environment. Not only the man, but also other living beings as well as the nature (volcanic eruptions, earthquakes) have effects on environmental pollution. Environmental pollution is present from the very beginning of life, but today it is a serious problem that threatens the survival of mankind. During the preparation of scientific research, we noticed a problem: “What is the influence of the waste management on the environment?” Today,

Genome replication invariably generates essential and ubiquitous genetic parasites. The method of magnetotellurics (MT) uses surface measurements of naturally-occurring electromagnetic fields to investigate the conductivity distribution within the Earth. In many interpretations it is adequate to represent the conductivity structure by a one-dimensional (1-D) model. In this thesis, linearized construction and appraisal algorithms are developed for the 1-D MT inverse problem. Projects remain in the pipeline as they fail to provide sufficient justification for the climate rationale to receive funding. Resources and capacity to provide the required evidence of that rationale is often constrained in developing countries, resulting in fewer bankable climate finance proposals being successful. This discussion paper proposes the use of satellite remote sensing (SRS) and earth observation (EO) data, information and applications as a means to manage and add

Abstract:
Central banks and international supervisors have identified the difficulty of obtaining climate information as one of the key obstacles to the development of green financial products and markets. To bridge this data gap, the use of satellite information from Earth Observation (EO) systems may be necessary. To better understand this process, we analyse the potential of applying satellite data to green finance. First, we summarise the policy debate from a central banking perspective. We then briefly describe the main challenges for economists in dealing with the EO data format and quantitative m

We hereby embark on a frontier journey articulating two of our flagship programs – “Earth System Dynamic Intelligence” and “Quantum Information Technologies in the Earth Sciences” – to take the pulse of our planet and discern its manifold complexity in a critically changing world. Going beyond the traditional stochastic-dynamic, information-theoretic, artificial intelligence, mechanistic and hybrid approaches to information and complexity, the underlying fundamental science ignites disruptive developments empowering complex problem solving across frontier natural, social and technical geoscien

At present, there are approximately 8,300 satellites actively orbiting the Earth, gathering and distributing vital data for space science, Earth observation, meteorology, disaster early warning systems, telecommunication, and navigation. Satellites make our lives safer, more convenient and connected, and represent critical infrastructure that is now essential for a functioning society. However, as the number of satellites increases, so does the problem of space debris, posing a threat to both functioning satellites and the future of our orbit. Review question / Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the therapeutic effects of various stem cell types, sources and routes of administration on chronic decompensated cirrhosis by using network meta-analysis. Condition being studied: Liver cirrhosis is an important public health problem that puzzles the world. It is divided into compensatory stage and decompensated stage. Once the patient enters decompensated stage, the treatment is very limited, and liver transplantation is currently the best and only approach to improve the survival rate of decompensated cirrhosis4. Abstract:
In this paper, we study the drivers of public debt surges across 172 countries from 1980-2021. We focus on the role of discrepancies between the annual change in public debt and the budget deficit, referred to as stock-flow adjustments (SFA). The analysis employs survival methods to model the effect of SFA and other macroeconomic factors on the hazard rate for debt spike events. We differentiate between debt accumulation trends and spikes to examine how SFA influences the likelihood of a spike once a country is already on an increasing debt trajectory. Our results indicate that an increase of

Abstract:
There are many aspects of the transportation industry that can be focused on, but the lack of resiliency is one of the most urgent. Enhancing resiliency and creative problem-solving is essential to the industry’s growth and survival. But it cannot happen without building a more diverse workforce. Women still make up a small fraction of transportation workers, and African American and Hispanic employees are even less represented. These disparities are increasingly pronounced in many senior positions, particularly in STEM fields. Meanwhile, the public transportation industry is experiencing a se
