The increase in labor costs, the shortage of qualified employees, the reduction in the cost of acquiring advanced technologies and the need to find technical solutions to increase competitiveness and strengthen the market position of companies leads to the fact that automation and robotization have become considered by entrepreneurs as business strategies. Opportunities to compete in international markets due only to cheap labor will soon disappear, so the dynamics of global demand for robots and other components of industrial automation in the next few years will remain in double digits. This paper analyzes the asymmetries and complementarities between Brazil's and China's agricultural sectors. Brazil and China are key players in world agriculture. Both countries are among the world's top five producers and exporters of agricultural products and have a significant portion of their population working in agriculture. However, four significant facts profoundly differentiate Brazilian and Chinese agriculture. First, while Brazil has one of the world's most liberal agricultural sectors, Chinese agriculture remains under strong state intervention, particularly in its foreign trade.

Abstract:
Countries are exploring various options to achieve net-zero emissions, including bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), which is the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO2) from processes that utilize bioenergy to produce heat, electricity or biofuels. However, this technology faces sustainability concerns, an unclear public perception and has complex value chains for its emissions. Adding to this complexity, the literature presents two opposing views regarding the potential of BECCS to achieve negative emissions. This paper analyzes in detail a wide range of BECCS pa

Abstract:
This paper explores the potential for LDCs, including those that will soon graduate from the category, to benefit from intellectual property rights (IPRs). It argues that a more pro-development intellectual property (IP) agenda is needed for LDCs, tailored to their specific context and development goals. The paper provides evidence-based analysis to assist LDCs to navigate potential IPR-related challenges upon graduation and to develop IP regimes and systems that support the development of productive capacities, technological upgrading and innovation as part of broader efforts to achieve inclu

Abstract:
This paper provides an overview of the country’s manufacturing value chain of textiles and garments, and the status of sustainable manufacturing throughout these so-called upstream processes, from raw material procurement to ready-made garment production. After outlining the regulatory structure that influences the upstream textile and garments value chain in India, the author explores the challenges and drivers faced by textile manufacturers in India, along with providing policy suggestions and highlighting the opportunities for sustainable transitions.

Abstract:
Here we present a critical assessment of oil and gas production narratives in developing countries to highlight barriers to low-carbon transitions, challenge entrenched power dynamics, and create space for more sustainable and equitable alternatives. This brief, based on our recently published paper (Strambo et al., 2025), is mainly intended for academic researchers and civil society organizations working on climate policy, energy transitions and sustainable development, particularly those focused on the challenges and opportunities of phasing out fossil fuel production in low- and lower-middl
