Abstract:
Background: Psoriasis is the prime example of psoriasiform tissue pattern and should be differentiated from other psoriasiform dermatoses both clinically and histopathologically. Aim: To evaluate immunohistochemical expression of P53, Ki-67, and CD34 in psoriasis and psoriasiform dermatitis for diagnostic purposes. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was performed on the paraffin blocks of 60 psoriasis and 31 psoriasiform dermatitis patients between 2014 and 2017. The selected formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues from each biopsy specimen were cut into 4-micron sections. Initial s

Abstract:
Psoriasiform cutaneous sarcoidosis relates to atypical forms of sarcoidosis. The clinical case with a typical manifestation and the formation of noncaseating granulomas and a specific histological pattern associated with vulgar psoriasis is described. Despite the relative prevalence of cutaneous forms of sarcoidosis, clinical recognition of the disease sometimes presents certain difficulties and requires close attention of clinicians.

Abstract:
Psoriasiform skin diseases are a poorly understood group of disorders. Recent data has implicated the immune system with a central role in disease pathogenesis. In this thesis, various T cell populations were studied in a TCR transgenic model of psoriasiform disease, whose abnormal interactions culminate in distinctive psoriasiform pathology. The model is based upon the expression of the transgenic 2C TCR on the H-2[sup d] -expressing DBA/2 inbred strain (referred to as D2C mice). The 2C TCR recognizes a peptide (p2Ca) derived from the ubiquitous mitochondrial protein 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogen

Abstract:
Psoriasis is a common, debilitating systemic inflammatory disorder that is characterised by sharply demarcated, thick, erythematous scaly skin plaques. Such plaques commonly appear on skin that is subjected to repeated tensile trauma, such as elbows, knees and flexures. The mechanism by which these inflammatory lesions are spatially restricted is not known and yet knowledge of this could be of critical importance for our understanding of this disease. Chemokines are the principal regulators of leukocyte migration and play a critical role in the initiation and maintenance of inflammation. The a

Introduction: Two components served as the basis for the development of this study. On the one hand, a disease whose treatment is palliative, limited in efficacy and related to adverse effects; psoriasis. On the other hand, a plant with a history in popular medicine (Tropaeolum majus, known mainly as capuchinha) for which there was a body of literature that allowed to hypothesize that any product derived from it could have a therapeutic effect on psoriatic lesions. Objective: To evaluate the antipsoriatic potential of Tropaeolum majus extracts on psoriasis-like wounds induced in mice wi
