Abstract:
The master thesis deals with measures to reduce energy performance of grocery store building. Model of the grocery store is evaluated according to a recommended energy values specified by Czech standards and according to the real values of the actual consumption. These values are compared. Final building analysis for a proposal measures to reduce energy consumption is based on the invoices of the real consumption and on the experimental assignments. Experimental measurements are the Blower door test of the tightness of the building envelope, the measures with the thermovision camera and the measuring of the illumination intensity. The most efficient proposal is extended to the whole model network of the food shops in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this dissertation is to create a business plan for an online e-shop with food. The main aim of this paper is to evaluate the success of this business idea. This work is divided into a theoretical and practical section. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of small and medium-sized entrepreneurial businesses, and their strengthens and weaknesses. Then it describes the reasons for setting up a business, a founder's budget, and the structure of a business plan. The practical part describes the business idea. It is divided into categories and chapters according to the theoretical part. There is a conclusion at the end of my dissertation work. I am summarizing results discovered during writing this work. And I am evaluating the success of the business idea.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis is devoted to the evaluation of the meaning and role of shopping centers in retail sales in the Czech Republic, using analysis performed. The SWOT analysis was carried out in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of selected shopping centers and to define their opportunities and threats. Further, some of financial indicators of given studied shopping centers were calculated and the resulting data were compared to each other in the monitored time period. On the basis of these results, it was evaluated a possible impact of the effectiveness of the law of corporations to shopping centers. In the next part, two retail format focused on food sale were compared based on financial indicators. The first format is represented by hypermarkets located in shopping centers and the second one by smaller retail units. The last section describes evaluation of questionnaire focused on consumer behavior of customers during food purchase and their preferences in choice a retail format.

Abstract:
The master´s thesis characterizes farmers´ markets and their development, supervisory authorities which are linked with the farmers´ markets, the codex of farmers´ markets and the basic signs of quality. The main aim of the thesis is to identify the preferences and the buying behaviour of consumers who buy food on farmers´ markets and consecutive formulation of recommendation for sellers and producers of the original Czech food products who implement their goods on farmers´ markets based on the findings. The consumer's preferences survey was implemented by a direct interrogation through questionnaires. All age groups were included in the survey. There were 172 questionnaires which were filled and the data were processed to charts and tables and were evaluated through Microsoft Excel. Then an analysis of the dependency of chosen signs was done. The analysis was done using the x2 test of the independency in the IBM SPSS Statistics software and following confirmation or refusal of the hypothesis which were stated in advance. The findings show that the most visited farmers´ markets are the markets on Náplavka. The consumers who participated in the survey prefer the quality of the goods, the freshness of the goods and their own experience the most. The goods which the consumers buy the most often are fruits, vegetables, pastry, milk and dairy products.

This diploma thesis deals with problems of farmers´ markets. The Consumers still prioritize lower prices over the food quality. The Czech Republic is trying to promote organic food and propagate it.This approach is not increasing only sales success, but also the renewal of a healthy lifestyle. There is direct correlation between promotion of regional foods and selling of these products.Marketing role is in the hands of the dealers, who are forced to attract attention and sell their products. The Marketing role is based on current legislation, standards and regulations, including notonly business processes, but also the environment. To farmers´ markets relate the same laws like any other food sellers. Another form of sales are expanding farm shops. The main goal of this diploma thesis is the identification of determinants of consumer behavior during buying of organic products from farmers and historical development of farmers´markets.Using literature search to handle the issue of farmers' markets from their historical origins to the expected course of development in the upcoming years. Using surveys to determine their attendancein the Ústí region and create a proposal for further measures leading to the development of farmers´markets. Subsequent analysis of the provided informations by vendors offering organic products and the target group of buyers.

Theme of this thesis was to design and process a project of Apartment building in Valašske Meziříčí. The building is situated in the city center, close to hospital. Designed apartment building with four floors and a basement is located on a sloping terrain. Surrounding buildings are costisted of blocks of flats that were built in last century. Goal of the thesis was to design apartment house which will fit to the neighborhood. There are technical backround and parking slots in the basement of the bilding. Apartments are situated in above-ground floors. The grocery store lies on the northern side of the building on the same level as first floor. The apartmen building is covered by single-skinned flat roof.

Abstract:
The thesis is focused on the determination of the thermal conductivity coefficient on the group of thermoplastics used for 3D printing (PLA, ABS, PETG). The thesis describes the materials used for 3D printing and the design of air conditioning for the grocery store. A stationary method was used for the solution. The heat flux passing through the sample was measured and the thermal conductivity coefficient was calculated. By the chosen method, we determined the coefficient is = 0,11-0,13 W/(m·K). Comparison with the available results of other methods and authors has shown that the resulting coefficient is lower. Based on the data, it is possible to compare the thermal properties of 3D printing materials.

