Full textThis thesis focuses on the analysis of the performance during the life cycle of information system (IS) projects that requires change and transformation of the firm in evolutive contexts (economic, organizational, social). Our objective is to understand the process of establishment of IS projects and to identify the determinants of performance in the different phases of this process. We consider that the process of implementation is composed of three phases : starting, implementation and generalization. The theoretical framework mobilised is the Resource Based View (RBV) which underlining the role and the articulation of the resources especially through their complementarities for the determination of IS project performance. Based on qualitative and inductive research, we realized 28 semi-directive interviews in ten large French firms. The idea which is defended in this thesis is that the performance of IS project does not depend exclusively from the technological characteristics of a new information system but more widely on the context and environment in which they are established. We demonstrated that performance is function of the capacity to take into account a larger scope of determinants (financial rentability, organizational, managerial, human and social, technical and functional, strategic) identified in this thesis with different levels of importance according to the phase of project. The capacity of the firms to take into account a multidimensional nature of determinants of performance in the different phases of IS project is also likely to explain differences in performance levels

Full textDuring the last decade, organisational improvisation has received growing attention from academics and practitioners. Although some studies in Information Systems (IS) focus on improvisation in project management, few research have considered the pre-implementation phase of an IS project and examined why and how heterogeneous team members select an IS without following classical project management standards. From a theoretical point of view, this research highlights the links between organisational improvisation, organisational learning and IS project management. Our empirical part is based on a Canonical Action Research (CAR) that was conducted in three cycles in the "Alpha Group". Our function as researcher/project manager involved twelve months.Our observations reveal that improvisation in action allows the project team members to generate unexpected behaviours or actions, which allow for the acquisition of new knowledge necessary for the progress of the project. Despite the dominant project management paradigm of "plan, then implement" and agile project management, our study demonstrates that improvisational practices are enthusiastically adopted and used widely, regardless of the roles played by team members. These practices are supported by the general management, which aims to encourage emerging best practice in the management of all the Group's projects by supporting a culture of experimentation.Finally, we discuss our questioning about the team improvisation capacity, based on a triangulation between organisational learning, improvisation and IS project management

We answer the following research questions which sums up the essential questions of the Project Director who is left alone in situation with his own capacity facing both the importance of the human factor for the project success and the impracticality of the cultural models proposed by researchers for the management of international teams bringing together numerous people from various professions, nationalities and companies:1. How can we operationalize the human aspects of the CSF proposed by the literature for the management of international and multicultural project teams?2. To what extent changing the layer-view of cultural influence sources in models, for an approach in constellation of interactive and dynamic sources allows a better understanding of the international-multicultural tension in a team?3. To what extent and how do the concepts of community- and complementary cooperation identified in functional structure projects (Dameron) get applied to heavyweight projects?We highlight the complex entanglement of a wide range of factors that can either favour the existence of an effective and sustainable collaboration within a team having culture as milieu and project as attitude, or hinder it more than in a standard operational team (such as those studied by Barnard, 1938), particularly because of the conflict seeds brought in by the acculturation process inherent to bringing together so many different cultures (Bastide, 1968)

Full textThe IS/IT in organizations increasingly use the projects to implement qualitative leaps in its performance. Like all processes of change, there are elements that by their specificity are more relevant than others, which make them highly enhancers to success. Ifs impossible to include all variables that can guarantee success, these increase difficulties in analyzing the problems, because the random nature of this these processes, never allows two projects have the same characteristics. This whole issue when transposed to IS/IT grows exponentially, the fact that this type of project normally is the most wider inside the organization, which has an impact at all levels so that the project presents a large organizational visibility. This work is based on the idea that the outcome of a project is directly related with the motivation that triggered within the organization, to validate that idea, it is used a set of variables identified by the management as the ones that enhancers elements of the success of the project. This work was born of a collection of data based on interviews, made of the elements of project teams, trying to find answers on the issues raised.

Full textNum mundo em constante evolução, onde a utilização das tecnologias prevalece, torna-se relevante inovar e evoluir os processos que nos acompanham diariamente. Assim, para que as organizações se mantenham atualizadas, é necessário que invistam nos seus processos operativos, nomeadamente em sistemas e tecnologias de informação. O processo de gestão de benefícios ajuda a medir e acompanhar os benefícios inerentes a um projeto, permitindo aos gestores de negócio concluir se o investimento retorna os benefícios previstos. O presente projeto propõe uma ferramenta de software para o processo de gestão de benefícios face ao seu processo atual, com o intuito de torná-lo mais claro, simples e sistemático. Desenvolveu-se, portanto, uma aplicação que visa facilitar este processo, tendo decorrido o seu desenvolvimento numa empresa internacional de consultoria. Neste sentido, para verificar se o software criado cumpria os objetivos pretendidos, realizou-se um estudo e análise à performance. Esta análise foi realizada através de um caso de estudo, com base nos dados relativos a um Hospital nacional. No final, foi possível verificar que a utilização da aplicação permitiu tornar o processo da gestão de benefícios mais simples e eficaz.
In a constantly evolving world, where the use of technologies prevails, it becomes relevant to innovate and evolve the processes that accompany us daily. Thus, for organizations to stay current, they need to invest in their operating process, namely in information systems and technologies. The benefit management process helps you measure and track benefits, allowing business managers to conclude whether the investment returns the expected benefits. This project intends to propose a software tool for the benefits management process compared to the current process, in order to make it clearer, simpler and more systematic. In order to achieve this goal, an application was developed for this process, which took place at an international consulting company. In order to verify if the software created fulfilled the intended objectives, a performance study and analysis was performed. This analysis was performed through a case study, based on data from a national Hospital. In the end, it was found that using the application made the benefit management process simpler and more effective.

