Abstract:
This exploratory research on psychic consequences of armed conflicts has been carried out in Montreal on 30 latin-americans, eight to 12 year-old refugees. The principal objective was to assert the importance of traumas intensity, accumulation and age of occurence on the level and type of symptomatology (introversion-extroversion). Using two types of methodologies, clinical scales and in a more exploratory way, projective instruments to study the intra-psychic dynamic underlying the symptomatology observed. The children were classified according to trauma intensity and for this purpose, a trauma scale was defined with latin-american informants. ACHENBACH and DOMINIQUE clinical evaluation scales were appplied to the measure of clinical symptomatology. These instruments were analysed as a function of the symptoms intensity and type. Among results, the accumulation and intensity of traumas were found to be in significant correlation with anxio-depressive symptoms, as reported by the children with interiorization symptoms in ACHENBACH. The predominance of interiorization is discussed. The analysis of the TAT, based on objective indicators, brought out a light frequency of violent themes in relations with the clinical symptomatology. This research indicates the relevance of projective instruments to the study of traumatic response.

Abstract:
There is extensive literature documenting the effects of early trauma on the development and psychological functioning of individuals. The syndrome that encompasses the consequences of trauma is PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), a disorder that arises in connection with a traumatic event of great impact that threatens one’s life or safety, such as war. Technologies and the development of neuroscience have allowed a more in-depth analysis of the consequences of war, which sees psychic trauma as an event capable of interfering with child development, even radically modifying the biology and psychology of adults and children. In the article, a brief review of the most recent studies in this field is presented, in order to highlight the need for early intervention to look especially after the small children.

Single, nonfebrile seizures are not epilepsy, and although they often cause a major psychic trauma to the family they do not necessarily require hospitalization, CT scanning, or extensive workup. Anticonvulsant treatment is not obligatory and should, if used, be individualized. Only 30% of tonic-clonic seizures will recur, and most children who do require therapy can have it discontinued after 2 years.

Abstract:
Domestic psychic violence can be experienced by everyone, including children, wives, husbands, and others. As a material offense on domestic psychic violence, the elements resulting from psychological trauma must be proven. Therefore, the intervention of forensic psychologists and forensic psychiatrists is very important in cases of domestic psychic violence. The differences in the competence of psychologists and psychiatrists as well as the prospective roles of both professions in proving cases are the focus of the problems being studied. A normative legal research method with descriptive qualitative data analysis was employed in this research. The results showed that the existence of forensic psychologists and forensic psychiatrists is very important for finding material truths that can be scientifically tested in cases of domestic psychic violence. As evidence for letters and/or expert reports, the assessment results of forensic psychologists and forensic psychiatrists have accurate evidentiary value in forming a judge's conviction. This paper ends with a recommendation that as a form of protection for domestic violence victims, the role of psychologists and/or psychiatrists should be optimized, both in the pre-adjudication, and adjudication phases. In addition, considering the balanced position between psychologists and psychiatrists in law enforcement, this should not create jealousy and unhealthy competition between the two professions.

Abstract:
Since the Holocaust much has been written about the violent horrors of the last and the present century. Suddenly recognized as the ‘hated and disowned other’ and driven away from their world of intimate connections, exiled people live with inexpressible angsts which are unconsciously passed on from parents to children, to their children and still further on. The shadow of the past is cast on refugees as unlike on any other diaspora. In spite of, or because of, the lived trauma, sometimes a creative symbolization of losses can take place as the collective makes space for emotional holding. This is indeed rare but not impossible. The present writing dwells on one such collective—the Tibetans housed in India with whom I have worked closely for long as a psychoanalytic researcher. The following account highlights certain ways in which the trauma of uprootedness offsets transgenerational crises and how an exodus acknowledges its past such that a simultaneous remembering and mourning of psychic pain and the carving out of hope is kept alive, especially for those who were exposed to the trials of violent displacement in childhood. Drawing from their inspiring movement that remains imbued by a Buddhist perspective, I also look forward to sharing a few thoughts on healing possibilities which hold restorative value for not only the Tibetans but humanity at large. In a fragmented world torn by the powerful aspiration of each country to become a mighty nation, the Buddhist stress on ‘non-self’ and universal responsibility offers a unique imagination of the ‘nation’ and important insights related to non-violence, forgiveness, compassion, selfhood, and a non-antagonistic relationship with the other—one’s perpetrator. It is of significance to note that such an ambiance is held in place by an attuned spiritual leader, the fourteenth Dalai Lama who mitigates the despair of generations by playing the role of a ‘transitional’ and ‘transformative object’. This writing also dwells on the role of a psychoanalytic researcher as an empathetic witness, a psychic container and a co-traveller.

