The article deals with a special kind of modelling tass. These problems are used for learning and researching as well. So the results of an empirical study on mathematical modelling of pupils in secondary schools are presented. Pupils of forms 8-10 were observed working on open, realistic problems. These observations were recorded and evaluated. The goal of the presented part of the study is a detailed look at the control processes of modelling problems. In this context changes between real life control and mathematical control during the control phases are studied and evaluated. We describe i

The inclusion of science in the primary school curriculum makes it necessary to have plausible scientific activities that fulfil certain educational objectives. The purpose of this study is to show to what extent it is possible to combine such criteria. Tasks have been constructed, each in two versions - Structured and Investigation plus Goal - in each four topic domains. Levels of success are given for both versions of the tasks, both overall and in relation to their cognitive demands. The tasks are constructed so as to elicit, as far as possible, a number of 'scientific processes'. This noti

Using algorithms inspired by psychology, specifically by the Operant Conditioning of Behaviorism, RL makes it possible to solve problems from scratch, without any prior knowledge nor data about the task at hand. When used in conjuction with Neural Networks (NNs), RL has proven to be especially effective: we call this Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL). Abstract:
Mobile sensor networks have been shown to be a powerful tool for enabling a number of activities that require recording of environmental parameters at various spatial and temporal distributions. These mobile sensor networks could be implemented using a team of robots, usually called robotic sensor networks. This type of sensor network involves the coordinated control of multiple robots to achieve specific measurements separated by varied distances. In most formation measurement applications, initialization involves identifying a number of interesting sites to which mobility platforms, instrum