A presente dissertação é resultado de uma pesquisa de mestrado que objetivou mapear o projeto de si construído por Thomas Jefferson - terceiro presidente dos Estados Unidos da América e redator da Declaração de Independência - em sua narrativa autobiográfica. Jefferson nasceu em 1743 e morreu em 1826, no dia 04 de julho, coincidentemente, aniversário de cinquenta anos de Independência do país que ajudou a fundar. Sua autobiografia foi escrita em 1821, ocasião na qual o político, na idade de 77 anos, dedicou-se a retomar parte de sua vida e trajetória política. Os anos narrados no documento, no entanto, abrangeram um recorte temporal limitado, restringindo-se aos anos 1743 (seu nascimento) e 1790 (ano em que assumiu o cargo de Secretário de Estado do governo de George Washington). A narrativa, deste modo, não abordou alguns grandes acontecimentos de sua vida, como os dois mais altos cargos políticos ocupados por ele: a Vice Presidência e a Presidência do país (1800 – 1809). A análise se propôs a apresentar uma perspectiva geral da fonte, suas características técnicas, estruturais, conteudistas e editoriais, para depois aprofundar em algumas temáticas selecionadas entre os diversos assuntos narrados por ele no texto do documento. Os temas considerados dignos de destaque foram: a escravidão, a religião, a educação e a revolução. O primeiro, a escravidão, foi escolhido por se tratar de uma referência bastante comum à imagem do político, e que acumulou durante quase dois séculos visões completamente divergentes acerca de seus posicionamentos sobre o assunto. Os outros três, religião-educação-revolução, compõe o tripé de feitos escolhidos por ele para serem inscritos em sua lápide e, portanto, foram considerados temas de destaque e essenciais no mapeamento que fizemos de sua narrativa autobiografia. Os quatro temas de destaque, entre outros trabalhados no primeiro capítulo da dissertação, foram pensados no sentido de delinear qual “Jefferson” o autor-personagem intencionou registrar no documento, qual face de si ele buscou delegar à posterioridade.
The present dissertation is a result of a master’s research that aimed to map the “Project of self” built by Thomas Jefferson – third President of United States of America and redactor of the Declaration of Independence – on his autobiographical narrative. Jefferson was born in 1743 and died in 1826, on July 4th, coincidentally, the fiftieth independence anniversary of a country he helped to build. His autobiography was written in 1821, occasion in which the politician, at age of 77 years-old, dedicated to recapture part of his life and political trajectory. However, the years narrated on the document cover a limited temporal frame, restricting it to the years of 1743 (his birth) to 1790 (on which he assumed the office of the Secretary State of George Washington government). The narrative, thus, did not approached some of the greatest events of his life, as the two of the highest political offices occupied by him: the Vice Presidency and the Presidency (1800 – 1809). The analysis proposed to present a general perspective of the source, its technical structural and editorial characteristics, and his concern about dates and facts, in order to, posteriorly, deepen in some of the selected thematic between the several subject narrated by him in the document's text. The selected topics considered worthy of note were: slavery, religion, education and revolution. The first, the slavery, was chosen for being a fairly common reference to the image of the politician, and which accumulated during almost two centuries completely divergent visions over his positioning about the subject. The others, religion – education – revolution, are part of group of events chosen by him to be written in his grave and, therefore, were considered featured topics and essential to the mapping that we made of his autobiography narrative. The four featured topics, among others discussed at chapter one of this dissertation, were thought in a way to outline which Jefferson the author/character meant to register in the document, which part of himself the aimed to delegate to posterity.

Full textEsta tese analisa construções discursivas sobre o consumidor consciente, o qual visa se diferenciar de um suposto consumo regular e/ou consumista. Toma por base inicial as atribuições propostas em guias e manuais pró consumo consciente, em específico aqueles produzidos pela Akatu e pelo Idec, os quais buscam conceitualizar, debater e promover este tipo de consumidor. Compreende este grupo inicial enquanto uma dimensão prescritiva do discurso os quais elaboram indicações de ação e embasamentos do conceito. O desdobramento do trabalho realiza uma análise qualitativa do discurso dos indivíduos de camadas médias cariocas que se identificam enquanto este tipo de consumidor. Observa-se as semelhanças, diferenças e o desenrolar destes conceitos nas falas de indivíduos em relação àquelas prescritas nos manuais. Assim, pautado em entendimentos sobre consumo enquanto construtor simbólico, noções de projetos de vida e construção de si, produções de sentido e significado, relações de sociabilidade e novas modalidades de participação política, a tese se desenvolve nos seguintes aspectos: análise das bases de origem as quais formulam possibilidades de inserção na temática se ser e fundamentos possíveis; elementos constituintes fundamentais na formação do perfil dos entrevistados e seus conceitos de consciência, os aspectos emotivos sentimentais responsáveis pela valorização ou desvalorização da experiência, e expectativas e perspectivas a respeito dos relacionamentos com terceiros, abordando o tema principalmente através das categorias: chatos e radicais. Com isso, aprofundando-se nas bases definidoras dos sujeitos, suas concepções de consciência, seus medos, anseios, prazer e felicidades; procurando compreender como a subjetividade destes sujeitos está sendo produzida e como dialogam seus projetos com o espaço urbano de uma grande cidade.
This thesis examines discourses on the conscious consumer, who seeks to differentiate itself from a supposed consumerist or regular consumption. Takes as initial base assignments proposed in guides and manuals pro conscious consumption, specifically those produced by Akatu and Idec, which seek to conceptualize, discuss and promote this type of consumer. Understanding this initial group as a prescriptive dimension of discourse, which elaborated indications of action and emplacements of the concept. The unfolding of the work conducts a qualitative analysis of the speeches of individuals from middle class of Rio de Janeiro who identify themselves as this type of consumer. We observe the similarities, differences and developments of these concepts in the speech of individuals in relation to those prescribed in the manuals. So, based on understandings about consumption as a symbolic builder, notions of life projects and self-construction, productions of meaning and significance, personal relations and new forms of political participation, the thesis unfolds in the following aspects: analysis of the bases of origin which formulate possibilities for the insertion in the subject of to be and possible grounds, core constituent elements of in format on of the profile of interviewees and their concepts of consciousness, the emotional and sentimental aspects responsible for the appreciation or depreciation of experience, and expectations and perspectives on the relationships with others, approaching the issue mainly through boring and extreme categories. With this, deepening the bases defining the subjects, their conceptions of consciousness, their fears, anxieties, pleasure and happiness; seeking to understand how subjectivity of these subjects is being produced and how their projects dialogue with the urban space in a big city.

