Full textThis thesis deals with the extension properties of analytic covers. The general question can be stated as follows.Let X0 be a domain in a normal complex space X1 and let X’0 be an analytic cover over X0. Can X’0 be extended to an analytic cover X’1 over X1 ? What is the number of sheets of X’1 in comparison with that of X’0 ?We prove in chapter 1 a Thullen-type extension theorem where the number of the sheets is constant. In chapter 2 we give extension results of analytic covers showing that the degree of the sheets may decrease. In this chapter we also are interested by the extension of the 2-sheeted analytic covers. We give in the last chapter examples answering our questions in different situations

Full textThe aim of this thesis is the construction of a method of effective calculation of Stokes multipliers with error estimation. This method applies itself to all systems with single level and the first level of systems with multiple levels. In a theoretical part, we begin by stating the resurgence of formal solutions following Ecalle's method by regular perturbation and majorant series. We deduce from it a precise description of singularities in the Borel plane determining the resurgence coefficients. We make then explicit formulae between these resurgence coefficients and the Stokes multipliers. In the numerical part, we suppose that the entries of the systems are rational and we choose to work in the Borel plane where we calculate the resurgence coefficients by successive analytic continuations. In particular, we build algorithms in order to estimate the error. We give too several numerical examples

Full textLn this work we are interested by extending Iinear forms and Iinear maps in general on inductive Iimit spaces of locally convex spaces or of sorne operator algebras. Firstly, we consider the more general case i.e. extending linear forms on limit spaces of locally convex spaces. We give a necessary condition on the linear forms making the extension possible. We are also in interest of a norm preserving extension. We show by an example that a such extension is no always possible then we state our result in a general case. Moreover we give an application of our main result in a context of germes of holomorphic fonctions on a compact set of Cn. After that, we generalize this results and the application, by the same way, when the Iinear application are with operator values. Secondly, we consider the same questions in a particular case of inductive limits : The spaces of fractions. We generalize the result of F-H. Vasilescu in a non commutatif context and then we generalize the multi-dimensionnels moment problem on a closed unbounded set of quaternion set. Finally, we focus on the completely positive or completely contractive linear maps on spaces of fractions with operator values. We consider the non commutative context of the work of E. Albrecht and F-H. Vasilescu. As an application, we generalize the given moment problem on the operator case and we give a new measure. Then we give a characterization of the moment maps

Full textThis thesis includes two projects. In the first one, we develop and bench-mark an A.I. model to solve bosonic analytic continuation problems, that is generating the right optical conductivity starting from the current-current correlation function. Recent work has demonstrated that Neural Network can outperform Maximum Entropy methods for the analytical continuation of noisy Matsubara Green’s function in many-body physics, both in accuracy and computational cost. Here we generalize this approach to the conductivity response functions. A combination of Beta distributions is proposed as way to generate training sets that avoid limitations associated with monotonous flat scenery, as they offer a broad set of qualitatively different training spectra. We find that Neural Networks are particularly efficient at predicting DC conductivity, a notoriously difficult quantity for Maximum Entropy methods. We clarify the procedure to use the model in a thermally agnostic fashion, meaning that a Neural Network trained at a specific temperature could be used at different ones through a rescaling routine. Finally, we propose a general definition of confidence to be associated with the prediction of the optical conductivity profile, a much needed missing tile in the A.I. analytic continuation landscape, and provide some insight on its applicability. The second project focuses on cuprate high temperature superconductors. Recent experimental work has shown a strong anticorrelation between superconducting order parameter and the so called charge transfer gap. This involves both oxygen and copper orbitals and originates from the strong electronic correlation typical of these materials. In particular, a direct measure of these observables and their anti-correlation has been obtained by scanning tunneling microscopy experiments. Taking advantage from the natural modulation of the apical oxygen position on the surface of bi-layered BSCCO, which also modulate these observable in space, the anti-correlation could be validated at different sites of the same material. Using an advanced Dynamical Mean Field Theory method applied to the inhomogeneous Emery-Hubbard model, which takes into account both the copper and the oxygen orbitals of the cuprate planes, we are able to simulate the experimental situation. By using a pseudoinversion extrapolation method, we can show that the anti-correlation is present and strong in this model, though the strong spatial variation reported in experiments does not occur. This calls for a critical re-evaluation of the interpretation of the experimental results within our modeling. We finally discuss these findings in relation with the critical transition temperature, the superconducting order parameter and charge transfer gap of various known cuprate compounds

Full textThis thesis deals with the singular Cauchy problem in the complex domain. We study the singularities of the solution of the problem for three classes of partial differential equations. This thesis is a continuation of the work initiated by Jean Leray and his school. To describe the singularities of the solution, we seek the solution in the form of asymptotic an expansion of Gauss hypergeometric functions. As the singularities are carried by the hypergeometric functions, the study of the ramification of the solution reduces to that of these functions

