Motiviert durch die zunehmende Bedeutung des Projektgeschäfts und einer dennoch oft problembehafteten Projektabwicklung, wurde ein Forschungsprojekt initiiert, das die bausteinbasierte Integration von Projektplanung, -bearbeitung und -abschluss fokussiert. Das ganzheitliche Modell unterstützt durch die sinnhafte Beschreibung von Bausteinen, Prozessen sowie technischen Funktionen eine projektbegleitende Erstellung von Projektabschlussdokumentation und Projektabschlussbericht.   Project-oriented work has become increasingly important. However, many projects lack comprehensive documentation of project-related operational tasks. This paper introduces an integrative model of building blocks for project planning, execution and completion which supports project documentation and the preparation of final project reports. The model defines the essential building blocks, processes and technical functions required for a software prototype.

The article addresses both theoretical and methodological issues related to the documentation of ethnic minorities in present-day Armenia. Normally, Armenia is regarded as a prototypical example for a statehood that is marked for a homogenous ethnic composition. In fact, social groups typically referred to as ‘minorities’ constitute only some 2% of the total population. The minority map of Armenia includes fourteen groups two of which (Tats and Udis) represent migrants and refugees from Azerbaijan having arrived in Armenia as late as 1990. The documentation of the minorities in Armenia calls for a reconsideration of parameters of ethnicity and for the corresponding adjustment of methodology and descriptive patterns reflecting the peculiarities of ethnicity in Armenia. Most importantly, we cannot apply a unified, mono-dimensional perspective starting, e.g., from a parameter, such as ‘language’. Rather, we have to set up a weighted network of parameters that include both sociocultural and sociolinguistic features. The paper briefly illustrates this point with the help of preliminary data stemming from fieldwork related to the project “Minorities of Armenia: A Sociocultural and Sociolinguistic Survey”. It will be argued that the social construction of collective identity and ethnicity is controlled by both tendencies of growing self-awareness and likewise trends toward transcultural processes present especially in the diatopic and diastratic periphery of the given minorities.

This article concerns the archiving of qualitative data in Europe. Its aim is to present selected models of archivization of this type of material in various European institutions, including the British ESCS (Economic and Social Data Service Qualidata) belonging to the UK Data Archive, the Austrian WISDOM (Wiener Institut für Sozialwissenschaftliche Dokumentation und Methodik), the Irish IQDA (Irish Qualitative Data Archive), the German ALLF (Archiv für Lebenslaufforschung), or the OSA (Open Society Archives) operating in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. The examples mentioned give rise to reflections on the need, potential, and limitations of conducting a similar project in Poland. The author discusses the results of the ‘Interpretive Research into Life Styles: Digitalization, Archivization, and Methodological Revisitation’ pilot project and the Archive of Qualitative Data pilot project of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Die Gesellschaft für Historische Tonträger (GHT) ist im November 2002 als eingetragener Verein gegründet worden, der einerseits aus der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Diskografie, die sich aus Vertretern der Österreichischen Mediathek, dem Wiener Phonogrammarchiv und dem Wiener Phonomuseum und privaten Diskografen gebildet hatte, und andererseits aus den MitarbeiterInnen eines aus Mitteln der Europäischen Union geförderten Projektes, entstanden ist. Ziel dieser internationalen Gesellschaft ist es, Tondokumente aus der frühen Tonaufnahmeepoche (Daten und Inhalte) zu erhalten, die Erkenntnisse synergetisch unter wissenschaftlichen Standards zu dokumentieren, zu archivieren und zugänglich zu machen. Grundsätzlich auch das allgemeine Bewusstsein für dieses Thema zu heben. Schallplatten sind, auch verständlich aus der Eigenheit des Mediums, das Ende des 19.Jahrhunderts erfunden wurde, unter speziellen Voraussetzungen zu dokumentieren und zu archivieren. Nach Übernahme privater Archive von Schellackplatten und Wachszylindern (insgesamt etwa 30 000 Daten deren bedeutendste die Sammlung Alfred Seiser ist) wurden diese Schallplatten- Daten mit einem dafür geeigneten Archivierungssystem, das im Rahmen eines internationalen Projektes entwickelt wurde, digitalisiert. Label und Spiegel einer Schellackplatte geben uns Informationen, die weit über den eigentlichen Inhalt der Platte hinausgehen. Durch den Aufbau eines Netzwerkes von Schallackplatten-Sammlern und Kooperation in verschiedenen internationalen Projekten (seit 2008 „The Lindström Project“, seit 2014 BEKA-Reise um die Welt), kann auf das Know-how von mehr als 200000 Daten zurückgegriffen werden. Die Kooperation mit dismarc – EUROPEANA seit 2009 und dem Projekt „Archiv der Stimmen“ der SLUB Dresden sichern die gewonnenen Daten und bieten offenen Zugang für die interessierte Öffentlichkeit.

