Abstract:
Schütz drew most closely on the linguistic model of biblical prose in his recitatives. Those of the Historia der...Aufferstehung...Jesu Christi are intended, according to his instructions in the preface, to be sung by the Evangelist without meter, in the manner of slow and intelligible speech. At the opposite extreme are the longer melismatic figures. The many possible forms of stylization on the basis of syllabic declamation are discussed. (Quelle: Vorlage)

Abstract ita:

 Abstract eng:
The paper tries to describe the continuity in Franca Mancinelli’s poetry books, studying the chronological progress of themes and its way of forming intertextual connections in each book or between one another. The connections’ study has the purpose to show the singular structure of each books. By looking at the structures, it can be detected Mancinelli’s method of building a structure and a poetry book. This leads to discover the variations in texts and to the study of the last versions of them. The paper aims also to define the form of self rewriting in Mancinelli’s recent books by analysing those variants in texts. The process of rewriting founds his explanation in themes’, style’s and structure’s analysis, showing a trend in the poet’s style.

Full text
Abstract:
In his innovative and often transformative book, National Consciousness and Literary Cosmopolitics: Postcolonial Literature in a Global Age (henceforth NC), Weihsin Gui takes up the question of how postcolonialism should inform our understanding of the global moment by re-invigorating literature’s relationship to nationalism. Analyzing works by Kazuo Ishiguro, Derek Walcott, Shirley Geok-Lin Lim, Twan Eng Tan, and Preeta Samarasan, he does what very few of the books of this genre manage; he tightly defines his use of the national and the global to avoid bland paeans to either term and avoids making one subservient or even counter-purposed to the other. He focuses on a “national consciousness and literary cosmopolitics, rather than a study of economic and demographic flows and movements” (3). He rethinks nationalism as a constellation of interdependent relationships, some local and others global, using Theodor Adorno’s negative dialectics. The openness of the negative dialectics allows Gui to read multiple, simultaneous attachments to the nation—as diasporic and native, linguistically major or minor, commodity or aesthetic—without the tension between these oppositions being determinative or fated to resolution. Read through the aesthetic experiments in poetry and prose that NC brings into an unexpected space of comparison, these relationships simultaneously critique and define forms of national belonging without resorting to a blithe rejection of the nation in favor of an idealized cosmopolis. “[N]egative dialectics,” Gui writes, “points to an arrangement or a reconfiguration of national consciousness and cosmopolitics as intertwined concepts as opposed to the triumph of postnational globalism in which transnational flows render nations moribund and obsolete” (22). What makes NC substantively different from other efforts to unseat nationalist discourses is that it addresses literary texts neither as producers nor as products of an antinationalist counter-discourse but rather according to the unexplored aesthetic and formal resonances already at work within a writer’s national consciousness. Gui makes room for postcolonial interventions from novels, stories, and poems that might at various moments be classified as national, transnational, diasporic, and global texts, thus making their canonicity irrelevant, or at least uninteresting in comparison to the way each text is simultaneously produced by and critical of nationalisms.

Weaned on those masters of French classicism (Jean de La Bruyère, Montesquieu, and, above all, Voltaire) for whom brevity was the soul of wit and concision no crime, he practiced from the beginning, “Naden'ka,” to the end, “Kirdzhali“ and The Captain's Daughter, a narrative style conspicuous for its uncommon bareness. That the virtues which he valued most highly in prose, namely, tochnost', kratkost', and nagaia prostata are, with rare exceptions, at one with his practice has been noted many times.

Abstract:
While lexical bundles research identifies continuous sequences (e.g. the end of the, I don’t know if), researchers have also been interested in discontinuous sequences in which words form a ‘frame’ surrounding a variable slot (e.g. I don’t * to, it is * to). To date, most research has focused on a few intuitively-selected frames, or has begun with frequent continuous sequences and then analyzed those to identify associated frames. Few previous studies have attempted to directly identify the full set of discontinuous sequences in a corpus. In the present study, we work towards that goal, using a corpus-driven approach to identify the set of recurrent four-word continuous and discontinuous patterns in corpora of conversation and academic writing. This direct computational analysis of the corpora reveals a more complete set of frames than alternative approaches, resulting in the documentation of highly frequent frames that have not been identified in previous research.

