The study investigates the relationships between the perceived presence of positive organisational practices and the levels of personal and collective Psychological Capital (PsyCap) and Organisational Thriving (OT) observed by individuals. It hypothesises that applying Coaching-Based Leadership principles within organisations correlates with higher levels of individual and collective PsyCap and a stronger perception of Organisational Thriving. PsyCap, a second-order construct composed of hope, optimism, resilience, and self-efficacy, has received little attention in hospitality research despite its relationships with improving attitudes and behaviors. This study tested the relationships among PsyCap, service quality, customer satisfaction, and unit revenues through bivariate and mediational tests. Socioeconomic circumstances during childhood and adulthood are known to negatively affect health promoting behaviors. On the other hand, psychological capital (PsyCap) and health literacy are positively associated with these lifestyle behaviors. We, therefore, reasoned that PsyCap and health literacy might “buffer” the negative influences of socioeconomic circumstances on health-promoting behaviors. The present study examines the mediation of employees’ psychological capital (PsyCap) on the influence of leader–member exchange (LMX) on creativity of employees. We collected data from dyads of 70 supervisors and 280 employees to investigate the hypothesized linkages. The results suggest that PsyCap partially mediates the influence of LMX on employees’ creativity. Also, the effect of LMX and PsyCap on employees’ creativity is significant. Finally, high-quality LMX is significantly related to high PsyCap. Implications of the outcome for researchers and practicing managers are also discussed.
