Актуальность темы определяется возросшим количеством безработных в современном обществе в связи с экономическим и эпидемиологическим кризисом, наличием противоречий между высокой потребностью безработных граждан в социально-психо­логической поддержке и отсутствием теоретической и практической разработки данного вопроса, а также преимущественно информирующим характером деятельности специалистов, работающих с этой категорией населения. В статье представлены результаты теоретического анализа психологических особенностей безработных граждан, осуществленного с целью определения направлений социально-психологической работы с ними, которая может обеспечить успешность адаптации этих людей к изменяющимся условиям жизни, связанным с потерей и поиском работы. Отмечены такие изменения в личности людей, потерявших работу, как страх, беспокойство, депрессия, невысокий уровень принятия себя и других, эмоционального комфорта и интернальности. К факторам, снижающим успешность адаптации безработных людей к новым условиям, отнесены повышенная тревожность, низкий уровень стрессоустойчивости, тревожный, неустойчивый, гипертимный типы акцентуаций личности, а повышающим ее — стрессоустойчивость, оптимизм, активность, коммуникабельность, интернальный локус контроля, эмоциональная лабильность, позитивное отношение к себе, своей жизни, позитивный атрибутивный стиль и др. Выделены невротизированный и конструктивный варианты поведения личности в ситуации потери работы; успешный и неуспешный, оптимистично и пессимистично настроенные типы безработных. С учетом всего вышесказанного определены основные направления социально-психологической поддержки безработных, коррекции их психологического состояния и помощи в трудоустройстве, среди которых выделены определение факторов, затрудняющих выход из кризиса после потери работы и выработка оптимальных способов быстрой и успешной адаптации к новым условиям. Указано на то, что расширение знаний о психологических особенностях личности безработных необходимо для их адресной социально-психологической поддержки и совершенствования работы специалистов по социально-психологическому сопровождению безработных граждан. The relevance of the issue is accounted for by the growing number of the unemployed in modern society, which is triggered off by the economic and epidemiological crisis, the discrepancy between unemployed citizens’ want of social and psychological support and the fact that the theoretical and applied aspects of the issue are underdeveloped and specialists who are expected to provide support provide information services instead. The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of unemployed citizens’ psychological characteristics. The analysis is conducted to estimate social and psychological support required to help unemployed people to successfully adapt to the changing conditions of life associated with employment loss and job search. The article shows that people who have lost employment are subject to dismay, anxiety, depression, low level of self-acceptance and acceptance of others, emotional discomfort, and internality. There are some factors that hinder unemployed people’s adaptation to the new conditions of life. These factors are extreme anxiety and low stress resilience, psycasthenic, unstable, and hyperthymic forms of accentuation. The factors that can improve one’s adaptability are stress resilience, optimism, active life style, communicability, internal locus of control, emotional liability, positive perception of self, positive attributional style, etc. The article discusses neurotic and constructive behavioral patterns in situations of job loss. It also deals with successful and unsuccessful, optimistic and pessimistic types of unemployed people. The analysis of the abovementioned factors enables the authors of the article to identify the major aspects of social and psychological support unemployed people need. It also enables the authors to elaborate strategies of psychological correction and employment assistance, such as the identification of factors that hinder one’s adaptation to the new conditions of life and the elaboration of strategies that will improve people’s adaptability skills. The article maintains that in order to improve the quality of social and psychological services rendered by specialists working with the unemployed and to ensure that all unemployed citizens get the required social and psychological support, it is essential to examine unemployed people’s psychological characteristics.