Abstract:
The focus on human personality and its disorders—extending beyond symptom-atology and inner fantasy to concern with the whole self and relationship—has created a paradigm shift in psychoanalysis. Detailed observation and study of growing children and their mothers lent impetus to this change, and gave increased relevance to the object relational concept of the infant’s psychic internalisation of external perception. A leading figure in the treatment of personality disorder, James F. Masterson drew much from Margaret Mahler’s developmental constructs and John Bowlby’s conceptualisations of attachment. In particular, Masterson’s work built upon Mahler’s subphases of separation–individuation in order to define the progression of unmet psychic needs underlying the schizoid, narcissistic, and borderline personality disorders. Relatedly, Masterson’s approach implemented Bowlby’s formulations of secure mother–child attachment in shaping an effective therapeutic alliance. Following Bowlby, Masterson emphasised the patient’s developmental need for a steadfast therapeutic frame and therapeutic respect for the despair suffered by patients coming to grips with the early trauma of insecure attachment. Extensive illustrations of Masterson’s specific interventions with the different personality disorder types are included.

Abstract:
The eventual attacks of 9/11in America, on The World Trade Center at Ground Zero, had changed the world and brought disastrous problems to a lot of civilians. Many people lost their lives; others were traumatized and suffered a disordered life. The disastrous event revealed the hidden aspects of the States and its assistants-the soldiers and copes. Studying the relationship between the psyche of individuals and their outside world is the core of this paper. The project investigates the reasons behind acting out trauma and its impact on individuals and society. The sociocultural approach applied helps in examining the behavior of the individuals through their reactions to the event of 9/11. Ken Kalfus's A Disorder Peculiar to the Country (2007), is analyzed according to the psychologist, Cathy Caruth's trauma theory and the sociologist, Kia Erikson's theory of cultural trauma. The novel deals with both kinds of trauma; psychic and cultural. It examines the behavior of the traumatized couple, Marshall and Joyce, lived a rather miserable and too hard and harsh life because of terrorism. Abstract:
Resilience is a person's ability to survive, rise, and adapt to difficult conditions. Individuals who have resilience are able to quickly return to their pre-psychic trauma, appear immune from negative life events, and are able to adapt to extreme stress and suffering. A child with disabilities, from an early age, the parents have to "prepare the child" from various aspects, such as physical, mental and social in facing the life that will be faced. So that children are better prepared to face challenges and do not suffer from a serious mental disorder even genetically they have the potential for psychiatric disorders, but with preparation and training in resilience from an early age and develop positive potentials of children and generate mature coping mechanisms, children will be better prepared to face life (Psychological Readiness) towards welfare and prosperity (Wellbeing) in society. This literature review aims to discuss resilience as a protective factor in early childhood psychosis.

Abstract:
An attempt has been made in the present paper to study and analyse the troubled and traumatized self of Sethe in Toni Morrison’s Beloved. A psychoanalytic thinker says “trauma places the relation between external reality and psychic reality in focus. A person’s personal experiences are represented in one’s own psyche and gets personalised. The internal world of wishes, conflicts and deficits, resulting from trauma, is negotiated in human interaction”. Here, Sethe felt affected both by physical and emotional trauma caused by the institution of slavery. The institution of slavery not only repressed the maternal bond betweenSethe and her children but alsoher own individualization and the development of her consciousness as a normal human being. Here, an attempt has also been made to explore how much she was affected by the repression of the memories of the trauma she had endured in her life and how much she was victimized and traumatized that she felt unable to nurture her own child Beloved. Under the oppressive conditions of slavery she found herself unable to form a maternal bond between herself and her beloved daughter. Morrison also tried to restore the historical record of the atrocities on the blacks during the period of slavery and give voice to the collective memory of Afro-Americans by depicting the trauma faced by Sethe