Dieser Artikel gründet auf dem vom BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) geförderten Projekt «Pflegeprozess, Standardisierung und Qualität im Dienstleistungssektor Pflege», das zum Ziel hat, eine Struktur zur Erfassung und Dokumentation von Pflegeprozessen im Sinne einer Typologie sowie eine Standardisierung zum Austausch von PatientInnendaten zu entwickeln und verbindlich festzulegen. Die Typologie resultiert aus den Ergebnissen einer Ist-Analyse von 128 PatientInnen/KlientInnen in Krankenhäusern, Altenpflegeeinrichtungen und ambulanten Pflegediensten sowie einer Auseinandersetzung mit Pflegeklassifikationen. Inhaltlich wurde die Typologie in Zusammenarbeit mit PflegepraktikerInnen aus den genannten Einrichtungen erarbeitet. Die Struktur, und damit die Übertragung der Daten, wird anhand eines auf Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik basierenden Netzwerkes realisiert. Die Reichweite des Projektes ist regional, national und international. Die Projektleitung und -organisation sowie die EDV-technische Umsetzung der Typologie erfolgte durch das Bremer Institut für Betriebstechnik und angewandte Arbeitswissenschaft (BIBA-ATOP). Für das pflegewissenschaftliche Know-how und die inhaltliche Entwicklung der Typologie war das Institut für angewandte Pflegeforschung (iap) verantwortlich.

Im Rahmen des vom BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) geförderten Projekts „TempoPlant“ wird eine teilautonome Fertigungszelle für die Herstellung orthopädischer Implantate erforscht. Dabei wird ein Bearbeitungszentrum mit Messtechnik zur Qualitätskontrolle und Prozessüberwachung ausgestattet. Die gewonnenen Daten werden für die Prozessüberwachung, die Qualitätsregelung und die Dokumentation entsprechend den Richtlinien der Medical Device Regulation (MDR) genutzt.   As part of the research project TempoPlant, funded by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung), a semi-autonomous manufacturing cell for production of orthopedic implants is being investigated. For this purpose, a machining center is equipped with in-line measurement systems for process forces and the component’s geometry. The acquired data will be used for process monitoring, quality control and documentation according to the guidelines of Medical Device Regulation (MDR).

In response to a crescendo of public and scholarly interest, over the last two decades there has been a noticeable and mostly welcome surge in publications that focus on language documentation, conservation, and revitalization. Early and high impact contributions in Hale et al. (1992) included a now seminal article by Michael Krauss which called for urgent action to prevent linguistics from going down in history as the ‘only science that presided obliviously over the disappearance of 90% of the very field to which it is dedicated’ (Krauss 1992:10). There then followed a discussion on the topic by Ladefoged (1992) and a prompt reply by Dorian (1993) that situated the issue of language endangerment as one deserving of sustained academic attention. Alongside swelling bookshelves that speak to the urgency of this work, major research programs funded by private philanthropic organizations and research councils were also being established at this time. The Foundation for Endangered Languages (FEL) was founded in 1995, followed a year later by the Endangered Language Fund (ELF). With the establishment of the Dokumentation Bedrohter Sprachen program (DoBeS) in 2000, the Hans Rausing Endangered Languages Project (HRELP) in 2002, and the Documenting Endangered Languages (DEL) program funded by the US government in 2005, the last two decades bear witness to a steady increase in support, funding, and visibility for the documentation and preservation of endangered languages.

