The subject of this project is to develop an information system for recording study achievements of primary and secondary school students with an online access for their parents. In the first part, the author focuses on a survey of current supply of similar applications already on the market and their properties, with a priority look at the way how they are provided. In the second part the author drafts and develops a new and simple information system, which can compete with other rough applications. Emphasis is given to the simplicity of the application as well as its usage. This application is designed to be provided as 'Software as a service' and therefore is easy to employ.

This thesis deals with the financial literacy and its teaching at Czech primary schools. First, a brief summary of activities supporting financial education is presented. In the second part, there are some of the conclusions of research the level of financial knowledge and also available teaching materials described. The main chapter analyzes the project "Rozumíme penězům" and the textbook "Finanční gramotnost pro 2. stupeň ZŠ". Content and methodological point of view are the most important. The thesis also determines whether both materials meet requirements of Financial Literacy Standards and PISA.

This thesis deals with the possibilities of using the programme Philosophy for Children to fulfill the objectives of the cross-curricular subjects at Primary school. The theoretical part includes a summary of the objectives of elementary education, then it describes the cross-curricular subjects of the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education and Philosophy for Children and their interconnection. In the practical part, seven lessons using methods of Philosophy for Children, taught in the 5th year of Primary school, are described and they are analyzed from the philosophical point of view and from the point of view of including the cross-curricular subjects. In the reflection, these lessons are evaluated and the possibility of developing certain skills of pupils in case of longer-term using of this programme is mentioned.

This diploma theses is focused on problems of educational support tools for pupils of 1 st grade of The Elementary Special School. A theoretical part deals with problems of the mental handicap, mainly factors that significantly influence ability of education, and with a contemporary legislation of education of children with spetial educational needs. Furthermore it describes teaching programmes and didactic tools which are used at The Elementary Special Schools. Research target of the study is to find out a teacher's opinion about current teaching supports for given type of school and a survey of teacher's experience with use of new methods especially in relation to pupils who are usually integrated to their classes. Innovated teaching supports created on the basis of previous experience are subsequently verified in praxis and results of verification are partially documented by examples. According to research, current educational supports are convenient for pupils who cope with stipulated schoolwork easily. The other pupils have considerable difficulties to manage schoolwork therefore they need adapted teaching materials for their educational abilities. This thesis deals with the implementation of the Framework Educational Programme of Basic Education (RVP ZV) in the Czech Republic. It is a brand new educational system which brings in many aspects of modern education and also many essential changes in comparison with the previous educational systems. In the first part of this thesis is described the basic philosophy and the main reasons why such a system has been presented. Then I want to concentrate on the implementation of the Framework Educational Programme of Basic Education to the elementary schools and the creation of the School Educational Programme (ŠVP). The differences in teaching methods of foreign languages are also mentioned. In the last part a questionnaire was used to find out the opinions on the new educational system. The results of this research indicate whether the teachers are in favour of it or not.

The theoretical part depicts the new concept of education, key competencies, goals in primary education and the importance of reading literacy. It presents information about the programmes of Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking (RWCT) and Drama in Education along with their goals, contents and methods and working with artistic texts. The practical part examines how to work with one text in different ways and observes how individual goals in school classes change when using different methods of RWCT and Drama in Education. The diploma thesis Cross-curricular Links Matching Proposed Curriculum for Lower Primary School deals with an issue of cross-curricular links and their usage in Maths teaching. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides an analysis of issues of cross-curricular links and curriculum integration, it introduces The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education, characterises a curriculum of Maths and its application and other areas of education with which a link within the practical part was implemented. It also summarises important features of a Middle Primary School child and it surveys a quality of cross-curricular links usage in contemporary textbooks of Maths. Abstract:
1 Summary Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools. Recently, there has been an increasing level of discussion about religion in the public space. Nonetheless, uneducated opinions are often being used. In my work, I focused on what kind of information are being passed onto pupils of primary schools, regardless of the interest of particular teacher. In the first part of my thesis, I compare basic curriculum documents (so called Whitepaper and Framework Education Program) and individual educational areas. In second part, I work with specific books of selected subjects (history, civics, ethics) that have been authorized by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MEYS). I pay particular attention to how frequently, to what extent and in what context do they referrer about religion (including list of reported religions). Afterwards, I evaluate, whether they take evaluated stands, alternatively whether they encourage pupils to be interested in this area and finally whether they develop pupils' ability to look up relevant information on that subject. The task of this graduation thesis is a composition and verification of the climbing methodology for pupils of 6th {--} 9th classes of an elementary school. The theoretical part is concerned with the illustration of individual knowledge, skills and technics unnecessary for bouldering. Secondly, the question of safety and suitability of this sport for children of the older school age including frequent mistakes in the teaching methodology as well as climbing itself is dealt. The content of the practical part submits especially fourteen teaching units elaborated in the methodological range and analysis of six chosen verification units realized at two groups of probands including their reflection and expert evaluation of the observer. The main part of verification lessons is documented on a video record, which is instrumental to the retrospective appreciation of the verification lesson process.