Abstract:
ABSTRACTBullying (violence) has a very negative impact on victims both physically and psychologically. Not all victims of bullying dare to share the problems they are experiencing with others, even though this is very disturbing to the psychic or emotional level of the client. The minimal level of awareness of the surrounding environment is also the reason for the lack of handling victims of bullying. When not getting the right treatment it will be very detrimental to the victims in the future, especially when victims of bullying are underage children. The impact that will be caused is trauma. In this study we will discuss how reality therapy is used to deal with trauma for victims of bullying in the women's social protection and rehabilitation center (BPRSW). This study will also use several other therapies including religious therapy. Because in practice if you only use one theory or only use one theory, it is not very effective to help deal with the trauma experienced by victims of bullying. The choice of subject here is with the approval of the hall, psychologist, and also confirmation to the LS (victim). The data obtained by researchers is derived from the results of interviews with the parties, psychologists, and also victims. From the results of interviews and also conducting observations in the field directly, reality therapy is believed to be used to deal with trauma to victims of bullying even though it requires several other therapies in its application and also requires a short time and more intensive counseling with victims. Abstract:
Today there is a lot of sexual violence against minors. A religious teacher as well as a scout and paskibraka trainer at SMPN Tangerang molested his students and the victim received trauma healing services for his psychic healing. If a child commits a crime, it is regulated under Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Justice System. Imprisonment for children is only used as a last resort (ultimum remedium). The issue of abortion is regulated in Article 346 of the Criminal Code, namely that a woman intentionally causes the abortion or death of her womb or orders someone else to cause the perpetrator to be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of four years divided by two. The author considers it important to examine this issue because children are the younger generation who must receive special protection. Problem Formulation How is the application of the law to children who have abortions? Can the crime of abortion committed by children be categorized into Article 49 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code. Objectives and Uses of Theoretical Research is expected to provide benefits and expand thinking on the development of legal science in the field of Criminal Law, especially in the crime of abortion due to rape. The method that the author uses in this research is normative juridical. In conclusion, children who have an abortion due to rape can be categorized into article 49 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code. Abstract:
Psychiatry, psychoanalysis and infant mental health research of the last decades have led to intervention concepts for pre- and postnatal stages of human development. Such concepts reach from how parents-to-be can be prepared for parenthood to how to intervene in support of relation and attachment in infants, toddlers and older children. Especially the postnatal relation of infant and parents has been examined extensively, as have parental competencies. The expression of intuitive parental competencies (according to Papousek and Papousek) may be compromised by diverse factors, thus putting the infant's psychic development at risk in general. Early intervention concepts may help out to some extent. In German-speaking countries, there are intervention programs focusing on bonding as there are on handling, processing of and coping with trauma, on promoting secure attachment between infant and parents, on relational issues, on bodily contact, on understanding the infant's signals, including those of the preterm infant, as well as on educational practices. From prenatal period onwards up to kindergarten age there are structured interventions, including the involvement of parents and parents-to-be. Yet, some factors of psychic development and of pathology may not necessarily be reached by these. Whereas concepts on an individual level of personality education do exist, nevertheless there might have to be collective measures. There seems to be a need to augment the agenda as there is good reason to assume that in the last decades there has been a motion toward new social deprivation stemming from societal depravation processes, which might potentiate future deprivation.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Children are still victims of sexual violence by perpetrators who are stronger than victims. Children who are victims of sexual violence have a negative impact on the psychic and mental, so that children will have trauma that is difficult to be eliminated or even prolonged trauma. So that the government established the Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Establishment of the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law. In the laws and regulations, it has been regulated regarding the castration penalty of chemistry. Indonesia is a country that still upholds all human rights possessed by every community in Indonesia without discrimination. This chemical castration execution raises the pros and cons in people's lives. So this chemical castration is considered to have violated the Human Rights of perpetrators of sexual violence against children. This research wants to dig deeper about the use of chemical castration punishment in perpetrators of recurrent crimes in the human rights perspective. This study uses normative research methods with conceptual and legislative approaches. Chemical castration has not been one of the effective penalties and provides a deterrent for perpetrators of sexual violence, so the laws governing chemical castration punishment need to be reviewed. Sehingga pemerintah membentuk peraturan Undang-Undang Nomor 17 tahun 2016 tentang Penetapan Peraturan Pemerintah Pengganti Undang-Undang Nomor 1 tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan Kedua atas Undang-undang Nomor 23 tahun 2002 tentang Perlindungan Anak menjadi Undang-Undang.

