Since the discovery of the phosphotyrosine binding SH2 domain, many classes of phospho-recognition domains have been described which mediate many of the diverse cellular functions of protein kinases. Among those, FHA domains are unique in their ability to exclusively recognise pThr epitopes. Static power converters produce harmonics due to the nature of the conversion process. This paper will investigate two variations of current mode control for three-phase power converters ensuring reduced harmonic pollution and power factor improvement. The first method employed uses a Fryze current reference and the second method utilises a balanced three-phase sinusoidal reference. Both control techniques are simulated under unbalanced and distorted supply conditions using the PSIM simulation platform. Pseudaminic acid is a nine carbon sugar, similar to sialic acid, and has been found to play an important role in the biosynthesis of flagella in pathogenic bacteria such as C. jejuni and H. pylori. For these bacteria the flagella is crucial in motility and colonization of the host. Because this sugar is found only in bacteria, enzymes required for its biosynthesis serve as novel targets for antibiotic development. Fresh bone-in hams were sorted into "high pH" (5.6 or greater) and "low pH" (5.5 or less) groups and processed into spiral sliced, bone-in hams. Randomly selected hams from each group were evaluated for objective color and purge loss during a 75-day storage period and at a "holiday thaw" or 137-day storage date. At slicing, the "high pH" group displayed lower levels (P < 0.05) of fluid loss. Due to recent changes in agricultural practices the nutrient load in our waterways has increased causing eutrophication and hypoxia. Many legislative actions have taken place because of this problem, including the Clean Water Act of 1972 (CWA), and many different nutrient reduction plans. The CWA governs that impaired waterways must be monitored to meet total maximum daily loads (TMDL) for each watershed.