Full textA Gestão de Benefícios é uma mais-valia no âmbito da Gestão de Projetos, o que está abundantemente divulgado na literatura da especialidade, nomeadamente em projetos no domínio dos SI/TI. No entanto, naquela literatura, encontram-se também muitas referências constatando a continuação do lançamento de grandes investimentos em projetos SI/TI sem que tenham sido previamente estabelecidos os benefícios esperados. No presente trabalho foi desenvolvido um modelo de Gestão de Benefícios aplicado a um projeto no domínio SI/TI, em que, também, não foi feita previamente uma abordagem aos benefícios esperados. O modelo de Gestão de Benefícios mencionado foi desenvolvido a partir de uma metodologia de investigação baseada no Estudo de Caso. Neste TFM, em resposta às questões de investigação, foram identificados e medidos benefícios no âmbito do Estudo de Caso e foram apontadas as linhas orientadoras para a criação de um guião de apoio à gestão de benefícios em projetos futuros a desenvolver com suporte de uma plataforma Agile.
Benefits Management, namely in IT projects, is an added value in the scope of Project Management, as broadly concluded in the available specialized literature. However, in the same specialized literature, a lot of references are also made to continuous investments in IT projects without a previous approach of the expected benefits. In the present study, a benefits management model was developed and applied to an IT project where expected benefits were also not previously approached. As the investigation methodology the referred benefits management model was developed under the concept of a Case Study. As an answer to the investigation questions, in this master thesis case study, benefits were identified and measured and guidelines were specified for a further development of a quick guide to support the benefits management in future projects to be developed with the support of an Agile platform.

Resumo: O presente trabalho visa desenvolver um projeto e executar a montagem e teste de um sistema de lingotamento contínuo, aprimorado com o uso da agitação eletromagnética, para a fabricação de lingotes de ligas de Al-Si com estrutura refinada de grãos. Durante seu desenvolvimento, o projeto almejou o estabelecimento de parâmetros construtivos do equipamento, bem como os parâmetros de processamento para obtenção dos lingotes. Os parâmetros estudados foram a altura de metal fundido na cavidade do molde, velocidade de lingotamento, temperatura de vazamento e rugosidade da cavidade do molde. Após serem determinados os parâmetros construtivos e de processamento, procedeu-se a obtenção dos lingotes propriamente ditos, em duas condições de refrigeração: refrigeração primária, somente no molde metálico, e refrigeração primária e secundária (com sistema de refrigeração na saída do lingote). Para cada uma dessas condições foram obtidos lingotes sem a aplicação do campo magnético e, sob a agitação eletromagnética a 1500 W com o campo magnético variando de 12 a 20 Gauss e 3000 W com o campo magnético variando de 22 a 38 Gauss. De posse dos lingotes seguiu-se a caracterização microestrutural por meio de análise metalográfica convencional e análise metalográfica por polarização de imagem, que buscou verificar a eficiência do sistema no refino de grãos. A condição de otimização alcançada sugere a fabricação de ligas de Al-Si nas seguintes condições: a temperatura de vazamento adotada foi de 800 ºC, rugosidade da cavidade do molde de Ra = 0,06 µm, velocidade de lingotamento 3 mm/s e altura de metal fundido na cavidade do molde de 15 a 20 mm, em que alcançou-se o tamanho de grãos com 178 µm e espaçamento interdendrítico de 125 µm, com uma potência de 1500 W e campo magnético de 12 a 20 Gauss
Abstract: This work aims to develop a project and implement the assembly and testing of a continuous casting system , enhanced with the use of electromagnetic stirring to manufacture ingots of Al-Si alloys with refined grain structure. During its development the project aspired to establishing constructive parameters of the equipment, as well as the establishment of the processing parameters for obtain ingots. The parameters studied were: the molten metal height in the mould cavity, the casting speed, the casting temperature, and the roughness of the mould cavity. After setting the construction and processing parameters were obtained obtain the ingots in two cooling conditions: primary cooling (considering only the metal mould), and primary and secondary cooling (with the ingot cooling system in the output). For each of these conditions were obtained ingots without applying the electromagnetic field and with electromagnetic stirring in 1500 W with a variation of electromagnetic field between 12 to 20 Gauss, and 3000 W with a variation eletrocmagnetic field between 22 to 38 Gauss. In possession of ingots followed the microstructural characterization by conventional metallographic analysis and metallographic analysis by polarization imaging, which aims to evaluate the efficiency of the grain refining system. The process optimized condition suggests the manufacturing Al-Si alloy in the following conditions: the pouring temperature was 800 °C, the mould cavity surface roughness Ra = 0.06 µm, casting speed is 3mm/s and molten metal height in the mould cavity of 15 to 20 mm where grain size up to 180 µm and interdendritic spacing of 125 µm, with a power of 1500 W and electromagnetic field of 12 to 20 Gauss

