Abstract:
W niniejszym artykule ukażemy koncepcję nadziei zbiorowej polskiego psychologa Józefa Kozieleckiego. W obszarze psychologii i socjologii daje potwierdzone w tych naukach argumenty wskazujące na potrzebę uzasadnionej nadziei zarówno indywidualnej, jak i zbiorowej. Na tej bazie przekonuje do budowania społeczeństwa nadziei, gdzie góruje ona nad lękiem przed niedookreśloną przyszłością i wszelkimi zmianami. Wyraźnie stwierdza, że trzeba się przeciwstawić ideologizacji życia społecznego w stylu Francisa Fukuyamy, Richarda Rorty’ego czy Jacques’a Derridy. Tworzą oni intelektualne utopie, niemające potwierdzenia w naukowych badaniach psychologicznych i socjologicznych, choć są nośne w wielu kręgach kulturowych późnej nowoczesności. By wzmocnić to przekonanie Józefa Kozieleckiego, odwołamy się do badań Chantal Delsol francuskiej filozof politycznej. Badała ona zmiany kulturowe i polityczne w Europie w XX i XXI wieku. Określiła ten czas jako „późną nowoczesność”. W swoich pracach stawia uzasadnioną diagnozę, że pewne nurty niszczą nadzieję na osiąganie dalekosiężnych celów zarówno indywidualnych, jak i zbiorowych, a tym bardziej nadzieję eschatologiczną w imię tworzenia społecznych utopii. Efektem badawczym będzie zestawienie poglądów polskiego naukowca dotyczących nadziei zbiorowej z przekonaniem Chantal Delsol, że nadzieja, i to ta związana z religią monoteistyczną. jest ludziom potrzebna, by mogli się rozwijać i osiągać zarówno dystalne, jak i eschatologiczne cele. Wnioski zostały wypracowane w obszarze psychologii, socjologii i filozofii i wspierają przekonanie o wartości nadziei eschatologicznej.

Abstract:
<p>Analiza polityki zagranicznej ujmowana jako subdyscyplina stosunków międzynarodowych albo alternatywnie wyodrębniony obszar badawczy koncentruje się na wyjaśnianiu polityki zagranicznej, nawiązując do teoretycznych założeń i twierdzeń na temat ludzkich zachowań jednostek. Eksplikacja zachowań i decyzji decydentów podejmowanych w ramach polityki zagranicznej może wymagać sięgnięcia do kategorii i narzędzi wypracowanych w ramach innych dyscyplin. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie interdyscyplinarności badań, zwłaszcza przy przyjętej przez autorkę perspektywie jednostkowego poziomu analizy polityki zagranicznej. Zastosowanie narzędzi i kategorii właściwych studiom nad przywództwem politycznym, a także psychologii politycznej może umożliwić większą niż dotychczas weryfikowalność twierdzeń w badaniach nad polityką zagraniczną.</p>

Political conflict: interdisciplinary and multi-faceted subject matterCategories and theories that describe and explain conflicts and their properties, which derive from soci­ology, psychology and political science, use different levels of social-political reality: from meta-theories for example functional and coercive to theories concerning psychological processes. The aim of social sciences is to study political conflict in the following perspectives: social systems featured by unequal access to valued symbolic and material goods; cognitive, emotional and motivational processes of people partici­pating in conflicts; patterns and actual behaviors in conflict situations; mechanisms of conflict dynamics — cause-and-effect relationships that determine phases of conflict development; functions of conflicts, their creative and destructive effects on individuals, groups, societies and global society; integrative methods of conflict-solving as an element of positive sum game strategy; and at last, shaping the institutions of social systems capable of „civilizing” conflicts through limitation of their destructive sources, methods and effects.

Political conflicts in public space and mass memoryConflict provenance must be sought not only in economic conditions, but also in socio-cultural, especially civilizational, religious, ethical and historiosophical ones. Conflict analysis should depend on their pro­found explanation taking into consideration their axiological and ethical, psychological and historiosoph­ical implications. Conflicts are frequently stimulated due to presentation of various, often extreme, views and explanations of the present, rooted in historical peculiarities of distant or closer past, especially when atendency to prefer aleading role of affirmed, frequently controversial heroes, appears.

Abstract:
Political demography links demographic findings with public policies aimed at achieving state goals. Current challenge of population aging causes threat to internal financial stability and well-being of the elderly. Aging also questions countries’ international position due to possibly reduced financial capability to maintain geopolitical power, and in extreme situation of lowest low fertility also due to continuous, unstoppable decline in the population size. In case of Poland, aging alone would result in almost doubling expenditure on pensions and healthcare. To respond to social and geopolitical challenges, the government should primarily focus on policies aimed at stimulating births. To foster pronatalist policies, factors affecting fertility may be grouped into five categories: economic, cultural, psychological, infrastructural and unplanned. All these factors influence childbearing behaviour simultaneously. Some of them constitute barriers to fertility (which need to be eliminated) and the others facilitate fertility (and they need to be strengthened). The barriers include financial constraints, individualistic values, financial insecurity, union instability, insufficient support network and lack of family-friendly employment. Identified facilitators in turn include pension system linking benefits with number of children (family pension system) and family-oriented aspirations and values with religion as a vital ingredient. Father commitment to family life impacts both as facilitator and by eliminating barriers.

Abstract:
The main purpose of the survey discussed in this paper is to answer the question of which factors describe the status of political integration of Poles in Austria. Political integration concerns the phenomenon of joining the political life of a given political system and, to some extent, also its results. For the purpose of this study the notion of political integration is to stand for the involvement of the ‘visiting’ citizens in the political life of the ‘host’ state, in particular political participation, taking the form of public activity and voting in elections. The survey adopts a general theoretical model where the state of integration of Poles in Austria is comprehended in terms of a three-element political culture (comprising cognitive, emotional-and-assessing, and behavioral elements). It undergoes external influences, related to the period spent living abroad, and domestic influences of social identity (approached functionally). Additionally, the model assumes that these factors can be internally related. The empirical aspect of the analysis is based on the authors’ own survey carried out using a questionnaire, psychological scale and focus group interview of a sample of Polish émigrés in Austria.

Abstract:
This paper concentrates on the analysis of methodological problems of studies conducted using the Internet, in particular on the issue of whether it is reasonable to apply classical research techniques. These considerations start with the reflection on the ontological parameters of the Internet: its physical, socio-psychological and information properties. Next, the paper analyzes four groups of research techniques: surveys of opinion, studies of behaviors, studies of cultural creations, and studies of the structure of the Internet. The subject of analyses involves the range and content of modifications required in order to apply individual research techniques in the Internet.

Na przełomie wieków XIX i XX rozwój psychologii ograniczały w sposób ewidentny zarówno bariery polityczne, jak i wpływy ideologiczne. Pozytywnie wspomagały jej rozwój, prowadzone przez nią samą, badania empiryczne. Było to szczególnie ważne ze względu na rozwijanie w każdym z nowo powstałych krajów własnej terminologii psychologicznej. Badania i publikacje Franciszki Baumgarten, o których będzie mowa w tym artykule, wykonane w języku polskim w roku 1914, a opublikowane w tymże języku dopiero po 13 latach pokazują jeden z bardziej interesujących i szczególnie wartościowy przykład rozwoju metodologii badań empirycznych oraz są dowodem intensywnego rozwoju i specjalizacji języka polskiej psychologii.
