Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
W rezultacie mamy do czynienia z narracyjnym i całościowym obrazem pacjenta w tekstach psychiatrycznych i psychologicznych oraz technicznym i częściowym przedstawieniem pacjenta w tekstach kliniczno-diagnostycznych.

Abstract:
The report examines the dynamics of the patient-doctor-psychologist relationship in the context of the development of psychology, the psychosomatic approach in the reproductive sphere with changing attitudes to psychology in society. Perinatal psychology with all the dynamics of its development and expansion to the concept of reproductive psychology has existed for more than 30 years. It has achieved great success in understanding the processes, and in training, and implementation into practice. Over the past 20 years, psychological assistance in general has also developed powerfully. This has led to an increase in the confidence of psychological care in the medical environment. The increase in the general level of psychological knowledge in society has expanded the understanding of both doctors and psychologists about psychosomatic connections and states. The need for more effective assistance in cases of reproductive disorders has now led many obstetricians and gynecologists to receive additional psychological education. This significantly strengthened the interaction of the patient-doctor (clinical psychologist) – reproductive psychologist in terms of awareness, professionalism and shortening the duration of therapy, which is very important, given the certain duration of the effective reproductive period. However, the request from doctors is more often from the field of psychology accompanied by the treatment process and short-term therapy of somatopsychological consequences (experiences of infertility, loss, pain). It is essential that there is no effective exchange of information between psychologists and doctors, which makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of medical and psychological interaction. The development of such information documentation is the next stage task in the psychosomatic approach in the reproductive sphere.

Abstract:
In recent years, the object of close attention of medicine and psychology has been the organization of the work of medical workers in connection with intense and often tense interpersonal communication, psychoemotional overloads leading to the onset of diseases, decreased ability to work and active period of life. The problem of professional stress, or «burnout syndrome» (BS) occupies an important place in the issue of the effective organization of work of such specialists [1]. The profession of a doctor requires physical health and psycho-emotional stability, because the daily work of medical workers is associated with the influence of complex stress factors, which leads to overload, rapid physiological and mental exhaustion.

Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has come a long way from the stages of being just scientific fiction or academic research curiosity to a point, where it is poised to impact human life significantly. AI driven applications such as autonomous vehicles, medical diagnostics, conversational agents etc. are becoming a reality. In this position paper, we argue that there are certain challenges AI still needs to overcome in its evolution from Research to Real Life. We outline some of these challenges and our suggestions to address them. We provide pointers to similar issues and their resolutions in disciplines such as psychology and medicine from which AI community can leverage the learning. More importantly, this paper is intended to focus the attention of AI research community on translating AI research efforts into real world deployments.

Abstract:
The great scholar Dimitrie Cantemir, considered the founder of Romanian medical terminology, treats man from the perspective of the three-dimensionality of body, soul, spirit. In the novel Hieroglyphic History, divided into twelve parts …, we attest reminiscences of Geto-Dacian medicine. Plato mentioned that this is one of the most evolved and contains the sacred teaching of human healing. Dimitrie Cantemir explains the state of health and the pathological state within the body → soul relationship, defining the terms megalopsychia and micropsychia, which designate the presence of the “big soul” and the “small soul”, an explanation made by the author. A true psychologist, the scientist mentions the importance of emotional balance, the lack of inner conflict in maintaining health, because “life sitting and serving good account, to cure all and cure”, is “in the form of soul power”, “health and all useful soul and body”.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of acceptance of psychological myths in undergraduate students in Health Sciences. Our results showed that first-year Psychology students believed more myths than did the other first-year Health Sciences students (Medicine, Dentistry, and Optics and Optometry). Third-year Psychology students drastically reduced their beliefs in myths in comparison with first-year Psychology students (Cohen’s d=1.7). Overall, we found a gender effect, being women less gullible than men in believing in myths. Age did not account for differences in myth acceptance. All in all, these results suggest that beginning Psychology students seem to accept more myths than other first-year Health Sciences students regarding psychological misconceptions. However, college exposure in Psychology students may favor critical thinking by diminishing myth beliefs.

Abstract:
Objectives: Breast cancer is the cancer with the highest incidence in women in Brazil. The revelation of this diagnosis is considered a crucial moment, responsible for uncertainties and even affecting the doctor–patient relationship. Although the communication of bad news is one of the most frequent practices among physicians, difficulties are common. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the communication in the diagnosis of breast cancer and the repercussions on the treatment, using the parameters as suggested by the Centro Avançado de Diagnóstico de Câncer de Mama (CORA/ HC-UFG) in Goiânia-GO. Methodology: This qualitative and integrative study was conducted in the following databases: PubMed, SciELO, and MedLine with six selected articles. The keywords used were “communication,” “diagnosis,” “breast cancer,” “adherence to treatment,” and “doctor–patient relationship.” Based on the results, a comparison was made with the one carried out in the CORA/HC-UFG. Results: Through the analysis of the articles, it was observed that the no tification of the diagnosis of cancer is considered a critical moment and how professionals notify patients directly interferes in the relationship of the patients with the diagnosis itself. Thus, it is up to the professionals to provide psychological and informative support at the time of diagnosis in order to reduce pessimistic feelings and to avoid abandoning the medical–hospital follow-up. In addition, when analyzing the care provided at CORA, it was noted that the adoption of a more humanized and multiprofessional communication, with the help of the psychological team, it was noticed, in agreement with the studies, a better acceptance and treatment adherence. Conclusion: The notification of cancer should be done in the most empathetic way possible, using techniques of psychology and communication, so that the patient receives information about his health situation in a welcoming manner. Furthermore, although the diagnostic communication is a medical act, the presence of a psychologist to support the patient has shown benefits.

Abstract:
Probabilistic interpretations consist of a set of interpretations with a shared domain and a measure assigning a probability to each interpretation. Such structures can be obtained as results of repeated experiments, e.g., in biology, psychology, medicine, etc. A translation between probabilistic and crisp description logics is introduced and then utilised to reduce the construction of a base of general concept inclusions of a probabilistic interpretation to the crisp case for which a method for the axiomatisation of a base of GCIs is well-known.

Kriegel, Francesco. Learning description logic axioms from discrete probability distributions over description graphs (Extended Version). Technische Universität Dresden, 2018. http://dx.doi.org/10.25368/2022.247.

Abstract:
Description logics in their standard setting only allow for representing and reasoning with crisp knowledge without any degree of uncertainty. Of course, this is a serious shortcoming for use cases where it is impossible to perfectly determine the truth of a statement. For resolving this expressivity restriction, probabilistic variants of description logics have been introduced. Their model-theoretic semantics is built upon so-called probabilistic interpretations, that is, families of directed graphs the vertices and edges of which are labeled and for which there exists a probability measure on this graph family. Results of scientific experiments, e.g., in medicine, psychology, or biology, that are repeated several times can induce probabilistic interpretations in a natural way. In this document, we shall develop a suitable axiomatization technique for deducing terminological knowledge from the assertional data given in such probabilistic interpretations. More specifically, we consider a probabilistic variant of the description logic EL⊥, and provide a method for constructing a set of rules, so-called concept inclusions, from probabilistic interpretations in a sound and complete manner.