A escrita, composição desta tese, é feita de recortes/fragmentos de memórias na presença viva de uma experiência estética na formação docente constituindo um mosaico. Os laços e os nós de uma docência evidenciados quando da escrita da pesquisa de dissertação sobre uma docência no Sul do Brasil- se estendem para novas parcerias com diversos grupos discentes através das memórias do projeto ?Mobilizar-te?: acontecimento em arte e educação na UFT- encontros com artefazer-se docente (2008-2010), na docência do Ensino Superior no norte do país. O foco central desta tese procurou responder a seguinte questão: Quais experiências estéticas e memórias de (auto)formação são narradas por um grupo de estudantes do Curso de Pedagogia (UFT) participantes do projeto Mobilizar-te? Nos aportes teóricos de Benjamin, Larrosa, Contreras e Dewey encontro fundamentos para entender a categoria experiência para os sentidos de produção contrários à banalização e burocratização do aprendizado e anestesia de si, ao reverso, pensar protagonismos da própria ação do formar-se, como um fazer-docente prenhe de intenções políticas, éticas e estéticas. A categoria estética é discutida a partir de estudos de Welsch com interlocuções de Hermann, Duarte Júnior, Pereira, Farina, entre outros. A intencionalidade metodológica desta pesquisa aproximou-se de práticas qualitativas na educação com a intersecção com o método (auto) biográfico na potencialidade da memória como ferramenta de formação, ancorada nos autores: Abrahão, Nóvoa, Josso, Dominicé, Passegui, Delory-Momberger e Bolivar e Domingos. Como suportes de materialidades que constituíram as fontes de investigação desta pesquisa foram utilizados os seguintes elementos: entrevista com 8 acadêmicos egressos do Curso de Pedagogia; depoimentos escritos durante o período de 2008/2010, anotações avulsas em cadernos, relatórios de grupos, fotografias e imagens produzidas em folders, camisetas. Entre as temáticas mapeadas neste estudo evidencio a diversidade cultural e a política na Universidade, o professor como produtor de materialidades estéticas, para além da arte a festa, a (auto)formação na ação e intervenção e a formação do pedagogo com a infância: a experiência da arte no corpo. Na virada da esquina ao fim de um corredor, concluo que as disponibilidades nas relações de alteridade são destacadas como elementos da concentração acadêmica no fazer diverso das normas do ?eu devo?, bem como a compreensão de um fazer coletivo, de abertura de ambientes aquecidos, na interligação de fios de teias/redes de proteção para pensar futuros da profissão como produtora de si. O currículo como ato de formação e lugar da estética, é o fio condutor de uma tênue linha demarcatória de fronteiras, em que a reflexão percorre a necessidade de (des)vestir um corpo docente/discente. Nessa memória da experiência como suporte e avaliação de um fazer e desenvolvimento profissional, encontro inspiração e energias vitais de uma profissão balseira que permite um sentido de partida e expedições, nos desafios estéticos do presente: compartilhar a produção de sentidos na experiência de formação de si com o outro, refletir sobre a presença do não controle na prática docente e como a experiência toma dimensões submersas.
The writing, composition of this thesis, is made of clippings/fragments of memories in the living presence of an aesthetic experience in teacher training constitutes a mosaic. The links and nodes of a teaching evidenced when the writing of the dissertation research on teaching in southern Brazil-extend to new partnerships with various groups of students through the memories of the project ?Mobilizar-te: acontecimento em arte e educação na UFT- encontros com artefazer-se docente (2008-2010)? in the teaching of higher education in the North of the country. The central focus of this thesis sought to answer the following question: Which aesthetic experiences and memories of (self) formation are narrated by a group of students of Pedagogy (UFT) project participants to mobilize you? In theoretical Benjamin, Larrosa, Contreras and Dewey find grounds for understanding the category experience for the senses of production against the trivialization and bureaucratization of anesthesia and learning from you, backwards, thinking of the craving to own the action form, as a do-teaching full of political, ethical and aesthetic intentions. The aesthetic category is discussed from Welsch studies with Hermann interlocutions, Duarte Junior, Pereira, Farina, among others. The intent of this survey methodological approached qualitative in education practices with the Intersect method (auto) biography on potentiality of memory as a training tool, anchored in authors: Abrahão, Nóvoa, Josso, Dominicé, Passegui, Delory-Momberger and Bolivar and Domingos. As material elements characteristic brackets that were the sources of investigation of this research were used the following elements: interview with 8 academics graduates of the course of Pedagogy; depositions during the period 2008/2010, single notes in notebooks, group reports, photographs and images produced in folders, t-shirts. Among the topics mapped in this study evidencio the cultural diversity and politics at the University, the professor as a producer of material elements characteristic aesthetic, beyond the art party, the (self) formation in action and intervention and formation of the pedagogue with children: the experience of body art. At the turn the corner at the end of a hallway, I conclude that the availabilities in relations of alterity are highlighted as elements of academic concentration in making diverse standards "I must", as well as the understanding of a collective, heated environments, opening in the interconnection of webs/networks to think future protection profession as a producer himself. The curriculum training and act as place of aesthetics, is the leitmotif of a fine line demarcation of frontiers, in which the reflection traverses the need for (UN) dressing a faculty/students. In memory of the experience as a support and evaluation of a make and professional development, find inspiration and vital energies of a ferryman profession that allows a sense of departure and expeditions, in aesthetic challenges of the present: share the production of senses in si training experience with each other, reflect on the presence of no control in teaching practice and how the experience takes submerged dimensions.