Arbeit ist das halbe Leben…: Erzählungen vom Wandel der Arbeitswelten seit 1945 (“Working is Half your Life…: Telling the Transformations of the Working World since 1945”), Kinder – Küche – Karriere: Acht Frauen erzählen (“Kids – Kitchen – Career: Eight Women Tell their Stories”), and Eigene Wege: Eine Bergbäuerin erzählt (“My Own Ways: A Mountain Farmer Tells Her Story”) are among the most recent volumes of the series “Damit es nicht verlorengeht…” (translated as “Lest We Forget…” on the website of the Department of Economic and Social History of the University of Vienna), edited by the association for the “Dokumentation lebensgeschichtlicher Aufzeichnungen” (“Collection of Biographical Records”) in Vienna. Both the collection and the series were founded in 1983 by the historian Michael Mitterauer, two years after the re-launch of the Mass Observation project in the UK (Sheridan 27), with the aim to document and archive the everyday lives of Austrians. The collection holds autobiographical manuscripts by more than 3,000 people, most of them born in Austria after 1900 (see Müller 2009, 93–94). Many of the contributions were elicited with the help of calls for contributions (“Schreibaufrufe”) that aimed at collecting material on specific topics. Günter Müller, the curator of the collection, stresses the close cooperation of the association with those who respond to such calls: every single submission receives a detailed personal reply, and the respondents are assisted in their attempts to keep alive their memories and experiences for posterity. This article was submitted to the European Journal of Life Writing on March 15th 2017 and published on April 27th 2017.

ZusammenfassungAusgehend von der Notwendigkeit, die Integration von Forschungsdatenmanagement in bestehende Forschungsprozesse zu optimieren, stellt dieser Beitrag das BMBF-Projekt PODMAN vor. Es kombiniert Konzepte des Prozessmanagements und der Psychologie zu einem prototypischen Forschungsdatenmanagement-Modell. Hierbei bezieht es Forscher aus den Geisteswissenschaften und der Psychologie sowie die Infrastruktureinrichtungen an der Universität Trier und dem Zentrum für Psychologische Information und Dokumentation (ZPID) mit ein.

Das keilschriftlich notierte Akkadische (Babylonisch-Assyrisch) ist die älteste überlieferte semitische Sprache und zugleich nach Dauer und Umfang der Dokumentation auch die bedeutendste altorientalische Sprache und eine der am besten belegten Sprachen der Antike. Als sprachhistorisches Reservoir ist das Akkadische bislang noch nicht umfassend erforscht und analysiert worden. Diese Aufgabe soll das Projekt erfüllen, wobei zahlreiche Erkenntnisse sprach- und kulturgeschichtlicher Art zu erwarten sind.