SummaryThe research on anxiety disorders of the department of psychiatry of the Vrije Universiteit is briefly reviewed. Studies have included comparisons between pharmacotherapy and cognitive behaviour therapy and combination treatments of panic disorder and of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Also, the hyperventilation model of panic disorder could be rejected as a result of an ambulatory monitoring study. Provocation studies with adrenalin in panic disorder have shown less support for a psychological model of panic than expected. Recommendations for future research include studies on anxiety in the very young and in the elderly, studies on comorbidity in anxiety, especially with alcoholism and depression and the development of treatment manuals for general practice. The issue is raised whether investing in neuroimaging studies will critically advance our knowledge in the near future.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of studying the psychological characteristics of students in connection with their digital behavior. Authors assume that digital behavior of students can be associated with the features of their self-awareness, self-appraisal and value-semantic sphere. In addition, the importance of individual components in the hierarchy of educational values is studied in connection with personality characteristics. The study involved 102 people - students specializing in the social sciences and humanities. As a result, the authors found that students’ digital behavior in terms of the online presence is associated with their self-awareness, self-appraisal and value-semantic sphere. Students who spend online less than three hours a day will be more active, extroverted and confident in their real life (offline) than those who spend more time online. The importance of individual components in the hierarchy of educational values is associated with the features of self-awareness, self-attitude. Self-appraisal, self-confidence, sense of independence and high appreciation of one’s individuality are associated with a greater intellectual need, a more active and conscious desire to improve their own competence.

Jung's difficult relationship with Philosophy is well known and has, to some extent, carried over into later work in the field, which tends to view ideas of a philosophical provenance with some suspicion. Nowhere is this more apparent than with ‘archetype’ and the perceived problems with the Kantian noumenal with which it is felt to be inevitably connected. My concern is that such suspicion is rarely psychological, that is, it does not take into consideration enough the psychological aspects and roles of such putatively questionable philosophical ideas. This is another aspect of not really appreciating the psychological aspects of some philosophy due to the illusion of disparity created by what often amounts to a difference of vocabulary rather than of fundamental concerns. I will examine some of the central Kantian concepts that I believe are fundamentally psychological and essential if we are to retain concerns that distinguish Analytical Psychology from related disciplines. We may feel a scientific or philosophical embarrassment when faced with ideas such as ‘noumena’ but my feeling is that, psychologically, there is little to be embarrassed about: such ideas are extremely important in giving some substance to defining concepts of the field of Analytical Psychology.

Abstract Background: Changes that occur in the learning process due to a pandemic have an impact on the psychological aspects of students. Factors that influence the psychological aspects of learning are intelligence, learning environment and learning methods. Online learning methods require adaptation to habitual patterns and use of technology. Independent learning, indirect learning, and multiple assignments, have a psychological effect on a variety of physical and mental complaints. Evaluation of online learning through understanding (cognitive) and affective results with reference to the cumulative grade point average obtained by students during online learning. Method: The research design used cross-sectional. The population in this study were all D3 Nursing students of STIKES Karya Husada Semester 2. Data collection techniques were Total Sampling. The independent variable is the psychological aspect of vocational students facing online learning and the dependent variable is the achievement of the student's Grade Point Average. Measurement of psychological aspects using a scale instrument of psychological aspects of resilience. The type of test used is the Chi Square test with p value <0.005. Results: Most of the respondents had a positive psychological aspect when learning online and had a very satisfying GPA. The result of the value correlation test shows a significance of 0.000, so there is a relationship between psychological aspects and the achievement of the student's grade point average.Analysis: Learning conditions that have implications for individual responses show that education as an institution is able to prepare students for online learning well. Conditions that can support the learning process, facilitators, academic tools and learning methods are quite varied, increasing the ability of students to follow each learning process. The competency target that is sought is still optimal, although not ideal, it will greatly help students achieve good learning outcomes.Conclusion: Achievement of learning outcomes can be influenced by interest, motivation, cognitive abilities, ability to share time, relationships with family, lecturers' explanations and living conditions, social conditions and individual abilities to adapt to learning conditions. It increases the level of tax literacy and tax culture in society, strengthens economic competitiveness and creates a series of macroeconomic effects. The purpose of the article is the study of social and psychological aspects of functioning and improving tax consulting services in Ukraine. Results. The theoretical aspects of the tax consulting are investigated. The basic indicators of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in the field of consulting are analyzed. The psychological traits of the conduct of fiscal and tax advisors are systematized. Deals with the social component of the tax behavior of taxpayers and outlines the reasons prompting them to deviation. Showed the role and place of business taxation in the formation of tax culture. Proved, that the active outreach by SFS of Ukraine will increase the level of tax awareness and create a tax culture in society. Formation and development of the effective market of tax consulting in Ukraine will increase the level of service taxpayers at the corporate level will lead to optimization of fiscal policy and strengthen its social role. Conclusion. The ability to use the tax employees in the work of social and psychological technologies can increase the efficiency of their operations and create the basis for improving the confidence of taxpayers to the tax system in general, increase of tax culture in society, and to create a basis for the functioning of the corporate tax consultancy in Ukraine

