This study aims to examine the determinant of firm value with the moderating role of profitability. The amount of research samples is 81 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019, selected with a purposive sampling technique. This study found that all determinants have no significant effect on firm value, while profitability has a significant effect on firm value. I formally analyze the role of nonperforming loan (NPL) characteristics in explaining NPL profit outcomes compared to the current pricing model for NPLs. I expected that factors included in the current NPL model would not be statistically significant in determining profit outcomes as those factors were considered in determining the purchase price of the asset. Abstract:
This paper examines the factors associated with the adoption of cloud computing and artificial intelligence/machine learning, two emerging digital general-purpose technologies (GPT), as well as firms' post-adoption outcomes. To do so we identify adoption of GPT based on references to these technologies in listed company reports, and merge this with data on their Board of Directors, their hiring activities and their financial performance.