In 2020, the meatpacking district of Stockholm (Slakthusområdet) is at the beginning of a period of change. A lot of its buildings are being demolished, or at least gutted, to transform a historical area of industry into a more urban district of housing, offices, trade, and services along with new parks and squares (Stockholms Stad, 2020). This thesis project is specifically about the first building that was torn down as part of the development of the area, Sandhagen 2. We should consider our condemned buildings a precious resource and extract from them rather than from the earth. In every house there is invested energy which is lost the day it is demolished but there is also something else that is lost other than precious resources. The research aims to highlight the importance of reuse not from the more obvious sustainability point of view, but as something that can be aesthetically motivated. The method involves a dissection of Sandhagen 2, extracting interior architectural elements without excessive alterations, and making an organized taxonomy. The taxonomy is then rearranged into a new spatial composition. How can a space be created from a taxonomy defined by an interior architect? How does a material’s earlier life add or take away potential in its future life?  The proposal is a strange space where the tension created by reuse is completely between the elements themselves, a result of having to become the conventional parts of architecture that complete a space; steps, something to sit on, floor, partitions.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts under vårterminen 2016 för högskoleingenjörsprogrammet i innovationsteknik och design vid fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap på Karlstads universitet. Stora delar av arbetet har utförts hos uppdragsgivaren Emerson Process Management AB i Karlstad. Målet med projektet har varit att förbättra företagets interna projektöverlämningar. För att kunna göra projektöverlämningarna mellan projektavdelningen och serviceavdelningen mer enhetliga samt att kunna kvalitetssäkra dem, har en manual tagits fram som är tänkt att användas vid samtliga projektöverlämningar. Manualen innehåller information om hur en projektöverlämning mellan projektavdelningen och serviceavdelningen ska genomföras. Manualen inkluderar en beskrivning på vilka moment som ska ingå i överlämningsfasen av ett projekt samt vem som är ansvarig för de olika momenten. Även information om vilka personer som ska medverka under själva överlämningen, en agenda för överlämningsmötet samt vilka dokument som lämnas över till serviceavdelningen finns förklarat i manualen. Det har även skapats en mall på en mappstruktur som ska kunna användas av projektledarna för att lagra de dokument som serviceavdelningen behöver efter överlämningen från projektavdelningen. Denna mappstruktur, innehållande de dokument som serviceavdelningen behöver, är sedan tänkt kunna kopieras och sparas på en server inom företaget som medarbetarna på serviceavdelningen har tillgång till och där de kan sortera mapparna som de själva önskar. Syftet med detta är att medarbetarna på serviceavdelningen lätt ska kunna hitta de dokument de behöver och därmed spara tid och resurser på att slippa leta igenom onödig information. Att samtliga projektledare använder samma struktur för att lagra dokument kommer även hjälpa till att säkerställa att inga dokument glöms bort eller försvinner i överlämningsprocessen. Förstudien av projektet har innefattat informationsinsamlingar och intervjuer med anställda på de olika avdelningarna inom Emerson Process Management AB. Förstudien har sedan sammanställts i en kravspecifikation och en Service Blueprint. Utifrån detta material har sedan flera olika konceptgenereringar kunnat utföras och genom olika elimineringsmetoder, viktningar samt utvärdering av de framtagna lösningsförslagen kunde ett slutgiltigt koncept väljas. Det valda konceptet testades och en slutanpassning gjordes för att få ett så bra resultat som möjligt. En dialog fördes med personal på Emerson Process Management AB genom hela projektet för att få ett resultat som var anpassat till företagets verksamhet. Det lämnades även över förslag till Emerson Process Management AB på hur implementeringen av de nya rutinerna och verktygen skulle kunna genomföras. Detta för att på ett så bra sätt som möjligt få samtliga berörda parter att acceptera förändringsarbetet och genomföra förändringarna på ett positivt och lättarbetat sätt.
This Degree Project has been carried out during the spring semester of 2016 for the Degree of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering at the faculty of health, science and technology at Karlstad University. Most of the work has been done at Emerson Process Management AB in Karlstad. The purpose of the project was to improve the company’s internal project handovers. In order to make the project handovers between the project department and the service department more uniform and to be able to assure the quality of them, a manual has been developed. The manual includes information about the handover procedure, the different tasks that has to be performed during the project handover and also who is responsible for these tasks. The manual also includes information about the participants that are required to attend the handover meetings, agenda topics and information about what type of handover documents that should be handed over to the service organization during the handover meeting. A template for a folder structure has also been made, that is supposed to be used by project managers to store the documents that the service department will need after the handover. This templates, including the documents involving the projects, is then to be copied and stored on a server that the service department can access. On this server, the staff working in the service department can sort the different templates in a way that they desire to make it easier for them to find the documents they need. The fact that all project managers uses the same folder structure, staff at the service department will easily find the information they need, leading to large cuts in time and resources for the whole company. It also helps to ensure that no documents are forgotten or lost in the handover process. The feasibility study of the project has involved a lot of gathering of information and interviews with staff from different departments of the company. The feasibility study was then compiled in a requirement specification and a Service Blueprint. Based on this material, a number of solutions could then be carried out. Through various elimination methods, weightings and evaluation of the developed solutions, a final concept could then be chosen. The selected concept was tested and a final adjustment was made to get as good a result as possible. A dialogue was conducted with staff at Emerson Process Management AB throughout the project in order to get a result that was adapted to the company's operations. A proposal was also submitted to Emerson Process Management AB on how the implementation of these new procedures and tools would be realized. This was made so that all concerned parties in the best way possible could accept the change and implement it in a positive and easy-to-use manner.

