Abstract:
The article notes that the generated lexical competence involves the mastery of the students with the values of a lexical unit, its spelling and pronunciation, knowledge of the grammatical forms of a word, synonyms and antonyms and by mastering the rules of compatibility with other lexical units. Exercises are an integral part of the formation and improvement of the professionally-oriented lexical competence. They are used at the stages of forming and developing lexical skills. The foreign language professionally oriented vocabulary teaching is based on general didactic principles (availability; scientific content; consciousness; activity; systematic character; consistency and durability of mastering of knowledge, abilities and skills; use of visual methods) and methodological principles (stimulating and motivating a positive attitude to learning a foreign language for specific purposes; considering the individual characteristics of students; professional orientation of teaching foreign language vocabulary; taking into account the degree of professional training of students and the conformity of the content of foreign lexical material to needs of their future professional activities); the principle of systemic learning of a professionally-oriented lexical material on the basis of complex non-communicative and conditionally communicative exercises with an interrelated improvement of skills and abilities of reading, speaking and writing professional orientation, as the formation of the professionally oriented lexical competence should be arranged through the set of exercises, in which the basic principles and training content are implemented. The formation of the professionally-oriented lexical competence has an impact on the improvement and development of the professionally oriented foreign language communicative competence as a whole. The ability to read and understand professionally-oriented literature and carry out professional communication depends on the level of lexical competence formation. In general, in the context of contemporary education the attention should be focused primarily on the new standards, the idea of which should be based on the competence approach, which includes the formation of general competences and needs of the labor market. To stop the outflow of future or practicing lawyers is possible only due to the quality of higher education, which is constantly growing, and is aimed at the expectations of the labour market, as well as it is pursuing a preemptive tactic. Today it is necessary to conduct the mandatory formation of general competences, readiness for the challenges that may appear in the near future

Abstract:
In the age of information and communication technologies the English language plays a significant role both in oral and written communication. The successful performance of computer programming specialists largely depends on their level of lexical competence, so a university course of English for specific purposes (ESP) focused on its development, can be exceedingly useful in the professional training of prospective programmers. This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of the collaborative professional written communication in ESP classrooms to enhance future programmers’ writing skills as well as improve their English lexical competence. To validate the efficiency of the algorithm, the author conducted experimental teaching of the 5th-year students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Ivan Franko Lviv National University in 2017‒2018 academic year. The stages of the algorithm implemented in order to advance the level of English lexical competence were elaborated. Efficiency of the algorithm has been proved on the basis of the results obtained from pre- and post- experimental assessment of students from experimental and control groups. On a practical level, the participants’ writing skills were examined through an English written test prior to and after cooperative learning activities were provided. Growth rate in students from experimental group significantly exceeded the students’ results in the control group. Thus, the efficacy of the suggested algorithm used for developing lexical competence in computer programming students has been proved. In light of the findings, the researcher indicates that teachers can benefit from applying the proposed methodology for collaborative professional writing in English classes, which may in turn develop students’ writing skills and improve their English lexical competence.

Abstract:
Active European integration processes in the state, education and business determine relevance of the study. They pay special attention to the discipline «Foreign language for specific purposes» in the training of agricultural specialists. The purpose of this study is to consider the scientific and methodical aspects of formation of readiness for German-language professionally oriented communication among future agriculturists. Theoretical (analysis, systematization, generalization, modeling) and empirical methods were used to achieve this goal. They allowed to analyze the latest scientific research in the field of foreign language training, problems of readiness for foreign language communication, features of foreign language professionally oriented communication of agro-industrial enterprises` specialists. The analysis of the professional requirements for future farmers, scientific approaches to interpretation of the concept «readiness», modern concepts of foreign language teaching methods gave grounds to specify the concept of readiness for German-speaking professionally oriented communication of agriculturists, which is seen as the competence to use acquired knowledge, ability and skills for successful German-speaking professionally oriented communication. Analysis of the national experience of foreign language training of agricultural sector specialists shows that the main purpose of foreign languages studying in higher educational establishments is the training a specialist who can use the German language as a tool of professional activity and professional knowledge. In order to achieve this goal it is necessary to develop the linguistic, social-cultural, educational and professional components of German-speaking professionally oriented communicative competence. Communication is an integral part of the professional activities of specialists. It is based on general social and psychological patterns and focuses on the successful and effective implementation of professional duties, and includes the exchange of proposals, requirements, views, motives to solve specific problems, sign agreements or establish other relations between the subjects of joint activities. German-language professionally oriented communication has its linguistic features, namely: lexical (terms, scientific and technical phraseology, professionalism, jargon, abbreviations and acronyms), grammatical (nominal style, modal verbs, passive voice, sentence length) and stylistic (metaphor, comparison and epithets). According to the fundamental bases of foreign language training the model of formation of readiness for German-language professionally oriented communication among future agriculturists is proposed, based on the peculiarities of teaching foreign languages in agricultural universities and the specificity of professionally oriented communication of specialists in the agricultural sector. It consists of the following blocks: motivational-target, theoretical-methodological, content-technological and productive-estimated. The effectiveness of the model depends on such factors as: the organization of the appropriate language environment, modeling of professional situations in the classroom and increase motivation for professionally oriented communication. The results of the study are to determine the place of formation of readiness for foreign language communication in the professional education of future farmers, to determine the linguistic features of German-language communication of agronomists, to substantiate the organizational and pedagogical conditions of German-language training and create an appropriate model. The formation of readiness for professionally oriented communication in a foreign language is a systematic, long-term process that involves the development of traditional professional ideas, professional thinking and professional behavior.

Abstract:
The article proposes a concept for researching the conceptual and terminological system of modern pedagogy. In accordance with contemporary demands, the necessity of forming this system has been scientifically substantiated to ensure high-quality professional training of highly qualified and competitive individuals. A well-founded concept enables the study of the genesis of the formation and development of the main categories of pedagogy and assesses the contributions of Ukrainian and foreign educators to their development. It was found that in the system of continuous professional pedagogical training for modern teachers, an important role is played by educational components that ensure a continuous, integrated, and foundational formation in the consciousness and scientific-pedagogical activities of future teachers, developing a complex of general and specialized professional competencies. The structure of the newest educational course "Pedagogy" is presented, which includes professionally oriented sections: "General Pedagogy," "Methodology of Pedagogy," "History of Education and Pedagogical Science," "Didactics," "Theory and Practice of Education," "Fundamentals of an Open Inclusive Educational Environment," and "Organization and Management of an Educational Institution." These sections are fundamental components of the continuous professional and pedagogical training of future teachers at the bachelor's level. The trends in the development of the conceptual and terminological system of pedagogy during this period are determined, including socio-political and economic, socio cultural, pedagogical, and linguistic factors. Guided by logic and the main categories, concepts, and terms of pedagogy, a subject-thematic classification of educational terms has been created. This classification is reflected in conceptual terminological groups that cover the logical-lexical features of educational components of modern pedagogy. Various types of logical connections are considered, including genus-species, species-species, and cause and-effect relationships. It was found that the scientific pedagogical terminology in these conceptual and terminological groups consists of both simple lexemes and complex terms or term-phrases.