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive understanding of successful strategies in retail trade, overview of the Czech online grocery retail market and provide recommendations how to succeed in this market. This diploma thesis is intended to help established big grocery retailers, start-ups venturing into the online grocery retail and prospective investors into such start-ups understand the Czech online grocery market. First, we provide a summary of the major developments in the history of retail trade and e-commerce accompanied by several business strategy frameworks proposed by academics for achieving success in these two markets. Second, we define online grocery retail with its different business formats, analyse strategies used across the world and the biggest challenges of this business. Third, we provide an overview of the Czech grocery retail market, both store based and online based. Fourth, we present our findings from our customer survey and form our recommendations based on the findings of the whole thesis. The main contribution of this thesis is in providing an integrated understanding of the Czech online grocery retail market.

This diploma thesis deals with consumer behaviour when choosing a store for food purchase. The main aim is to evaluate the importance of individual factors that play role in the selection of grocery store using a questionnaire survey. Secondary goals are to characterize how consumers currently behave in the selection of the store and to confirm or disprove established hypotheses. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with issues related to the topic of the work, the practical part focuses on the marketing research itself, through which all the goals of this work have been fulfilled. As a method of collecting the primary data an electronic questionnaire was used. The data obtained were evaluated using MS Excel and "R" program. Based on the findings possible recommendations for the retailers are also formulated at the end of the practical part.

The main task of the thesis is to propose general marketing recommendations for packaging free shops and specific recommendations for the selected store. The thesis focuses on the experience of Czech consumers with packaging free shops and their willingness to buy there. To reach the goal, in-depth interviews (n = 26) were used, with shoppers and also with consumers who have not experienced this way of shopping. A questionnaire survey (n = 379) was carried out as well. Based on the results of the research, general recommen-dations were formulated and later specified for the selected shop.

This diploma thesis deals with the marketing of grocery stores. The aim of this work was to develop marketing recommendations for grocery stores in small towns in order to improve their relationships with customers and increase traffic to the outlets. Resultscontain qualitative research in the form of in-depth interviews of twenty operators of grocery stores in Brno region, the outputs of these interviews were analysed using grounded theory. The second part of the research was carried out in the form of a questionnairesurvey, the sample consists of 317 respondents. There are verified assumptions formulated on the basis of the findings of qualita-tive research. The main findings of this study are marketing recommendations that lead to improvement of satisfaction of current and potential customers, these pro-posals concern implementation of merchandising and category management.

Consumer culture of social classes in terms of food purchasing and consumption habits Monika Novotná Abstract This work deals with historical and sociological view on the issue of grocery obtaining and consumption between the end of World War II to the present. Grocery obtaining and consumption is understood as a symbolic expression of social status in society. The work is divided into two parts. Theoretical-historical part examines how food consumption is linked to changes of social stratification. Research part of thesis builds on the theme of food consumption by examining the shopping habits in relation to social class. The main question of theoretical-historical part is whether and how food consumption, relates to social differentiation. Trend of convergence of differences in consumption and rate of consumption stratification of social classes are monitored in time series in two eras - the communist period and the period after 1989. For both periods, a secondary analysis of historical data on the consumption of specific types of food that aims to detect differences or similar trends between social classes. While in the period of communism different social strata tend to convergence their consumption, with the exception of the cooperative farmers, whose consumption is influenced by self-supplying, after...

On the basis of the results of surveys there was suggested an improvement for promotion of the proclaimed competitions. There are contained schemes approaching problems solved in the diploma thesis.

The object of this thesis which deals with ?Food quality and sales control system? is to inform about the current legislative as regards the productin and business food chain. In the theoretical part the laws and bills of the Czech Republic are summarized that relate to meat and meat product production. Also the European legislative is elaborated here which needs to be followed by all Czech producers. Further on, the thesis deals with different quality regulation systems that are used to ensure safe food production. The practical part includes the veterinary control in the particular food store. There I focused on how the control of the meat and meat products quality is carried out. In all the production and processing sections it is important to prevent the contamination. In the whole production plant it is important to follow strict security and sanitary rules. The asset of the thesis has been the gain of theoretical and practical overview of the production plant activity including the control authorities.

My thesis is devoted to the influence of food retail units with an exclusive assortment on the territory of Prague 1 at the time of normalization, specifically in the 80s of the 20th century. All facilities which are mentioned in the thesis have been incorporated into the enterprise Potraviny Prague 1, and were somehow exceptional in its own way, whether it was a privilege in supplying compared to standard establishments, or the customers' demand for local delicacies. As the enterprise Potraviny Prague 1 was a direct superior of the member establishments and their important part, this thesis deals with its origin and history. Its inseparable part consists also in the mention of organized competitions, shows, and last but not least, I mention the awards, which ware granted to this enterprise. The fourth chapter focuses on the availability of the specialized range of products, their quality and the level of provided services, which is connected to overseeing the establishments by its parent organization. The methodology of this thesis uses both the scientific literature, the press of that time, and the interviews conducted using the method of oral history.