This thesis deals with uniform maths entrance examination for secondary school studies in education fields with a graduate exam. Thus, all primary school pupils applying for this form of secondary education will take the same tests prepared by Centre for Results in Education. The work includes an analysis of pupil's solutions of selected problematic tasks. A significant proportion of the tested pupils were found to have difficulties in dealing with the selected tasks. The last part of the work contains a collection of tasks that was created on the bases of the results obtained when testing pupils.

This diploma thesis deals with the way to teach politeness in elementary schools. Based on the theoretical literature, in the first theoretical part on the background of the Czech language there are defined basic terms such as pragmalinguistics, politeness principle, politeness strategies, face etc. Considering the didactic character of this work, both verbal and nonverbal aspects of politeness are described in the relation to the teacher-student communication. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of how the aspects of politeness are taught in Czech language lessons and included in three contemporary textbook series. Other source studied is the analysis of the relevant survey among teachers. On the basis of the survey results there are made up some activities with presumably good influence on practicing examined aspects of politeness.

The goal of my diploma thesis is to create a program suitable for sports gymnastics interest group contents at grammar schools and its verification in practice. The main goal is to create and verify a suitable program in sports gymnastics clubs (preparatory level) or in interest groups of sports gymnastics at grammar schools. The research was done at grammar school and nursery school in Sezimovo Ústí (interest groups of sports gymnastics for 7-11 years old pupils) from September to December 2011. The study includes finding the level of movement skills by entrance tests and possible improvement thanks to applied programs - it means finding the final level of movement skills. To find these results of movement skills, the testing battery was used. The results were written into a well-arranged tables and graphs. The diploma thesis includes a newly created program for sports gymnastics interest groups. It should also show this issue of interest group program to teachers and gymnastics coaches and help them create their own programs.