O objetivo central desta investigação foi analisar a constituição de professores-estudantes como sujeitos da sua formação, em face dos processos formativos delineados ao longo de suas vidas. Os objetivos específicos foram: identificar as experiências formadoras que marcam as trajetórias formativas de professores-estudantes, seus conteúdos e contextos formativos; descrever as relações entre autoformação, heteroformação e ecoformação, evidenciando os contextos de autoformação; mapear os projetos de professores-estudantes, explicitando como eles se implicam em tais projetos, mediante das posições existenciais que assumem. Assim, buscou-se amparo teórico na Sociologia da Ação, que tem como preocupação dar visibilidade ao ator social em detrimento das estruturas sociais. Na Formação de Adultos e na abordagem (Auto) biográfica, as quais têm como foco central o modo como os adultos aprendem e se autonomizam em face aos seus processos formativos. Os procedimentos teórico-metodológicos foram, no primeiro momento, a abordagem (auto) biográfica, desenvolvida na forma do dispositivo “ateliê (auto) biográfico”. Este se constituiu de nove encontros, junto a um grupo de quatro estudantes-professores. No segundo momento, procedeu-se à realização de entrevistas de explicitação individuais, tendo em vista a complementação de informações contidas nos textos narrativos. A pesquisa apontou que as experiências marcantes se constituem de conteúdos e em contextos diversos. Os processos de autoformação se desenvolvem ao longo de todo o processo formativo, em diferentes esferas da vida, e tornam-se mais elaborados na medida em que a vida adulta se aproxima. A elaboração e realização dos projetos ocorrem predominantemente por meio da posição existencial de “intencionalidade”, a qual traduz uma vontade insistente de confrontar-se a tudo o que dificulta a realização do projeto de si. Assim, concluiu-se que a constituição das professoras-estudantes como sujeitos da sua formação é um processo não linear que se desenvolve ao longo de toda a vida, mas que assume maior grau de complexidade na medida em que elas são capazes de tomar decisões, de formular intencionalidades explícitas, orientar e fazer intervenções em seus processos formadores.

Full textO principal objetivo deste projeto de investigação é compreender e interpretar de que forma as atividades lúdicas simbólicas potenciam, nas crianças, a construção da perceção de si e dos outros, assim como, perceber quais as conceções e práticas que os educadores assumem relativamente a este tema. Este projeto possui a abordagem investigação-ação como método de trabalho, e tem como principal objetivo dar a conhecer o processo de interpretação das informações recolhidas nos dois contextos educativos, creche e jardim-de-infância, assim como, a intervenção realizada por mim. As principais fontes de recolha de informação são a observação participante, os inquéritos realizados às educadoras cooperantes e a análise documental. Os contextos educativos usados como objeto de estudo, inserem-se nas instituições onde foram desenvolvidos os estágios no âmbito do curso Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, sendo que, os participantes do estudo são as educadoras cooperantes que me acompanharam durante todo o estágio. Após a concretização deste projeto de investigação, posso referir que, na opinião de ambas as educadoras cooperantes atividades que participaram neste estudo, as atividades lúdicas simbólicas são consideradas como atividades fundamentais, que são muito importantes para a construção e perceção que a criança faz de si e dos outros.
The main purpose of this research project is understanding and interpreting how the symbolic play activities could potentiate, in children, the building of the perception of self and others; as perceiving the conceptions and practices that educators assume regarding this issue. This project has the investigation-action method as the working method, and the main purpose is showing the process of interpretation of information gathered in the two educational contexts, nursery and kindergarten, as well as the intervention made by me. The main information sources are participating observation, surveys conducted at cooperating teachers and documentary analysis. The educational contexts that were used as study objects, are inserted in the institutions where the stages were developed within the course Masters in Preschool Education, and the study participants are cooperating teachers who accompanied me throughout the stage. After the concretion of this research project, I can refer that, in the opinion of both cooperating teachers who participated in this study, the symbolic play activities are considered as core activities, that are very important in the construction and perception that child makes of himself and others.