Abstract:
Conceptual graphs are a method of diagraming knowledge structures. They are valuable in a variety of applications including design of instructional materials, student evaluation and diagnosis, and theoretical research. One problem has been the identification of methods for eliciting or measuring the “internal” knowledge structures to develop conceptual graphs. Several methods of mapping conceptual graphs have been used in various research domains (e.g., free recall, sorting, ordering, etc.). Most of these traditional methods suffer from serious drawbacks. To overcome these problems, a question probe method has been adapted from work done in the area of prose comprehension. The question probe technique is a method for systematically developing a set of “test questions”. The method allows for the direct development of conceptual graphs and quantitative comparison of the graphs. The question probe technique has been successfully used to systematically develop instructional materials, evaluate/diagnose student understanding of course material, evaluate alternative instructional methods, and assess the relationship between instruction and problem solving performance.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The relations between women and men can be considered unequal. Inequality has caused oppression or violence. In response to the situation, women take the act of resistance. This paper discusses the form of resistance the women have done in Indonesian prose. The material object of the research consists of three prose in the Indonesian language, ie.e. Timun Mas dan Buto Ijo, “Timun Emas”, and “Meja Makan yang Menggigil”. The three prose take the women as the subject of the text and take Indonesia as the social context. The women resistance toward the violence manifests in three categories: silent, stalling for time, and destroying. They did it because women have less physical strength as compared to men. The last form of resistance is taken when the oppressor threatens the life of the women and their family’s life. In addition, at the end of the story, women show the religious attitude as they believe in God and praise to Him for the blessing. The resistance implies that women are not a powerless creature.]

Abstract:
The author attempts a polemic against the thesis on the anthropocentric nature of language, which has been established in linguistics. To this end, she proposes reading Olga Tokarczuk’s prose in the categories of post- and transhumanism to show that the writer’s works encompass the vision of the world which challenges the thesis on anthropocentrism of language adopted in linguistics. The object of the analysis is the linguistic phenomena (coming from various language layers: mainly lexical, syntactic, and orthographic ones) expressing the writer’s conviction of the unity of the human and non-human worlds and her clearly environmentally friendly attitude, which can be found in individual works by the Nobel Prize winner, and thus questioning the order of the reality based on human dominance and control over the nature. Keywords: posthumanism – anthropocentrism of language – metaphor – poetic definition

Abstract:
Three experiments were conducted in which adults practiced complex multiplication problems (e.g., 4 x 17). In Experiments 1 and 2, after practice participants completed a number-matching task in which two digits (cues) were followed by a single digit (probe) and had to determine whether the probe matched either of the cues. In simple arithmetic (e.g., 4 x 3), when the probe is the product of the cues (12), participants are slower/more error prone when determining whether there is a match. Results of Experiment 1 extended this effect to complex multiplication. In Experiment 2, participants practiced problems with the larger operand first (e.g., 17 x 4) or with the smaller operand first (e.g., 4 x 17). The number-matching interference effect from Experiment 1 was replicated, and was equal across the two groups whether cues were presented in their practiced or non-practiced order. Experiment 3 was conducted to determine if two additional simple multiplication effects, consistency and relatedness, could be documented for complex multiplication. After practice, in a verification task (4 x 13 = 56?) it was found that when presented answers shared a digit with the decade digit of the correct answer (consistency) or were a correct answer to another practiced problem (relatedness), participants rejected answers more slowly and/or less accurately. Together, findings from the three experiments support arithmetic models that posit that commuted pairs are not represented in long-term memory independently and that posit representations of two-digit multiplication answers are decomposed into decades and units during arithmetic processing.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Lyric poetry collides with the prose of history in Baudelaire's Petits poèmes en prose (1869), one of modernité's inaugural aesthetic projects. While the “prose poem” persists today with its own canons, anthologies, and journals, Baudelaire's poème en prose remains irreducible to the genre it is typically said to have originated. This essay makes a case for the generic singularity of Baudelaire's poème en prose by way of Paul de Man and Theodor Adorno, whose oblique references to Baudelaire's innovation are rich in unexamined implications, implications which illuminate the work of both theorists as much as they help us to understand the stakes of Baudelaire's prosaic experiment. The essay goes on to argue that modern lyric's rarefied aim for an autonomy beyond language's referential function persists critically, albeit paradoxically, in the seeming transparency of the Petits poèmes en prose, where poem and commodity collapse in an internal identification, while maintaining the distinctions of external disparities.

Abstract:
Kata kunci: elektrokardiogram, keamanan, anonimasi, IoT, FFT ABSTRACTBased on the latest data released by the World Health Organization in 2014, deaths caused by cardiovascular disease in 2012 have reached 37% of the total number of non-communicable diseases deaths in Indonesia. Therefore, it is expected that the applications of the Internet of Things (IoT) might be used to reduce the risk of death due to the heart related problems. In this research, a tele-auscultation technique for measuring and monitoring electrocardiogram (ECG) signal was built. To secure transmission of the ECG signal over the Internet, we implemented a recently proposed Jusak-Seedahmed algorithm. Our examinations showed that the algorithm performed the anonymization and reconstruction processes well. Crosscorrelation analysis showed that correlation between the reconstructed and the original ECG signal at lag=0 was 1. Furthermore, a mobile-based application had been built to display the reconstructed ECG signal for further analysis. Keywords: electrocardiogram, security, anonimization, IoT, FFT