Pro mou diplomovou práci volím problematiku týkající se tvorby školního vzdělávacího programu pro základní vzdělávání, konkrétně školního vzdělávacího programu pro tělesnou výchovu na 2. stupni základní školy. Jedná se o téma velmi aktuální, jelikož od 1.9. 2007 musí všechny základní školy v České republice podle nového vzdělávacího programu, tedy rámcového vzdělávacího programu základního vzdělávání, začít vyučovat v 1. a 6. ročníku. S jeho zavedením přicházejí mnohé připomínky ze strany pedagogických pracovníků. Odkrývají se pozitiva i negativa tohoto nového závazného dokumentu. Prostřednictvím výzkumu bych chtěla zjistit, jaká pozitiva shledávají pedagogičtí pracovníci v rámcovém vzdělávacím programu základního vzdělávání, s jakými překážkami se potýkali při tvorbě školního vzdělávacího programu a jaké změny by uvítali v rámcovém vzdělávacím programu (rozdíl mezi školním vzdělávacím programem a rámcovým vzdělávacím programem bude vysvětlen v kap. 4). Zahájení výuky podle rámcového vzdělávacího programu základního vzdělávání na českých školách současně odstartovalo bouřlivou diskuzi o správnosti nastavených pravidel (tedy rámcovým vzdělávacím programem základního vzdělávání) jak na úrovni odborné tak i laické. i ABSTRACT The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out, whether in The Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education there are topics related to transcendence and whether these topics can be found in textbooks for primary schools. Another aim is to suggest recommendations for teachers, how to develop transcendence in pupils of a primary school. The thesis is focused on development of the vertical direction of transcendence. The theoretical part deals with meaning of the term transcendence. Further, The Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education is analysed. In the research part of the thesis there is described preparation and realization of the analysis of textbooks and also presentation and interpretation of the data gathered by this way. This part is complemented by preparation and realization of interviews with younger school- aged children. The realized interviews were concentrated on the observation of respondents' interest in topics related to the vertical direction of the overlap. In the conclusion of the thesis there are introduced specific recommendations for development of vertical transcendence in children of primary schools. The dissertation introduces the knowledge of the child's ontogenetic development in the early school age and at the beginning of pubescence in connection with a musical development. It also deals with the emotional importance of music in the child's personal development. The following part is devoted to music education at primary schools, their aims, historical context and the current position of music education in the Czech curriculum together with foreign influences. The third chapter focuses on the ongoing structure of music education given in the study programmes for the teaching qualification at the national pedagogical faculties in the Czech Republic. The research part scrutinizes the contemporary situation of music education at primary schools from teachers' point of view and with regards to their undergraduate training. The research concentrates on the experience of teachers who have undergone undergraduate training in the last decade. The aim is also to find out how the situation is perceived by university music lecturers who train future teachers. The questionnaire survey and interviews reveal problems in music education at the elementary schools and also in undergraduate training at pedagogical faculties.

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of safety and protection of children's health. It namely disserts on the occurrence of accidents among children, their prevention and provision of first aid in case of an accident or sudden damage to one's health . The aim of this thesis is to map the current state of accident occurrence among children and the scope of assertion of permanent active prevention with selected primary school pupils. The theoretical part contains epidemiological data concerning accident occurrence among children, types of accidents from the point of view of physical and psychological development of a child and the environment in which these accidents occur and selected preventive measures. Abstract:
The diploma thesis aspires, in its theoretical part, for a description of the theoretical and methodical basis and objectives of the educational process in the courses "Life and Art. " This school subject shall provide pupils of 58th grades in primary school with a basic cultural overview of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture and art. The theses defines the concepts of animation, cultural animation and enculturation, experiential education, creative education and artefiletics, and outlines the prospects of their use in the educational process. The thesis also deals with the theory of perception in art and its connection to the pedagogical practice. It mentions the term genius loci as one of the elements of cognition of an architectural object and the place where it is located. In the practical part of the thesis, the individual architectural object of the Tabor Urban Conservation Area and it's immediate neighborhood are described. The thesis provides cultural, general and local historical, and also the theological context of art styles and places, which are the subject of the educational program. Following that, the thesis introduces examples of didactic methods, applicable in the courses "Life and Art."

The thesis deals with the comparison of physics textbooks for primary schools. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the representation of individual sets of textbooks in primary schools in the South Bohemian Region, to develop and test custom teaching concepts revolving around thematic unit of 'Simple Machines'. This work is addressed primarily to teachers as a tool to enhance teaching effectiveness, to support the imagination and to increase interest in physics among pupils. These are the reasons why thematic unit, called Simple Machines, has been developed in form of interactive presentation, whose contribution and efficiency has been practically verified directly during physics classes in few selected primary schools. Benefits have been verified through accredited didactic tests and their evaluation and results are processed at the end of this thesis.

This diploma thesis deals with problematics of children with risk behavior in elementary schools and possible means of prevention. The thesis is divided into two main parts. Theoretical part lists types of risk behavior, their causes and prevention of these problems. It also informs about prevention programs in elementary schools. The practical part then presents the results of hybrid research - questionnaire surveys and interviews. The target of the quantitative survey is to find out what types of risk behavior are most common in elementary schools, what is the techers' point of view at this issue and how they work with such a student. The qualitative research further informs about specific problems of children with risk behavior and offers more detailed results about occurrence of preventive programs in primary schools. The thesis was created as a part of GAJU Project (GAJU 154/2016/S) "Preparedness of students and fresh graduates of PF JU to solve educational problems of pupils."