Abstract:
Work-family conflict is a type of interrole conflict in which psychological stress arises when demands from work domain interfere with one’s capability to carry out responsibilities associated with family. Social support, on the other hand, is commonly regarded as a valuable coping resource that can alleviate job stress. In the past few decades, different models have been proposed to understand the role of work-family dynamics in the workplace. However, some of these models are mutually exclusive. While some studies found that either positive or negative experience from one domain will spill to the other domain, a different stream of research found that the negative experience from one domain can be compensated by the positive experience from another domain. In an attempt to understand the underlying mechanism of work-family conflict, a moderated-mediation model was proposed. The model encompasses the indicators, the consequences, and the moderators into the study of work-family conflict. More importantly, the model puts forward the importance of a situational fit between the source of stress and the type of social support being offered (Study 1). It also emphasizes the significance of relationship closeness in affecting the effectiveness of social support (Study 2). Adopting the Job Demand-Resources model, Study 1 attempted to test the contextual variability of social support. In particular, the buffering role of two types of domain-specific support, namely the coworker support and family support, were tested in the work context. The results showed that there is a domain difference of the effectiveness of social support. The moderating effect of within-domain social support was stronger than the cross-domain social support. Coworker support was found to buffer against the linkage between job demands and psychosomatic symptoms, whereas family support was found to strengthen the lethal impact of the same relationship. Based on a sample with two time points of 18- to 20-month interval, Study 2 further tested the impact of relationship closeness on social support. Work-family conflict was found to be a mediator between the linkage of job demands and psychological well-being. A main effect was shown for both coworker support and family support in which the both types of social support from Time 1 significantly predicted Time 2 work-family conflict reported by participants. Peer support was found to be a negative buffer in the moderated mediation model in which a higher level of peer support was shown to intensify the negative relationship of job demands on psychological well-being through work-family conflict. The findings from the current research challenge the perspectivethat views social support as favorable at all times. In particular, the proposed model showed that receiving social support in a right context, or social support from significant others will be beneficial to employees’ psychological well-being, whereas social support from non-significant others in a misfit context will be hazardous.

Abstract:
Psoriasis is a skin condition characterised by raised, red, scaling patches that cover the body to varying degrees, with a prevalence of 1-3% in Caucasian populations. There is evidence that sufferers hospitalised for treatment of then psoriasis are more depressed and more anxious than controls (e.g. Fava et al, 1980; Lyketsos et al, 1985), but conflicting evidence about whether psoriasis outpatients are also more depressed and anxious. The research presented in this thesis examined depression and anxiety in a group of psoriasis outpatients and found statistically significantly higher depression and anxiety levels than in a group of matched controls. The relationship over tune between area of coverage of psoriasis, depression and anxiety was examined in another group of psoriasis outpatients. Using multiple regression analysis, change in area of coverage between two assessments was a significant predictor of depression and anxiety at the second assessment, once levels at the first assessment had been accounted for. Self- esteem was also examined in this way and was found to be significantly related to psoriasis area of coverage, where worsening psoriasis was associated with a lowering of self-esteem. There were statistically significant differences between males and females. Pain had not previously been examined systematically in psoriasis outpatients, but was higher than pain in matched controls in the first study reported in this thesis. Consequently the quality of pain was examined further, and found not only to be significantly related to psoriasis area of coverage, but also was described in terms which suggested a distinct character to psoriasis pain. Fluctuations in sleep quality were also found to be significantly associated with psoriasis area of coverage. Visual assessment of psoriasis area of coverage was shown to be unreliable, so a computer program (SKINMAP) was developed to allow psoriasis lesions to be mapped onto a computer which then calculates area of coverage. SKINMAP estimates were shown to be statistically significantly more accurate and reliable than visual estimates. Informal conversations with psoriasis sufferers suggested that they held firm views about their condition which often did not coincide with medical views. Lay beliefs about psoriasis in a group of sufferers were therefore investigated in detail. Sufferers showed quite high levels of knowledge about the condition, but the nature of some common misconceptions was investigated through the use of semi-structured interviews, and the results highlighted the need for better patient education.