The Inner Child within a person is a past and present experience that can occur whenever and wherever the individual is. An experience can significantly impact behaviour when the child enters adulthood, even in old age. For this reason, it is necessary to study more deeply the cause and effect of the Inner Child with a descriptive analysis method and a narrative architecture approach that can help find solutions to recover Inner Child trauma. Based on the data, Inner Child is mostly experienced by teenagers, namely in cases of Domestic Violence. Parents as perpetrators cannot provide good parenting to children, so when children reach adulthood, their behaviour and emotions become unstable. A high awareness and empathy must be needed to restore these adolescents’ psychic and mental health. One of the design strategies applied is social care, where a camp-like lodging place (glamping) is provided to provide a sense of togetherness and kinship. Then, it is also necessary to use several therapeutic techniques from psychologists to restore the Inner Child trauma of adolescents. The therapeutic techniques performed would be converted into the form of architectural space as an act of empathy for adolescent victims of domestic violence who have poor Inner Child trauma. The space plays with materials, textures, nuances, and light as a procedure for Inner Child therapy techniques to release the inner child trauma.

Abstract:
IntroductionIn line with a consistent literature, young patients with disruptive behavior disorders in childhood and adolescence have experienced some traumatic events, such as abuse, rejection and violence assisted. Recent studies are focusing the attention on the role of attachment and post-traumatic symptomatology for a better evaluation of this clinical condition.ObjectiveThis study investigates attachment models and post-traumatic symptomatology in young patients with disruptive behavior disorders.Aim(s)The following objectives are set by the present study: – to evaluate attachment models in a group of children diagnosed with disruptive behavior disorders;– to evaluate their post-traumatic symptomatology;– to test the extent of the association between post-traumatic symptomatology and attachment organization in young patients with disruptive behavior disorders.MethodForty-two Italian patients aged from 8 to 15 previously diagnosed with disruptive behavior disorders are compared to 42 healthy control subjects. We administer the child attachment interview and trauma symptom checklist for children-adolescent.ResultsInsecure attachment are found in more than half of the patients diagnosed with disruptive behavior disorders and disorganization are highly over-represented. Furthermore, low levels of post-traumatic symptoms are found in young patients with disruptive behavior disorders.ConclusionThis study suggests that attachment organization may be a fundamental element to be assessed in the evaluation of disruptive behavior disorders in children and adolescents. Nevertheless, traumatic experiences do not seem expressed through psychic symptoms. The clinical implications are discussed.Disclosure of interestThe author has not supplied his/her declaration of competing interest.

Abstract:
Depression is the most problematic psychic disorder which comprises imbalanced life, uneasiness, grief, agonies, unhappiness, unpleasantness, the unsatisfied outlooks and the worries affecting the psyche of a person. Whenever, anyone loses something dear or loved, or there is any tragedy, difficulty, death, etc, the person feels depressed. The depressed person due to the feelings of helplessness and hopelessness deviates from the normal course of life and suffers from anxiety and pessimism. This Close to Happy is a deeply personal and intimate account of the life of Daphne Merkin. She has powerfully written the heartbreaking and illuminating life events to manifest both the symptoms and courage to overcome depression. She writes about the trauma in her childhood caused by the stay with her holocaust surviving parents leading her to depression later on. Though her family was financially sound, still Merkin and her siblings were made to live with some abusive caretakers leaving a scar on her psyche to push her into depression. Her mother would always almost all the time remain emotionally absent. Her father was extremely cruel and indifferent towards his children. She would have the thoughts of committing suicide and contemplate about death every time. As she came under the grip of depression, it became impossible for her to eat or talk properly even to her therapist. She underwent continuous therapy for almost more than forty years. This memoir is a significant attempt to break the stereotype of pretending to be alright and show all the inner and outer struggles to battle courageously the affects of depression.