The proper way to manage biological waste has only recently become a topic of discussion and the public still does not have enough information about it and does not have a comprehensive opinion. In order for bio-waste to be properly managed, knowledge of this topic and positive attitude towards it is necessary, in class this could be achieved by activating pupils through project based education. Teaching in projects is a great way to understand the issue, which can influence pupils' attitudes towards bio-waste management. The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a project on the topic of biodegradable waste, and then to find out how the knowledge and opinions of students about bio-waste have changed. The created project was verified at the lower secondary school, for which it is primarily intended. A total of 54 6th-year pupils was involved in this project. They were given a pretest before the start of the project, finding out the initial knowledge about bio-waste and their opinion on the classification of bio-waste. After the project, the pupils completed a posttest and by comparing the individual answers, it was determined whether and how the knowledge of the tested pupils and their attitude towards the topic changed. The aim of this work is to show the way of gender identity construction, the way of textbooks authorization in the Czech Republic, to confirm or to refute gender correction in school education and in the education materials, to show the impact of educational materials on the socialization of children and gender stereotypes in society. The main aim of this work is the gender correction of textbooks for the first class of basic school - Primers. The analysis indicated the following results: The analysed textbooks for the first class of basic school - Primers are not gender correct by both quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The textbooks which were analysed support gender stereotypes in which women are represented in the private life more often than men and only in typical women roles - care of children and housework. Men are represented in private life through their hobbies; they are very passive in housework or care of children. Men are represented in wider varieties of social life than women very often.

With respect to the increasingly high importance which the foreign language mastery comes to play in the life of the 21 st century man and with respect to the trends in the contemporary educational system which attempts to eliminate the ineffective and no longer satisfactory mechanic memorising and route-learning, a special tendency has appeared to base English teaching and also the teaching of all school subjects on the creation of mutually bound interdisciplinary relations. Furthermore, in the context of the reorganised Europe of the present day, it is not possible at schools any more to rely on out-dating principles, which have to be, in fact, selectively renewed so as to fit the demands of the today's society, which points out, in fact, the necessity to view education as a complex of educational and instructional perspectives which can be successfully realised at schools only if new and modified ways of teaching and learning are sought and applied in order to complement cleverly the cultural heritage represented by the previous generations. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of integration of the Czech republic to the European Union and its teaching in civic education at lower secondary school. By the initial analysis of the work I will set down the most important outcomes in curriculum the task of the didactic procedures. The topic is represented in the educational area Man in Society and in the cross- curricural subject Education Towards Thinking in European and Global Contexts contained in Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Suggestions of didactic procedures are the main part of the thesis. They will follow the pupils' own experience and they should help them to realize the ifluence of membership in the European Union on their everyday life. Each topic begins with an introduction of the issue, which contains a brief theoretical background of the topic. The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden. The diploma thesis focuses on didactic and historical analysis of history textbooks used during the Communist totalitarian regime at secondary schools in Czechoslovakia republic between 1948-1989. Goal of this thesis was to find out if there were any changes of historical events interpretation of Classical antiquity in consideration of political development in the country. The theoretical part consists of brief political development and development of education in Czechoslovakia in observed period. The practical part deals with the analysis and the comparison of textbooks from totalitarian and present era with emphasis on didactics and content. I concluded that interpretative texts influenced by the communist ideology were more focused on social problems in contemporary society. Textbooks were also focused on slavery issue, especially their hard life and described passed slave rebellions. This is most obvious in textbooks published in the 1950s. The process of immunization is typically made by the administration of vaccines, given in certain time intervals that are determined in accordance with the rules of law. Before vaccine administration, vaccine should be thoroughly checked to protect security of patient's health. Ongoing research and advanced development projects help fight against diseases to protect the human organism. One of the themes that plays role in the vaccination is the financing of research and development as well as financing immunizations itself. As vaccination is as important for adults as it is for children, providing all informations to students is very necessary. This thesis deals with the comparison of didactical equipment of Chemistry Textbooks for Basic Schools in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theory of textbooks and their research within it. The next part, which includes comparison of the textbooks, is pursued by the author from the perspective of two methods: the first being The Degree of Didactical Equipment and the second one The Determination of Didactical Criterion. According to the results of this thesis, the Chemistry Textbooks for Basic Schools in the Czech Republic are alike in its didactical equipment. There are similar structural components in each analysed textbook. There were found only small differences between the best didactically equipped textbooks (the textbooks of the publishers Nová škola and Fraus) and those with the lowest outcome (the textbooks of the publisher Taktik), although the time period between publishing the newest and the oldest textbook is more than 25 years. Due to homogeneity of the results and therefore lower possibility of comparing textbooks the method of the Determination of Didactical Criterion was applied. Cílem mé práce bylo přispět všem, kteří si uvědomují, že získávání grantů je pro rozvoj školy nezbytné, k orientaci v grantových nabídkách a grantové politice, upozornit také na některé systémové nedostatky a nejasnosti při výběru jednotlivých projektů. Práce neměla za úkol tyto nedostatky řešit, jejím smyslem bylo na ně poukázat a umožnit zájemcům o granty orientaci v této problematice a snad díky tomu zvýšit jejich šanci uspět ve výběrovém řízení. Z mé práce vyplývá, že granty jako další zdroj financování jsou přínosem pro české školství a bylo by velkou chybou této příležitosti nevyužívat.

