<p> Climate change has become responsible for substantial mortality and morbidity around the world. These numbers are said to rise, as climate change will continue to have both direct and indirect effects on human health, as well as threaten the determinants of health. Some health effects include asthma, respiratory disease, cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, health-related illness, human developmental effects, mental illness, neurological disease, vector-borne disease, waterborne disease, and more. This thesis provides the results of research that explores the relationship between climatic conditions and the incidence of valley fever in Pima County. Valley fever is caused by a soil-dwelling fungus, C. immitis, which responds to changes in climate conditions. Bivariate and compositing analyses provided the basic relationships necessary for the development of monthly multivariate models. The models are designed to predict deviation from mean incidence based on past, current, and forecast climate conditions. Abstract:
The rising global temperatures are a consequence of the increasing concentrations of the greenhouse gases (GHG) in our atmosphere. This unprecedented yet steady increase in GHG concentrations has led to an increase in the incidence of adverse high-temperature weather phenomena. The aim of this study was to perform a detailed and systematic literature review to study the global dynamic between elevated ambient Page 28 2016 Appalachian Student Research Forum temperatures and heat-related mortality. The review also aimed at exploring the effect of pollutants as possible confounders, to identify v

Abstract:
This thesis sought to explore the perceptions and experiences of Andean women regarding water quality, water scarcity, and health among two communities in Carhuaz province of Ancash, Peru. Household surveys (n=25), semi-structured interviews (n=10), unstructured interviews (n=2), and participant observation were conducted with local women to investigate their concerns and perceptions of water and health. An additional two unstructured interviews were conducted with a local water authority and doctor in order gain another perspective on the issues of water security and health. The pressure of a

Abstract:
The geographical location and geo-morphological conditions of Bangladesh have made the country highly vulnerable to climate change. Climate change impacts, including those on health, threaten to become a significant economic burden on the country, and hinder its development in the medium to long term. Floods, tropical cyclones, storm surge and droughts significantly impact on health directly and indirectly. Of these health impacts, vector-borne diseases, and in particular, dengue fever, pose a serious public health risk due to a lack of effective treatment or proven vaccine. Dengue infection

Abstract:
Considerable scientific evidence showing climate change will amplify disasters and cause adverse health impacts. If not mitigated, climate change will push health systems beyond their limits and capacity. The projected trend of increasing climaterelated disasters will intensify existing health risks arising from more frequent and severe extreme weather events like floods, bushfires, poor air and water quality, and emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. This incidents place enormous demands on the future of the healthcare sector, especially on hospitals. To prepare for and deal with the