Abstract:
This study aimed at describing mental disorders (psychic) experienced by two characters, Mak Ipah and Pemuda in “Mak Ipah dan Bunga-bunga” written by Intan Paramadhita. The two characters (protagonist and antagonist) of the short story were analyzed using psychoanalysis theory. The theory believes that human being is more influenced by the subconscious than the conscious. Like a psychotic patient with schizophrenia; the patient is unaware of his deviant behavior or pedophilia and only cares about his desire (affecting his sexual behavior) for children, which he considers as something natural. This study used qualitative-descriptive method. The research data were in the form of literary text (short story) that represents a person's mental disorder (the characters). The sources of resesarch data were from the narrative text of the short story "Mak Ipah dan Bunga-bunga" by Intan Paramadhita. The results showed that after the death of his only child, Mak Ipah was considered an insane individual and was then singled out by all the villagers. She became apathetic and chose to interact with the plants in her yard because she forgot the people around her. From this, the hypothesis drawn was that Mak Ipah has a psychological disorder, namely a psychotic type of schizophrenia due to a past trauma. Meanwhile, the other character named Pemuda suffered from a psychological disorder, namely pedophilia. It can be concluded that this short story tells two abnormal characters, and proves that "Mak Ipah and Bunga-bunga" is a short story with psychological disorders in its narration.

Abstract:
IntroductionIn contexts of chronic crisis, such as wars, the population is affected by prolonged traumatic exposure. In this type of context, it is sometimes difficult to provide psychological support to work through the trauma because the environment is neither stable nor reassuring. It is about finding care devices that despite the complexity of the situation, manage to bring relief and improve the ability to manage negative emotions and stress.ObjectivesThe objective of the intervention was to relieve people in distress, to help them contain their reactions to moments of anxiety so that they are more available and calm in their daily lives. Since the intervention could not provide long-term treatment for the potential traumatic stress, due to the abuses still in progress, it aimed to prevent the appearance and installation of the symptoms.MethodsA group protocol based on emotional stabilization exercises was offered to children and adults from communities affected by the fighting in the civil war in the Central African Republic in 2021. In addition to giving elements of psychoeducation, participants could practice exercises aimed at stabilizing emotions and managing stress.People could benefit from this psychosocial support with daily frequency for four consecutive days. At the beginning and at the end of the care device, psychometric scales were administered in order to be able to measure the improvement in well-being (WHO5) the reduction in symptoms of anxiety and depression (HAD) as well as traumatic symptoms in adults (PCL -5) and children (CPTS-RI).ResultsBetween February and April 2021, 1,200 adults and 400 children were able to participate in the emotional stabilization device. 90% of the participants showed an improvement in well-being and a reduction in stress and axiety reactions. The participants particularly appreciated the exercises for the ease with which they could be reproduced in daily life and transmitted to other members of the family and the community. Despite the fact that exposure to stress remained significant and daily, they expressed the feeling of having regained some control, at least over their own emotions and reactions. Conclusions In situations of chronic stress, where psychic traumatic symptoms cannot be treated sustainably, this emotional stabilization protocol can be an effective option to regulate the emotional states of exposed people and give them tools to cope with anxiety. Two important points to emphasize are also the fact that this device can reach a large part of the population without a lot of means and that it can be provided by non-professionals in mental health, if properly trained and constantly supervised by experts.Disclosure of InterestNone Declared

Abstract:
- After a brief review of the main psychoanalytic approaches to psychic trauma, the Authors propose some remarks on the relationship that, according to analytical psychology, exists between trauma, the origin of the emotionally charged complexes and the genesis of the different forms of psychic disturbance. They underline how psychic dissociation is a process that in some measure constantly coexists in the mind with the tendency to integra tion, and how dissociation, in its manifold forms of expression, is one of the main way the mind uses to defend itself from the consequences of a traumatic experience. In the end, some clinical observations illustrate the characteristics that the therapeutic relation can assume with traumatized patients.