The thesis deals with a support of children's reading. The work is aimed to factors and actors influencing reading education. The first part solves theoretical definition and the meaning of reading. Primarily there are explained two important terms related to the topic - reading and a reader. Further it is proceeding by attention given to different phases of reading education before and during school attendance. Primarily three environments influencing reading literacy were observed. These include family, school and public library. Furthermore, national representative projects supporting reading primarily in libraries are shortly presented at this thesis as well. The second part is focused on the Municipal Library of Prague, specifically Smichov branch and its activities. In this part are charted various programmes for children. Repeated activities for parents with children or for children alone are observed. Also, events for groups of preschool and school children are described. The important part of presented work deals with survey of cooperation between Smichov branch and local schools. The research results are to determine practical experience of teachers from these schools in activities of Smichov branch and in their cooperation with this library.

Title: Corrective physical education in pnmary school curricula (grades 1-9) and its implementation in a targeted experimental group of older students at the Strančice Primary School. This thesis summarizes the current corrective physical education included in primary school curricula. It deals with the effectiveness of incorporating corrective exercises in physical education classes and the decrease in functional musculoskeletal disorders in a selected group of students. Aim of the thesis: The thesis attempts to map the use of corrective physical education in primary school curricula. lt also clarifies the necessity of regular inclusion of corrective exercises in physical education classes, especially in a selected group for which functional musculoskeletal disorders were found. The thesis evaluates the effectiveness of using corrective exercises by observing a selected group of students with functional musculoskeletal disorders throughout a certain period of time. Methodology: A selected group of second-level primary school students were observed long- term and tested using simple tests to map the current state of a group of primary school students. Master thesis Media education of elementary school children, was written because of the need to analyze the current situation of media education. Media education at Czech schools is based on normative materials released by the government - Rámcový vzdělávací program and Doporučené očekávané výstupy. The theoretical part of this study introduces these the above mentioned materials and other legislative documents. It also brings a summary of historical development of media education and a list of the most important education materials, which were written in the past twenty years. For more than ten years Czech schools have been influenced by normative materials, which define how media education should be taught. The aim of this thesis is to focus on primary school children at the age of 9 to 11 years. A practical part of this study brings a detailed look at one class in a Prague based school. Interviews with pupils were based on outputs from normative materials Doporučené očekávané výstupy. The author's aim was to verify if children's knowledge of media corresponds to the said materials. Part of the in-depth interviews are samples of audiovisual materials and other activities.