Den här rapporten är ett resultat av ett examensarbete på 30 högskolepoäng, vid Linköpings Universitet. Rapporten behandlar projektmodeller som kan appliceras på projekt vars syfte är att ta fram informationsmaterial för industriverksamhet. Idén till arbetet väcktes då SSAB beställde en informationsfilm som de skulle kunna använda vid upphandling med nya leverantörer. Filmen skulle belysa hur deras produkter ska hanteras. Filmprojektet var mycket omfattande och för att kunna utföra det med ett tillfredsställande resultat krävdes det att arbetet strukturerades upp ordentligt. Ett antal projektmodeller undersöktes och då ingen var tillfredställande nog, skapades en egen modell, EUF-modellen. Modellen byggdes upp och testades sedan skarpt på filmprojektet på SSAB. Därefter kunde modellen utvärderas och förbättras på de punkter som var svaga.

Resultatet blev en modell som kan användas vid framställning av informationsmaterial, där modellen anpassas efter det specifika projektet. Modellen testades dock bara för filmprojekt, vilket vinklar resultatet. Förhoppningen är detta till trots att EUF-modellen kan användas vid framtagning av alla slags informationsmaterial, såsom film, foldrar, bildspel och informationssidor på Internet.

This report is the result of a master thesis at Linköping´s University. The report deals with project models that can be applied at projects where information materials are developed. The idea to this thesis was developed when SSAB ordered an information film that was going to be used in purchases with new suppliers. The film was going to illustrate how the products of SSAB should be handled. The film project was extensive and to manage creating a film with a satisfactory result, the workflow demanded good structure. Different project models were examined, and when no model that suited this kind of project was found, an own model was created, the EUF-model. The model was developed and tested at the film project at SSAB. Afterward the model could be evaluated and improved were weakness was discovered in the model.

The result was a model that can be used when manufacturing information material, where the model can be adjusted to the specific project. The model was only evaluated on a film project, which biased the result. But the expectations are that the EUF-model can be used on all modes of information materials, such as film, folders and information pages on the Internet.