Abstract:
This special issue concentrates on a dominant trend in contemporary transnational crime television: quality dramas featuring serial criminals who break the bodies/psyches of young women or children, thereby attracting the inquiries of female detectives who have suffered trauma themselves. This trend has generated resources, industrial partnerships, avid viewers, and, importantly for the authors here, feminist commentary across continents. We reframe the debate over whether these shows are feminist or misogynist by exploring staples of transnational language that underwrite their popularity in disparate national markets. In fact, we address the paradoxical gender-based violence and female empowerment at their core as crucial to their transnational legibility by tracking recurring elements that circulate a gendered and raced lingua franca rooted in fundamentals of media aesthetics: strategies of storytelling and genre, modes of perception, and the production of affect. Ultimately, these programs raise questions about cultural currencies of televised feminism in the digital era.

Abstract:
This paper presents a conceptual framework for understanding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychological battle fatigue (BF) as outcomes of mental adaptation to changing environmental conditions. These conditions are primarily linked to the experience of war, military threats, and the broader challenges of the global landscape. It is worth emphasizing that these challenges have, without exaggeration, affected the global population in 2022. The pressing need for research on PTSD and BF is driven not only by the significant shifts in global military events but also by the absence of fundamental methodological research that aligns with the demands of the 21st century. The author has identified crucial issues that form the basis for further comprehensive scientific and practical investigations. The overarching goal of this research is to develop effective methodologies and establish rehabilitation programs tailored to the specific needs of combatants, internally displaced individuals, and civilians residing in war-affected regions.

Abstract:
This essay explores the epistemological significance of the kinds of beliefs that grow out of traumatic experiences, such as the rape survivor's belief that she is never safe. On current theories of justification, beliefs like this one are generally dismissed due to either insufficient evidence or insufficient prepositional content. Here, Freedman distinguishes two discrete sides of the aftermath of psychic trauma, the shattered self and the shattered worldview. This move enables us to see these beliefs as beliefs; in other words, as having cognitive content. Freedman argues that what we then need is a theory of justification that allows us to handpick reliable sources of information on sexual violence, and give credibility where deemed appropriate. She advances a mix of reliabilism and coherentism that privileges feminism. On this account, the evidence for the class of beliefs in question will depend on an act of sexual violence (or testimony, or statistics) to the extent that the act is a reliable indication of the prevalence of sexual violence against women.

Abstract:
Starting from the idea that treating a problem is done more efficiently when we address the causes that generated it than when dealing with symptoms, respectively from theories that claim that most of the mental disorders have their roots in the mother-child relationship developed in the early childhood, through the paper entitled A Theoretical Perspective on the Therapeutic Role of Children's Folk Songs we intend to argue the more use of songs from children's folklore in music therapy. Thus, in the first part of the paper, we bring to the attention of the main theories that demonstrate the importance of the mother-child relationship from the early childhood in order to a healthy evolution of the child from the point of view of its psychic development, with special emphasis on their expression through vocal singing. In the second part of the study, we propose to approach the defense mechanisms from the perspective of the positive functions that it performs in the case of normal persons, as a defense mechanism and defense behavior. In the third part of the paper, we present an analysis of the repertoire of songs from the children's folklore from the perspective of the content of ideas, of the structure of the melodic line, of the specific rhythms, as a mirror of the relationships that children develop with themselves and with others, in particular with my mother. In the fourth part of the paper, we argue the use of songs from children's folklore in music therapy in order to trigger certain memories from the first childhood so that the traumas that have not been overcome are then treated properly. The paper concludes with some final considerations.

Abstract:
- The article directly refers to the revision of some basic concepts of Jungian thought, (archetypes as psychic organizers, the discussion on the relationship between intra-psychic vs. inter-subjective, the notion of psychic contagion, the concepts of psychoid and synchronicity), and to the most recent post-Jungian research (the archetypes as image schemata, by Knox, the emergent psychic development by Cambray, or the defences of the Self, by Kalshed). Referring to these themes, it is possible to connect some contributions coming from psycho-analysis to some possible mechanisms of inter-generational transmission. The Jungian perspective on psychological trauma (present conflict, dissociation and regression, adaptation) may give an important contribution to shed light on the fact based on clinical observations that beyond the direct effects of trauma which are directly felt by the person, the latter's mental life may be deeply affected and tied to traumatic events and contents which do not involve him directly, as they belong to previous generations.