Abstract:
This thesis contains a literature review and a qualitative research project. The purpose of the literature review was to examine recent literature on service user perspectives on seclusion, to explore the psychological impact of being secluded. Thirteen studies were identified, and their methodological quality was evaluated. The findings of the studies were examined and common themes were identified. Although some service users reported some positive aspects of seclusion, the overall consensus is that seclusion is distressing. This review suggests additional recommendations to those in the NICE guidelines, which may reduce the negative psychological impact of seclusion on service users. The research project investigated the experiential impact on inpatient nursing staff of caring for individuals with early psychosis, using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Five main themes were identified: 1) Working with uncertainty, 2) Feeling restricted, 3) The ward as a threatening environment, 4) “You’re like my bloody mother” - Working with younger patients, and 5) “Shut the doors and go home” - Coping and self-preservation. Working in the acute inpatient environment can be distressing for staff, however, participants in the study associated working with younger patients experiencing their first admission with closer emotional attachments and increased hope for recovery.

The psychological aspects of propensity to offend are considered. The relationship between attitude, personality, and reported offending is explored. Some literature considers how attitude influences offending; others look at the relationship between personality and offending. The present thesis proposes that there is a complex relationship between all three. The Attitude to Offending Style Scale measures preferences towards hypothetical offending styles. Shultzs’ FIRO-B explores the structure of interpersonal personality. Finally, an adaptation of Youngs’ D42 (D45) explores styles and level of reported offending. 254 members of the general public complete each of these self-report scales. An SSA-I tests the construct validity and structure of the scales stated above. Multiple regression analyses explore the relationship between attitude and personality, and how these influence level of reported offending. The moderating role of interpersonal personality is also considered. The findings reveal that Attitudes are categorized as: Instrumental or Expressive high risk, and Low risk. Shultzs’ FIRO-B scale has four facets: Expressed Inclusion Expressed Control, Received Inclusion and Received Control. Finally, reported offending is categorised as More or Less serious, Instrumental or Expressive, and target Person or Property. Results show that variations in attitude and personality styles are related to level of reported offending. Furthermore, it was found that the relationship between attitude and level of reported offending is moderated by level of ‘Received Control’. More specifically, when an individual shows a positive attitude towards Instrumental high risk crimes and feel ‘controlled by others’, their level of reported offending is also likely to be high. The presented research shows the value of considering attitudes towards offending, the moderating role of interpersonal personality, and how this relates to level of reported offending. The methods employed throughout the thesis demonstrate the strength and validity of self-report measures. Results are applicable to many areas, including direction and methods in future research. The findings can be applied to areas such as rehabilitation, interview techniques and preventative measures.