Full textWe deal with two problems related to Dirichlet series. First we study the analytic continuation of a class of Dirichlet series with two variables: g(s_1,s_2,a,r) = sum_d=1 r(d) / a(d)s1ds2, where a(d) is a positive multiplicative function and r(d) is a multiplicative function. We prove, under suitable hypotheses, a general Theorem which allows us to approach this Dirichlet series by a known series, up to another series for which we get very precise upper bounds. Then we use this tool to get quantitative results on the distribution of values of arithmetical functions. Under suitable hypotheses on the functions a(d) and r(d), we determine lim_x?8 1/X sum_d

Full textIn this work we study analytic Levi-flat hypersurfaces in complex algebraic surfaces. These are real hypersurfaces that admit a foliation by holomorphic curves, called Cauchy Riemann foliation (CR). First, we show that if this foliation admits chaotic dynamics (i.e. if it doesn't admit an invariant transverse measure), then the connected components of the complement of the hypersurface are Stein. This allows us to extend the CR foliation to a singular algebraic foliation on the ambient complex surface. We apply this result to prove, by contradiction, that analytic Levi-flat hypersurfaces admitting a transverse affine structure in a complex algebraic surface have a transverse invariant measure. This leads us to conjecture that Levi-flat hypersurfaces in complex algebraic surfaces that are diffeomorphic to a hyperbolic tori bundle over the circle are fibrations by algebraic curves

Full textThis research focuses upon size segregation mechanisms in bedload sediment transport. Simplified experiments with fine grain inputs to a mobile coarse bed in equilibrium were undertaken in a small, narrow flume using spherical glass beads. The experiments demonstrate the influence of the size ratio between the bed (Dc) and the input (Df) upon the channel response. Size ratios (Dc/Df) between 7.14 and 1.25 were tested, with a constant coarse feed rate, and a variety of fine feed rates. Previous work has documented an increase in sediment transport rates as a result of a fine grain input; the experiments presented herein identify boundaries within this behaviour.Kinetic sieving takes place in the mobile bed surface, with the finer sediment moving to the bottom of the bedload transport layer at the interface to the underlying quasi-static coarse bed. The behavior at this interface dictates how a channel responds to a fine sediment input. If, by spontaneous percolation, the fine sediment is able to infiltrate into the underlying quasi-static bed, the total transport increases and the bed degrades causing a reduction in the slope. However, if the fine sediment input rate exceeds the transport capacity or is geometrically unable to infiltrate into the underlying bed, it forms a quasi-static layer underneath the transport layer that inhibits entrainment from the underlying bed, resulting in aggradation and an increase in bed slope.A formal test of the reproducibility of the aforementioned results was undertaken in a different laboratory, with the same experimental procedure. Comparison of the qualitative results reveals that the same dominant processes occur. Consistent differences, however, were present between the quantitative results; likely a result of differences in the experimental arrangement.A final set of experiments assesses the differences and similarities between experiments undertaken with spherical glass beads and natural materials to examine the complexities introduced due to particle shape. While the experiments with ideal materials reveal fundamental mechanisms associated with granular transport of mixed sizes, several key new phenomena are apparent in the experiments with natural materials, including changes in the infiltration potential and the emergence of bed structures

Full textIn order to explain Leibniz's theory of truth, the author chose to work according to a genealogical method. For each argument, even the most popular, the author tried to find the important moments of its creation, dating back to the texts of leibniz's youth. The genealogical method was also employed in an external way : the leibnizian fragments are confronted to older texts, the meaning of fundamental concepts is explained through the heritage of medieval and post-medieval scolastics. Throughout this approach, this work is the first ever devoted to leibniz logics in its integrality. It continuates what massimo mugnai already discovered about the logics of relations. The main arguments may be summarized this way : 1) Leibniz argues in favour of conceptualism. 2) This position implies a particular kind of ontologic engagement, in which consists mainly the suarezian heritage of leibnizian metaphysics. 3) One of the consequences of the conceptualism is the development of a intensional logics. This logics is not incompatible with the concept of class. 4) The intensional logics requires that an ontologic status be deserved to universals. 6) It has obliged leibniz to broaden the meaning of the fundamental logic relation, so that the inherence has become more and more a simple connexion. 7) The chapter 3 constitutes an attempt of evaluation of leibniz's ontology, which uses the tradition of the ontological square. It is demonstrated that leibniz meant to keep the two dimensions of ontology, while criticizing dramatically the notion of accident and profoundly modifying the fundamental relations of inherence and predication