Stöd från kollegor och chefer är två viktiga faktorer till bra arbetsmiljö. Ett annat viktigt stöd är dokumentation. Att vid osäkerhet kunna finna svar och information som är dokumenterat kan leda till minskad oro och en känsla av trygghet. Dokumentation kan föras på olika sätt beroende på behov och förutsättning. I detta projekt har dokumentationsbehovet hos en städenhet undersökts och analyserats. Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbetet som ägde rum under våren 2019 på civilingenjörsprogrammet Teknisk design på Luleå tekniska universitet. Den kommunala städenheten utför städning och golvrengöring i de flesta lokaler där kommunal verksamhet bedrivs i Piteå kommun. Städenheten har i dagsläget 85 fastanställda och 8 vikarierande städare i organisationen som utför städning inom fyra olika geografiska områden i kommunen. För att få ihop sina arbetstimmar är flera av städarna schemalagda i fler än ett arbetsobjekt. I dagsläget är det städarnas uppgift att själva sätta ihop scheman för när olika typer av städning ska ske på deras arbetsobjekt. Dokumentationen sker oftast i pappersformat och schemats utformning varierar både från utseende och till innehåll mellan arbetsobjekt. Med anledning av att dessa scheman är i pappersformat blir det också svårt för arbetsobjekt att ta inspiration från varandra gällande schemats innehåll och struktur. Att variationen på dessa scheman är så stor trots att de egentligen innehåller samma typ av information leder till en osäkerhet bland städarna. Under projektet har städarna fått besvara en enkät som innehöll en stor bredd på frågor, bland annat hur de upplever stöd, motivation och arbetsbelastningar. Dessa frågor användes till att kartlägga hur städarna upplevde olika ämnen inom organisationen. Observationer har också utförts på städarna där de har genomfört storstädningar och allergistädningar. Städenheten hade även arbetsplatsträffar och en utbildning för nya städare under projektets gång vilket gjorde det möjligt att även observera dessa tillfällen. En workshop där städarna fick reflektera och besvara olika diskussionsfrågor kopplade till dokumentation och information genomfördes i slutet av projektet för att samla in städarnas tankar för att använda till idé- och konceptgenerering. Projektet har resulterat i ett lösningsförslag på ett digitaliserat dokumentationsverktyg som städenheten kan ta vidare till utvecklingsarbete. Lösningsförslaget flyttar den i dagsläget stängda och låsta dokumentationen i pappersformat till ett mer öppet och lättåtkomligt digitaliserat dokumentationsverktyg. Verktyget ger städarna möjlighet att bland annat lära av varandra oberoende av arbetsobjekt, få ett stöd vid osäkerhet samt få in en gemensam struktur och rutin inom hela städenheten som skulle kunna förbättra den osäkerhet som i dagsläget finns gällande dokumentation. Implementering av ett dokumentationsverktyg åt städarna skulle bidra med enhetlighet, förbättrad arbetsmiljö och en möjlighet att bevara kunskap och information inom organisationen. Den kunskap och information som i dagsläget är person- och byggnadsbunden skulle kunna bevaras och hjälpa städenheten växa samt bibehålla status och konkurrenskraft om den dokumenterades. Ett digitaliserat dokumentationsverktyg skulle kunna vara lösningen till det behovet.
Support from colleagues and managers are two important factors to a good work environment. Another important support is documentation. Finding answers and information that is documented in cases of uncertainty can lead to reduced concern and a sense of security. Documentation can be carried out in different ways depending on the need and prerequisites. During this project the need of documentation at a cleaning unit have been investigated and analyzed. This report is the result of a master thesis project that took place during spring of 2019 at the Master of Science program in Industrial Design Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. The municipal cleaning unit carries out cleaning and floor cleaning in most premises where municipal activities are conducted in the municipality of Piteå. The cleaning unit currently has 85 permanent and 8 temporary cleaners in the organization who perform cleaning in four different geographical areas in the municipality. To get the required working hours several of the cleaners are schedule in more than one workplace. At the moment it is the cleaners task to assemble schedules when different types of cleaning are to be performed on their workplace. The documentation usually takes place in paper form and the design of the schedule varies from appearance to content between workplaces. Since these schedules are in paper form it is also difficult for workplaces to take inspiration from each other regarding the content and structure of the schedule. The fact that the variation on these schedules is so great even though they contain the same type of information leads to an uncertainty among the cleaners. During the project, the cleaners had to answer a survey that contained a wide range of questions to get an understanding on their thoughts regarding support, motivation, workloads among others. These questions were used to map how the cleaners experienced different topics within the organization. Observations have also been made on the cleaners where they have carried out major cleaning and allergy cleaning. The cleaning unit also had workplace meetings and an education for new cleaners during the project, which made it possible to also observe these occasions. A workshop where the cleaners had to reflect and answer various discussion issues related to documentation and information was carried out at the end of the project to collect the cleaners thoughts to use for idea and concept generation. The project has resulted in a solution proposal for a digitized documentation tool that the cleaning unit can carry on to development work. The solution proposal moves the now closed and locked documentation in paper format to a more open and easily accessible digitized documentation tool. The tool gives the cleaners the opportunity to, among others, learn from each other independently of workplace, get a support in case of uncertainty and get a common structure and routine within the whole cleaning unit that could improve the uncertainty that currently exists regarding documentation. Implementing a documentation tool for the cleaners would contribute with structure, uniformity, improve work environment and an opportunity to maintain knowledge within the organization. The knowledge and information that now is locked to people and workplaces could be preserved and help the cleaning unit grow and maintain status and competitiveness if documented. A digitized documentation tool could be the solution to that need.

Projekt används i företag för att utföra en aktivitet. Det finns ett antal kriterier som ett projekt skall uppfylla för att bli kallat ett projekt. Vid genomförandet av ett projekt följs en projektmodell för stöd och riktlinjer så att slutmålet kan uppnås. En projektmodell har flera faser, där varje fas har sin egen understruktur av dokumentation och milstolpar.