The present work sought to achieve some objectives on the textual production of Henrique Silva, from Bonfin, MG, who wrote between the years 1890 to 1935, in different media, notably in the O Paiz newspaper and the Informação Goyana magazine. To begin with, he wrote hundreds of notes published daily between the years of 1890 and 1917, which record activities involving a variety of subjects. In the magazine, which circulated from 1917 to 1935, Silva’s publications increased greatly in quantity and size. All this material, after being organized into distinct tables, showed the Goiano had a peculiar erudition. He discussed hydrography, cattle raising, bandeirismo, geography, history, health, construction of the new federal capital, and many other subjects. Analysis of this material found that the great majority of the publications dealt with the economic possibilities of the central plateau, especially Goiás. These lands were the cause that he dedicated most of his life. Under this theme and for the love for Goiás, he envisioned another project of equal importance: to construct a memoir. He portrayed himself in the region of Goiás as an individual that went to the capital as a soldier, a writer, and a journalist, who contributed to the rediscovery of Goiás. The theoretical reference used for the publications in the newspaper O Paiz was the writing about his own actions. He built his achievements, through (auto)biographical writing, which was also purposefully aimed at the people of Goiás. The project continued in the publications in Informação Goyana. However, from this monthly journal, we sought to analyze the textual production of Silva from the response of the readers and identify how the reader in general attributed meaning to the various topics addressed by the journalist. A dialogue between author and reader, which sometimes occurred supported by the magazine, was an important interaction for the success of his goals. Thus, by writing of himself and the reaction of the readers, Henrique Silva, to a certain extent, immortalized himself before the Goianos.
O presente trabalho buscou alcançar alguns objetivos sobre a produção textual de Henrique Silva, bonfinense que escreveu, entre 1890 a 1935, em diferentes meios de comunicação, notadamente no jornal O Paiz e na revista Informação Goyana. No primeiro, foram centenas de notas publicadas cotidianamente entre os anos de 1890 a 1917: registros de ações envolvendo os mais diferentes assuntos. Na revista, que circulou de 1917 a 1935, as publicações de Silva aumentaram sobremaneira em quantidade e tamanho. Esse material, após ser mapeado em tabelas distintas, apresentou o goiano com uma erudição peculiar: discutia sobre hidrografia, pecuária, bandeirismo, geografia, história, saúde, construção da nova capital federal e tantos outros. Após a análise desse material, percebeu-se que a grande maioria das publicações tratava das possibilidades econômicas do Planalto Central, especialmente Goiás. Essas terras eram a bandeira erguida à qual dedicou a maior parte de sua vida. À sombra dessa temática, o amor por Goiás, vislumbrou outro projeto de igual importância: a construção de um projeto de memória, o eternizar-se nas terras goianas como indivíduo que foi para a capital como militar, escritor, jornalista e lá contribuiu para o redescobrimento de Goiás. O referencial teórico utilizado para as publicações no jornal O Paiz foi a escrita de si realizada por Henrique Silva. Um constituir-se pelos seus feitos, por meio de uma escrita (auto)biográfica, que visava, também, como propósito, ao povo goiano. Nas publicações em Informação Goyana, o projeto se mantém. Nesse mensário, buscou-se analisar a produção textual de Silva a partir da recepção dos leitores, identificar como o leitor atribuía significado para os diversos assuntos abordados pelo jornalista. Um diálogo entre autor e leitor que, em alguns momentos, ocorreu tendo como suporte a revista, uma interação importante para o êxito de seus objetivos. Assim com a escrita de si e a recepção dos leitores, Henrique Silva, em certa medida, se imortalizou diante dos goianos.

Full textOs gastos em Sistemas de Informação/Tecnologias de Informação (SI/TI) têm um peso substancial nos orçamentos das organizações. Contudo, os projetos de investimento em SI/TI parecem continuar a evidenciar taxas de sucesso reduzidas. A Gestão de Benefícios (GB) tem ganho relevância como forma, não só, de perceber esta taxa de insucesso, mas, também, como ferramenta ao serviço das organizações na preparação e realização de investimentos em SI/TI com taxas de sucesso mais elevadas. O objetivo do presente trabalho é perceber como é que a GB poderá ser aplicada em investimentos em SI/TI na Administração Pública (AP) de forma a alavancar os benefícios desses investimentos. Pretende-se criar conhecimento empírico que facilite a adoção desta abordagem, contribuindo para o aumento do sucesso deste tipo de investimentos. Para o efeito, foi desenvolvido um estudo de caso em que a unidade de análise é um projeto de e-Government na AP portuguesa. Com o estudo efetuado foi possível demonstrar como poderá ser aplicada uma abordagem de GB em projetos de e-Government assim como identificar algumas dificuldades que deverão ser tomadas em consideração. Muitos benefícios que não tinham sido previstos, foram identificados e avaliados, ou proposto um critério para a sua avaliação, realçando, desta forma o verdadeiro contributo dos investimentos em SI/TI na prestação de serviços aos cidadãos e no desempenho das organizações públicas.
The expenses in Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT) represent a substantial component in organizations? budgets. However, IS/IT investment projects seem to continue to show reduced success rates. The Benefits Management (BM) has gained relevance as a way, not only, to realize that failure rate, but also, as a tool at the service of organizations in the preparation and implementation of IS/IT investments with higher success rates. The objective of this study is to understand how the BM can be applied in IS/IT investments in the Public Administration (PA) and help to leverage the benefits of these investments. It seeks to create empirical knowledge that can be useful in facilitating the adoption of this approach, contributing to increase the success of this type of investments. With this propose, it was conducted a case study which unit of analysis is an e-Government project in the Portuguese PA. The study realized, showed how a BM approach can be applied in e-Government projects and also identified some difficulties that must be considered. Several benefits, that were not previewed, were identified and evaluated, or proposed some criteria for their evaluation. highlighting, that way, the true contribution of IS/IT investments in delivering services to citizens and increasing public organizations performance.