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the shopping environment of the grocery stores with respect to the needs of older consumers and to propose measures that will lead to greater seniors´ satisfaction when food shopping. The thesis describes factors that are important for the older consumers when choosing a grocery store and other matters that are related to the purchase. For the purpose of the thesis quantitative research through questionnaire survey (n = 229) was conducted. The questionnaire survey was supplemented with in-depth interviews with seniors (n = 40) and retailers (n = 2) and observation in grocery stores. The data were being collected in March and April 2017. The recommendations focused mainly on improving services and comfort for seniors when food shopping.

The dissertation focuses on the area of in-store communication, its perception and visual attention within the elements of the point of sale. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of selected visual instruments of the sales point on attention of the consumer from generation Y. To realize this aim were used eye-tracking method (n = 54), in-depth interviews (n = 54) and focus groups (n = 32) with consumers, in-depth interviews with specialist (n = 12) and questionnaire (n = 1456). The result of the work is the evaluation of the importance of these visual elements across the different categories of foods, the comparison of the findings with the theory and practice and the proposal of recommendations applicable in practice

This diploma thesis evaluates the Czech retail market for food and consumer protection benefits for the customer with the division into a public-private law parts. An important theme of the work is the effect of the Act on significant market power on the retail entities. Part of the work is devoted to food quality criteria, which significantly affect the chain stores. The results of the work are intertwined with the subjective assessment of customers that were obtained from a questionnaire focused on consumer behaviour when purchasing food and its contribution to the improvement of consumer protection for the customer in the buying decision process.

The thesis deals with the evaluation of stakeholders preparedness (sellers and non-profit organizations) on the duty arising from the new Law no. 180/2016 Coll. amending Law no. 110/1997 Coll. on foodstuffs and tabacco products. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the readiness of these subjects for legislative change requiring establishments with a sales area over 400 m2 to be obligated to donate harmless food to non-profit organizations. On the basis of the analysis sec-ondary and primary data gained from stakeholder representatives, requirements related to the obligations of individual entities are identified. The readiness is evaluated according to the defined terms and their satisfactory fulfilment. On the basis of the evaluation of the data obtained, it can be stated that sellers are fully prepared for the obligations under the law and non-profit organizations are only partially prepared. The thesis contains proposals to ensure obligations arising from legislative changes.

Abstract:
The theme of my thesis was published with the title of local government activities and a proposal of the methodological approach in dealing with the disruption of food supplies. The objective of my thesis was to outline the local government and also to focus on its activities. It also describes the basic principles of emergency planning as part of preparatory measures for dealing with crisis situations, including crisis situations with the disruption of food supplies with large-scale consequences. My thesis also contains a general overview of the economic measures for crisis situations, which includes regulatory measures. The regulatory measures are a central subject of my thesis research. The objective of my thesis was to create a proposal of the methodological approach in dealing with the disruption of food supplies. A presumptive hypothesis was subsequently formed for this objective. This thesis is classified as a theoretical type of qualifying work. This type of thesis is accompanied by a formative evaluation as a minimum. An essential basis for the work on this thesis was a relevant and rich source base. This platform was used for performing a comparison of published literary sources, current legislation, methodological proposals and procedures related to this issue. Based on analytical and critical approach, the data acquired was assessed and processed into a draft methodological guide. The draft methodological approach in dealing with the disruption of food supplies consists of two basic parts. The methodological guide is intended for local authorities that can use it in their planning documents for dealing with emergencies and crisis situations. The proposed methodology should help local governments in dealing with crisis situations with food supply disruptions and simplify orientation in the issue of economic measures for crisis situations, which include regulatory measures. It would be suitable to inform local authorities about the issue of economic measures for crisis situations, focusing on regulatory measures concerning the solutions to crisis situations with food supply disruptions with large-scale consequences, through training and professional seminars on the issue.

Kramářová, D. Purchasing behaviour of visually impaired consumers. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The diploma thesis is focused on identifying the biggest obstacles and barriers faced by visually impaired consumers when buying food. The aim is to create general recommendations for vendors based on primary research results. In-depth interviews were conducted with adult consumers (n = 30) and their observations in grocery stores when buying food (n = 5). Subsequently, managers of selected stores (n = 6) were invited to express their views approach to the issue. Field research on grocery stores was chosen as a complementary method. The primary survey was preceded by a relatively extensive orientation analysis in which mainly foreign scientific knowledge was used.

The quality of the pharmaceutical advertising has been continuously discused. METHODS: The objective of the study was to assess availability of supporting scientific information for health claims stated in the food supplements and OTC (Over-the- Counter) medicines ads that were published during period September 2012 and June 2013 in the mostly read life style journals for women. For each advertisement, the emphasized claim/-s was compared to available scientific unbiased evidence. The literature search was conducted by using Pubmed database (mainly meta-analysis and randomized clinical trials).