Arbetets syfte är att illustrera, genom en jämförelse, hur tre olika projektmodeller är konstruerade. Jämförelsen mellan dessa projektmodeller ger en överblick om hur modellerna är uppbyggda i förhållande till varandra. Det har utförts en kontroll av ifall modellerna kan komplettera varandra samt om viss dokumentation, milstolpar och andra projektsteg enbart förekommer i vissa modeller.

En litteraturstudie genomfördes där en metamodell skapades för att kunna jämföra de olika projektmodellerna. Projektmodellerna jämfördes med avseende på fasernas innehåll. Utifrån analysen av den utförda litteraturstudie har det konstaterats att det finns dokumentation och milstolpar som är gemensamma i de olika projektmodellerna. Det har även framkommit att viss dokumentation och milstolpar endast förekommer i vissa modeller.

Studie av kommunikation i projekt och identifikation av konflikterna som står som hinder för projektet.. Den studien består av olika tester, en intervju och en webbsida. Dessa metoder är lämpliga för just det studerade projektets situation och struktur och kan testa olika vinklar i kommunikationen. Fokusområden är: - Kvalitet - Struktur Utgående från den ovannämnda faktorerna har jag med hjälp av projektägaren och projektledaren gjort en del antaganden som berör kommunikationen i projektet och därefter har jag använt olika metoder för att testa dem. Svaren som jag fick utav dessa tester gav en bild om validiteten och de följande testerna har varit kompletterande till de föregående.

Abstract

In order to stay competitive in today’s changing business world, companies need to manage

the increased complexity as they evolve. To be able to handle this complexity, many companies

chose to implement an ERP system. Investing in an ERP system is not something that

is made in a trice but is a large investment which together with today’s low-profit margins in

companies makes it essential to keep the costs as low as possible. More than half of the total

cost for an ERP investment is said to be related to costs for the system’s maintenance and

support. Documentation is one of the factors which affect this cost, and if it is not made satisfactorily

it is said to result in a considerable increase of the system’s total cost. This is why

it is important not to overlook the documentation as a part of ERP system development

project.

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate the existing documentation routines in ERP

system development projects at AB Volvo’s subsidiary Volvo IT, in order to find suggestions

of improvement for future projects. In order to fulfill the purpose of the study, we formed a

research question with three sub-questions and through a deep analysis of the empirical material

we presented the answers to these questions as the conclusions of this thesis.

Our study is based on an inductive research approach using a case study to gain deeper and

more helpful qualitative knowledge and data. The empirical data was analyzed using the

template analysis method where we divided the collected data into appropriate categories.

The knowledge created through this study is of exploratory, normative, predictive and categorical

nature.

After having analyzed the results from our case study we found several suggestions of improvements

for Volvo IT to use in future projects. For other companies involved in ERP

system development projects of their own, the conclusions of this thesis will work as valuable

issues to take into consideration for upcoming projects. We have concluded that the

main reason behind lacking quality of documentation in the development projects is not the

unawareness of its importance, but the absence of concrete evidence of high quality documentation’s

positive effects on a system’s total cost. We believe that in order to achieve documentation

of high quality, there needs to be a change of attitude to documentation as a

work task and the task itself must be higher prioritized in the projects. Another important

suggestion is that a control of the conducted documentation’s quality must be done, not only

a control of the existence of the right kind of documents. We are of the opinion that a company

should not allocate resources to create a method of documentation before the importance

of high quality documentation is clarified. Ultimately, we believe that the system development

process should be focused around the customer, because of the more frequent use

of custom made solutions and to help the people in the project to set the right level of abstraction

on the documentation.

För att företag ska kunna behålla sin konkurrenskraft i näringslivet, behöver de hela tiden utvecklas.