The study is based on the concept that “the teacher is the researcher” through the way of “action research”. The study is to discuss the process that how teachers involve “Jing-si-yu Instruction” into” classroom management” and to discuss the growing experience between teachers and students. The purpose of this study covers the following three main points: 1.Offer a Jing-si-yu Instruction program to solve the problem of classroom management. 2.Realize in the process of action research, when the researcher applies.Jing-si-yu Instrumion to the class management , what are teachers’ progress and reflection in their teaching? 3. Realize in the process of action research, when the researcher applies.Jing-si-yu Instrumion to the class management , what are students’ progress and the effect of the Jing-si-yu Instruction program? Subjects were the researcher’s fifth grade class students. The Jing-si-yu Instruction, which was divided into four unit: cooperation, deligience, sevice, gratitude, was designed to take part in the class management and was taught by the researcher. From July 2004 to June 2005, the researcher conducted one-year’s action research. Data were collected through “Jing-si-yu Instruction in class management questionnaire, which was designed by the researcher,videotapes of classroom activities, students’ learning journals, the mentor teacher and critical friends’ observation record, the researcher’s reflection notes, and interviews. The researcher through the help of triangulation check, inducing, sorting and analyzing, has examined all of the findings: 1. The researcher design the Jing-si-yu Instruction program according to the following steps:”setting the teaching goal “,”choosing the Jing-si-yu Instruction program’s units”, “developing teaching activities and content” and “deciding the methods to examine”. 2. The study can better the quality of a teacher’s teaching, especially on the respects of” teaching content”, ” planning of teaching activities” and “teaching measurement”. 3. After the implementation of the Jing-si-yu Instruction program, students’ “learning attitude”, ”classroom behavior”, ”class environment” as well as “classroom atmosphere” has been improved. Full textEste relatório foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino das Artes Visuais no 3º ciclo do ensino básico e secundário, e tem por objeto a prática supervisionada desenvolvida na disciplina de Desenho e Comunicação Visual, com alunos do 12º ano do ensino profissional, a quem lecionámos a unidade didática Ilustração – Módulo 6. No domínio do desenho e da ilustração desenvolvemos uma série de exercícios práticos, conducentes ao projeto final, onde se pretendia abordar a construção da identidade dos alunos. Este estudo foi norteado por três questões de investigação que pretendiam aferir: a validade da utilização da hermenêutica de Gadamer como abordagem didática da ilustração; a possibilidade da Escola poder desempenhar um papel na construção da identidade dos alunos; e de que formas a construção do autoconceito podia promover uma melhoria do envolvimento dos alunos na escola. A conceptualização didática assentou em três eixos que deveriam manter o equilíbrio das suas forças: o eixo do Ver, do Fazer e do Pensar. Além das estratégias do trabalho cooperativo e colaborativo, recorremos à autoavaliação e coavaliação como estratégias metacognitivas, para reforçar o autoconceito dos alunos. No projeto final, e face ao contexto de crise que se vivia à data, os alunos deviam ilustrar o espírito das obras “Os Lusíadas” e “Mensagem”, refletindo o passado dos textos e o horizonte presente dos alunos, fazendo referência aos seus três níveis de identidade: individual, tribal e nacional. A estrutura dialógica da avaliação entre pares foi responsável por uma melhoria do autoconhecimento, o que se refletiu no desbloqueio da prática e consequentemente da aprendizagem. As estratégias de aprendizagem colaborativa e cooperativa, influenciaram positivamente o envolvimento dos alunos na escola. Apesar dos parcos resultados da hermenêutica como estratégia didática da ilustração, reconhecemos a sua potencialidade, pelo que deverá ser novamente avaliada em investigações futuras.
This report was developed within the Master’s degree in Visual Arts Education, aiming the supervised practice developed in the subject of Desenho e Comunicação Visual with 12th grade students of professional education, to whom we taught Illustration. In that domain, we developed a series of practical exercises conducive to the final project, where students should approach the construction of identity. This investigation was orientated by three questions that intend to assess: the use of Gadamer’s hermeneutics as a didactical approach to illustration; the possibility of school to have a roll in the construction of students’ identity; and how the construction of self-concept could increase students’ engagement in school. The didactical concept was based in three axes: Seeing, Making and Thinking. In addition to the strategies of cooperative and collaborative work, we fell back upon self-evaluation and co-evaluation, to reinforce the students’ self-concept. In the final project, and under the crisis context that we were living in, the students should illustrate the spirit of the literary works of “Os Lusíadas” e “Mensagem”, reflecting upon the past of the texts and the present horizon, with references of the three levels of students’ identity: individual, tribal and national. The dialogical aspect of peer evaluation was responsible for the improvement of students’ self-knowledge, which was reflected in the unblocking of practice, and therefore, learning. The strategies of collaborative and cooperative learning had positive effects in students’ engagement in school. In spite of the weak results of hermeneutics as a didactical approach to illustration, we recognize its potentiality, so it should therefore be reviewed in future investigations.

Full textWe are living in a period of enormous technological transformations and the organisations face new opportunities that the IS/IT implementations provide with the hope that these investments will help to increase productivity and business prosperity, meanwhile, several studies performed in public and private sectors have proven that the investments done in IS/IT have not brought the expected benefits. As competition due to globalization increases – it is ever more important that an organisation performs to its best capabilities. The increase of the interest in benefits realization has coincided with the increasing use and complexity of the IS/IT. Some authors argue that the result of the studies that related investments in IS/IT and the increasing performance of the organisations in the last thirty years were far from true. However, others say that the amount spent in IS/IT and the business success has no direct connection. One of the crucial aspects of the IS/IT investments management is that once all the investments costs are mapped, the identification of the potential benefits and the guarantee that these benefits will be achieved The difficulties of the benefits identification, namely, the intangible benefits, which cause the traditional financial methods, not to work properly. As a consequence, the organisations should implement correct benefit management methods.