Abstract:
This thesis presents six studies concerned with the psychological status of people with audiological disorders, particularly tinnitus and hearing loss. Study One (Part I of the thesis) employed a structured interview and the General Health Questionnaire to investigate the emotional status of subjects with a variety of audiological symptoms. Psychological disorder was found to be more prevalent among subjects complaining of vertigo (64%) than among those complaining of tinnitus (45%); the prevalence of psychological disorder among subjects complaining of hearing loss was lower than among tinnitus subjects (27%). A higher prevalence of disturbance was found among subjects with multiple symptoms. A previous history of psychological distress correlated with current ratings of disturbance. Studies Two and Three (Part II) are concerned with the psychology of cochlear implantation. Methodological issues concerning psychological assessment in this context are discussed. Study Two uses Repertory Grid Technique to assess the psychological consequences of using an implant. Eight out of ten subjects reported important changes in psychological well-being related to their use of the device. Study Three identifies a group of subjects applying for an implant while having a non-organic hearing loss. The implications for the use of standardised assessment procedures are discussed. Studies Four, Five and Six (Part III) assess the cognitive functioning of subjects with tinnitus. Tinnitus subjects' performance on neuropsychological tests is compared with that of hearing impaired control subjects. Subjects were also assessed using the Cognitive Failures Questionnaire (CFQ). The emotional status of the subjects was assessed using the Speilberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. The Beck Depression Inventory was also used in Study Six. The groups were not distinguished by a number of neuropsychological tests, however it was found, in Studies Four and Five, that Tinnitus subjects' performance on verbal fluency tests was Significantly poorer than the Control subjects, after hearing loss was controlled for. In Study Six it was found that both Tinnitus and Control subjects performed less well than expected on the STROOP test; this was more apparent in the Tinnitus group. The Tinnitus group also obtained higher CFQ scores in Studies Four and Five. Trait anxiety was a feature of the Tinnitus groups. The implications for the cognitive functioning of both tinnitus and hearing impaired subjects are discussed in terms of Baddeley's model of working memory. The importance of these findings for complaint about tinnitus and hearing loss are considered.

AbstractIn the modern world, psychological problems like anxiety and depression are common phenomena in society. Dharma therapy is a Buddhist teaching-based therapeutic intervention which utilizes the Buddhist model of ending suffering to help clients to deal with psychological issues. In many cases, it has been shown to be effective. The present case study illustrates how the client, Mr. Peter Chan, who was suffering from anxiety, benefited from going through the intervention of Dharma Therapy. The article will describe what is Dharma Therapy, Mr. Chan’s psychological issues and how the seven steps of Dharma Therapy helped Mr. Chan to deal with his sufferings. Psychological tests administered before and after the therapeutic intervention showed improvement in all aspects of anxiety.

This article raises and discusses the main issues related to the technologies of working in conflict situations in the adolescent environment. Speaking about the conflict in adolescence, it is worth noting that scientists agree that it is communication with peers that is most significant for a teenager and largely determines all other aspects of his behavior and activity, personal development. Consequently, disagreements in the peer group, the struggle for status leads to a conflict of the parties. In this regard, we decided to develop technologies of psychological and pedagogical influence in working with conflict adolescents. We have developed a model of consistent work of actions, which will be aimed at preventing conflicts in the adolescent environment, as well as the formation of their stress resistance, self-control and self-control.

It appears that new trends will become more significant and constant in the future. Description The goal of the study was to assess mental health, socio-psychological and behavioural aspects in the representative sample of Latvian general population in online survey, and to identify vulnerable groups during COVID-19 pandemic and develop future recommendations. Abstract:
The research is based on the statement that retina produces the proper level of electrical activity, sourcing visual system. I started the research with partial darkening of different parts of the visual fields of humans to register possible psychological and physiological changes. The tested showed dramatically increasing variability and number of changes within just four exact types of darkening. More, emotional and physiological aspects of those changes were polarized into general acceptance and general rejection of a certain type of darkening in most of the individual tests. Thus the tested formed two opposite groups within every one of those types of darkening: a group with general negative reactions and a group with general positive ones. Further, those types of darkening turned out combined in pairs. General tune of reactions of most of the tested changed to strictly reverse within a pair of upper-lower types of darkening of peripheral vision and outer-inner ones as well. Between the pairs of types of darkening, there was no correspondence. The tested showed stability of their reactions during at least several months. Thus I may state a possibility of existence in the visual system of humans of two independent neuropsychological structures both having two alternative modes of functioning with a stable preference of just one of them in every individual case. If it is true, there may be a vision-based typology.