Men med utveckling kommer en ökad komplexitet som måste hanteras på något

sätt. Många företag väljer då att investera i ett affärssystem (s.k. ERP-system), vilket inte är

något som görs lättvindigt utan är en ansenlig investering. Detta faktum tillsammans med

dagens låga vinstmarginaler i företag gör att det är väsentligt att hålla kostnaderna så låga

som möjligt. Mer än hälften av kostnaderna för ett ERP-system sägs vara relaterat till underhålls-

och supportverksamhet. En av de faktorer som påverkar denna stora kostnad är dokumentationsaktiviteter,

vilken ifall de inte är utförd på rätt sätt kan leda till en ansenlig ökning

av ett systems totala kostnad. Det är därför väldigt viktigt att inte förbise dokumentationen

som en del av ett ERP-systemutvecklingsprojekt.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka existerande dokumentationsrutiner i ERPsystemutvecklingsprojekt

hos Volvo AB’s dotterbolag Volvo IT, för att sedan presentera

förbättringsförslag för framtida projekt i företaget. För att kunna uppfylla syftet med uppsatsen,

tog vi fram en forskningsfråga med tre följdfrågor och genom en grundlig analys av det

empiriska materialet kommer vi att presentera svaren på dessa frågor som våra slutsatser.

Vi har valt att genomföra en fallstudie med en induktiv ansats, för att införskaffa oss djupare

kunskap och därmed kunna generera ny kunskap inom området. Det empiriska materialet

analyserades utifrån en given modell där insamlad data delades in i lämpliga kategorier. Kunskapen

genererad från vår studie är av följande kunskapsform; kategoriell, förklarande, förutsägande

och normativ.

Efter att ha analyserat resultatet av vår fallstudie kan vi presentera ett flertal förbättringsförslag

för Volvo IT’s användning i framtida projekt. För andra företag, involverade i ERPsystemutvecklingsprojekt,

kan dessa fungera som värdefulla förslag att ta i beaktande. Vi

kom fram till att den främsta anledningen till bristande dokumentation inte är omedvetenheten

om dess betydelse, utan avsaknaden av konkreta bevis på dess positiva effekter på ett systems

totala kostnad. Vi anser att det krävs en attitydförändring kring dokumentation som

arbetsuppgift för att uppnå dokumentation som är av hög kvalitet och att arbetsuppgiften

som sådan behöver få högre prioritet i projekten. Ett annat viktigt förbättringsförslag vi fann

var att en kontroll av den producerade dokumentationens kvalité måste utföras, och inte

bara en kontroll av att den rätta sortens dokument finns. Vi anser att ett företag inte bör allokera

resurser till att skapa en metod eller modell över hur man ska dokumentera förrän vikten

och effekten av hög kvalitetsdokumentation är klargjord. Till sist anser vi att systemutvecklingsprocessen

bör fokuseras kring den framtida användaren, dels på grund av dagens

ökade användning av skräddarsydda system men också för att det minskar risken för en oönskad

effekt på projektets omfattning samt att det ökar kvaliteten på den slutgiltiga dokumentationen.

The aim of this thesis was to project two versions of a five-kilometer-long cycle road between Folmava and Horšovský Týn. These roads have been delimited between the village Dolní Folmava and the holiday resort Babylon. The version 1 has been selected for a detailed elaboration. The cycle road has been projected along the existing field and forest lanes and tertiary roads in order to avoid aimless cutting down of trees and large construction works. In this project, I have mainly drawn on the technical conditions TP 179 {--} Projecting Communications for Cyclists and Other Relative Instructions. In the course and height solutions I have proceeded so as to make the route overlap as much as possible the course of the existing communications. I have left the width layout untouched; however, I have revised the construction layout because of the security and fluidity of cycling. In order to prepare an adecuate coverage, the company LesoPol´s technology with the usage of the blend Glorit has been selected for possessing a wide range of advantages in comparison with current technologies. On the basis of these facts, I have elaborated the project documentation for the declaration of ground communication construction. Picnick and stop points were suggestes along the route as well as traffic signs and possible connections to an existing cycle and foot paths. Moreover, current cycle traffic situation was analysed, including mapping of the targets and resources of the cycle traffic in the region. I have also evaluated the utility of individual technical objects {--} such as culverts and bridges {--} and have pointed out to the need of restoration of some. I have drawn on the national and regional cycling tourism conceptions while elaborating this thesis.