In this thesis, we grew carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on silicon substrate and metal tips respectively, in both case, microwave was introduced for the gathering of heat, and there upon results in the pyrolysis of methane. First, using the method of spin-coating, organic salt (C7H17COO)3Fe was first deposited on our Si-substrate, then a modified chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process, which utilizes a susceptor (SiC) to absorb the microwave and to self-generate the heat, and thereon results in localized dissociation of the CH4 gases was used to grow carbon nanotubes on the Si (Fe) substrate. Optimal substrate temperature ( ~1000 0C) was chosen to conduct the measurement of the time-dependent CNTs characteristics. We found that the diameter of the CNTs increases as the deposition time increased. After the catalyst Fe had being used up by the as-grown CNTs as time passed by, the still growing carbon nanoparticles covered on top of the as-grown CNTs, and therefore, the CNTs were embedded under the nanoparticles as observed from our SEM graphs. The field emission properties of our CNTs were measured with a very low turned-on field (E0~0.55 ), but also a very low emission current density (Jc~3 ) at 6.0 applied field. Next,tungsten and iron tips are used as our substrates. Tungsten tips dipped with organic salt(C7H17COO)3Fe was annealed at 250 ℃ for 30 min. before put into the chamber. We found that, low microwave power (30-50W), low carbon source(~5%), low growth time (~5min.) characterized the growth of CNTs on the tungsten tip. We ever found that, using iron tip without the dip of orgnic catalyst still enables us to grow CNTs. Finally,the introduction of N2 during the growth process often results in the CNTs with bamboo-like structure as revealed from the TEM micrographs.

Smart City projects make people live better and cities work better. They apply ICT (Information and Communications Technology) to accurately monitor, measure and control city processes, from transportation to water supplies, the location of city vehicles to the performance of electric grids. Smart Cities are about saving money, becoming more efficient and delivering better service to the citizens living in the cities. They believe they have the broadband and ICT infrastructure they need to be competitive. The most important thing to build up a Smart City is to complete ICT infrastructure construction first. Thus, both Central Government and Local Government must do lots of investments in Smart City Program. And the whole life cycle of Smart City Program includes feasibilities evaluation, initial planning, public hearing and discussion, detailed design and engineering, procurement, construction, operation and management, and re-evaluation, etc. The main purpose of this research is to study ICT SI (System Integrations) firms’ strategies in the emerging markets of Smart City. We study a real case of a SI company and its Taipei City Fiber Optic Network FTTH Project to find out any competitive strategies and innovative business models.

Abstract The purposes of this study are to (1) design a group counselling project that enhances self-efficacy of high-care junior high students by integrating with horticulture therapy and Jing Si Aphorism. (2) probe into the implementation, difficulties, and handling strategies of the project. (3) analyze the effects of self-efficacy after conducting the project. (4) provide the references of horticulture therapy to counsellors of junior high level in terms of the results of this study. This study focuses on qualitative research, investigating 8 high-care students of junior high school (5 males and 3 females). The way of small group counselling is used in the study. The methods of group counselling project integrates with horticulture therapy and Jing Si Aphorism, the questionnaire of high school students’ self-efficacy, the interview record of participants and reflective journals of the researcher are all included. The project conducts 90 minutes, once a week, 12 times in total. First, the researcher analyzes the data from pre- and post-test of high-care students’ self-efficacy, and then interpreting the participants’ feelings and thoughts with qualitative data after carrying out the project.The results are as follows: 1. .This project integrates with horticulture therapy and Jing Si Aphorism. By conversing with plants, and the spirit of Jing Si Aphorism: learning thought doing, awaken through learning. The aim is to generate self-empowerment and enhance participants’ self-efficacy in the end. 2. There are some difficulties encountered by participants in the process: (1). Jing Si Aphorism is beyond participants’ comprehension. They feel Jing Si Aphorism is dull. (2). Jing Si Aphorism is hard for participants to refer to their personal experiences. There are handling strategies: (1). Listening one’s heart, and quieting the mind. (2). Being their cheer leaders. (3) .Making good use of love languages All participants are getting better and hold a positive attitude towards the project. 3. The results of qualitative data show that participants get significant improved on career and interpersonal development. The scores of post-test on academic performance, interpersonal development, career development, and fitness performance are higher than pre-test of the self-efficacy questionnaire in the quantitative data, which indicates that participants’ self-efficacy has been developed. In general, this project has positive effect on cultivating self-efficacy. To sum up, in light of the results of this study, some suggestions have been provided for teacher-counsellors who are interested in further research. Full textResearch and innovation are key factors to the development of competitiveness, productivity and growth of advanced economies. To its promotion governments develop public policies to foster innovation, such as the creation of collaborative programs through direct funding towards the execution of projects that impact directly the competitiveness of the companies and overall the competitiveness of the national economy. This impact will only be felt if the execution of the projects is successful. Therefore, despite the realization that collaborative projects of I&D represent currently a big part of most company’s research portfolio, these projects don’t always achieve their goals and in consequence fail in their purpose of having a positive impact that’s expected in the economy. The current study has the purpose of evaluating the potential growth in the efficiency of I&D projects co-financed by public funds in Portugal through the application of Project Management Methodologies. To this end 38 interviews were conducted to companies beneficiary of public financing in collaborative I&D projects and to the entities responsible for the monitoring of the projects having identified inefficiencies crossed with possible recommendations for their mitigation. Based on the results, it was verified that despite the existence of references towards project management, there’s no rigorous application of methodologies by companies, nor its promotions by the responsible entities. Hence, some recommendations were defined that both the companies and the responsible entities can implement together in order to improve project management.
