Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of teachers supervision as a tool for their professional development. This area is not yet the subject of much research and is far from being theoretically covered in our context. Likewise, we can talk about "not covering" Czech schools with supervision, which is seen here as worthy of change. The general aim of this work is to give a comprehensive view of this issue and to define the place of supervision in the professional development of teachers. The theoretical part summarizes available information on this topic in our context and links these rather modest information with the relevant theory of the teaching profession and supervision. The introductory chapter is devoted to a summary of existing research in this area. In response to the above research, the following chapter is devoted to a more detailed description of the teacher's profession - its role in the context of today's society and, in particular, to describe the demands and risks of this profession, which corresponds to the needs of helping professions. Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with a topic of continuing professional development of nurses in the Czech Republic. The text is divided into two mutually connected dimensions. The first one focuses on a nurse as a stakeholder with certain motivations, strategies, and attitudes. The second dimension discusses the existing system of continuing professional development for nurses in terms of its implementation, form, as well as dysfunctional elements, and future challenges. The thesis shows a connection between the above dimensions. The formalised system of continuing professional development is supposed to affect nursing profession. At the same time, nurses are expected to be involved in the decision-making process. These assumptions are faced with the reality in the thesis. A qualitative study among nurses and experts leads to a conclusion that the current system does not fulfil nurses' both professional (in terms of quality and relevance of the education provided) and personal (financial and time burden) needs. Thus it hardly achieves its original goals. Should the system be changed, the nurses must engage in the decision-making process, which they currently do not. The continuing professional development might serve as one of the solutions to the insufficient political participation of nurses. Despite...

Abstract:
There are nearly 8 000 teachers of vocational training in the Czech Republic. Their work dramatically influences the future of tens of thousand pupils preparing for specific occupation. These people are being non-formally called master / mistress; and in the past their profession was officially called master of vocational training, master of vocational education. Every graduate from secondary vocational school remembers one or two masters or mistresses who essentially influenced their life and attitude towards work, whether in the best or the worst sense. Despite this fact, we do not know much about teachers of vocational training yet. When we hear the word teacher, we usually think about representatives of other teacher subprofessions- basic school teacher, teacher of general subjects or teacher of vocational subjects. The work of teachers of vocational training seems to be hidden and we must add that these teachers do not dramatically increase the awareness of their work at all. Aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the teacher of vocational training and to identify-on the basis of research the most important work activities or tasks of people performing this profession.
